Guest Reviews
- Paul (6/5): - Large grocery store within 5 minute walk.
- Thien (10/5): - Great spot in Kyoto, all the main bus stops are right outside the property, it is walkable distance to the main shopping/dining area. 15 minute walk from Kamo river and 7-11 right under the property for any late night needs you might have.
The rooms were extremely clean, the shower was amazing, the street view from our room was perfect and they were able to accommodate early check-in by an hour since a room was available. Only positive things to say about this hotel.
- Tania (10/5): - Very clean and attentive staff
- Johana (8/5): - Laundry facilities were nice as they were in the same floor I was staying in. Seven-eleven was right downstairs which was convenient.
- Grant (8/5): - x
- maciej (6/5): - Today free coffee and water should be standard.
- Sanjay (6/5): - Charged extra taxes at the time of check in even paid full payment through expedia. Not sure why?

Didn't like the fact that even if the reception is staffed, you have to use machines for check in and check out.
- Mark (10/5): - Awesome hotel and GREAT value. Was super clean, very close to bus and train and several dining options which were excellent. Would stay again for sure.

- Andre (8/5): - Staff and cleanliness were great. Good location in Kyoto near lots of transportation options.
Only complaint is that the hotel is on a busy intersection making it fairly noisy with street traffic in the evenings.
- Jade (10/5): - This was a great property. It was convenient to almost everytging we were there to see. Transportation was close and accessible. The staff was very helpful and checkin and out was extremeyly convenient. The room was a bit small but not an issue. Amazing shower set up in the roo..

Thank you all
- Alice (10/5): - A bit far walk (20mins) from the main shijo area, however close to a train station (6mins walk).
Could hear trains passing frequently until midnight which was quite annoying, but it could be better if your room faces the other direction.
- Scott (10/5): - It was good
- KELLY (10/5): - This centrally located hotel was in a safe and convenient area. Staff were always willing to help and had great amenities such as water filling station, laundry, coffee and toiletries. This was a great stay, excellent value and I would definitely return!
- Andrew (10/5): - I’ve been to OneFive three times and always enjoyed my stay.
- Debra (8/5): - The room was generously sized and clean.
- Bryce (8/5): - Good location, but super small room's.... even by Japans standard. Our family of 4 was put into a room with two small twin beds, set as a quad occupancy by the property.... definately a tight squeeze.
- Adam (10/5): - Excellent
- Renaud (10/5): - Really well situated, chic rooms and lobby, everything clean and spotless. Our best hotel this trip
- Gabriel (10/5): - Perfect for business. Almost all rooms come with a nice giant table! Wifi is a little mehh or spoty but if you are a foreigner you will most likely have your own hotspot so use it!
This location is about a 20-25 min walk to karasuma oike st. And sanjo keihan lines .
Perfect to relax in and walls are pretty thick. You are also able to hook you laptop up to the tv and watch your movies or anime!
- Chad (10/5): - We were really impressed with the modern style and the room. The shower was a highlight for everyone in the family. Great central location too.
- Samantha (10/5): - Walkable distance to the shopping district. Good.
- Lee (10/5): - The rooms were comfortable and of decent size. The shower was really great. At a great location. Overall excellent value.
- Arlene (10/5): - Perfect stay. Close to subway, food city bus and stores. Would stay again!
- Brent (8/5): - Nice room for our stay.
20 min walk into the town area. Easy links to buses to get anywhere.
Happily stay again
- Brian (10/5): - near a subway station made it convenient to travel. Nice concierge and helpful. hotel room clean. i wish they had more than 2 pairs of laundry and dryer machines for all the guests to use, but otherwise fine.
- Mark (8/5): - Excellent for a short stay. rooms a little bit cramped with no storage.
Street traffic noise loud.
Excellent shower toilet facilities.
10 to 15 minute walk to main shopping district and close to All subway stations
- Aaron (10/5): - Staff was very helpful & friendly. Very clean & roomy. Only wish they offered breakfast
- Seifudein (10/5): - Excellent.
