- RAMÓN (10/5): - El servicio del personal. Que no hay rampas hacia algunas zonas de playa, para adultos mayores (bajada a Barracuda).
- Michael (10/5): Pós e contras - Basicamente de tudo, menos da praia em frente. Praia muito pequena para banhar, e por mais que as águas sejam cristalinas, o fundo é barrento, não é areia de praia. Os restaurantes são excelentes, apesar de não serem acessíveis a todo momento e não terem self-service toda hora. A localização é boa para quem prefere passar o dia no resort, e é distante da zona hoteleira de fato e da agitação. É muito seguro, todas as dependências são muito limpas. Funcionários educados e prestativos, eventos no resort são bons, falta uma pessoa para instruir onde fica cada restaurante e bar. A piscina da cobertura devia ser aberta a todos, mas é exclusiva de sócios. Como mencionado anteriormente, a praia não é self-service, sendo que alguns restaurantes abrem à noite e só se pode entrar mais casualmente.

- Kimberley (6/5): Not for us - Nice room, good kids club Alcohol was cheap low quality, if you wanted the good quality alcohol you had to tip heavily every time. When I say good quality, apparently even Coronas weren’t easy to obtain. We were tricked into almost sitting through a sales presentation. After tipping the guy we thought was helping us have a nice stay and doing a general greeting service, we realised the motive behind this and cancelled the sales presentation of 1-2 hours! Be transparent about this!

The desserts were amazing, and the BBQ evening was awesome. Overall, the food was a very pleasant surprise and exceeded expectations. The hotel is also very clean, and the rooms are very comfortable with amazing views. The food and beverage staff across the restaurants, bars, and pool area were often unfriendly and very slow. Due to the building’s design, the kids’ splash area is located in a wind tunnel, making it almost unusable at times, as it is often windy and cold. The water in the pools and splash area could also be a bit warmer. In addition, the extra cost for spa access was a drawback, and the sales staff promoting vacation packages were somewhat persistent and distracting from the overall experience.

- SanjeevShan (8/5): A real treat near Playa Mujeres - Had a great time at this resort with my family! I'll start with the positives The staff. Wow. They are absolutely fantastic and became friends with them very quickly. Most were very attentive and smiled when they talked to you while they did their job. My special shoutouts where Enrique, Daniel, Cesar and Gabriela at the "La Plaza" bar. These guys always made sure our drinks were on point and were quick to help us out. The bartender Oscar, who served us at the beach and at the Rooftop Preferred Club bar, remembered by order from the first day and was always kind and helpful. And lastly, the gentleman in the picture I attached. I forgot his name(I think it was VICTOR) but he was amazing! Everytime we went to the beach, he would make sure there were seats for my wife and kids, checked how we were doing and even offered to clean my sunglasses because I always got them covered in salt residue from the ocean lol. He was exceptional and I always looked forward to seeing him during our daily beach visits. The food. The breakfast buffet was great! Good selection and I generally stuck with the Mexican cuisine but I had no complaints from the rest of my party about the rest of it. A La Carte restaurants were good, I enjoyed all the meals I had. Book in advance on the Hyatt app when you check-in. We didn't have a hard time finding dinner reservations but certain ones do get full faster. The hibachi experience was a lot of fun but you get a LOT of food so make sure everyone has their appetite, otherwise it's not worth it. The coffee bar was a lovely morning spot and it had a good carb offering Downsides. It gets very windy at that resort. And for whatever reason, the kids water area is in a shaded area with winds hitting it which made it not great for smaller kids to enjoy the water park. The property is all closed together, which is nice if you have babies and need to jet back to your room quickly but for me, it reminded me too much of a luxury condo rather than a resort in Mexico. Guess I'm used to places in Tulum. The other thing is that areas of the resort will suddenly not be available to use due to an event or a function. I get that weddings and events are popular at these spots, but that shouldn't be at the detriment of other guests. Otherwise, this resort was reasonably priced and fantastic service. I would recommend getting the preferred club just for the access to the rooftop alone. Restaurant and the infinite pool there are amazing.
- zabalak12 (4/5): Wonderful Wedding Experience MINUS ADVENTURE PHOTOS! - This is a follow up review to specifically address the poor customer service and product delivery of the photo company associated with the Dreams Resort. To be clear, I wrote an initial review of our entire experience following our dream wedding in September. This follow up review specifically addresses the photography company that you are required to use if you purchase a wedding package. Outside of the photography company, everything else was great, including the videography. The photographer at the wedding was good. He took plenty of photos, both set up and candid. I did not feel that there was much creativity behind the lense, but still the photos were just fine. The major frustrations started when we could not get a hold of anyone when we came home. They do not communicate with you, outside of collecting payment, of course. We have had to refer back to our wedding planner (she is amazing) to see if she could get in touch with the photograghy company because they do not respond to emails and you cannot get them to answer the phone. It has been 16 weeks since our wedding, 11 weeks since we selected our photographs and still no photo album. We were promised (after an "apology for the delay") that the album would be sent on Dec. 22nd and we never received tracking information, an email confirmation, nor any communication that it actually was sent. It is Dec. 31st and still no photo album. It is very disappointing that I have to write this review because everything else was so wonderful. Dreams, this photography company is hurting your reputation. :(

