Guest Reviews
- Sergio (10/5): Struttura 10. Il fiore all’occhiello è comunque l host.

- Karen (10/5): - Fabulous host who provided lots of information.
The flat was perfect for me.
- Huchet (10/5): -
- Inesa (10/5): - Great location, especially because of hiking trails if you love outdoors, not city commotion. The owner of the apartments are really fantastic and helpful. Everything is in apartment what you need. Thank you. Nothing.
Hier gibt es alles was man benötigt.
Es gibt eigentlich nichts, was man vermissen würde.
Nichts
- Georgia (10/5): Home away from home - We loved casa vacanza Pappacoda!! It was very clean and spacious and we loved cooking in the kitchen and eating on the terrace. Francesco was extremely accomodating and communicative, he made great local recommendations and helped with transport. The location is great and gives a real authentic small town Italy feel but is so close to public transport that the whole coast is accessible. We loved our stay thanks!! Nothing
- Shelby (10/5): The most perfect stay in the most perfect location with the most helpful staff - I loved everything! The place was in the most beautiful location. My room was so clean and it was such a nice location to just relax after a lot of travelling.
The staff were AMAZING. I cannot thank Francesco enough. Weeks before my trip he was helping me with transport and supporting all my questions. Once I arrived he made sure I successfully got to my locations and helped me navigate transport in a country that is foreign to me. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. Very thankful. The location was close to a bus stop and the town. Overall amazing stay and highly recommend. Thankful for my time here. My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay longer! I loved it
- Filippo (10/5): -
- Théo (9/5): Amazing facilities with the most helpful people, but be prepared to spend some time in the bus to see the Amalfi coast ! - Very clean flat with everything you need and more, Francesco is the most helpful host ever, if a problem arises it gets fixed very quickly The only real thing I didn’t like about the property was the small amount of warm water in the shower, we only had maybe like 3 minutes of it
- Katharina (9/5): -
- Romeo (10/5): A piece of Heaven that is definitely a must see in this life. Highly recommend it ! - First of all, the host Francesco was amazing ! He helped me with everything I needed. Always gave me very good instructions for my journey , sent me good routes to Amalfi/Sorrento/Naples etc. Grazie mille, Francesco ! E stato un onore, forza NAPOLI sempre !!!
Regarding location - A very clean house in a very good location . Situated close to the center of Agerola, close to some very good restaurants and markets. People are very nice in this area, always willing to help. Nothing, everything was perfect. I HIGHLY recommend this Vacation House , especially for couples or families that will like to spend some relaxing days in Italy .
- Era (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolyn (10/5): A perfect stay - The apartment is smart, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The balcony space was great to sit and eat and watch the sun go down over the mountains and admire the sea in the distance. A really peaceful oasis amidst the relative chaos of the coastal resorts. The apartment is close to bus stops for transport to the coast and to Bomerano for The Path of The Gods. Also, free parking available. The host was attentive - checked in with us daily via messaging and helped with any questions re getting around and finding local facilities. This attention to detail from Franceso was really appreciated and totally unexpected (we didn't have this at any other accommodation during our stay). I would absolutely recommend a stay here - our favourite place to stay in Italy.
- Karim (8/5): Francesco was amazingly helpful - The apartment was very nice Francesco was very helpful throughout Water temperature was not up to the mark but didn't bother much as I was barely in the apartment.
- Sarah (9/5): A wonderful retreat with easy access to shops and public transport - For me, a keen walker who wanted to be surrounded by wonderful trails, it was fabulous!
San Lazzaro is a proper Italian community which caters for tourists without be touristy.
Francesco is a really supportive host who helped enormously with travel plans and local information etc.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and the bed really comfortable. While I was there it was really peaceful, a wonderful retreat. Nothing, everything exceeded my expectations.
- Anup (10/5): Great property, great host - Francesco is an amazing host. More like a big brother than a host. Always looking out for me night and day, at times i feel i was being anti social and yet he responded to every query and checked in on me during my entire trip.
He provided great tips, maps, parking and ticket details for Naples, Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. Despite me staying at his flat in Agerola for the Amalfi Coast leg of my journey.