- Stephen (10/5): - clean and facilities new
- Jeffrey (6/5): - Staff came for room cleaning while I was still in the room. I asked them to come back in 20 minutes, but they seemed to understand neither English or Japanese, and just gave up and failed to provide any service whatsoever.
- Melanie (8/5): - Relatively good location for the price. Room was small, as expected but we made it work for our family of four. The only thing I didn’t like what the community area is not open before 11am so we had to eat our breakfast in the room and couldn’t access cold water machine.
- Pedram (10/5): - Great location, close to metro and bus station.
Great hotel, very helpfull staff and clean.
There is a convinience shop under the hotel which is great.
Definitly a great place to stay if youre visiting Kyoto.
- JINGJING (10/5): - The room is quite big compared to other hotels in Japan. Transportation is convenient.
- Chirsty (10/5): - Quite close to what seems to be a major shopping street (lots of brand name shops and Pokemon Centre, Nintendo store and a Disney store) all within about a 20min walk from the hotel. Close to a train station too.
- Henry (10/5): - Convenient, cheap, nice rooms.
- Tu (6/5): - Good location to go around the city sites. Restaurants close by are very good. Room is clean. Bed was hard and was only given 1 pillow so hard to fall asleep. The hallways need to be updated. They don’t clean the room daily just come in to give new towels and empty trash.
- Sergio (10/5): Great hotel with great location in kyoto - Great hotel with really nice facilities. Spacious rooms and top notch customer service at the reception
- Jian (10/5): - Nice little hotel, very good location
- Kailesh (10/5): - Great property.
- James (8/5): - It was very nice and quiet, staff came in when we left exploring and cleaned our room, bring fresh towels and necessities for our room. I would recommend staying here!
- Adil (6/5): - Average
- William (10/5): - Very nice hotel for the price !
- Sanjeev Rao (10/5): - Loved the stay! Everything is simply the great
- Julia (10/5): - This is a well run contemporary hotel and we enjoyed every aspect of it. Everything needed was elegantly and simply provided, nothing fussy, attentive staff, great position.
- Craig (10/5): - Good value
- Michael (10/5): - Great time, amazing location. Would come back
- Krista (6/5): - This hotel was decent but very bare bones. The room and bathroom are tiny. The beds are very hard and they give you one pillow. They don’t clean your room other than to empty the garbage and give new towels (only one per person). The hall and elevator area need a good vacuum. It was okay but probably wouldn’t stay here again.
- vijesh (6/5): Disappointed - Photographs viewed while booking the hotel were deceiving. The room had no closet or drawers. Last five nights rooms were half price than what i paid. Very noisy room facing an intersection. I would not stay there again. Staff was excellent
- TEOH (8/5): Perfect location Clean n Nice hotel - Stay for 3 nights. New and clean hotel. Great location with 7 Eleven, Family Mart, Daiso and many restaurant around. Subway station just 10 minutes walk. And bus station is just outside of hotel. Not far away from Kyoto station.
- Peter (10/5): - Overall we had a great stay at the OneFive, conveniently located and reasonable cost.
- Charlotte (10/5): Amazing stay! - Extremely good value for money. Lovely rooms, great amenities, wonderful staff. Overall a great hotel and stay. Convenience store attached to the hotel. Would definitely recommend and return!
- Franco (10/5): - Great location!. Great staff and service! We loved our room !
- Yvonne (8/5): - Location is good, 3 mins walk to train station and bus is accessible to main tourist area. The shower is strong with massage points. Size of room is ok compared to Japanese standard room. We were eligible for one time service over 6 nights stay, service is fine but not detailed. We lost our laundry bag due to staff picked up with dirty towel. But staff did not speak English, unable to get it back. Bed and pillow are hard not comfortable. Short stay is ok, May not choose for long stay. Currently the restaurant is not closed too.
