Guest Reviews
- Catherine (8/5): Great stay - thank you! - Very attentive staff, great central location and comfortable rooms. Would stay again and recommend to a friend. Couldn't see lift access, though I appreciate there might be limitations on the building.
- Ray (9/5): Pleasant stay for one night - but for longer stays they need to fix the water system - Location was good, staff were friendly The noise from other rooms showers - the water system clanks when others are in their bathrooms.
- Isobel (10/5): - Extra large double bed, modern bathroom. Great value for so close to the centre of Liverpool, restaurant next door, yummy Italian bakery and breakfast place just up the street, no more than 15 min walk to Liverpool Lime st Station or to the Docks area. Lovely friendly staff and luggage storage option. Nothing
- Paddy (10/5): - Excellent rooms, very spacious & luxurious I had no issues
- Alan (8/5): -
- Alan (10/5): Amazing - Staff were really friendly room was very clean and bed was so comfy great hotel
- Trevor (9/5): -
- orla (8/5): I did like the property and staff , probably would return - Everything was very nice inside and super central location Right amount and type of towels weren’t in place on arrival and when asked to be sorted , only provided one hand towel
Also, wasn’t keen on having to pay 50.00 incase of any damage which will be refunded though need to check that
- Ian (10/5): - Very friendly as expected in Liverpool. Great location.
Gill on reception was very helpful and stored our case before our check in time .
Would definitely recommend this hotel Couldn't really fault anything
- emily (10/5): great place thats clean and lovely staff - very good location very small sink for such a massive bathroom
- Ffion (10/5): -
- Chanelle (10/5): Fabulous/peaceful the break I needed - Room was absolutely stunning. Bed was the comfiest bed iv ever slept in. I think it’s Jill who I spoke with, she was kind, approachable with a beaming smile and genuinely cared for every guest and couldn’t do enough for you. Everything for me personally was 10/10
- Ewald (9/5): Top - Super Lage, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal Keine Minus- Punkt, nur haben wir den Eingang zuerst nicht gefunden…
- John (8/5): -
- Lyndsey (8/5): Great location, stylish rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff. - Comfortable beds great location and really friendly staff

- Becky (10/5): Great stay. Will be back - Really lovely property and great staff
- Emma (10/5): - The staff, the location and the hotel were absolutely perfect. The Italian restaurant food was wonderful. The staff in both reception/hotel and the restaurant were absolutely brilliant. So friendly and welcoming.
Me and my son both Totally loved it and have already planned our return later in the year!
It was one of the nicest friendliest hotels we've stayed in. Loved it. The only things I can truly feed back on for this visit was that I had to go to reception for extra toilet roll as we were only left with one, and had to ask for some shower gel. I went to the lovely lady at reception, she found soap for us, which was fine for one night, we just assumed there would be some in the bathroom. Not a problem, only had to pop to reception and as I said, we were well.looked after to the best of her ability and nothing was too much trouble.
The plug in airfreshener was empty and there was a bit of a funny smell.in the room seemed like it was from the carpet but not sure,
Again, its not something that would stop us from returning as we absolutely loved it in the hotel!!