Shows are weird but you can see that they are trying. Don’t give a beach bag for preferred club. Shower was nice. Food was ok but you learn very quickly that this is a Four Diamond which is very different from their Five Diamond. It was a very different experience.

- kathrynrM6536UY (4/5): Horrible stay for groups-food poisoning alert - *food poisoning caution* Horrible experience over Christmas at dreams vista. Everyone in our group had food poisoning by the second day with symptoms (constant diarrhea) lasting the entire week. We are currently awaiting results from the stool samples we had to give arriving home still symptomatic. Our room was missing the bathroom door and half of the toiletries. The open concept bathroom made it extremely unpleasant when the food poisoning hit. The beach at the resort is tiny and horrible, and covered in seaweed. It's hard to get a chair by the pool or beach. There are rarely clean towels available outside. We travelled with 3 other families and it was impossible to get reservations at the restaurants for groups of more than 4 people at a time. The hyatt app to book reservations is impossible to use and there is no functional concierge at this hotel. Consequently we could not dine or enjoy evenings together, including Christmas eve. They constantly pressured us to buy tables for events or different weird and unnecessary upgrades. They pressured us into attending the marketing pitch for the ultimate vacation club and it is a huge waste of time with uncomfortable pressure from the sales people. Stay away from this property - it's a complete waste of money.
- E6400MEstevens (6/5): Average. - Pretty basic hotel/resort. Here is a quick review. Check in smooth but could be more staff on hand to handle guests arriving late Rooms. Probably the best part of the resort. Big with nice beds and all rooms face ocean/golf course. Also make sure to check sheets as even after being changed we found stains on new bedding. Food is basic. Breakfast buffet is pretty good. Restaurant reservation system through the app is not that great as there are never times available but then you go and there are many empty tables. Biggest beef is extra charges for certain restaurants. Like Japanese hibachi. They charge additional $100 US just to watch someone cook your food. Pool. Nice but like every resort people wake up at sunrise to reserve chairs. The staff try to enforce 45 min rule but difficult to do. Beach. Nice but very small. Staff do a good job of clearing seaweed all day but not that big to walk and explore. Golf. Looked nice. Did t play as they wanted $180 US FOR 9 holes. (It is $200 for 18) plus club rentals minimum $50. Grounds. Very small. Gated and secure but not a lot of area to go and walk around. Staff. Best part. Very friendly and helpful but thinly stretched. Took 20 minutes to get a volleyball. Victor by the pool/beach was amazing. Even provided cleaning for your sunglasses and did everything he could to find open chairs. VIP services are a scam just trying to get you to spend more money. Spa services usually discounted already and coupons can’t be used with existing discount. Checkout was ok but counter staff couldn’t be bothered to get different machine for VISA and would only take Amex. Would we go back? Probably not. I think there are bigger nicer properties with more amenities for same price.

