Their house is very central in the historic renaissance area next to the cathedral. It is situated just on a historic caruggi . It is clean and comfortable with daily fresh bedding and towels. There is a shared kitchen lounge area with a second guest room and coffee etc is refreshed daily. Carlo helped us with many recommendations regards places of interest and is a great source regards the history of Genoa. We stayed for for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at San Lorenzo There was nothing to dislike
- Debbie (5/5): Convenient but cramped & uncomfy. - The location was convenient and the history of the building was impressive. Access to coffee maker in the morning. The bedroom was so small. There was barely enough room to walk around the bed and I’m a small person. The double bed was 2 singles put together, both of which sunk in the middle so we’re not very comfy. It was noisy. Could hear everything that went on in the other bedroom and frequent shouting from the owners. Breakfast was pastries which were left out from the night before so we didn’t eat.

Very cozy. Excellent location for all major sites. The internal lock was super awkward and I was actually locked out of my room (but in the building) for almost an hour one night. I suggest leaving the internal door open!
- Renata (3/5): Poor - First room was nice although no natural light, and breakfast was great. The owner made us move from our nice bedroom to a much worse one just because a new reservation came up for him. We could not sleep and there was a lot of noise, the beds were much less comfortable and smaller - we just left after 3 nights although we initially intended to stay longer, very tired and it was a big problem to look for another accommodation. It just ruined our week, it was very disrespectful. The common fridge was also very dirty, and you cannot cook, contrarily to what the pics indicate, and no microwave. A real shame, as his wife was extremely sweet and it felt like home in the beginning.

Carlo and his wife Ann are great hosts and v helpful. Coffee etc available all day. Bed v comfy and bathroom facilities clean and warm. Room was a little small with double bed however for a solo traveller it was perfect.

- David (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay was fantastic, one of the most memorable stays of our European adventures. The rooms are charismatic, quiet and incredibly comfortable. Carlo is an excellent host, incredibly kind, helpful and attentive. The breakfast that is laid out is an extensive list of everything that you'd want while visiting Italy. When returning to explore Genova further, we won't hesitate to visit Carlo at the Affittacamere again! Absolutely nothing.

We had the room without real window (there is a small window on a ventilation space of 2meter, dark, smelly and without view). This information should be clearly stated in the B&B description. It is a bad surprise.
