- Scott (10/5): - Absolutely fabulous stay whilst attempting the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Couldnt fault a thing.
- Ms Iwona (10/5): - Amazing experience with the owners Jan and Edd. They went above and beyond and made this experience so memorable. The house itself has a great vibes and calming atmosphere. I enjoyed it very much. I was also very well looked after. Food was amazing, tasty and rich; I could not ask for more. I would strongly recommend.
Thank you.
- Anthony (10/5): - Very deserving of their high rating, Jan and Edd are very accommodating and an absolutely lovely couple. Had the pleasure of staying here recently when I took on the Yorkshire 3 peaks, great service and that bath with epsom salts is an absolute godsend, very happy with my experience here.
- Triena (10/5): - Absolutely brilliant place to stay
- Jenny (10/5): Yorkshire 3 peaks charity walk made easier - Amazing lovely room food superb and super friendly thank you for making us welcome and walking the 3 peaks easier
- Luke (10/5): - Exceptional! Highest of recommendations!
- Wendy (10/5): - Lovely property very homely and home cooked food. Ideal for walking and the three peaks. Lovely find.
- Geoff (10/5): Nice place, lovely host! - First thing we realised when we turned up was that you are not staying on a farm but in a characterful old farmhouse. You have to park on the road outside but it is off the main road and is very quiet.
Jan, is a wonderful host, welcoming, friendly, and a really good cook. The breakfasts and the one evening meal we had were excellent - and better than the ones we had in the upmarket hotel we stayed in afterwards. If you like good food then consider staying here. The dining room is nice to eat in.
Our room was spotlessly clean, well decorated and comfortable. This is an old property with character, so it was no surprise to find slightly sloping floors in our room. We noted just two niggles. It may be down to water pressure or the shower head but the shower in our room was not particularly powerful. The second issue is if someone in a neighbouring room decides to get up at 4am to go downstairs and/or leave early, you will probably wake up. This happened only once however.
With Pen-y-ghent and other attractions close by this is an ideal B&B for hikers, walkers and sight-seers. We tend not to stay in the same place twice but, should we go back to the area, we may well look to stay here again.
- Michael (10/5): - A lovely find on the hotel search web-site with a friendly couple running the B & B. Even helped me find the property in the dark as I got slightly lost. Room tidy and have everything I needed. Breakfast was excellent.
- Fiona (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Wonderful stay at Middle Studfold Farm. Lovely rooms, great breakfast, and warm and welcoming hosts.
- Florence (10/5): - We had a really lovely, relaxing stay here. Jan was so helpful and kind, and gave us lots of advice for our 3 Peaks hike. The b&b is perfectly located for this, just a 5 min drive from Horton. Our room was so comfortable and we immediately felt at home. Great coffee facilities in the room, a big comfy bed and clean, spacious bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic. Parking was easy, right outside the b&b. We will definitely come back to stay! ❤️
- Janet (10/5): Perfect in every way. - Best B&B we have ever stayed in.
From start to finish with the warm welcome, fantastic service, lovely rooms and delicious food. Everything were perfect.
- Brian (10/5): - Warm welcome was outshined by the gracious host.
- Marc Ashley (10/5): - Hospitality shown from the owner, Excellent and faultless. Breakfast wonderful. Room a little on the small side, but adequate enough. Went out of their way to ensure my stay was very welcoming.
- Christine (10/5): Y3P Challenge - Great hosts, lovely accommodation, very early breakfast if required, lovely stay felt at home.
- Maisie (10/5): 31 May to 2 June - Great from check in to check out and everything in between.
Jan couldn’t do enough for us and was very helpful with information on the area.
Room was very comfortable with nice touches like dressing gowns available if we’d wanted to use them. Everything throughout the property was spotless.
Dinner was cooked to perfection as was the Yorkshire breakfast.
The choice of cold breakfast items was plentiful from yogurt to granola parfait to cereals & fresh fruit salad.
If we are ever needing accommodation in the area again we will definitely be looking to go back.
And will recommend to our family & friends
- Dominic (10/5): 3 Peaks - Perfect. In every way. Clean and comfortable.
Hosts are beyond lovely
- James (10/5): Amazing service - From start to finsh the hospitality shown by Ed and Jan could not have been any better. Would highly recommend staying in this amazing B&B if you are in the area
- Derek (10/5): excellent allrounder - Excellent location ; plenty of free car parking. Just a few yards off the main highway and 5 minutes by car up to Horton in Ribblesdale railway station. very comfortable rooms ( 5 in total). Very well furnished with immaculate bathroom/shower. Warning - wash basin hot water scalding hot.. decent shower. Spotless rooms. Well above standard breakfast with traditional/ Vegetarian options plus yoghurts, cereals, fruit etc. Owners very helpful in all ways. Teahouse run by the owners next door with wide range of homemade cakes, scones etc. A good choice for any number of nights.
- Lucy (10/5): Just perfect. - If you’re hesitating, just book! You’ve stumbled upon the most charming, cosy, beautifully renovated b&b with warm service and yummy food. Thank you!
