Guest Reviews
- Nejc (10/5): Perfect stay on Cebu island - Everything, from sunset, to people, staff, beach, location, vibe. But the most amazing was the food!
I will return back every time I am on Cebu!
- Mary (9/5): -
- David (7/5): - The staff and food was absolutely fantastic. They have a huge red ant problem and no staff around after 8-9pm for there's a problem.
- Alan (10/5): Excellent food and hospitality.5* - Excellent location for visiting local waterfalls.
Staff very attractive
Room, lovely and clean
View to die for, especially at sunset
Food - Vegetarian options always available, with many choices. Best Talong, (eggplant) in all of the Philippines. 5* rating
Thank you. Back again soon. Nothing.
- Danielle (10/5): Highly recommend, wonderful location, incredible staff. - We loved the location and the layout of the property. It was so worth staying closer to oslob for a shorter commute. Full breakfast lunch and dinner menu with reasonable prices kept us there most days with a nice variety of vegetarian/vegan meals!! The staff were so helpful and welcoming, getting us involved in local activities, basketball with the locals, lent us their fishing rod and snorkeling gear, organised a masseuse to come to our room and a private driver for tours. Along with arriving and departing assistance with the local coaches to and from thw city. Highly recommend! The only thing we struggled with, on the last night we must have had a big blizzard or something in our walls causing a bit of noisy drama.
- Kristin (9/5): -
Skootterin saa suoraan paikasta vuokrattua.
- Michael (8/5): -
- John Marquinez (10/5): Muy buen lugar!

- Annette (10/5): Amazing rooms/ food/ hosts 10 out of 10 - We loved everything about our stay here, we stayed for 8 nights and wished we had time to do more (so many guests extended while we were there) the room was clean and comfortable for our family of 4, kids loved the mezzanine which was a nice surprise. We were right on the beach which was incredible we saw turtles (common) and even a whale shark out the front (rare apparently!) along with the little local fishing boats. Room was cool with the aircon. The food was incredible omelettes and pancakes were our favourite breakfast and cold beers and chicken curry or fried chicken for dinner YUM!!
So affordable and Ms Lisa and her crew were great hosts with all the local info. We can’t wait to plan a trip back! Hard to pick on anything, only thing that surprised us (not really bad though) was it is salt water showers (warm) in the rooms
- Daniel (8/5): Fabulous - Great place, very relaxing spot. Easy to reach all main tourist spots from there.
- Anthony (10/5): Cheap and amazing - Cool spot right on the water with a restaurant and many vegan options. Cheap too It was all good and great value for the money.
- Tyson (10/5): -

- McHugh (10/5): - It was just so nice and it felt so comfortable while I stayed there i slept so good The pool was so small
- Ruth (1/5): Unhelpful, not good - Nothing Everything. The staff we're unhelpful and rude. No hot water for shower. There was no water either to use in the when we got up. They've been told that we need to get ready at 5am because we're going somewhere
- david (10/5): - We had a great stay. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. The restaurant was good. The staff were very friendly and responsive. Great place to experience Cebu's waterfalls. Don't miss the local falls, stunning! Would recommend
- Lorenz (7/5): Einfach und preiswert - Direkt am Meer. Nette Eigentümer. Raum wie angegeben. Preis- Leistung super.
- Jinisha (8/5): Pleasant stay - Location and view from room Bathroom facilities - salty water and ver low water pressure
Klimatizace by potřebovala vyčistit, smrdí plísní. Záchod moc neodtéká, voda teče málo.
- Carl (5/5): - It was on the ocean front. Nice ocean's sounds at night 🌙. Television did not work the entire time there. Management was made aware of the problem but resolution. Toilet does not flush without help.