Don’t hesitate to get the Preferred Club reservation for access to the adults only rooftop pool and restaurants. Kendor, the best waiter, served us smiles and drink all day long. The views here are spectacular. We loved all of the restaurants with the Italian probably our favorite (Bluewater Grill also great as was Himitsu !) Grabbing sushi or tacos or hamburgers or ice cream & coffee midday was wonderful! The activities were plentiful. All staff were friendly and helpful - honestly could not have had a better experience.
- H7342LQdonnan (4/5): Beautiful Resort but Disappointing Experience - While the resort itself is beautiful and the master ocean front suite, had amazing views, the all-inclusive experience was lackluster. The property is smaller than other all-inclusive properties, we anticipated there would be limitations to food options, amenities, and activities. Yet we left dissatisfied with service, organization, and communication. The resort app is not up to date. Locations, services, and pricing listed online did not match what we were told in person. We had issues confirming dinner reservations, and multiple restaurant hostess would not make in person reservations even when we told them about the app issues. We ended up paying for an up-charged dinner experience to secure a nice dinner that’s not buffet quality. The app would also provide the incorrect hours when some places were closed, and it did not provide locations for all amenities so we had to spend more time walking around the property. Clear signs around the property would have helped, we only saw them inside the elevators and even that needed to be updated because the preferred club lounge moved locations. Communication was also very frustrating. We were told to come in the morning to make a spa reservation, but when we did, we were informed there was no availability. This made us change our plans during our stay. When we made a tequila tasting booking online, we needed to reschedule and were directed in many different locations by different staff members to find the experience team, I don’t think anybody truly knew where to locate them and I don’t understand why they could not get called to the front desk. Even after rescheduling, the team somehow lost the updated signed ticket and at check-out, they tried to double charge. Lastly, the service was underwhelming. Many staff did not feel particularly friendly or welcoming. It often felt that attentive service was only provided when paying extra for up-charged dining or activities. I unfortunately would not recommend staying here. I have stayed at several other resorts within a similar or cheaper budget that offered far better service, organization, and overall guest experience.
- 799kristinl (10/5): Solid Choice with Kids - Very solid all-inclusive option. We stayed from Dec. 11-18th and had a great time with our children, ages 2 and 4. The kids club is 3+, so my younger son could only join in for parent-supervised activities, but our 4 year old wanted to go all the time! Resort staff was awesome with the kids. I would not recommend the resort for those travelling without children, as there were lots and not many entertainment/lounge areas after 9pm. We had no issues with the food. Dinner buffet seemed lacking, but we were able to get a la carte reservations no problem for most of our stay. Service at the Mexican restaurant on our second visit was awful - took over an hour to get any food. They definitely need to increase the number of servers in the a la cartes. We did not try the teppanyaki as the fee didn't seem resonable for us. Drinks were great as well. Room service/housekeeping was better than any resort I've stayed at. All our requests were filled promptly. We ordered several additional nespresso pods, and we were always given more than we asked for. The nespresso machine was AWESOME. Gym was good, lots of equipment and beautiful views. Beds were a good size, and we had no trouble getting extra linens when required. Yes, the beach is small but it was clean and calm for kids. We never had an issue finding chairs. Overall, if you are expecting a 5 star Four Seasons or Ritz, this is not that. It is a solid, smaller resort for families.

Preferred club is a must if you are a couple travelling without kids. Lots of kids on the first and second floor which makes it very noisy. The rooftop access makes a huge difference. We loved the Bluewater Grill restaurant on the rooftop. The staff was amazing. Loved the Asian restaurant. We were disappointed in the Italian and Vista Prime restaurants. Brace yourself in talking to the VIP Service staff, they are very pushy to get you to sign up for the info session. The beach is very small, we knew this upon booking. We did not swim in it. We stayed on the rooftop most of the time. We were on the 11th floor. Room 1115 is right above the gym. If you don’t mind hearing the weights dropping as of 7am, then good. We asked to change room and got relocated to 1108 and it was much better. Very clean, big room and the view is amazing.

My husband has dietary restrictions that required assistance for each meal. We were concerned how it would be handled but should not have been. The staff at each of the restaurants made the required accommodations so that meal times were enjoyable. A special shout out to Assistant Food & Beverage Manager - Mario, the World Cafe Captain, Carlos Yepez and the Meseros - Enrique, Gabriel, Jesus and Nicholas and Himitsu’s Marianna. Our overall experience was great and we plan to return next year. I have already recommended Dreams Vista Cancun to numerous friends and associates.

- Davie65 (8/5): Good choice for couples and families with well behaved kids. - This is a good AI with food that is better than most. Not in the Hotel zone. We stayed in a preferred club with a plunge pool. These types of rooms are on floors 2 and 12. Our original room was on floor 2, but most of these rooms are located between the lobby and the elevator, so there was a lot of noise from people passing by. After the 1st night they moved us to the same room on floor 12 and it was much quieter. Like a lot of these types of hotels sound proofing is not that good due to the concrete construction. The bed was very firm, which seems to be normal in Mexico. We did not use the plunge pools as much as we usually would have as the roof top pool was quite comfortable with available chairs. I think the preferred club is worth the extra due to the roof top pool, the reserved beach area, and the ability to have breakfast at bluewater, which was always good and much better than the buffet. We ate at all the restaurants and they were good with good service and drinks. The only disappointing was the Italian, where our food was cold, but others said the pizza was good. As an Albertan I should have learned by now never to order a steak outside of Alberta as it will be disappointing. One thing we liked is that there was not too much partying at night and no loud pool music. The beach is relatively small with some seaweed. They don't seem to mention it but there is a free boat that goes to the Island on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but you have to sign up for it on the day with the app. The app worked fine for most things and wi-fi was good. They even had some Canadian TV channels.