The property had no on site host, so total privacy, great parking, was clean, spacious, quiet, great bus links and fantastic restaurants nearby.. Up in the hills, so great views from not far away.
Highly recommend the place and Francesco. He made all of the planning easy and his availability and tips were invaluable.
Thanks again Francesco. You're a legend!
- Cynthia (10/5): Beautiful location, amazing host—I would definitely return! - Francesco was an incredible host! I've never had a host who was so helpful and went above and beyond. He was genuinely caring, provided many recommendations, made sure we arrived safely, and even checked in with us to help with directions. Thanks to the convenient location, we easily explored the Amalfi Coast using the Agerola bus to Amalfi in the morning, and from there, took ferries to Positano and Capri. Definitely a beautiful stay, and I would love to return! The stay is a bit further from the Amalfi Coast, taking about 45 minutes to reach the center, but the area of San Lazzaro, Agerola, is actually more convenient. The buses are less crowded, so you're more likely to get a seat.
- Joy (10/5): Everything was wonderful 😊 - We loved everything😊very spacious, very comfortable had everything you could ever need.
The host is wonderful and caters to your every need.
Beautiful views.
Walk up the hill turn right supermarket just there, keep walking along
Madame lounge bar yummy food or keep walking to end Leonardo’s another great restaurant the view’s there are amazing 🤩 of Amalfi coast. Nothing 😊
- Adele (9/5): Great place for a few days of quiet relaxation away form the crazy mayhem of Amalfi. So nice! - Francesco was so very help with all the travel services getting to and around the area, and you need his help. The place was very clean, comfortable, quiet, view and a lovely place to stay.
Leonardo’s restaurant was really nice too! Little supermarket very close and bus as well. No toaster ( I’m a toast girl) the bus ride up, or down but that the Amalfi for you.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - The host was fantastic, always on hand to answer our questions and give recommendations. The balcony views, particularly at sunset, were lovely. The apartment has everything you need
- Van (7/5): Good - Cozy and clean apartment with everything that you need. Francesco is a lovely host and very helpful- it’s like having a friend in Italy!
- Millie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful area and great hosts who were super helpful
- Anna (10/5): Amazing !! ❤️❤️🍀🌏 - My trip to the Amalfi coast was an amazing experience, mainly thanks to the host Francesco🍀. Before the trip started I got a tip from him about how to get there which shortened my trip twice. He gave me a lot of recommendations about tickets, scooter rentals, safety, places to see and how to get there, hikes, useful apps, bus schedules, I didn't even ask about it, he came out with the most important information which was very helpful. We were in constant contact through whats app. On the first day I wasn't sure how to use the coffee machine, I sent a question to Francesco through whats up, not even a minute passed and a lady from the hotel staff knocked on the door to help me, it was mind-blowing! 😸I have never met such a helpful and professional host before. The apartment is nice, has 2 balconies, a large bathroom, a large living room, large bedroom, 2 TVs, a terrace, the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary equipment, including coffee and spices, it is very clean (apartment called Amalfi). I couldn't have found a better place, it exceeded my wildest expectations, I sincerely recommend Casa Vacanza Pappacoda. Although the apartment is not on the coast itself, the town of Agerola is well connected to the Amalfi coast, bus stops are very close to the apartment, a few minutes walk. If the Amalfi coast, then only in Casa Pappacoda.
Ps. on the premises of the house you can meet a cat with beautiful blue eyes ❤️😸 Everything was perfect !!
- Cynthia (10/5): Close to everything we needed and host was fabulous - The host was exceptional even sent us bus timetables and recommendations for other things.
- Linsemon (9/5): Superb - The location and the host. There are lots of wonderful restaurants nearby and beautiful views. It's a good place to enjoy with your friends and family
- Mary (10/5): host and apartment were 10/10 - the host francesco was such a lovely person! my trip wouldn’t have been the same without his help. he was so on hand with any questions i had especially regarding public transport as i couldn’t find any information on google. he was also kind enough to recommend some restaurants in the area and the restaurants were really good. the place was conveniently located - very close to the main square for the bus stop. nothing
- Nicolai (10/5): Exceptional - Francesco is a very accessible and polite host. He was very helpful throughout the entire stay. Everything lived up to my expectation.