- Damian (7/5): Views Food and Royal… - If you like basic with amazing views watching the sunset and the fishermen this is the spot and was perfect for me on my travels. Lisa the host was great and the food she made was home cooked and very Delicious. At the end of the stay the tricycle rider tried to scam me charging me 1200php to my next destination only ten minutes down hill… I’m from london so this didn’t work and I paid half the price even though that was still to much but hey what’s £7.50
Cab fair right!! What’s disappointing is this was arranged by two of the boys that work there! Should have got the bus

- Thomas (9/5): A Super Nice Place to Stay by the Ocean - All in all, I was really happy with my stay at BBH. In fact, if I could have, I would have been happy to have stayed longer. It was cool to have my own little cabana and I found the bed to be really comfortable, it was totally quiet at night and everything worked including the air con. There was a great ocean view from the dining area and the selection of food was quite good. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was also close enough to the waterfalls that I wanted to visit. The small nearby town, which I didn't end up visiting, was only 2 kms away, but since BBH had a decent menu I didn't need to go anywhere else for food. I'd love it if hamburgers could be added to the menu :-). These are only small things, but I'd just like to make one main suggestion and that would be to play music that's more soothing instead of stuff like Metallica and Tool. I actually like some hard rock (and I'm 63 yrs old), but I would have preferred to hear some nice mellow music that matched the ambience of the calming ocean. Just a thought. If it was my place, I'd ask the customers what kind of music they wanted to hear. Also, I'm never a fan of the types of open showers that make the entire bathroom floor wet, but I realize that it's the norm here and so not a big deal., but an enclosed shower is always a bonus. If it weren't for these small things I would have given this place a 10 and if I'm in the area in the future, I'd be happy to stay there again.
- jimboy (10/5): Very good. my daughter enjoyed so much. - The room and view. The Pool is not functional.
- Matt (10/5): Sunset, food, drinks, good time with friends -
- Bartlomiej Skoczek (9/5): - Great localisation, perfect food and very helpful staff
- LeMatty (10/5): -

- Claudia (10/5): Perfect! Peaceful and beautiful - Bamboo beach house was absolutely lovely! Most beautiful private rooms, with the pool easy to access as well as an amazing restaurant and the most beautiful view over the ocean! And the staff are so welcoming and helpful! Very peaceful, perfect place to stay ❤️ bus stop right outside to go up and down the coast to various different locations, very convenient !
- Karla (10/5): It was relaxing. - I really enjoyed how peaceful and quiet it is here — perfect for relaxing and unwinding away from the busy city. You can easily rent a motorcycle (just make sure to bring your passport) to explore nearby spots at an affordable price. I absolutely loved their food, especially the chicken curry — I could eat that every day and never get tired of it! They offer American, Continental, and Filipino breakfast options, but if you want curry in the morning, you can totally order that too, no problem.
The view isn’t exactly five-star since there are some houses nearby, but you get an entire mountain on the other side of the road, and the sunset is breathtaking. The sunrise is amazing too — it reflects beautifully on the clear sea waters each morning! The only thing I didn’t like was that the sea floor in front of the resort could use a bit more cleaning. It’s such a shame to spot beautiful fish and then notice an old pair of denim shorts, beer or wine bottles, or random snack wrappers settled on the seafloor. It’s not a huge issue, but clearing this up would definitely make the view even better.
That said, this small drawback won’t stop me from coming back — I’ll still be visiting again to relax and unwind after a stressful month at work. Also, the rooms have improved a lot — kudos to the team!
- Suzette (5/5): Passable -
- De (7/5): Kaayo. - I loved the people the place and had a great time with my future wife
- Jamie (10/5): Thank you to all the staff thank you for all the recommendations. I hope everything goes well in the future. - The view was absolutely amazing. The pool was very refreshing. The restaurant on site was lovely also. There wasn’t anything bad about the property at all, although there could’ve been a better amount of options for different places to eat around the location. But that’s not their fault and you could hire a scooter from the accommodation if you wanted to travel anywhere.
- Ramon (8/5): Lisa, Geraldine, Vincent were incredible! Love the place. - Amazing staff. The view was incredible!
- Samantha (10/5): Hidden Gem - We were looking for a relaxing place to have a vacation that was inexpensive and far away from the crowds. We couldn't be happier with our choice. It's a little hard to get to and the water pressure is a bit low, but the atmosphere is impeccable, the staff is incredible, the food is delicious, and the views are gorgeous, so it's all worth it. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beach getaway off the beaten track.
- Lub (9/5): Excellent - Amazing seaview from your bed ans from restaurant. Good food for reasonable price. Kind staff, access to beach, rental of scooters and kayaks. It also is accessible by bus and its close to many atrracrions like watwefalls and springs.