- toon how (8/5): - a bit not so convenient to take the subway to kyoto station
one cashier staff at 7-eleven next door very impatient and rude. surprised that this happen in japan
- Karla (8/5): - The room was a little small but the hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a washer/dryer on site that includes detergent in the price. Easy access to public transportation and a 7 eleven just outside was very convenient.
- ASYA J S (8/5): - All round good
- Diogenes (2/5): - Unhidden fee for hotel’s keys. Terrible experience at hotel.
- Julie (10/5): - Comfortable beds, multijet shower, next to bus stop for many attractions. 30min walk to Nishiki market/pontocho. We enjoyed our stay.
- Franco (10/5): - Great location and friendly staff!
- Kassandra (10/5): - The staff was amazing and accommodating, you can leave your bags after checkout, the rooms were very clean. Definitely recommend, will be staying her next time.
- Emilio (8/5): - Great budget hotel
- Antonio (4/5): Not a good choice gor Kyoto - The hotel doesn’t provide you housekeeping which is very inconvenient if you are staying more than 2 days as you will need to dedicate some time to clean your room.
They only provide you with clean towels that by the way are small and not of good quality.
Don’t loose your key. To replace it you will have to pay USD 20.
Check out is at 10 am. Really???
- Samantha (10/5): - This stay was a great value. It was very comfortable and clean.
- Charles (10/5): - Nice location. Easy access to everything by city bus. Ten minute walk to bike rental shop. Hotel staff helped me make restaurant reservations by phone. Generous with towels. 7-Eleven next door with an ATM. First time to Kyoto by train? Skip taxi, use bus 9 or 28, hotel at Shiju & Hirokawa.
- Cheong (10/5): - Super affordable hotel in Kyoto, exceeds all expectation we had for the price.
- Mark (8/5): - Nice and clean by American standards. Great location and staff was friendly.
- Jayson (10/5): - This was my first time visiting Japan and I'm glad I chose this hotel. The staff was both polite, helpful and English friendly which was a huge plus. Room was great, bed was firm, breakfast selection was wonderful. I would definitely choose to stay here again during future visits.
- Karla (8/5): - 7-11 available just outside, close to buses and trains . Many restaurants nearby. Twin room on the small side but clean with air conditioning and a laundry room on second floor. There is also a room on second floor where you can meet with others, microwave, hot water, coffee and plenty of seating.
- ling sue (10/5): - Location is convenient to visit sites by bus or metro. A bit far away from jr station. We took Uber which was abt $13 to get to and from hotel,
There is a coffee machine in the lobby area offers pretty good coffee, as a matter of fact, better than the other hotels we stayed in Japan.
- Valérie (8/5): Well situated hotel - The hotel room was ok. Well situated and the staff was nice. The lounge area is only open from 11h to around 22h. It doesn’t have much to offer. The laundry area lacks machines.
- Noel (10/5): - From the moment i walked in the reception was really welcoming and warm. The only problem i had was with the 400 yen accommodation tax, not really a massive problem as it was next to nothing but surely i paid for that when i purchased the room no?
As for for room had everything you needed decent size and shower was excellent one minor thing was a couple of small stains on carpet but considering the low price, room was a steal. Overall great, id stay again for sure
- Beatrice (10/5): Fantastic hotel, great location, beautiful rooms - The best hotel we stayed in during our time in japan, thankyou for a wonderful stay! Great value for money and fantastic staff!
- George (8/5): - Spacious room comparatively; close to metro, shopping; would go back. Good experience.
- George (8/5): - Great stay; rooms spacious in comparison to other hotels; close to all amenities; travelled with teenaged son, both of us happy; very hand 7-11 store for treats and ATN/welcome suica card recharging; #9 bus just outside to take you to sooo many temples/shrine
- Nero (10/5): - Excellent spot, close to train station, convenient store next to it, easy walk down Main Street, easy to find, great staff, would recommend to anyone.
- Patrick (10/5): - Staff were friendly. We were able to leave our luggage before and after our reservation.