- Jelena (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely recommended, great location and apartment. Clean and spacious. I would add a small table in front of the couch in the living room
- Alondra (10/5): Exceptional - We all loved the rooms and everything was very comfortable and clean. The hose was amazing and was easy to contact and quick to respond We liked everything!
- Kristina (9/5): Superb - very peaceful place, coffee bar and groceries are very close. The host is wonderful, you can truly count on his support with any queries. I would come again.
- Andrea (10/5): Excellent accommodation and value! - Very easy check in. The space was large and spacious. The rooms have a view. It is the last stop on the bus route, so you are likely to get a seat on the bus. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating! N/A
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jianfeng (10/5): wonderful! - Francisco is the best, the core value of the business. His service, actual his help which he doesn't charge, makes sure his guests have their time worth in Almarfi. I have never met a host like him, i can't thank him enough. absolutely nothing!
- Claudius (10/5): Exceptional - Francesco...very good host ,helpfully,warm,he provided us 24/7 any info we'd needed.
Very nice room,clean,with cucinette.
Near Path of Gods (cca 3.5 km,in Bomerano).
We will comeback.
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely amazing experience! The hospitality alone would make this a 10/10, very attentive and caring people. The location is very convenient, with everything you could ever need nearby, in a very quiet part of the city, very beautiful. Not to mention the neighborhood cats that you can see nearby, very cute 😆.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable, spacious enough to cook with no problem, we felt right at home! The bed was amazing, and the blackout automatic curtains were perfect for a peaceful sleep.
There is private free parking in the property, with also space for scooters if you want to rent one (like we did).
Overall a perfect stay, we couldn't be more grateful to Francesco for everything he helped us with, and the apartment was so comfortable we are already dreaming of coming back one day!
- Valentina and André
- I_lona (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed in this wonderful house for a whole week and we are very happy with this choice. Apartment Furore is cozy and tidy, with a terrace facing the sea and the mountains, spacious parking. It was a real oasis of quality rest and peace for us :)
A big THANK YOU to the host Francesco. His attention and valuable advice helped us a lot.
I highly recommend it! :) nothing
- Monika (10/5): Perfect stay. I can highly recommend. - Everything was perfect. The owner of the apartments very kind and helpful to solve any problems. We communicated via whatsapt and any question was answered immediately. The apartment is beautiful, clean, with a terrace and a view. I can highly recommend. Quiet location above the crazy Amalfi coast. A short walk from the apartment is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. I can't fault anything.
- Hematpour (10/5): Exceptional - Very warm hosting from the owner Nothing!
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Francesco was one of the best hosts I have ever had for an Airbnb. If I had any questions he would go beyond what I would ask and give me all the information I needed and more! He also arranged a shuttle from where I arrived to the flat, since I was coming in late in the evening. The apartment was renovated, had everything I needed, heating and a hot shower. Five stars out of five! The only downside might be the location if you plan to go a lot to Amalfi. There is a bus that goes every hour or so, and it takes almost an hour to arrive in Amalfi. But if you consider that it is also closer to castellammari di stabia, which is close to Napoli (with many train options from there), it is actually also a plus ;)
- Mridul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gareth (10/5): We used the apartment as a base from which to tour the Amalfi Coastal area, it suited us perfectly. - The host had made contact via Whatsapp prior to our arrival, and then when we landed in Italy.
He had someone to meet us when we arrived at the property.
We were met by a charming young lady who gave us the keys and showed us around.
The host also provided us with further information via messages and was available to answer questions if needed.
- Katarzyna (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing, modern apartment with very good facilities. Great location to visit Amalfi Coast. Although never met in person, very nice and helpful host. Always available to help and advise. We can highly recommend this place
- Sachin (10/5): Amazing stay, great facilities, amazing host!! - Amazing apartment room, great price, had good wifi, sink, kitchen, water, bathroom, and privacy. Host was great, he constantly checked in on text giving me advice on which routes to take from Napoli to the various places like Amalfi, Positano, Capri, etc. He helped me with all questions I had very quickly. Commute is about an hour from Amalfi, however it is a beautiful one and justifiable given great price.
