- REG (3/5): Impossible to stay any longer - nice bathroom bed uncomfortable, room very pokey, stairs to the room very narrow and not expected, opening windows i saw paint peeling of the exterior wall- this is poor. For £114 a night without breakfast , i expect a lot better for this part of the country
- Neil (5/5): -
- Vicky (10/5): A gorgeous little gem close to the Cathedral Quarter. We want to book again already ! - The room was spacious , clean and comfortable. The shower room was huge ! Nothing
- Gillian (6/5): Ok for one night. - Location was good. Cleanliness was not good.
Mirror in the room very dusty. Hairs in the bathroom and the room was shabby with marks on the wall. Light bulb out in ceiling light.
No tea bags, only sachets of old Nescafé coffee and the sugar in the sachets was hard.
Entrance access could do with a repaint.
- Terry (10/5): Loved the Bronze Pig - Warm, comfortable and immaculately clean. This is an excellent centre for exploring the city

- Andy (10/5): Great location - Very clean It was all good
- Clare (7/5): - Location Needed cleaning. Hair in shower and on toilet
- Scarlett (8/5): Comfortable stay - Very lovely room with everything that was needed Nothing
- Timothy (9/5): A very pleasant weekend break enhanced by a fabulous meal at the Bronze Pig restaurant - Convenient location - great restaurant attached - excellent shower N/A
- Sullivan (8/5): Great spot at the top of the hill - perfect base for exploring Lincoln. - Great location and the room was warm, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't available when we stayed.
- Rob (6/5): - The location was fairly central The room was shabby, bin not empty, shower pulling away from the wall and sealant repaired badly, furniture held together by a tension strap (and glued, so this was a repair) and walls were grubby and/or damaged.
- Lisa (1/5): I didn’t stay there as it was poor standard. I’m asking for a refund - Nothing, I was taken up a pokey passage way. It led to a narrow staircase with grubby walls
The bathroom was ok It wasn’t comfortable and I left after an hour as it wasn’t up to the standard given the price. It was shabby and over priced. Mattress felt soft. The carpet and walls were grubby, the hall way was grubby too. It was expensive for what it. I felt uncomfortable there, it felt like a bedsit