We only came here for the golf and how close it was to the course, otherwise, I would have listened to the reviews. The ones who say it’s amazing, clearly have very low standards or haven’t been to many AI before. The food was pretty good. The service was okay at best. I felt most times I was annoying the staff. The housekeeping and mini bar just grew worse everyday of our stay and we continually had to ask for things. If you are introverted or enjoy personal space, this resort is not for you. Like I said, I would have listened to the bad reviews had it not been for the golf. The beach is non-existent and if you enjoy walking on the beach, this is not the place, you can maybe walk five minutes in each direction on very unkempt beaches. If you’re not up at the crack of dawn saving chairs, again good luck. Upgrading to preferred is such a complete joke because it felt like everyone is. Even the rooftop good luck trying to find space if you weren’t there by 8 am (which is also before it’s open)! Just frustrated. Never have I spent so much time in my room just to have space to relax. It’s also in the middle of nowhere, so you’re very secluded with nowhere to really go. I think it’s more for short stays as opposed to a week long. People giving it such high ratings is crazy to me. I am usually pretty easy to please and keep my expectations based on where I am, but this is not a five star resort and not once did I feel like I was in the “preferred club” because we stayed at dreams sands last year and thought we would get the same level of service, clearly not. Listen to the bad reviews because they are not lying about the things they are saying!

Our teen sons were bored, the only teen programming was the lounge which closed early and pool volleyball in the shady/cold pool. The Preferred Club is a waste of money at this resort. The lounge is not welcoming and is very small. No one monitors the preferred club part of the beach. The rooftop pool is nice but if you’re traveling with kids it’s difficult to enjoy it. There wasn’t a great space to hang out with the kids after sunset.

Although the staff is very friendly, we called multiple times leading up to our reservation to be sure our rooms were connected. For medical reasons I need a family member in close proximity. Not only did they brush off the requests each time we called, when we arrived they placed on separate floors. Two floors in-between us. The lack of effort to even try to adjust things was super disappointing and Unfourtunately this was our first experience with the hotel. I can tell we won’t be back already. Again, the staff is friendly, but the front desk lacks follow through with serious requests like these ones. If you need to be close to a family member please just pick a different resort. Also, when I asked if I could upgrade to preferred status, I was denied. My status as a Hyatt member was also ignored by the front desk and the bathroom has a really strong sewage smell. If I could go home or find a new resort right now I would immediately. But we have already paid. It’s just a little clunky. Also, the champagne glasses they gave us when we arrived were extremely scratched around the rim. Like visibly multiple scratches to the point I thought the glass was dirty. If you have medical needs, need to be near family or just want a top notch luxury experience—I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I did call corporate to express my concerns, but I wouldn’t even bother with booking this resort again.

When I arrived, there was underwear left behind by previous guests, the beach is only 2 meters wide and in terrible condition, and it was incredibly noisy all the time. Considering the price, I do not recommend it.

We were here to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday and my parents 45th wedding anniversary and he helped make it so special for us. Also a big thank you to the mescros: Enrique l, Jesus, Gabriel and Avenamar. I also wanted to leave a review for the wonderful cleaning staff, especially Ana de Llaves who put up banners for us saying happy anniversary or happy birthday and decorated our room with roses and a card or coffee beans. She was truly amazing! I hope you get to read this Ana- from all of us, truly thank you!!! All the staff were amazing and so hard working. We also enjoyed the during experience a lot and our kids and us truly loved how patient and talented the surf teacher was with us. All in all, was a wonderful holiday. Thank you!

