- Jon (5/5): Niggles but nice! - Lovely looking property in a nice location. Whilst the property looks great, we felt underwhelmed by the whole experience. Firstly, the parking - it might work for a small to medium sized car but it was impossible to park easily with our SUV - there's just not enough space to manoeuvre so we ended up parking out on the street. We noticed other properties in the street had redesigned their front gardens to accommodate easier parking and this would have been useful. Inside the property it has nice sized rooms, is well decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. It was let down by, what we felt, were easily addressed niggles that resolving would really enhance the guest experience. The front door lock is loose and flimsy and could do with being updated both for genuine security and to make the guests feel more secure too. Moving into the property, the internal lobby door handle fell off a number of times during our stay and you could see that there had been some previous attempts to fix it to no avail. There are messages throughout the property advising guests not to slam doors however this could easily be addressed by making sure the doors that currently have closers on worked properly and to fit closers(that work) to the doors that don't - I'm sure this would go a long way to resolve this issue. The bedrooms were disappointing and had a hotch potch of old flat pack furniture that in most cases were tired looking and, in some cases, falling apart. The front bedroom had a constant damp smell despite opening the windows when we could. The ensuite in that bedroom was OK but for the shower screen leaking in the bottom corner of the door and the mirror being strangely positioned meaning you had to lean over to look in it when using the sink! We were surprised and disappointed that there were no TV's in the bedrooms despite there being aerials in all the rooms and it looked like they had been removed for some reason.
- Shirley (6/5): If you're looking for luxury ... don't bother ... - Close proximity to sea front. Spacious. I would never give an unfair review or tell any lies to discredit an owner. This review is the truth and hopefully will serve as a pre-warning to others expecting a luxurious stay. Damp property. Dirty furnishings, paintwork and windows. Damp/mould patches in various rooms. Distinct smell of damp as you entered property and in bathroom and bedrooms. Unkempt garden. Not cleaned thoroughly enough. Had to purchase bleach and air freshener for the main bathroom to try and alleviate the smell. Filthy shower curtain. Had to purchase a shower mat as none provided for the slippy bath surface. Owners need to employ a decent cleaner if they are going to be living away from the area. Could not use one of the bedrooms for more than one night, due to the damp smell in there. Also had to purchase a vegetable prep knife and potato peeler - as no knife provided and the potato peeler provided was so blunt, we were unable to use it. Paid a lot of money for the week (nearly £1300) and expected luxury. Got 'standard'. £182 per night. Would have been cheaper in a Marriot hotel! Overpriced and under-clean. I have many more photos but can only submit 4 ...
- Darren (8/5): Very good - Clean and tidy and everything you needed clearly laid out in the book for guests.
- Fiona (8/5): Very good - The main bedroom was a awful smell , uncomfortable smell not nice at all
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): Decent 3 bed accommodation - Good location and 3 bedrooms to accommodate our travelling party.
Clean & tidy and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Bed 3 was a bit small and had limited storage (& smelt a bit off?).
- Carolyn (8/5): Great location for a stay in Weston-super-Mare and very comfortable house. - Lovely property. Three bedrooms, main one was en-suite. Family bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked with crockery. Good location, near to the seafront. There is an allocated parking space but we just parked on the road.
There are good walks nearby. Brean Down and Worlebury woods. En-suite bathroom would benefit from a towel rail. There was nowhere to put mugs in the sitting room apart from on the floor. It would benefit from a coffee table. Take your own dishwasher tablets! - none provided.
- Arthur (9/5): Great stay lovely apartment - The size and layout large rooms ideal as my wife has trouble walking and the walk-in shower was perfect for her There is some black mould in the shower that needs to be sorted out apart from that I cannot think of anything else
- Andrew (10/5): Great, really nice apartment. - Clean, spacious, all very nice On a hill. Low car difficult to park on drive.
- Mary (10/5): Very relaxing in a beautiful property - The rooms were very nicely decorated.