- Thi Hoai Thu (10/5): - This is an excellent place to stay for anyone visiting Lincoln Uphill. The owner is wonderful and always makes guests feel very welcome. The best restaurant, delicious food, and whenever we are looking for a good fancy dinner in Lincoln, this is our top choice. We have tried many of the fine dining restaurants in the city, but this is the one we always come back to for special occasions.
- John (8/5): The restaurant at the Bronze Pig was excellent and with a discount on staying helped to make this a gastronomic success - Close to parking and very very good associated high dining restaurant. The talented chef and his staff were excellent in every way. Friendly, informative and expert. Bath light automatic switch together with fan and glass door meant long periods of lights on at night if toilet used after bedtime.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- David (10/5): Very good accomodation ideal for visiting the restaurant - Very clean comfortable room Nothing
- Dean (9/5): -
- Sam (8/5): Slightly disappointed by the cleanliness but otherwise ok - Great location, comfortable room The bathroom has a lot of black mould
- john (8/5): Incredible area to eat and drink as well as the main attractions - Small and cosy. Very comfortable Nothing to not like about this property
- Kim (6/5): - The bed was comfortable All the slamming of the back door while restaurant was open, hard to relax. The glass door to bathroom with automatic light meant you woke your partner entering the room and not private
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely, charming stay in fantastic location. - Lovely, charming property in a perfect location. Room was spotless and well equipped and with an extremely comfortable bed. Absolutely loved my stay and will be back! Only that I was there on an evening when your restaurant was closed! Next time I’ll make sure it’s an evening when you’re open!
- Laura (9/5): - Really lovely place to stay.
- Andrea (5/5): Good location but would not stay there again myself or be happy to recommend to others. - The room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower. The entrance to the rooms was appalling. Dirty, badly-fitted carpets, grubby thin corridors, which were off-putting before you’d even got to the room. In the room there were cobwebs around the ceilings and light fittings.
- Timothy (7/5): Overnight stay with family celebrating a birthday 🎉 - Host very welcoming on arrival
Location was excellent as was very near to the Castle and shops ect
Beds were very comfortable We booked two rooms for one night and one bathroom was very cold as the heating was not working properly and the bedroom pipes were noisy therefore sleep was disturbed.
The front bedroom appeared to be unaffected and was nice and warm
- carl (10/5): -
- Sharon (6/5): - Location
- Richard (9/5): - Very clean ,modern and spacious No fridge but if added musr be totally silent .
- Nick (6/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): -
- Paul (10/5): - Bathroom was superb Stairs to room very steep & no mention on the booking
- Colin (9/5): Bronze Pig: Gold star. - Great location. Very clean, comfortable room. All the amenities were there. The bathroom was good, it was warm in the bathroom when you stepped out of the shower. Can't fault it, really. Coffee making facilities. Very nice room. Very little.
I'm not a fan of the doorknobs with the combination locks but that's maybe a bugbear of mine as I find then a bit awkward.
- Paul (9/5): -
- Clare (10/5): -
- Zoe (4/5): I wouldnt stay again. I appreciate that it was low cost but I still expect clean - Location was close to castle.
We arrived early and they were kind enough to let us drop bags etc
Tea and coffee facilities, biscuits Quite dirty. Hallway entrance carpet is dark and dirty, indoor hallway was filthy, covered in dirt. Bedroom carpet stained but hoovered. Cobwebs over ceiling, ceiling light, some bulbs need replacing . Bathroom contained very dirty toothbrush pot, silicone around shower was black.
Brhind freestanding mirror was dirty and cobwebs in bathroom.
- Sonja (10/5): - Nice cozy room.
- Wendy (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Good but improvement needed - Great location. Welcoming host. Nice modern room. Good breakfast. The standards of cleanliness could be improved. The stairs and hallway leading up to the room needed a good vacuum. This clearly had not been done for done time. There was a clear footprint on the white bathmat.
- matthew (9/5): A very comfortable stay in a fantastic location. - Really well appointed room, a very comfortable bed, and fantastic staff. The location is fantastic, situated only five minutes walk from the castle and cathedral, with car parking literally around the corner. Really couldn't be better. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't included, but worth paying extra for.
- Nick (9/5): Ideal for a one or two night stay in Lincoln - Nice room above a restaurant, very quiet and clean, handy for the Old Town and plenty of options for eating and drinking, plenty of parking within a short walking distance of the place. The stairs up to the room are quite narrow and steep, it would be hard to carry large heavy bags up them for some people
- Kate (4/5): Great location but poor execution and attention to detail. Could be great. - Great location, multiple public car parks close by so getting parked was not an issue. Just over £10 for 24 hours is a good price for the location.
Friendly welcome from the owner. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. I don’t think some areas of the room had been cleaned for some time. There were cobwebs everywhere, we aren’t talking the odd one or two, both windows were covered, ceiling lights also covered, even down the walls. Bedside lamps really dusty. Mirrors and surfaces that had been wiped were covered in smears. The basic function of a mirror is to see your reflection, but had to try and look between the smear marks. Shower caddy rusty - just remove it or replace with a plastic one. Desk in the room looked like it had been glued together and then had a strap holding it together. Pillows on the bed looked stained as they weren’t as white as the duvet cover. Curtain pole hanging on by the last screw, good luck to the person it falls on. Just general poor execution all round.

- Thomas (6/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Comfortable room above restaurant. Ate a good meal. - Comfortable room, friendly staff No breakfast
- Alan (3/5): Self-service rooms masquerading as a three star hotel. - The Rooms were spacious and the location is good. This was listed in with three and four star hotels but had: no heating (in autumn), no Wi/Fi, no breakfast option (which was listed as being on offer), a very expensive restaurant, only briefly open a few evenings a week and no staff on site.
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Paul (6/5): Not worth the money! - Easy check-in. Good location in uphill Lincoln. Had to walk to another hotel in the pouring rain for the so called included breakfast! No option to eat at the property! If I had wanted breakfast at the Tower Hotel I would have stayed there! The room was tired with no option to get any heating on a cold rainy night!
- Imogen (7/5): Comfort near the castle. - Stayed at the Bronze pig for 2 nights, felt like we were staying at someones house rather than a hotel. Lovely owner who gave us some advice on visiting the castle no problems but knew if there were we could go to them. Comfy room in a great location. Would have given it a slightly higher rating as could do with a good clean and especially the bathroom sink cleaning ( 2nd night it stunk!) Give it a good clean and it'll be an 8 or even a 9.
- Max (2/5): Rubbish in Lincoln - Location okay Room dirty, bathroom mouldy, tiles not cleaned, stairs to room filthy, steep and awkward. Side entrance and corridor dilapidated. Restaurant closed, no breakfast available. No bar despite photos of facilities.
Says street parking available but it is only for 2 hours. Saw one member of staff who had to be phoned to come back and let us in.
One of the worst accommodations we have ever stayed in and not worth the £95 we paid.
- Stevie Doc (7/5): I was not informed the restaurant was closed and found the room over priced. - Nice décor and bathroom. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. Also the noise from the rain on the plastic roof outside the room kept me awake.
- Andrea (8/5): Great location, very comfy bed and lovely bathroom - Very handy location. Wonderfully comfy bed
- Weronika (10/5): Amazing - Location was great close to the Lincoln castle and cathedral. Public parking available and staff was lovely. Room overall was amazing clean and spacious. Highly recommend
- Eve (10/5): -
- Mundle (10/5): Exceptional service - It was one of the best experiences I've had from the booking in process to booking out. I can't rate the staff, accommodation, and location highly enough. I would visit lincoln again just to stay in the Bronze Pig. I even asked to book out later than expected, and it was agreed with no extra cost. The was excellent and a true professional.
- Jeremy (7/5): -
- Charley (8/5): - Good location and nice facilities
- Peter (5/5): We won’t be returning! - Comfortable bed, good shower Entrance was a dingy, smelly corridor. No milk for coffee, tea, half roll of loo paper, 4 tea bags for 2 people on 2 night stay, no staff on site to ask for milk, loo rolls etc
- Lucien (5/5): -
- Peter (8/5): - Staff member (owner, I think) was very pleasant, showed us our room and left us to it. Room was clean, well appointed and comfortable with a great bathroom. Location was awesome, only a few minutes walk from the major central city attractions, pubs, etc. Would definitely stay there again. The Bronze Pig did not have its own parking but there is easy and inexpensive parking directly across the road. Steep steps up to the room that made getting heavy bags up and down a bit awkward but not a significant issue.
- Anne (8/5): - Good location very near town.
Really clean. No plug in bathroom sink
- Simon (8/5): Great place and location - Excellent room, great location! Breakfast was in a neighbouring hotel, I sense because I was on a Monday night when the restaurant was closed.. Breakfast was good though.
- Emma (7/5): It was a stranhe please. At rep - Honestly hard to say The room was immediatelyyy you u
- Jennn1719 (10/5): -
- rebecca (8/5): - A very comfortable 2 night stay
Great location close to Castle and Carhedral Nothing