- Elizabeth (10/5): - We had an incredible stay here, the hosts were really welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They went above and beyond by offering us lifts to various destinations during our stay. The house was exceptionally clean and the food was amazing. The beds were extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here if available during our future visits to the area. I would highly recommend this B&B.
- JACQUELINE (10/5): Fantastic place - Loved everything about this B&B.
Great food, great service, beautiful room, great location (close to Pen Y Ghent).
- Alan (10/5): - Jan (the Boss) & Edd were very easy going and considerate hosts. Nothing was a problem for either of them. They understand that being a B&B near the Yorkshire 3 Peaks that special start and finish times are essential and they were willing to do early breakfast and make up a fresh packed lunch for me to achieve my aims. The meals were superb. I am planning to visit again soon and take my wife along with me as this place was beautiful.
- Nishit (10/5): Lovely property - Comfortable stay next to the Yorkshire 3 peaks. Excellent breakfast. Very warm hosts.
- Leanne (10/5): - Jan and Edd were welcoming, friendly & helpful. The property was lovely. The location was pretty & peaceful and a perfect find for the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Would highly recommend.
- Robert (10/5): - This was the most luxurious and clean BnB I've stayed at in my recent years. Fantastic hosts. The food is absolutely brilliant. Views of the Yorkshire dales from my room were beautiful. The reviews are worth it.
- Michelle (10/5): Wonderful! Fully recommend! - An amazing 3 days with the warmest of welcomes! Spotlessly clean, beautiful inside and out, great views, near lots of wonderful walks.
The breakfast is fabulous and highly recommend staying for their dinner which was so good we had it twice! Great tea room too. Can’t recommend highly enough, do not doubt yourself for a second about staying here.
- Georgina (10/5): - My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Middle Studfold Farm B&B. Jan and Edd were very warm and welcoming and the property and surrounding area were absolutely stunning. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway. We will definitely be returning in the future.
- Verified traveler (10/5): surperb b&b one of the best - Amazing B&B, great warm local food, the hosts are warm, welcoming and very accommodating, vegan friendly.
If you're doing the three peaks they can provide early breakfast and packed lunches. The decor is super cute and cozy, you have everything you need to feel like home. The bathroom feels like newly built, looks great, my only criticism, I'm not sure if it was my room or it's the region in general but in the shower I couldn't get the water too hot (it wasn't cold, just not warm enough) and the water pressure was not very good either, which it's a bit disappointing, but since I was only showering once I didn't ask about it at the time.
- Vic (10/5): - The hosts, Jan and Edd, were very welcoming and provided a fantastic service. They were very knowledgeable of the area.
The place was lovely, clean and felt very homely. Food was delicious and a good variety of options was offered for both breakfast and dinner.
- Simon (10/5): - This is how all B&B experiences should be! Faultless. From the relaxed and friendly welcome to the packed lunches, evening meals, delicious breakfast, decor, and spotless rooms, our stay at the Middle Studfold Farm B&B was 5-star. It's been a long time since I've been able to write an unreservedly positive review but Jan and Edd deserve praise at the highest level. Great stay, and we'll definitely be back.
- Anne (10/5): Excellent all round - Excellent experience. Ideal for 3 peaks walkers - early breakfasts and transport available. Excellent breakfasts and dinner.Lovely room and friendly owners.
- Christine (10/5): - Can't fault this property. Edd & Jan are superb hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food, fabulous service. It's the attention to detail thst makes the difference here that gives them a gold 🏅 medal.
- Zhimin (10/5): Great B& B - Very good B&B, clean, good service. Can adapt to customer's needs, such as provide breakfast very early time, provide packed lunch. highly recommend it for the place to stay for Yorkshire 3-peak challenge.
- Alexandra (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - Absolutely fantastic stay, friendly and welcoming, great service - especially the ridiculously early cooked breakfast before tackling three peaks! Also a fab packed lunch provided. Couldn't have asked for more.
- Andrew (10/5): Ingleborough - Brilliant place & location near to Horton where I was meeting old friends. Ed even dropped me off at the station. The food was amazing. Hosts Jan & Ed were fantastic. Such a little gem of a place. If I'm up here again I would definitely be looking to stay here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location far from busy and noisy town. Comfort room. Clean. Friendly and knowledgeable owners. Food is very delicious. I would recommend to book a dinner if you stay here, you won't be disappointed. The apple crumble and the homemade ice cream were one of the best I have ever had. Hoped to try the tea room but always finished late. We'll be back next time.
- Heather (10/5): - Absolutely fabulous!
Stayed for a weekend whilst doing the 3 Peaks challenge nearby and it was perfect. The room was very comfy with everything we needed. Ate breakfast and evening meal at the B&B and the home cooked food was excellent. The hosts were wonderful and we can’t wait to return (without the crippling walk next time!).
- Peter (10/5): Y3P weekend stay - I found this beautiful little gem whilst searching for hotels close to Horton for our upcoming 3 Peaks Challenge. My husband and I arrived shortly before 4pm on Friday the 1st of April, we were warmly met by the owners Jan and Ed, from this moment the whole experience was nothing short of amazing.