- Joanne (9/5): wonderful. - lovely property, it was so nice to sit on the balcony. clean, tidy, a good night's sleep. excellent host extremely helpful and quick to answer any questions. The village is great and very friendly people.
- Elnaz (10/5): A very pleasant and safe stay with lots of support from owner! - I really enjoyed staying here. Everything was spotless clean and kitchen was great to prepare meals at home. Having said that Agerola has some really great food both local and general Italian cuisine to choose from. The apartment was also generally very beautiful, well lit with lots of big windows. The little town above the Amalfi Coast was very friendly and a quite place to stay away from the more touristy Amalfi town or Positano.
More importantly for me I was VERY grateful to Francesco who provided lots of advice from the beginning to the end of my trip, including where to get bus tickets from, how to get around, booking ferry to Capri, food/sightseeing recommendations and etc. He checked on me periodically to make sure I had everything I needed. I recommend Francesco to put together a small package with all of his tips and advice as information for the guests in the future :)
- Natallia (10/5): Exceptional - Casa Vacanza Pappacoda is 100% recommendation.
Very clean and comfortable apartment, everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, a terrace with a great view.
Store and bus stop are close.
San Lazzaro is a place in the hills. It’s takes 1 hour to reach Amalfi by bus.
It's a very convenient location for starting walking on the Amalfi coast. It’s takes 15 minutes to reach Bomerano by bus (start of the popular Path of Gods). Route to Valle Delle Ferriere starts in San Lazzaro too. It’s route (there were no people at all) in the mountains with stunning views, which ends with several impressive waterfalls.
FRANCESCO!!! He is the most hospitality and responsiveness host you've ever met!
He was in touch every minute since plane was landed in Naples airport and till my backing home. He made my holidays ideal: he gave many tips, all info about public transport, recommendations for restaurants, etc. He saved me twice and advised the most optimal solution: when I had a chance to miss the last bus to San Lazaro and when the ferry to Naples was cancelled at the last moment. I really think he's a guardian angel for him guest.
I chose Casa Vacanza Pappacoda according to the reviews. And now I have received full confirmation that this was the most correct choice of all
I wish everybody could felt the same!
if I could give 100 points, I would give them!
- Unknown92 (8/5): Nice appartment in a small charming town. - Beautiful location a little bit away from the main touristic spots. View of the sea, from the balcony, appartment is nicely equipped. Town was very sweet. Airconditioner was a bit loud.
- Wolfgang (9/5): Superb - Our stay here really made our trip in the Amalfi Special. It is well situated in the hills a short drive from the trail of gods and a scenic drive to the coast. The host was attentive and helped us with all our queries including moped rentals and restaurant recommendations. The apartment has an unmistakable Italian flair and is very welcoming. It has all the amenities for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
- Desai (10/5): The perfect place to relax - The accommodation is beautiful and the view looks exactly like the pictures- stunning. Our host, Francesco, was helpful in every way you might expect. He helped us plan our journey to Agerola on a national holiday. We would have ended up very lost without his advice. Moreover, his recommendations, hospitality and responsiveness made our stay very smooth and relaxing. We had a very enjoyable time at Casa Vacanza Pappacoda and would 100% recommend! Nothing
- J (7/5): Good - The owner is really friendly. And always in for helping out with finding the right thing. The first few nights it was difficult to sleep as I could here the Neighbours talking. But overall all was ok.
- Viktoriia (10/5): The perfect location to do the Path of Gods - The contact with the host was just exceptional even though we didn't meet. The host provided all info about buses, tips etc via whatsapp which was very helpful. The apartment is 10 min by walk from the last stop Agerola. It's the perfect place to stay if you would like to do the Path of Gods hiking. Just keep in mind that during summer it takes up to 1h to get by bus from Amalfi to Agerola. I was traveling from Sorrento, and there are no direct buses, the buses are very busy and sometimes you need to stand. Sometimes there is no A/C. I would probably take a ferry next time.