- Kelvin (10/5): Really nice and friendly staff made the stay better - It was very clean and the staff made the stay amazing really friendly Only small complaint was the double bed was two singles put together
- vicki (10/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Craig (9/5): Great stay in fairness just the ceiling height and warm room - The hotel was unique and smart for the cost The room wasn’t suitable for anyone over 6ft and because it was in the loft it was extremely hot we did get a fan after calling reception but still just circulated the warm air
- Ronak (10/5): -
- vincent (9/5): - DE dame bij de receptie ;)
- Martina (4/5): No hot water. - The location was very convenient We were very disappointed with the way the hotel dealt with the issue that we had no hot water in the bathroom. We brought this to their attention and said they would get it sorted and if not would move us to another room. It was not fixed and when we asked to be moved they said none available. They promised to get it fixed the next day but once again it wasn't sorted. We had no hot water for our entire stay. On checkout they promised to refund us one night's accommodation. That was almost 2 months ago and despite several emails and promises of refund we still have not received any money back. I strongly recommend people not to stay in this hotel
- Kushtrim (10/5): Would be back - Nice and clean. Quiet and very close to centre All good
- Cooper-Shone (5/5): Great find. Bed was disappointing - Excellent staff, lovely decor of hotel I asked for large double bed but we got two singles pushed together which was really uncomfortable
- Audrey (8/5): - Needs a bit of paint behind table kettle sits on lot of splashes on wall

- Amy (3/5): Not so boutique - Staff were lovely and price was low. Central location. Room was freezing, portable oil heaters only. Hidden step entering the room that was a trip hazard. 2 beds pushed together and very soft mattress. Shower was broken and would not stay on the hook and tray flooded as not on an angle. Sink in the bathroom the size of a washing up bowl and tap also damaged. Furniture was marked and scuffed. I don't think the sky light was double glazed as you could hear the pigeons nesting on it really loudly. The front door latch was broken and it did not feel secure.
- Gemma (4/5): Unfortunately wouldn’t return - The staff were great. Friendly, welcoming & so helpful.
The location was fabulous! Unfortunately the first room (third floor, lots of steps no lift) smelled really badly of blocked drains so we were very kindly moved to another room on the ground floor. The room was covered in cobwebs. Carpet was covered in hair like it hadn’t been hoovered. The bathroom wasn’t particularly clean & the shower set up is not good because the water floods out onto the floor into puddles- making the floor dangerous to walk on & there was no extractor fan. The bedding had stuck hair in it, my partner got 4 bites on his leg. The towels we were given were threadbare. The walls are so thin you can hear every little thing like people’s music on until 2am & people being intimate until early hours 🫣
- Ross (6/5): Looks good. Doesn’t live up to it. - Location. Bed was uncomfortable, plus I booked a double bed and it was just 2 singles pitched together. Same for the duvet cover.
- Craig (4/5): -
- michael (10/5): Amazing stay - Beautiful hotel, fantastic location
- Anita (9/5): - The location/staff and the rooms Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): - How welcoming and warm it was Only negative was I could hear people arriving back from a night out at 5am and they were very loud. But that can’t be helped
- Katherine (10/5): -
- Ryan (10/5): Brilliant stay, would stay here again - Location was excellent The top floor is a lot of stairs haha but we managed!
- Peter (8/5): Great location, nice room - Great location, friendly staff, quiet room, on suite 3rd floor, no lift, no light switch by the bed
- Sharon (10/5): - I loved everything about the lock and key
- NATALIA (8/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): - Was 2 single matresses on the double bed and one of them was uncomfortable 😕
- Bastiaan (10/5): Superb! - Perfecte lokatie en zeer gastvrij ontvangst!
- Chloe (5/5): - The lovely staff on the reception being very helpful The bed was 2 singles together so when we lied together we was falling down the middle. Telly is to far away from the bed
- Peter Shallcross (10/5): A wonderful hotel. - A fabulous little hotel, a great location and an excellent price. The reception team were so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean, with every amenity you would need. There is a restaurant attached, unfortunately we didn't have time to dine there but the smell when passing was delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Everything was perfect.
- Amy (5/5): Good location, not so great room. - The staff at reception were very friendly and the location of the hotel was great, it was nice to have tea making facilities. The room wasn't clean, there was a chocolate wrapper on the windowsill and a dirty tissue on the floor in the bathroom. The window and blind were also filthy. The design of the bathroom was completely impractical so that it flooded when you had a shower. Repairs to the ceiling and wall had been done in a rather makeshift manner. The toilet seat was loose and wobbly. The washbasin was so small you were unable to wash your hands without wetting the floor. When we tried to fill up the kettle under the tap this was nie on impossible. The temperature in the room was too warm for us but we couldn't adjust this.