The food was exceptional at Blue Water Grill and Prime and even the Buffet! Great drinks - friendly and attentive staff. No problem getting a beach chair or towel at any time of day! amazing pool. Beach is without seaweed but is not too big- alos has hammocks out in the water for refreshing rexaltion. Great place for kids - they snorkled and surfed. Lots of food options for children. Highly recommend Dreams Vista.
- S1217OVandrewh (8/5): Memorable Chaos - We just returned from a 7 day vacation from Dreams. We travelled with 2 other families so it was 6 adults and 5 kids all under 6. Overall we had a great time for what we paid but there were some ups and downs. Downs: I emailed a head of time that it was going to be my wife's 40th birthday. Besides her getting a bracelet from someone, nothing else that was supposed to be done was done such as a birthday banner on our door and no free beach bag when one of the couples in our group, who also had a birthday received the bag? Pretty disappointed that even a simple banner could not be put up and I was told the bag was for larger suites or honeymoon suites although our friends were in the exact style of room as ours. Because we were still having a good time it wasn't a huge enough deal to fuss about while we were there...but still disappointing. The dinner and lunch buffet was a little repetitive and the burgers at lunch were great but for those who like their burgers cooked well, go elsewhere as they were pretty raw even when asking! The app and making reservations was very hit or miss so we had concierge do it for us as we were such a large party. We did run into lost reservations for a few nights but they scrambled to make it work. Weird void in the lunch and dinner schedule as a couple of times we were scrambling to feed our kids at 5 when the buffet only opens at 6. It is windy in certain spots! The sliding glass doors and the room doors were a menace for our children! Be very careful with the room doors when your balcony is open - they are heavy and slam shut. Our friends daughter almost lost her finger the first night! The pools are not heated and the kids play side is in the shade most of the day and is freezing. There's a third elevator but wasn't in service - that would have minimized the long wait times and packed boxes! Our fridge wasn't stocked for 3 days and we had to finally call. Cleaning was okay but they cleaned our room when we didn't request it sometimes. Beach is small and rocky. The "FREE" trip to Isla Majeures is a bit of a joke as you have to book it at midnight and apparently it's just a tiny boat and wouldn't have accommodated a group of our size - we found this out the next day when we asked. Almost like getting Taylor Swift tickets! Ups: Rooms were nice and clean. View was good and the shower was fantastic - great pressure and warm/hot water on demand. Beach was small but still decent. Kids had fun but wanted to hang by the pool instead. Fresh towels were consistently available. Pool, although cold, was great once you got used to it and there were enough chairs if you grabbed them early enough. Some dinners were pretty good. Vista Prime was very good and we went there twice. I can't remember his name but we had the same waiter twice and he took great care of us - kept the White Russian's flowing! The other restaurants were decent as well but with having 5 kids in our party sometimes they took way too long to bring out our food and our kids were going bananas - sorry for anyone that was near us on those nights! One of the couples in our party like the Asian restaurant. Bar service and drinks were generally good. The roof top bar made the most potent drinks and used higher quality Tequila! Kids club was used a couple of times and that place was better than our daycares here in Canada - that was great as the adults got some adult time! They give you pucks similar to restaurant reservations that vibrate and light up when it's time to grab your kids or if there's any issues. Coffee bar was good. Shows were decent. My daughter loved the fire show. A little more variety would have been nice and locations were a little cramped. It's a 10 minute walk to the ferry going to Isla Majeures. I'm on the fence if preferred club is really worth it when travelling with kids, but we did have fun overall.

- alexandramP8522XW (8/5): Quiet Family Friendly Stay - I stayed here in Jan. 2025 with a group of 7, myself, partner, and his family (including a baby). We had 3 rooms, and were not Preferred Club. Overall I had a pleasant time, but it felt like the resort was very kid-focused. It was quiet and calm, with very pleasant staff. Decor is modern and the property is spotless. Because there are limited adult-only sections and not much nightlife at the resort or nearby, I wouldn't return here again unless I had children with me between 2-12. Pros: - The resort is very nice, modern, chic & clean. One of the best features is every room has an ocean view! - One of the nicest rooms I've stayed in, spacious & beautiful design - The food is good, our favourite restaurants were the Mexican cuisine Mi Lucrecia, and the preferred club level Vista Prime & Blue Water Grill. The buffet also has lots of options and very attentive staff! - Staff were always extremely pleasant, in the restaurants they were happy to give recommendations, and the entertainment team had great energy every day! - I only had to wait for a towel once during the entire stay! Staff keeps it well stocked and are quick to refresh. - Location is outside of downtown Cancun and the Hotel Zone, but is a short drive away. It is only about 20 minutes from the airport. Cons: - Housekeeping was very hit or miss on our floor. Our family (on a lower floor) had their mini bars restocked daily without asking, while ours was not restocked once, despite us requesting via the resort app. Some days the whole room would be cleaned, and the next only the bed would be remade. - There is only one (very long) pool, and one small jacuzzi for non-Preffered Club guests. The pool is heated but was still too cold to enjoy in early January when the weather was between 21-24 celsius. A warmer temperature would have been nice, especially because the beach is so small. - The Italian restaurant left a lot to be desired - skip this unless you have children with you who are picky eaters, and enjoy bland food. - The beach is very narrow and there are very limited chairs. - We had one rainy day, and there didn't seem like there was entertainment options outside of our room except for KidzClub. - Could hear our neighbours through the wall on one side of the room. - Some days we were allowed to eat at Preferred Club guest restaurants and some days we were not - this caused some headaches - Drink service at dinner was very slow - sometimes upwards of 20 minutes waiting on cocktails or glasses of wine. Personal Gripes: - We celebrated my birthday towards the end of our stay, and thought we would get some special perks (cake at dinner, banner on the door). We had told the check-in desk and concierge desk when my birthday was, and we called the concierge again on the day. Our neighbour had had a birthday banner on their door for 4 days at this point, and we thought they would add one to ours. y partner called the concierge and asked if they could put up a banner, and they Later at dinner (BBQ theme night) we had an embarrassing moment when the entertainment team asked if there was someone with my name who had a birthday, I raised my hand as they brought out a piece of cake with sparklers - it was not for me but for someone with the same name & birthday. The entertainment team did their best to make it not awkward, and sang happy birthday to the both of us. We had told the host that it was my birthday, and we had seen other guests receive birthday cake with dinner all week, but no cake was brought to me at dinner, so we left feeling confused and embarrassed. When we returned to the room there was a small piece of cheesecake left for us, along with the Happy Birthday banner. - I'm not sure if this is user error, and if we were supposed to book these birthday surprises ahead of time. - One night my partner and I tried to go to Vista Prime, a Preferred Club guest only restaurant. We had been earlier in the week, so we thought the app was wrong and that it was open to all guests. We were refused at the door and told it was indeed for PC guests only - fair enough... except the rest of our party (also NOT PC guests) were sitting down eating at Vista Prime as we were being turned away. This left a sour taste in my mouth. . Tips: - Not all restaurants are open every day - check the app and make reservations if possible.