- Samir (10/5): One of the best B&B I've stayed at! Francesco (owner) is very nice and kind guy, helped us a lot! -
- Katelyn (10/5): Francesco was the best host i’ve ever had. He was constantly making sure we knew where to go, what restaurants to go to -
- Nadya (10/5): Warmest and greatest host! - Francesco is just the best! He's really helpful throughout our stay. He guided us on the best route and what to take for the bus, and he always made sure everything's okay so we were really grateful and comfortable. Nothing, the flat is perfect!
- Radovan (10/5): We had a great time at this accomodation, all the necessary things (bathroom kits, kitchen equipment..) were prepared an - The flat was really nice and clean, the host was very helpful and provided us with useful advice and recommendations about where to go to eat, beautiful spots to see and bus schedules. He also arranged transportation to the airport for us in the early morning.
- Luwam (10/5): Exceptional, A 5-Star Experience at casa vacanza pappacoda - I recently had the pleasure of spending a memorable 15-day honeymoon vacation at Francesco's Guesthouse, casa vacanza pappacoda, and I must say it was an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. Nestled in a picturesque location, the guesthouse exudes warmth and charm from the moment you arrive, making it an ideal destination for couples seeking a romantic and tranquil retreat.
From the onset, we were greeted by the gracious and amiable owner, Francesco, who went above and beyond to make us feel like part of his family. His genuine hospitality and attentiveness made us feel immediately at home, setting the tone for an exceptional stay.
One aspect that truly distinguished Francesco's Guesthouse was the personalized care we received during our visit. Unfortunately, I fell ill during our stay, but Francesco's unwavering support and assistance were nothing short of remarkable. Not only did he take the initiative to arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, but he also accompanied us throughout the process, providing invaluable translations and ensuring we were well taken care of. It was evident that his commitment to his guests extended far beyond the traditional boundaries of hospitality.
When I was ill, Francesco went to great lengths to accommodate to the hospital with his friends even journeyed a considerable distance in his car to assist us, further exemplifying his unwavering dedication to ensuring our happiness and comfort throughout our stay.
The guesthouse itself was a delightful haven, impeccably maintained and thoughtfully designed. Our accommodation was cozy, well-appointed, and adorned with touches of elegance, creating an ambiance that perfectly complemented the romance of our honeymoon.
The culinary delights served at Francesco's Guesthouse were equally praiseworthy. The delectable meals showcased the culinary expertise of Francesco and his team, tantalizing our taste buds and presenting a delightful fusion of local flavors.
- Roos (10/5): Amazing, helpful host and clean, spacious apartment - Francesco is the most impressive and helpful host you've ever had! He guided me from Naples airport to the apartment and even when I arrived, he still ensured everything was fine. Also, during my stay, he gave many tips, recommendations for restaurants, etc. If you want to stay at a place with an amazing view over the mountains, the best host and a clean apartment, this is your go-to place! Nothing.
- Art (10/5): We had a great time in Agerola staying in this wonderful apartment. It was in a very good location and the property was - The property was clean and in a very good location. It had everything someone can ask for.
- David (9/5): Exceptional stay - The host was exceptional, helped in any aspect that was required. Was given local sightseeing spots, food recommendations and where to get where was needed. The room had all the toiletries that you will need provided . The public transport link was difficult if you need to get to Positano and quite busy but this is not the fault of the accommodation.
- Jinlegendary (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Particularly the view was just phenomenal. It's just like the photos if not better in real life. The host Francesco personally kept in touch with me from my way down from Naples all the way through until I made back to Naples airport at the end of the stay. An absolutely beautiful soul who saved me from making dumb mistakes as a first timer to the region. The size/comfort of the apartment is excellent. Maybe the mattress could upgrade in the future, but it was still OK enough for me. Full kitchen, complimentary coffee machine and pods, squeaky clean bathroom, nothing to complain about. Great price and value considering the notorious Amalfi Coast prices.
All in all, if you're on a budget, fit, and willing to keep an open mind and be flexible with your daily plans, this place will beat most other options around Amalfi Coast. Highly recommend!!
