• Luca (10/5): Very relaxing and smooth checking! Make plans before you get there - Great position and the check in process was very smooth. We especially loved the pool to relax after our days venturing into Trinidad. Especially suggested if you rented a car They weren't great at suggestions, language wasn't always clear, and we found it hard to understand. They were super friendly, but I don't think they understood what we were looking for. They didn't mention there's a ride-sharing app when we asked for suggestions on how to go around town without driving. P.s. If you're using their taxi list, don't call Sean, he overcharged us for a silly drive. Always negotiate your price first! And bring some USD if you have it, prices are usually lower in USD.

Parking was outside the main gates and only secure between 11pm and 6am when the outer gates locked. The extra large bed was actually made up from 2 single mattresses thus having a hard ridge down the centre.

Sharon was amazing, overall great customer service. Loved the security measures. No issues there. We were in walking distance of a plaza which was convenient. Some of the complimentary tea items were sufficient for one person. E.g. sugar. Consider adding a bottle of water, as some persons are coming straight from the airport. Be a little transparent about breakfast. This will save your guests time and limit any inconvenience.

Location was great only 2 minutes to walk to the ”mall” with groceries, pharmacy, Starbucks, banks, restaurants etc etc. Also close to botanical garden and queen savanna. Facilities are great, microwave, boiler, plate, nice gardens and places to hang out plus the pool was very nice and cool The staff were good but nothing special. They did what they had to and were very polite but i enjoy to stay in places where the staff are more friendly.. really just what i think myself. They were very kind but something didn’t make me feel that last piece

• Catherine (10/5): - Kiskadee Korner is a safe, clean and friendly property in the St Clair neighbourhood of Port of Spain. I felt so reassured by the staff’s friendly approach to ensuring a pleasant stay and of course my safety. I appreciated them being there for me late at night when my flight arrived, and also the WhatsApp number they had should I need anything. I really appreciated their communication prior to my arrival to ensure I had a seamless stay. The dual gate system was also a comforting feature of the property, and I also really enjoyed the pool and the tranquility of the property. The pool was by far one of the cleanest pools I have ever enjoyed in all of my travels, and overall the property is pristine and beautifully appointed. The staff will also recommend a reputable transfer company for you should you need one, and I found their recommendation to be incredibly professional and safe. I overall really enjoyed my stay at Kiskadee Korner and I would absolutely return and of course recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this beautiful and safe part of Port of Spain near shops and restaurants to enjoy.

• GLEN (2/5): - This place is like a concentration camp one does not have the freedom to come an go as you please at night you have to go through 2 gates one that’s open to 11pm after that time someone has to let you in in do understand the concept of safety but I can’t understand why grown persons should not be able to come and go at they own will . Also the gates does not open until 6 am you can not get out before that time , I was told that the gates are set to that time and can not be change if not it will off set the programming that’s set madness what about the needs of the guest and the freedom to leave what if they is an emergency and one has to leave before 6Am The head lady at the office is like a dictator she has to be in control at all times. She wants to do it all herself and talks to persons like they are little children I’m a property manager myself and i understand the importance of team work as a coach I also understand the importance of being a leader and how to step back and let others develop , I will be honed the place is very clean great job. One of the other things that can be improved is condiment, the salt and pepper shakers were empty tea was not replaced in the room a spoon fill of sugar in a little container and lumpy creamer by the way no coffe but creamer I’m lost yes I know you will say it’s a self contained room but it was a weekend of Easter and very little around I back home thank god I’m free.

I spent 4 nights to celebrate my 3rd wedding anniversary and Valentine's Day. The hotel didn't make any effort to make my stay memorable. The stay felt cold and impersonal.

• Filip (10/5): Exceptional - Great place with cozy rooms and a swimming pool! Treat if you don't have a car and for some reason you are just staying in Trinidad without enjoying beaches in Tobago. Very nice staff, everything was clean and tidy, and the ladies were very helpful. Also, the area is very safe which is HUGE considering current situation in Trinidad - surveillance 24/7, area with government buildings, atractions and a few embassies - couldn't be safer, unless renting around president's house. Also, very close (5-10 mins) to food venues, a few markets and a nice alcohol store to buy yourself a bottle for the evening. Top notch place, will recommend for my friends for sure and if I'll ever be back, I'll be coming back there! Room was quite small, but i'm not very fussy and I stayed mostly outside so it was not a problem :)

It didnt appear like that when i viewed the photos of the place before.

The Blue Jean room lack a place to prepare food, a solution would be a cutting board that could fit across the drawer under the microwave when opened, so that there is a surface to work on. The area is quiet, and that's a plus if you don't particularly want a space with young children. The place is well maintained, and the staff are quick in responding to your requests/ inquiries either in person or on whatsapp. They meet you halfway in getting you booked should you have any issues, and that's good customer service. Would definitely recommend it. This location forces you to keep to a return time. On vacation, plans change, and if you're out past 11pm, you have to let them know so someone can open the external gate for you. ( This is not bad as it supports safety) A suggestion could be to provide guest with a fob to open the external gate should they be returning late. Persons can be out trying to enjoy themselves, yet stressing about returning on time to get inside the compound. Otherwise, it's a beautiful place to recuperate.

Security system is like Fort Knox 😂 Just bare in mind if going on an early morning tour you may have to arrange with staff to set the gate to open as otherwise you're locked in between 11pm and 6am.

• gregory (4/5): Basically a room not a hotel - Sign on entrance to property says Boutique Hotel. Neither of those words are correct. Before arriving bombarded with messages and requests have never had anywhere else except Air BnB. Nobody at front desk for checkout or most of time. 'Hotel' was empty. On arriving room safe did not work and they would not fix it or move me to room with working room safe. Response was to have me unpack and setup and they would see the next day about another room. That never came and anyway would have required repacking. At least at a short term rental there is a kitchen or something more than a room.

They should change the strict check in and check out time, make it more flexible and also the deposit system is not fair. After 24 hours that we leave the place, they will initiate the transaction to give our money back for the deposit. Also, please note that this a good location if you have rented a car, if not, I don't know how you can reach this place.