We loved the Italian restaurant! The servers are always very attentive. David was great while we were at the pool! Ada with cleaning left our room spotless and well stocked and Erik with entertainment in the evenings was fun and always remembered our group of 12! The beach space is limited but have beautiful views. Overall the staff there is very friendly. Plenty of activities for the whole family. The rooftop grill restaurant is amazingly beautiful and food is great too!! I would definitely recommend this all inclusive hotel stay!

As soon as you get out of the tranfer van and take 10 steps you're met with one of the most breath taking views. The food was elite but the service was better. Everyone going above and beyond. I have never been treated so well in all of my travels. - Carlsheff37 (10/5): Nice hotel, Amazing entertainments team - We stayed for 2 weeks in mid November and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are big, clean & modern with beautiful views of the ocean, golf course and the hotel zone in the distance. There are 4 a la carte restaurants, 3 by the pool and 1 on the rooftop. Prima is only available if you upgrade your stay. Service could be a little slow at times but the food quality was generally excellent with Himitsu being our clear favourite. There was also a buffet option but we prefer to eat at the restaurants, but I would say that the food quality, on most lunchtimes was excellent at the buffet. There’s also a lovely little coffee shop with great staff and good coffee. If you want a coffee, grab it from here. There’s a nice gym with great views, pickleball & a surf machine, everyday at 4pm and a good entertainments and activity programme. The pool area is vast and nice and the pool staff are all really friendly & helpful, but on many occasions there are no beds available as people would reserve with towels from 7.30am, not to be seen until 2 hours later, if at all. The hotel really need to stop this. Especially with the size of some of the families & groups staying there. There is a rooftop pool but again, only if you upgrade your stay. And the beach area is only small, again with an upgrade section. The best part of this hotel is the entertainments team. They really are EXCELLENTE!! And a real credit to the hotel. They made us smile everyday and always take time out of their the day to talk to everyone and encourage people to take part in activities, throughout the whole day & night. Rubi, Samir, Irene, Zeus & Eric, Thankyou for making our holiday so much fun 🤩 We usually choose adults only and this hotel is missing some nice adult zones (there is one bar on floor 16) and whilst the beach area is pretty, it’s small and you cannot walk either side of the hotel, so we missed our evening beach strolls. All secrets & dreams hotels have upgrade options but this hotel would be much better if all of the hotel amenities where available to everyone as it needs 1 or 2 more restaurants and another (quieter) pool area. The other frustration for us was there are a lot of weddings which impacts access to certain things with the biggest impact probably being to the evening entertainment which is much more impressive on the main stage, but moved around the hotel to accommodate weddings. The hotel itself is stunning – modern, well maintained, and beautifully designed with breathtaking ocean views from almost every corner. The food was outstanding. The World Café buffet offered a huge variety each day, always fresh and flavorful. We also enjoyed the à-la-carte restaurants – Italian, Mexican, Japanese, plus an adults-only restaurant – all easy to book and truly enjoyable. There was something for everyone, including our kids, who happily tried dishes from all over the world. One of my personal highlights was the beach yoga in the palapa (Palapa by the beach). Practicing surrounded by the sound of the waves and a gentle sea breeze was the perfect way to start the day. Their yoga instructor was an absolute gem – warm, skilled, and inspiring. Even on days we didn’t leave the resort, we were never bored. The entertainment team put so much energy into creating fun, action-filled days. Our kids loved the surf lessons, while I enjoyed the dance classes and evening shows. Every activity felt thoughtfully organized and full of joy. A special shout-out to Erik, Zamir, Robert, Zeus, Irene, and Rubi – thank you deeply for your constant smiles, kindness, and for bringing so much happiness to our holiday. You all made such a difference with your positive energy and genuine warmth. This was also the first resort where both of our kids kept asking when they could go back to the kids club – that says it all. The Explorer Club was incredibly creative, offering everything from Pirate Day, dino egg discoveries, scavenger hunts, and so much more. It was engaging, safe, and truly exciting for them. For exploring beyond the resort, we found it easy to get around using Uber. We visited beautiful spots like Isla Mujeres and Playa del Carmen for day trips, which were all manageable and added great variety to the week. Overall, Dreams Vista Cancun is a fantastic choice for families who want great food, unforgettable entertainment, a caring kids’ club, and a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. We would happily return – especially for the incredible staff who made our experience so special. Highly recommended!

