The room was well furnished, with a desk, table, kitchenette and two single beds with divine mattresses, and a nice bathroom. Good food in the restaurant downstairs. We were thoroughly happy with the place. Would recommend! I loved the pillows, but some might not, they were very soft. Perfect for me, but my travel companion stacked a few layers to get comfy. Very minor issue

• Sven (8/5): Ordentliche Pension mit zuvorkommender Gastgeberin - Eine saubere und ordentliche Unterkunft. Die Wohnung, in der wir übernachteten, hatte alles, was man für den Aufenthalt braucht. Die Gastgeberin ist außerordentlich nett und hilfsbereit. Für uns ganz wichtig: hundefreundlich!
• Joanna (7/5): Cozy and slightly skewed! - It's a cozy apartment with free parking on a nearby street. It is stuffed with handy items, is rather clean and fresh, the linen and towels smell nice. The host is wonderfully cheerful and helpful. For those in need of food - there is a restaurant in the building, ran by the host, where you can taste some German cuisine and enjoy a cold beer after a long day. The building is slightly skewed, which is evident on the stairs and even more so - in the flat itself. Coins roll off the floor, doors open wide because of gravity and you get the overall impression of being drunk on a ship, at stormy seas. It's not uncomfortable, but strange. There are moisture spots here and there in the bathroom, but nothing a little fresh paint would not cover in a heartbeat. The TV has no HDMI connection so you are limited to what's on the telly, not your Netflix or console.

• Ronald (8/5): Reasonably Priced Apartment Complex in Bochum - Our family of five (two couples and one child) stayed in two separate units at Abels Appartements. We were pleased with our 1-night stay, which was in conjunction with attending a performance of Starlight Express in Bochum. We appreciated the spacious, well-equipped apartments; readily available street parking; and most of all, the reasonable price. We also enjoyed two meals at a restaurant associated with the appartment complex and being able to use a city park adjacent to the apartment complex. We could hear the occupants of an adjacent apartment.
• Dylan (8/5): Very good - The apartment was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Public transit was also quite accessible, with a bus station taking you in a few stops to an S-Bahn stop. I also liked the restaurant downstairs, which was convenient after a long day. Definitely good value for the money.