Tips - For Positano, I took the bus to Amalfi but got off halfway at the stop by the zipline place. Ziplined down through the green valleys with a spectacular view of Fiordo di Furore - totally worth €40 - then walked down about 30 mins to the fiord from the bottom zipline station. Once you've seen the fiord or swam in it, you can climb back up the steps and take a different line of bus that goes through Praiano and ends up in Positano. Alternatively, there are ferries throughout every day between all the major coastal towns. Maybe the transport here can be a little tricky as the place is 1 hr bus ride away from Amalfi town. Buses in this part of Italy are not the most reliable, but the place is located very near the start of the bus route so going into Amalfi town will always be on time. But don't be scared, as these bus rides themselves are an amazing scenic tour of this magical dreamland especially with the help of such a kind host. I recommend finding a seat at the last rows as the seats there are elevated and give you a better visibility. The apartment conveniently sits right next to the stop with access not only to Amalfi town but also a direct bus ride to Naples central station, where you can change to an Alibus that goes directly to the airport. The only negative experience I had was on the last day before getting back to Naples airport, when the bus from Amalfi to San Lazzaro(back home to pick up my suitcase) was significantly delayed. They were also limiting buses between Amalfi and Ravello so I assume there were some problems on the roads after the heavy rain. Luckily I allowed myself plenty of time so I still made it to my flight with no major issue.
- Jeanne (9/5): Superb - it is updated, clean and comfortable. Also, very helpful with recommendations.
- Aren (10/5): Fantastic stay. - Away from the hustle and bustle of Amalfi, but spectacular views and a lovely village to explore. perfect start point to hike to Positano or Praiano on the Path of the Gods. The host Francesco was super helpful and available and made the stay so much better.
- Rozanski (10/5): Exceptional - The host was really convenient, he nicely agrees on doing the check-in earlier. The property was clean with an amazing balcony. The host kindly left us some snacks, some shampoos, towels and so on. He also sent us the schedule for bus and boats which was really helpful. Francesco was an amazing host!
- Ogwish (8/5): Very good - Francesco, hands down the best host I've ever met!
Realy helpful and kind. great appartment, clean and comfortable, great view from the balcony, quiet place in Agerola and only 30 minutes driving to Amalfi
- Jorge (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable place to stay, convenient transportation to the popular touristic towns and specially an outstanding care, attention and help by the host. Hard to find anything to criticize.
- Bisi (10/5): A pleasant stay in Agerola. Can’t wait to be back. - A BIG thank you to Francesco and his team for accomodating us so well at Casa Vacanza Pappacoda. A warm welcome greeted us, with radiators switched on for our first (and only!) chilly night. We enjoyed the clean, bright and well equipped apartment. If you don’t fancy sharing the bed then the sofa bed in the living room provides a very comfortable sleep. The balcony was a plus too. Responses to questions were patiently and helpfully replied to. We appreciated the people in San Lazzaro too; laid-back and friendly. Madame's was a favourite spot for drinks especially the Negroni. The supermarkets, bakery and pasticerria were excellent.
- Himanshu (10/5): Excellent Apartment!!!!😍 - 1.) Apartment is very nice , and have all the necessary stuffs which is required for a traveller. I will rate 10 out of 10 for Apartment 😊👌👍

- Belghian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariam (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, 10 minutes away from the city bus. The apartment was really nice and big, it was clean and there was a lot of food offered at our arrival for breakfast which was really nice!

Everything was so good and the host is an amazing guy. Nothing!
- Lisanne (10/5): It is a great place to stay for an amazing holiday - Franceso's appartement is amazing. It has everything you need to have a pleasant stay, good beds, good shower, kitchen with stove, oven and big refridgerator. It also has these cute little balkonies on which you can have breakfast in the morning. The appartement was very neat and tidy upon arrival and during the week we received an new set of towels. When we arrived we found a big basket with goodies for breakfast and during the week we received another one of this richly filled basket. Franseco's service was absolutely amazing. He gave us a lot of tips and advice about transport, boattours, best places to go out for diner etc. He was at any time of the day available to answer any of our question. He sure made our stay was as pleasant as can be. What is also nice is that this place/village lies very central, you can easily reach the amalfi coast and Positano either by scooter or local bus. It is also a quite little village, not many tourists and the local cuisine is wonderful. And not to forget, the local people are very very friendly. So, if you ever want to go and visit the amalfi coast, this sure is the place to be.
