Guest Reviews
- Aimee (10/5): Romantic and High-end - This hotel is outstanding in every aspect! The rooms are huge, clean and well maintained. I cannot fault Rakuyu is any way at all. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming. During check-in we received a full breakdown of the facilities as well as the shuttle bus, which we used to go to Kawaguchiko Station once we checked out.
The views from the rooms are so beautiful, my fiancé proposed to me during sunset from our room, it was gorgeous.
We plan to return to Rakuyu on our next trip to Lake Kawaguchiko. I would highly highly recommend this hotel.
- Julius (10/5): -
- McConnell (10/5): If you want a relaxing authentic Japanese stay this is the place! - The room was incredible. Really enjoyed the style. Staff super helpful Was difficult to get to. Very up hill
- Reinholdt (10/5): -
- Lis (8/5): - View, breakfast. Phone number to call for shuttle bus wasn't working day we arrived so had to take a taxi instead.
- Natalia (10/5): -
- SERGEI (8/5): - Property gives tea with snacks at 15-17 and light dinner 17-19, so actually no point to seek restaurant. Lack of authentic atmosphere due to a lot of non-Japanese guests and non-Japanese music in the lobby
- Claire (10/5): This place is great. The views are amazing! - Fantastic view from the room, delicious breakfast and happy hour was amazing. A short walk down the street and up a trail to see Mt Fuji. Nothing
Desayuno mejorable.
- Dganit (10/5): - הכל
- Peter (10/5): have recommended this place to friends and family, we found it be a very special place - unreal rooms with uninterrupted views of Lake Kawaguchiko and surrounding mountains
the food was sensational, huge good quality breakfast, no lunch but afternoon tea 3pm to 5pm which had heaps of food, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks. from 5pm to 7pm a smorgasbord of top quality food, sashimi, many different types of meats, salads and asian dishes and alcohol included it was expensive but the inclusion of the food and drinks meant you didn't have to put your hand in your pocket again for food if you didn't want to. Access for some may have been difficult as the hotel is on the side of a mountain so if you had trouble with mobility you would need to use their shuttle service a lot but we walked everywhere
no Foxtel
- Sandra (10/5): Excellent we would definitely recommend and we had a trip round the lake on a speed boat and saw the most spectacular vi - Excellent views the staff were very friendly too. We were disappointed when the cafe’s were closing at 5pm at the lake. So headed back to the hotel, but went in for the cocktails and light meal that were complimentary and the food was fantastic, we were very impressed. Excellent service. The walk up the hill to the hotel very steep!!
- Çiftçi Ertürk (10/5): Huzur ve doğa - Tesisin konumu, kaldığımız odamızın göl manzarası, gün içindeki ikramlar dahil her şey muhteşemdi.Özellikle Japon yemeklerine çok aşina olmadığımız için ikramlar bize çok zevkliydi. Kafa dinleme tatili için kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.
- Berta (10/5): -
- clancy688 (9/5): - Great hotel for Western guests. Japanese hospitality, but Western needs (like Western beds and Western food), great staff! Nothing

- Thomas (10/5): -
- Karin (9/5): Geweldig! - Prachtige locatie, bijzonder vriendelijk personeel, fantastisch ontbijt en namiddag borrel inclusief zeer uitgebreid hapjes buffet! Niets
- Michael (10/5): -
- Boffo (9/5): Very clean and great staff - Very clean and good breakfast A long walk up the hill

- Coulton (10/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Sasha (10/5): This place was tranquil? - We had a fantastic stay and were made to feel relaxed in luxury from the moment we were picked up at the station. The lobby had gorgeous views on arrival. Our room was beautiful and spacious.
The private onsen was a fantastic experience although the public onsen was also great and did not charge extra.
The food provided in the club lounge was tasty, varied and substantial - we didn't need to go out for dinner afterwards!
We were able to go for a sunrise 5k around lake Kawaguchiko which topped the whole visit off. The only slight complaint is that the toilet roll was very thin although this feels like looking for faults because there were none obvious.
- tomasz (10/5): - Location T
- Yushkova (10/5): - Wonderful service, amenities, would def come back