Also private parking is a plus Neighbouring restaurant loving karaoke :-)
- Goh (9/5): TLDR: Good service, near most of the falls (like Kawasan, Kabutagan, Aguinid, Imbakan) - Unfortunately, I did not read the news and came in during the Phillipines general election. After reaching Cebu South Bus Terminal - CSBT- (as instructed by the owner in the booking.com chat), I encountered a massive queue which got cut off midway even before I bought the tickets. As it takes about 4 hrs to reach the accomodation by bus, I was in contact with the host. Note: She explained to me patiently on how to go CSBT. Given the fact that I might reach quite late, she also provided me her sister, Lisa (the staff at the accoms) number. Lisa was extremely kind and patient to me as well. She provided me a private driver as it was almost 5pm at CSBT. A second unfortunate thing happened to me, the private driver was also stuck in traffic as everyone in the city was going back to the province to vote. As such, I had to wait another 2 hours but Lisa was in constant communication with me with regular updates on the private driver's whereabout. After taking a total of 9 hours to arrive the accomodation at 10pm, Lisa cooked for me a curry chicken for me. Such service is remarkable by both sisters. Lisa also provided me a motorbike driver to visit Osmena peak, kawasan canoyneering and maninit hot spring. As I only stayed one day, she offered me to extend my stay for a few hours (with a small fee) as it could be rush. Lisa also provided me with a piece of paper on the attractions nearby. Nothing. Maybe could have soap. But its perfect...
- Grace (10/5): Just a very relaxing stay - Best wifi in the Philippines, Lisa was very hospitable and attended us quickly if we needed anything.
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional - We were riding scooters around Cebu island until we felt tired and booked this place just 10 minutes in advance. We were completely amazed by how beautiful it turned out to be... Breathtaking ocean views and an extremely comfortable room. Highly recommended to everyone!
- Cristina (7/5): Not bad for the price. - We stayed for one night and it was okay—just what you'd expect from a semi-hut by the beach. The atmosphere was laid-back, and the location offered a nice seaside feel. They had good signal, which was a plus, and they also serve food, which adds to the convenience. A decent spot for a quick beachside stay. We appreciated the stay overall, but I do want to be honest about the parking situation. Before our arrival, I specifically confirmed that we had a car, and was reassured that parking would be available. However, when we got there, the designated parking area could only fit two cars and was already full. We ended up having to park elsewhere and pay for public parking, which was unexpected and a bit inconvenient. It would be helpful if the listing clarified this in advance or if alternative parking arrangements were suggested.
There was also a water outage during our visit—we had to use a bucket with brackish water. If you're particular about bathrooms, this might not be ideal.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Antoine (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing stay especially because of Lourdes who was so kind giving us tour advice and Al driver that i recommand.
Just GO there, amazing food too!
- Michal (10/5): Honeymoon 2025 - The best hotel kitchen in the Phillipines.
- Patricia (7/5): Good -
- Abgrejd (10/5): Exceptional - This place is absolutely exceptional! Beautifully maintained, clean, and full of charm—perfect for relaxation and rest. The staff is incredibly friendly, always helpful, and smiling, making the stay even more enjoyable. The accommodation prices are very affordable, and the restaurant offers delicious food at reasonable prices. Plus, the stunning views and direct access to the beach and ocean make it a true paradise! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and peace in a beautiful setting.
- Renata (8/5): Very good -
- Caralde (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cl (10/5): Perfect vacation stay or short weekend visit - The staff are very accommodating. The room is very clean with breathtaking view. I recommend this resort for family and friends and there is so many activities. They will provide you a itinerary list of the activities you can do there. Once again kudos to the staff and the manager of the resort and we will book again here soon.
- Ashley (8/5): Very good - Place was ok Water is not enough...
- Karla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeffrey (9/5): Elisa and the team take care of you! We ha a great time relaxing and snorkeling - Snorkeling in front of the location!
- Lenka (8/5): Very good - Rustic little comfortable cottages with a seaview. Great hot shower with good pressure - that’s hard to come by. Nice staff Lisa. Good well priced food. Comfortable bed with fresh linen, swimming pool.
- Alexey (10/5): Must stay here if you are moving around cebu - Amazing location, very peaceful and quiet. The room itself was super cozy with an awesome view. Best place I have ever stayed for 25$. They have a great little restaurant also, and a pool and pool table. WiFi was the best I have had in Asia. Shower was a bit hard to figure out, but that’s about it.
- Craig (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, Clean and good value for budget accommodation. And there is a pool! Little bit out of town.
- Roderick (8/5): Very good -
- Marcin (10/5): Ok - Fine
- Cl (10/5): Romantic get away - The sunset is amazing. Good food and friendly service.
- Alexandru (7/5): Good -

- David (8/5): Very good - Basic accommodation right on the beach.
Nice food reasonably priced
- Human (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Nice Sea View and atmosphere - Close to Kawasan Falls, much closer than from Moalboal. We booked canyoneering through them and it was a blast and cheaper than what we found online.
