Guest Reviews
- Dawn (2/5): - Poor quality
- Catherine (4/5): - The property ìs old and rundown. The property has not been maintained or upgraded. Bed spread was stained, towels old and worn, bathroom
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nastiest hotel ever. - This place is nasty. We had a two night reservation but left after one night. One room smelled of smoke. There was no toilet paper in rooms. Towels were stained and we were only given two. Carpet was disgusting. Furniture was falling apart. I could go on and on.
- Bryan (4/5): - It wasn’t that dirty. They kinda cleaned the bathroom. The carpet was moist and sticky. Don’t take your shoes off. No bugs. No wifi so I couldn’t work unless I went to the lobby and used the office wifi. We had 1 full towel 1 hand towel. I asked for more and he originally said no but then gave me two and a wash cloth. The neighbors smoked a lot of pot and our room stunk like it. The owner was never there so people had trouble getting checked in and getting receipts. It’s a place to sleep. But next time I will stay in Dexter and drive.
- Heather (2/5): - It was not clean there was not a worker there that actually
The lady that was there trying to help called several of the owners and family members of the owners and they would laugh and hang up up her all of us in the lobby could hear everything
I did not feel safe there i have stayed there so many times over many years and it was great until these new owners took over
- Laura (2/5): - Didn't even get to stay. Reserved the room a month in advance. Showed up to check in and was rudely informed they didn't have a room for me. Needless to say, would not recommend.
- Melynda (6/5): - Never anyone at the front desk. Had to wait 20 min for some to finally show up. No frills motel. Appeared to be clean til you looked at your feet. Not enough toilet paper and never replaced. Empty kleenex box and never replaced. We had to go buy our own. One bed made without flat sheet. Extended our stay. Left multiple msgs that we had urgent family issues and had exteded our atay. Never returned calls. When we finally made it back very rude front desk person who had no regard for the reservation I had made for our extension amd over charged me. After lengthy discussion claim to have returned the money to my card. Requested house keeping for clean linens and proper linens. Never happened.. price is the only decent thing about this place.
- Anna (10/5): - Awesome
- Maria (2/5): - No towels in the room. Hair in the tub . Water coming under the door.
- Norma (2/5): - I very upset with the reservation I paid for and the insurance I booked room with . We never got a room and no one from Expedia even tried to help . It was very sad situation . Will never book through Expedia again.
- Brenda (2/5): Worst place ever - Would not stay there the floor was absolutely filthy feet were black after walking on carpet the air conditioner did not work light in bathroom verily lit. Had two nights scheduled only stayed one night and asked for refund for second night they refused.
- Everette (10/5): - The staff was very nice and professional. The room was very clean. It's just what the doctor ordered at midnight on a drive up from Louisiana.
- Mark (2/5): - Avoid this one. All of the other reviews are quite old and it is likely under different management. Upon walking in you'll be met with potent cigarette smoke from the old dining room that's been converted to an "arcade" room.
Worse, I didn't even get to stay as when I arrived at their 24-hour lobby no one was at the counter. There was a note taped to the window saying they had to run to the bank and would be back in 10 minutes. I waited upward of 50 minutes, tried ringing the bell a few times, tried calling the number listed for assistance, no one appeared. I was hoping to have been asleep by this point so left to find another hotel.
I contacted Expedia for a refund and they contacted the property owner. Eventually the property owner said they would not refund me but my reservation was still open. As soon as I'm back home I'll be filing a suit in court to recover my money if they decide not to refund me before then.
I hate dishonest businesses and this is a dishonest business. Do not give them your money.
- Elester (2/5): - never got my rooms they were over book
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a good place to stay for an evening. The Lady at the front desk was very nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No coffee in rooms. They were out. But it was clean and staff was very friendly. I just wanted my coffee.
- Cathy (8/5): A couple nights - Was all good but I’ll give 4 stars cause shower was bad water pressure no heat lamp non-working so it was cold and looked for blow dryer and non was there when I’ve alway stayed so I had to use the heater to dry my hair wasn’t fun but was told that people steal them. I thought paying a deposit and if someone stole them they’d pay with deposit that was inconvenient but the lady at check I. Is always nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good basic room, comfy beds, microwave and fridge. Close to town and restaurant
- Robert (10/5): - Great stay. Very clean, friendly staff, convenient to restaurants
- Verified traveler (10/5): EXCELLENT LAST MINUTE STAY - The Hospitality was excellent.
- Latisha (8/5): - The hotel was nice and clean. I didn't require any services while I was there so I can't speak on anything else. But when I checked in the lady was very nice and friendly.
- Scott (8/5): - With limited choices in area, hotel was decent. Nothing special but alright
- Johnny (8/5): Comfort - Great quiet location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good enough - Unscheduled landing at the airport nearby. Got a room for a shower and a nap. Slight smell of smoke but descent for what it is.
- John (8/5): - Clean, bed nice, quiet
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean. Nice folks.
- Renee (8/5): - Quiet, clean and comfortable. Not fancy. No breakfast. Firm king size bed, tv, small refrigerator and microwave. Very basic, but adequate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a nice room for what I needed it for. The bathroom was clean but could stand to be bigger and bottles of water could have been provided
- Verified traveler (8/5): David - One nighter
Will definitely come back
No bugs (always look wherever I am)
It was a nice stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s the only Motel in Malden. Staff was super friendly and helpful on all matters. My lights over the bathroom sink needed to be changed and I let the desk know.
I’m thankful there is a Motel in town it would have been difficult visiting family if I had to stay in a neighboring town. This was super convenient.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is an older property but it was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I would stay here again.