- donlee81 (8/5): Stay at Cancun Dreams Vista - 1/2 hour drive from airport was good Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff Rooms very roomy and clean Food very good with multiple options Buffet not very good - small with minimal options for the size of the hotel. One morning, it was a 1/2 hour or more wait to get it. No A/C either. Beach is very small, stoney and you have to go down a dozen stairs to get to it. Swimming pool long and narrow with lounge beds on both sides. The side furthest away from the may walkway was narrow so if you had a walker, you not only could not get down to the area, but there was no where to go once you did. With multiple weddings there, for a few days, all lounge chairs were taken. Not for seniors or people with accessibility issues - accessible washrooms had no grab bars, showers had no grab bars, stairs had no railing in the preferred area (rooftop) We paid $25/day for preferred which gave us rooftop privileges; i.e., restaurant, swimming pool, lounge area. For most of the time, the pool wasn't accessible and for all of the time you felt like you were at a disco. Music terrible and loud. No opportunity to hold a conversation or quietness to read. What we found out was that if you were a member of Hyatt, every guest you brought to the hotel was given preferred status; hence, with the multiple weddings there, we had minimal access to the swimming pool due to crowding. Had we known this, we would not have paid the extra. Would we go back...definitely not.
- JenniferS75 (10/5): Perfect vacation! Shoutout to Zamir from the entertainment team! - We had an amazing time at the dreams vista (preferred room). I think this is the perfect resort for a family with young children (mine are 5 and 7). The kids club is just amazing!! All the girls working there are so sweet and the activities are so much fun for little kids, they never wanted to leave. It also feels very safe. While the girls were at the kids club, we could enjoy the adult only amenities such as the free hydrotherapy at the spa that comes with the room and the rooftop pool. The food is delicious, our favorite restaurant was the italian restaurant. We also enjoyed the complimentary boat ride to isla mujeres, what a fun offering! The waiters and servers are super nice, a special shout out to Jesus and Edgar at the buffet. Brian and his friend (i’m sorry i forgot his name) were also always ready to bring our drinks by the pool. Finally, a special shout out to Zamir from the entertainment team that was always smiling and full of energy. He is an amazing surf wave instructor and by the end of the week, I could take the wave all by myself! He was so encouraging! The climbing wall was also lots of fun! So many things to do at this resort! All in all, a perfect vacation! Thanks to the whole team!