- Ingrida (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (5/5): Passable -
- Palma (7/5): Cute, very basic accommodations that is not really near anything. Not great for families but ok if you’re looking for pe - This is a small, cute place with bungalow-type accommodations located right on the water. Each room has its own bathroom and shower and air conditioning unit. There is a nice common area where meals are served that overlooks the water and has a nice ambiance. The owners/workers were very nice and accommodating to our very large party, even allowing us to bring on-site our own food and cooking it for us sometimes. We ordered food for a couple meals. Dinners were quite good, especially the tinola and pancit, but warning - they don’t use traditional longuanisa for breakfast - rather, they are like longuinisa-flavored hotdogs, which was a disappointment. The young staff-member, can’t remember her name, was very sweet and worked really hard, taking orders, cooking, getting drinks, etc. I did like waking up/going to bed to the view of the water, which made a lot of the inconveniences worth it. Bathroom/shower facilities really varied from room to room. While each had some kind of water-heating device, we found that some worked and some didn’t and water pressure went from bad to worse depending on time of day. Our particular room had a shower head that didn’t stay on its holder so it was essentially handheld. There was really nothing to do in the area or even on the resort - even the nearest town didn’t have much, which was not great when having teenagers in tow. There were 2 kayaks for rent for 200 pesos/hr, there was a pool table that has seen better days that got a lot of use and mopeds/motorcycles for rent. Beach was really rocky and not swimmable and surrounding area wasn’t really amenable to swimming anyway. There was a small, above-ground pool the kids used twice. I asked about the 2nd pool featured in the website pictures and was told it was broken. I wouldn’t take kids here honestly. I would say if you wanted to go somewhere very quiet to watch the ocean and read a book, this place would serve your purpose. It was still quite a drive to Oslob and Moalboal so wasn’t as convenient as I thought it would have been to these places for our activities.
- Turcotte (7/5): Good -
- Gary (9/5): Pleasant - A cool little spot right on the ocean all at an economical price. A simple stay and a most pleasant host. Thank you Lisa!
- Bronte (9/5): Superb - Restaurant on site was very handy and food was tasty. Staff were very helpful - gave us a list of things to do in the area. Were able to rent a motorbike from them.
- Therese (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bex (8/5): Very good - the ac in the room was great and it was nice to have a little porch right on the coast, the woman running it was nice there is nothing around there, the food i had was so salty I couldn't finish it, it's better to save the money and go straight to moalboal imo
- Lyuben (8/5): Very good -
- Imogen (6/5): It was okay, beautiful location - The location of the property was lovely, with ocean views and could watch the sunset The staff were not very helpful, felt like most of the time they didn’t want to be there and seemed like when you needed a staff member you had to wait for a while to see one around.
The bathroom was clean however the shower smelt funny when turned on, the table on the porch was broken so couldn’t really be used at all.
Breakfast was okay but the dinner we had was barely edible.
We payed £15 a night and I feel like it was worth a lot less.
- Babineau (10/5): Enjoyed our stay - The staff the place the ambiance, location and everything was just so beautiful. This peaceful getaway features friendly and accommodating staff, ensuring a relaxing stay. The soothing sounds of the wind and waves create a serene atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!
- Dorlita (10/5): Satisfied - Clean
- Jan (10/5): We had to extend our stay! - This is an absolutely fantastic place with a wonderful view. It is simple but it has everything you need as a traveller. The staff was lovely and always helpful, the meals delicious, also good choice of breakfast for a reasonable price of 165 pesos. Only as a general question (not as an expression of not liking): Why don't they offer products from the local bakeries for the breakfast on the Philippines? They are so delicious! :) but the breakfast was great also in its way.
- Aimable (9/5): Excellent location in between best attractions in Cebu!! - Absolutely stunning views of the ocean!!
The location is perfect only 30 mins to the legendary Kawasan falls! Then a little over 45mjns to Oslob! To swim with the giants Whale sharks!!! Btw you can also catch a bus for like $5 Mostly okay! Bathroom was philipino style but okay!!
- Ursula (10/5): relaxing in front of the ocean - - location, cleanliness, friendly staff, activities offered, fast wifi
- Fritz (10/5): Will come back, excellent value and best view right on the ocean!!! - Great place!!! awesome view and beach! love the host Lisa, she is very helpful. food as affordable and yummy. thank you thank you! we'll come back again soon!