- Jason (10/5): Exceptional views right on the lake - Great views from the room out into the lake. Excellent hot pools at a perfect temperature. The staff are extremely welcoming. The food and drink was extensive. Close to all places of interest.
- Oya (8/5): Great retreat which was lovely restful break. The views if Mount Fuji were amazing - I loved the traditional Japanese room. The view was out of this world. It was a great retreat. Had a massage who came to room which was very good. Good option for breakfast There was limited facilities however I liked it as it was also peaceful and restful

- Heddi (9/5): -
- Anair (9/5): -
- Aline (9/5): -
- Lakovsky (10/5): - Beautiful place, best location. Futon bed was relativlety thick.
- Roman (9/5): Sehr zu empfehlen - Sehr schöner public Onsen, private Onsen verfügbar. Unglaublich gutes Buffet!
- Carine (10/5): - The view is spectacular. The hotel comes with both public and private bath. Service of the staffs are excellent. The way to walk up to the hotel is challenging as it is steep.
- Suvina (10/5): Beautiful spacious rooms with lovely view and inclusive snacks! - Excellent stay. Spacious rooms with lovely views. The breakfast, afternoon tea and supper meals were great. Views of the lake from the room are also amazing. No FujiSan views but we were well aware of that before the stay. Nothing
- Darko (10/5): Odmor - Savršen hotel sa savršenim pogledom i izuzetno ljubaznim osobljem. Sadržaji odlični, a imaju i uslugu prijevoza do i od kolodvora. Odlični
- GILLES (10/5): - Tout
Tea time en cocktail time is zo leuk.
- Matthew (10/5): A truly wonderful stay! - The room was exceptional with a stunning view of the lake. Breakfast was fantastic and the cocktail hour with “light meals” were also brilliant and definitely enough to fill you up. Staff were all professional and friendly. We will be back. A 5 star stay! Nothing!
- Eliran (10/5): -
- Paula (10/5): -
Veřejné i soukromé lázně
- Monika (9/5): -
Shuttle-Angebot.
- Wendy (10/5): Rakuyu offers that perfect blend of comfort, scenery, and hospitality - Staying at Rakuyu was the most memorable parts of our Japan trip to the point that my group of friends almost felt no need to leave the hotel for our 2 days in Mt. Fuji because it provided everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully designed to help guests relax and fully take in the beauty of the area. Our room was absolutely incredible—a spacious Japanese-Western style room with its own private onsen bathtub which two of my friends took full advantage of and did their own private onsen. The view of Lake Kawaguchi from the main room was unforgettable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the double-mattressed futon setup made for some of the best sleep we had during our travels. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The all-you-can-eat breakfast offered an impressive variety, with both Japanese and Western options, all fresh and delicious. Beyond that, the added touches like tea time and happy hour buffets were such a treat—there was always something new to try, and everything was beautifully presented. The onsen facilities themselves were also fantastic—clean, well-designed, and stocked with thoughtful amenities. The lake views from the baths were stunning, especially in the evening when the when the town lights dotted the edge of the lake and the atmosphere became even more serene. Service at Rakuyu was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The location is another big plus. It’s conveniently close to the Mt. Fuji Ropeway, making it easy to explore. We also loved the short but moderately steep hike to/from the top of the ropeway, which rewarded us with beautiful views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding area.
Rakuyu offers that perfect blend of comfort, scenery, and hospitality. The perfect weekend retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Highly recommend.

- Kira (10/5): Ein wunderschönes, ruhiges Hotel nahe der Seilbahn - Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Seilbahn Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway.
- Maria Rosario (10/5): Beautiful ryokan! Very good value for money - free onsen bath, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, buffet dinner and break -
- Mihir (10/5): -
- Jaime (10/5): Wonderful. The rooms were exceptional. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. - It was wonderful. The staff were so friendly, the hotel was super clean and the rooms speak for themselves! Nothing. It was all fantastic.

- Sarandeep (10/5): Most memorable experience we’ve ever had! Want to come back just to stay here again. - Most memorable stay we’ve ever had in our life. Amazing view, tea time, cocktail hour and breakfast were fantastic. Cocktail hour had so much food and drinks you honestly don’t even need dinner. Their tea time had great food too and the teas were amazing. Didn’t like that you couldn’t bring food or some drinks even tea or coffee back to your room from the cocktail or tea time.