Upon arrival we were told to sit round the back and we had a choice of drink and cake, both of which were fantastic, Jan spoke to us about the place and asked why we were there.
When we informed her that we were doing the 3 Peaks walk on the Saturday she offered us a personal breakfast at 5:45am so we could start at 6:30am, she also offered up some good advice about routes and what to take.
The bedroom we were in ‘Fountains Fell’ was modern, very clean and very comfortable, it had everything you needed and we loved it, the views are also on another level.
Saturday morning we had our breakfast at 5:45am and also chose our dinner for that evening, we thanked Jan and headed out for our walk. Middle Studfold Farm B&B is an ideal base for the 3 peaks walk, you are literally a mile down the road from Horton so we drove down parked up and started our walk.
Dinner that evening was amazing, Ed is an amazing chef, some of the best food you will have, also all locally sourced which is sustainable and great.
This place is an absolute gem, I can’t recommend it high enough, the people, the views, the rooms, the food and the little touches are all just way above any standard.
- Vernon (10/5): Superlative - Very warm, friendly welcome. Meals excellent. Comfortable stay.
- Cassandra (10/5): - A comfortable and well-appointed farmhouse in an amazing position.
- David (10/5): - Lovely converted farmhouse and fabulous hosts
- Mark (10/5): Best B&B we've stayed at - Best B&B we've stayed in over the last few years. Both my partner & I have been enjoying the sights of the UK during the pandemic & visiting lots of places & Middle Studfold has been the best/warmest experience. Lovely, comfortable room with all the extra bits & pieces. Flexible on breakfast (5.30am for us taking on the Yorkshire 3 peaks!) and a brilliant dinner on offer too. Tearoom next door was perfect when we came back (soaking!) and incredibly friendly. Easy 10 out of 10 and will definitely revisit. Just a mile up the road is the starting place for the challenge so perfect for walkers.
- Kevin (10/5): - Lovely renovated old house, set in beautiful countryside. Room was very clean, with nice comfy bed. Food was excellent. Very well looked after by Jan and Edd.
- Jon (10/5): Middle Studfold Farm B&B - I enjoyed my stay at Middle Studfold Farm B&B very much. The room was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom very spacious. The room was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were delicious. They also provide a evening meal option as well. This is great for those such as myself who are solo travelling and out walking during the day. It takes away the hassle of finding somewhere to eat at the end of the day. I was lucky as the other guests that had opted for an evening meal were good company. As with the breakfasts the evening meals were good quality. Jan and Edd the owners were very helpful and friendly. There is also a tearoom which is well worth a visit.
- Tabitha (10/5): - Lovely stay with brilliant relaxed hosts, had 3 course dinner (recommend the cheese board!) And all round great visit.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Amazing stay, fantastic food, comfortable and cozy, a home away from home - we will be back!!
- Karen (10/5): Fabulous B&B in a wonderful location - Honestly one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in and we highly recommend it. We booked the Malham Suite which had the most comfortable bed, a spacious and beautifully decorated room and a lovely seating area. The breakfast was excellent and we would recommend you take up the opportunity of an evening meal too - great value and exceptional food. After a circular walk up Pen-y-gent the next day we returned to their excellent tearoom for a rewarding cuppa and a slice of delicious fruit cake/coffee and walnut cake. If we're in the area again this will, without doubt, be our first choice B&B.

Can't express how much we enjoyed to stay in here. Thank you againg for being such a great hosts!! If we coming again toward this area, we will definitely book again a night with you!

Simply outstanding and we will be back, hopefully on a yearly basis.
- Kim (10/5): Top rated property! - Excellent stay........everything in the room/property was of a v nice quality. Great food. Great hosts.
- Bryan (10/5): Outstanding - Outstanding service. The hosts could not do any more for you customer service at its best. I was there doing the 3 peaks challenge so had to be up early the following morning. 5.45am and there is my full English freshly cooked to perfection in what can only be described as Yorkshires finest B&B. Offer of a packed lunch as well then after the hike time to relax in a roll top bath. A clean fresh and homely environment with hosts who must of written the book on hospitality. Outstanding and a must if you want to stop in this area.

- Andrew (10/5): - I highly recommend Middle Studfold Farm B&B. Our stay was faultless.
Upon arrrival we were greeted with tea and cake from the excellent on-site tearoom; and throughout our stay the owners / hosts - Jan & Edd - were friendly, efficient and made every effort with the numerous extra small details that will make for a memorable stay.
The cooked-to-order breakfast was excellent.
In addition to the tearoom:- evening meals, drinks and packed lunches are available on request. We ate dinner at the property on one evening of our stay and were very impressed with the standard of cooking, service and the value offered.
Middle Studfold is well located for the Pennine Way, Three Peaks and for exploring theYorkshire Dales more generally. We had a lovely roundtrip hike up Pen-y-Ghent directly from the B&B.