- Breedge (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and something was left behind Luke was so good to contact us to let us know
- Caitlyn (7/5): Comfortable stay with TLC required - Spacious room and comfortable bed, great TV options and good location Shower head was broken as it shot water at the ceiling, wooden panelling on the walls were broken, insufficient tea and coffee sachets, small sink
- Anthony (9/5): Good hotel in a great location - Good hotel in a great location
Staff are excellent 👌
- Bryan (7/5): - Location was good Looked tired and dirty and no cold water
- Danielle (10/5): -
- Adele (10/5): -
- Tomos (8/5): Great, would stay again - Classy, clean and cheap Windows could open more
- Gerard (9/5): -
- giulia (10/5): Perfetta - La posizione ottima per girare la città, vicina alla stazione ma in un posto tranquillo. La sera pub e locali a 4 passi
- Cecilia (5/5): Great staff, but run down - Staff were great but the place is run down and not very clean. The room was dusty and run down.
- Sharon (8/5): - I loved the property cause it was so close to the shops and restaurants
- Antonio (3/5): Not worth the money (in my opinion) - The location was unbelievable for what we needed. We were attending the M&S arena for a gig and it was within walking distance. Superb. The staff on entry and exit were lovely. Our stay was in December so cost £159 (understand, event round the corner and it was the weekend before Christmas but there was a host of issues with the room. The building is old and lovely so naturally you expect some characters to follow, high ceilings etc all lovely. However... A step into the bathroom without any warning so you hit your toe. The hooks for towels were hanging off the wall. The shower head wasn't on properly so the water leaked out from the pipes. The water was dripping from the ceiling. The shower handle was stolen so my partner cut her finger on it. It's not worth the £160 which I paid. Would I stay there again? No.
- John (8/5): Ideal base for a mini break in Liverpool. - This was a lovely little hotel, very stylish. There was nothing to dislike.
- Mark (3/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - Staff very friendly. Room immaculate
- Hall (7/5): Clean but misleading - Well furnished, clean and the staff were really nice.
The room was big and spacious. I didn’t have toliet roll so I had to ask for it. There was a lot of construction happening outside so it was noisy. The signs bed was just two singles pushed together so myself and my partner kept falling down the middle.
- ANDREW (7/5): Great location and friendly staff. - Location. Good value as Sunday night rate was low. Value at higher room rates may not be as good. 3 Portable radiators as main rad didn’t work. 3rd floor, no lift. Decoration a bit tired.
- Paul (9/5): Great location and value for money. - Great location, very comfortable bed, warm large room. Sink was leaking but didn't detract from the room.
- Walley (9/5): - Value for money
Comfortable beds/room
Location
Staff Needs shower curtain to avoid flooding
A shelf in bathroom for toiletries
Loose toilet seat
Rooms very hot
- Georgia (10/5): Great location, amazingly comfortable bed and feels like a home from home! - Amazingly comfy bed with plenty of space around and wet room bathroom, really happy with the location being across the road from Liverpool one, staff were very friendly and knowledgable about dinner and breakfast places near by and luggage storage was available as we arrived and before we left with our bags being in our room ready when we checked in. Would highly recommend! The decor is amazing and very comforting and homely! We were on the front of the building so noise could be heard from the road as people were going home in the early hours but not much road noise and the bed was that comfy we fell asleep right after waking up from any noise
- Laura (7/5): Great location but not boutique. - The property is in a great location for all attractions, including train station, restaurants & pubs. We had a big issue with our room & the manager was helpful in trying to resolve the problem, keeping calm & friendly the whole time & eventually we got moved rooms & monies refunded. We had an issue with no hot water which unfortunately wasn’t corrected until after midday the following day & resulted in us having to also move room. We found the 1st room very cold also as an old building, a heater was supplied but it didn’t do much sadly.