- Charisse (10/5): Absolutely perfect! - The apartment was spotless, with absolutely everything you could imagine needing - from extra quilts to tea and coffee, hairdryers, clean fluffy towels, coffee machine.. even a spare baby bottle!
We are so happy we chose Cannon House, and would highly recommend this place.
The apartment itself is huge, with plenty of room for our family of four. It has a lovely, homely feel to it and we were made very welcome from the get-go.
The location is ideal too. I've lived in Weston in the past so I know that the centre can get busy, particularly in tourist season, and Cannon House is perfectly situated within walking distance of the centre, yet out of the hustle and bustle.
Communication with the owners was fantastic. Straight forward, friendly and fast replies.
Overall, I can't rate this place highly enough, we'll definitely be back! There was nothing to dislike!
- Suelangley (10/5): Beautiful place - What can I say the house looked amazing from the outside to the lovely entrance, the beds were comfortable and everything had a place and we didn't want for anything like home from home x My brother hit his legs on the bed as not much room to walk around that room might of been nest with the singles in there and double in other room x
- Andrew (6/5): An Ok 3 night stay. - The host had great communication, the apartment was pleasant and clean, a little outdated in areas but it was fine for our 3 night trip. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. Location of the property is good and the parking was also good. The sofa needs updating, it’s very uncomfortable. The WiFi was a little problematic on arrival soo if you intend to work at the property then this may be an issue. The double beds were fine, could do with new pillows though but the 2 single beds, one of them was a little dipped in the base but didn’t cause a massive issue. Although the property was clean it did smell like damp on arrival and also one of the wardrobes had someone else’s top in it. Other than that everything was ok.
- Timothy (8/5): Very good -
- Lawton (6/5): Would not stay there again not told how hilly it was from house to beach - The hall and rooms The sofa needed replacing the bathroom was unkempt rust everywhere the Bath had rust from filters shower screen dirty not good the en suite was bad mould tiles dirty
- Richard (9/5): A great place to stay to enjoy western. - Lovely and quiet , a short walk from the sea and town centre, nice and spacious. Parking spots a bit tricky to get in and out, but plenty of street parking.
- Caroline (6/5): Pleasant - beautiful location cleaning could be improved sofa not for elders
- David (8/5): Very good - Roomy and comfortable and the owner was super helpfull Car parking is very very tight and we really struggled but we have a large car. A small car or family hatchback would manage
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (9/5): loved our stay and love WSM hopefully return one day - great location and both spacious and well kitted
- Janet (7/5): Good -
- Alexander (9/5): Perfect place to stay for a family holiday in WSM. - Very spacious Victorian property just a stone's throw from the promenade. Comfortable and clean with everything you need for a holiday or weekend away. We didn't realise one of the bedrooms had ensuite which was a bonus. N/A
- Rosie (9/5): Superb -
- Evelyn (10/5): Very good value . - We were 4 friends ( should have been 5 but unfortunately one couldn't make it. The house was very well equipped with comfortable beds and in a good location. Enjoyed our stay. Nothing to dislike..
- Tyron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (9/5): really nice apartment , very homely and well equipped - lovely and spacious , really well equipped, very warm , home from home.
- Lisa (10/5): An excellent property to stay at in Weston where you dont feel like your in Weston - Location fantastic, slightly out of the main hub of weston two roads back from the main road. Abject silence at night.lovely!
The apartment is well presented with a stunning entrance hallway. Very much a suprise when you open the double doors and see how big the place is!The conversion has been well thought thru, and constructed well keeping lots of the original frontage details from years gone by. All equipment that you would need is there, and cleanliness to a good standard. Parking is good. Not sure why previous reviewers have complained about the neighbour, she's so friendly and interesting, spent some time chatting with her, so engaging. Beds good, bathrooms good, kitchen very good and the big table is great for a family meal, with the doors open and the sunshine flooding in. not a complaint, just an observation, tv could do with an upgrade, and settee and other bits a bit tired and maybe need some TLC just IMO.