- Crumpton (9/5): Superb - Spotless bedroom and bathroom. Very close to the castle and cathedral. Only car parking available was in pay car parks
- Anne (8/5): Very good - Parking was close to The Bronze Pig. The Bronze pig was value for money for a city. The host was very hospitable..The city centre was a short walk with lots of boutiques & shops &nightlife ,also a short walk to Lincoln castle & cathedral. Nothing 😔
- April (8/5): Ideal location for the castle and cathedral Lovely engaging host and fabulous breakfast - Small friendly place Ideal location for the city

- Karen (10/5): Cute Hotel - Close to the music venue, loving staff. Nice big room, fantastic shower in bathroom Nothing
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (7/5): Good - The location is great, close to everything also it was quiet during the night. Thought it had a fusty smell to it….
- Keeley (7/5): Good -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Location was amazing. Sat against the Castle walls.
Close to several 24 hour carparks which were well priced.
Excellent menu in the restaurant. Rooms were very clean and well presented, comfy beds great pillows. Fantastic bathroom Having to leave
- Amzallag (9/5): very nice stay, great breakfast - Service room and breakfast were amazing
- Gary (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great
Room was clean and comfortable everything we needed
- Michelle (8/5): very nice property-bit quirky decor. would stay again - checking in was very easy. Breakfast extra cost but excellent-value for money. Excellent location-car park very reasonable rate close by. king size bed
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Julia (4/5): Disappointing and not worth the money - First impression was not very good. The alley to the entrance was tatty. The stair carpet was dirty. They had not been hoovered or cleaned. The carpet in the room was also stained. The bathroom ceiling had mould above the shower. I would not have expected that for a room that was £100 per night especially as did not even include breakfast.
- Andrew (9/5): Great location and Great value for money. - The location was amazing. Comfortable bed. Shower was amazing. Room was very clean.
- Margaret (8/5): Good central location - Good location for the castle & cathedral
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic breakfast. Infact one of the best. The host is brilliant nothing was too much trouble. The coffee is out of this world fantastic I had to have two cups it was literally that good.
Location was perfect for a gig at the castle and close to all amenities. Really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you so much I normally can find something but couldn't on this occasion.
- Alan (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (6/5): Really nice place in a great location but it priced the same as better hotels in the area - Location is perfect and there is plenty of parking just round the corner priced quite reasonably for a city. The rooms are nice but could do with a some extra touches to warrant the price per night also the bathrooms are beautiful and very clean It is an old property converted which is really nice and I understand that as it is a working restaurant too things have to work alongside each other but I do think the rooms take 2nd place to the restaurant.
In the rooms the tv is only internet connected and didn’t work properly as the wifi is terrible ! I couldn’t connect to it at all and tried several times. In the morning the tv wouldn’t work and was stuck on cnn news.
- Charlotte (8/5): Very good -
- Lois (8/5): Very good - Fabulous location. The bed was very comfortable. Nice bathroom. Good facilities. Wardrobe was out of alignment, so it was awkward to open and close.
- Scobie (10/5): Exceptional - The location was very good. Right by the castle. Breakfast was incredible.