- AYCA (7/5): -
- Alison (9/5): Great location for shopping and going out - Very good location, nice spacious room and bed very comfortable Sink in the bathroom was tiny despite the bathroom being big
- Victoria (8/5): Really nice, would definitely go again . Excellent value too - The style and decor and location was excellent No lift, quite a few stairs with my bags
- Denise (4/5): Poor accommodation in good location - Location No hot water for a shower or a wash
No handle on the sink tap
Grubby tops on bedside cabinet and coffee table, desperately need replacing
- Stephen (10/5): Just so nice, really enjoy my stay and plan to go back sometime March 2026. - The inside was lovely, nice and modern and very comfortable. Clean, tidy, great bed, pillows & power shower.
- Li (10/5): -
- Orla (8/5): -
- Onder (9/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): Location and room ideal for our trip, staff friendly. Would use again - Location and room
Friendly staff
- Daniel (1/5): Decent location, but terrible customer service - Not a bad property, great location. The toilet seat broke, and got charged £50 for a replacement. Wouldn’t mind but I’m only 12 stone, so getting scammed out £50 is shady.
Immer wieder gerne
- Samantha (9/5): -
- Emma (5/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Staff were lovely. Bed was super comfy. The bathroom needed touching up.
- Mark (6/5): Good location but room felt poorly maintained. - Friendly staff and location Partially blocked slow draining shower. Sink tap mended with a bolt. Pigeons making noise outside bedroom window. Felt poorly maintained.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Selah (6/5): It was okay, the staff made up for it. - Loved the location, very central and east to walk everywhere. Did not try the breakfast or the restaurant attached. Staff was super friendly. Bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. We were on the top floor and found the room to be very warm. The room itself didn’t seem like it had been cleaned super well, the flooring in the bathroom was falling apart and so was the couch. Tv only worked half the time.
- Rebecca (5/5): Average - The location The bed was two single pushed together which made it very uncomfortable. The cleaners just left towels, they do not make the bed or empty the bins
- Anderson (7/5): - Very modern and close to city centre The room was freezing!
- Scarlett (10/5): -
- Adam (10/5): - Amazing room, decor was incredible
- Elizabeth (7/5): - Ground floor room was a bit dingy as no window
- Jeni (9/5): Bargain room in a fabulous location - Location, friendly staff Felt the room was a little tired - touch ups needed
- danielle (6/5): -
- Mark (9/5): - Friendly helpful staff,room comfortable.
- julie (10/5): Excellent - Excellent location N/a
- Sarah (10/5): - Lovely place Nothing
- Wallworth (10/5): -
- Tamara (1/5): Not in any way pleasant - The only positive thing i can think of is the proximity of the city centre We stayed in this hotel in the weekend of 21 of November. As we checked in, we got the message that there was no hot water but it would be fixed right away. After returning that same evening, we got the message that it would not be fixed for our entire stay, which meant no shower for 3 consecutive days. As this can happen, it is all about how the hotel responds to their guests to ease the inconvenience. We were offered a complimentary breakfast, which in my opinion would not make up for the fact we paid almost EUR 450 for 2 nights without being able to shower. We discussed and i got a verbal and written confirmation we would be refunded 50% of our paid amount. After several mails we are not getting any response from the hotel; also booking.com is saying work it out with hotel, not their problem, i guess. I compiled a whole dossier and ordered the credit card company to do a charge back. If this for some reason does not work out, this will be handed over to legal aid as this is now matter of principle. Beside this issue, the hotel itself is beneath standard. Room felt and smelled moldy, furniture is chipped, cleaning is not done properly, windows are so dirty you cannot see anything outside, luxaflex are missing parts, stained carpet, mold in the shower. The room was cold and the electrical heating was not enough for the entire room; the hotel could not provide blankets so we got an extra linnen sheet (?). Anyways big disappointment all the way. Meg from reception was lovely, but what does this mean when you do not act on promises.........
