• Pauline (1/5): A prison cell or a hotel room? - Be aware at this hotel. I booked a room on a Saturday night here for my husband. He arrived just before 6pm only to be told by the owner he was going to lock him in the hotel from 6pm until 7 am the next day. He could not leave was given no key and more importantly had there have been an accident no emergency service could have reached him. This hotel therefore has more in common hith a prison cell than hotel.

• Alexander (9/5): Superb - A superb stopover on way to airport. All amenities nearby The hotel has a decent bar with low prices and the bacon sandwich was to die for. I would recommend for an overnight stop. The decor is a little aged and the water pressure varies

• Kathryn (6/5): Being realistic about what we paid it was a fair place to stay. - The people were friendly, think it's a family business and it had a family feel. For the price it was a good place to stay and there was parking. We could walk into the town where there are plenty of restaurants, Casabermeja is a nice Spanish town. It's central for travelling on the motorways. No tea making facilities in the room was disappointing, by the motorway is noisy and some of the working guests get up early to work and the sound travelled. Had to wait a while for hot water.

• Shavaiz (7/5): Good - Good location The rooms are not very well insulated. you can hear water running through pipes sometimes it was very noisy. woke me up almost every night. people were friendly.
• C (8/5): Great place to say en route from Malaga - The Hotel Casabermeja is an excellent place to overnight en route from or to Malaga. It is a good example of a traditional Spanish travellers' stopping place. We arrived at 22.55 and, even though the kitchens close at 23.00, they stayed on and gave us an excellent supper. The bar itself is open 24 hours with sandwiches and the like, and it serves a good Spanish breakfast. There is ample parking. Our room had a balcony with pleasant country views. Being a traditional hotel, the building is quite old, but being 'a good example' it has been well renovated and offers all modern comforts. But as the building itself is an old design, space in the rooms has been squeezed by fitting an en suite bathroom. And, like many traditional hotels, the shower/bath is designed to fit the space available, and there are bolsters for pillows which is not to everyone's taste. Similarly, whilst shower gel is provided take your own soap if you want it. Staff were very friendly and though not totally on top of things (they weren't expecting us and the key to the first room they offered didn't fit) they acted promptly to get things done. The only real bad point was the emergency light in the bedroom. It was not an unobtrusive blinking LED in a corner of the ceiling. It was two small bulbs permanently on fixed to the wall immediately in front of the bed! Take eye shades!