Just not for anyone looking for an Adults Only experience. - I would like to begin this review by stating it is a last minute replacement for an Adults Only Jamaica vacation cancelled due to Hurricane Melissa. We didn’t have time to do much research. What we did see, we liked. Our reception was very nice. Our bags were placed on a trolley and we were whisked away to the preferred check in desk. Check in was quick and were soon being escorted to our room. We were advised that due to the late hour, our only option for food was room service. As soon as we were somewhat settled, we did place an online order with room service. We were warned hit it could take forty-five minutes to an hour for our order to arrive. It actually took an hour and a half. The waiter had a cart full when he arrived. Our food was pretty cold but we were very hungry. It filled a spot and we soon turned in. The bed was very comfortable and we quickly fell asleep. The following morning we went to the buffet for breakfast. I’m sorry to say the buffet was a great disappointment. The French toast had a good flavour, but was warm at best. The bacon was overdone and the scrambled eggs were watery. The beach was wonderful. Perhaps more chairs are needed but I thoroughly enjoyed the thatched umbrella over each pair of chairs. The water was calm and clear. Maybe not as warm as I would have liked but that is something no one can control. We spent the day at the beach. My husband was able to snorkel right from the beach. He was thrilled. We booked the Preferred Club’s Bluewater Grill for supper. We both ordered the Braised Short Ribs. They were very good, although my husband wished there were more sides. Back in our room, we were able to listen to the soloist from our balcony. It was lovely. The next morning and every morning thereafter we ate at the Bluewater. The meals were good but a little inconsistent. The Bluewater Florentines were absolutely delicious that first morning but only good the next time I had them. We booked a different specialty restaurant every night. The food was absolutely wonderful. From chicken Parm at Portofino to Shrimp in Chipotle and Epazote sauce at Mi Lucrecia. Do remember to order your sides at Vista Prime. But maybe give the mashed potatoes a miss. Our room was refreshed every day, but again little inconsistencies. One day, they forgot to replenish our coffee pods. Another day, they didn’t replace the dirty coffee cups. On our fourth night, we had turn down service. First and last time. Otherwise, the room were perfect. The only downside, at least for us, was the amount of children. Everywhere from newborn to teens. Not the quiet vacation we had originally planned for Jamaica. Our fault for not doing more research. If you plan on vacationing with your children or grandchildren, this is the place for you. Otherwise, keep looking. The rooftop became our salvation. When the hustle and bustle of families got to be too much for us, we would retreat to the roof. We always try to ignore the negative aspects of any holiday we go on. We enjoyed ourselves and would return to the area. Just not to this particular resort
- kimlE7812BK (4/5): Not a Dream - Booked this hotel for my husbands 60th and to say disappointed is an understatement. I don't know where it gets its fantastic reviews from because it was far from fantastic. We travelled from UK 10hrs plus the 3hrs at airport before, after leaving the airport in Mexico our 40min journey was fine on arrival at the hotel check in was smooth. I asked about upgrading to preferred guest as I wanted to use the adult only pool on the rooftop. We were told $1800 to which i said no we will leave it for the guy to then go into full on let me see what we can do blah blah blah. He got it down to $700 which at the exchange rate was about £530 for two weeks for two people and a supposedly better room we accepted. He then went on to explain what we got for the money ( not much extra tbh) and I thought he said go with Rhena or something similar who I thought was taking us to our room but proceeded to take us to the balcony outside the reception and start flogging unlimited vacation holidays! Now this is NOT what we needed after a long journey i said are you trying to sell timeshare to which the lady said no its different its unlimited vacation ( same different wording) she asked us to join someone for breakfast and gave us some discount vouchers we agreed so we could just get to our room. We didn't go to the breakfast sales pitch and when we saw her and she started on the speil of my boss ask where you are we said we aren't interested and kept walking. Things didn't get much better the adult only preferred guests pool if you weren't there at 9am then you didnt get a spot and most of the beds are under shade so no suntan the others were on the edge of the pool in the water. We got turned away as it was full! The preferred guest area on the small stretch if beach was taken by anyone and the wooden walkway at the side of the beach had sunbeds you cant lie down on. Now drinks and food....drinks were supposed to be top shelf international brands but im not sure they were but cant definitely say I just know the captain Morgan and JD didn't taste the same as home as didn't the malibu ( I tried a variety of what I like at home) The food was at some restaurants passable but the buffet was one of the worst we've eaten at. The only hot thing we had was the soup the rest were tepid at best. The Italian i had calamari and it was like chewing a rubbish we r band and the lasagne was not nice at all the steakhouse ( preferred guests only) was the best for drinks and food but even then the bbq ribs were like leather. Oh and the amount of weddings I think we had one nearly every day and then when that happened you weren't allowed in the area even got kicked off tithe beach one day at 2.30pm Private function signs at beach bar at veranda bar at rooftop pool area it was ridiculous. Oh and in the second week they shut the food plaza for renovations so drilling banging and all food out in the sun at the wall of the building. To say it was poor is an understatement so if you like nice holidays with decent food and some nightlife then go to the river maya area as we weren't even in the hotel zone in cancun ( my fault I should have checked) our best evening was paying for a cab to the marina and getting the best food of the holiday. Not a dream hotel more of a nightmare tbh save your money.

- donnamE1406DK (10/5): Excellent! Food, service and staff were great! - This resort is great. I highly recommend you upgrade to Preferred Level. It is worth the extra. We were not big fans of the buffet but with Preferred Club, you don’t need to go to the buffet. All a la carte restaurants were quite good. Our favourites were the Bluewater Grill and The Italian- Portofino. Daily breakfast and lunch at the Bluewater Grill is exclusive to Preferred members. Our waiters- Geyler and Mario were awesome - friendly, and accommodating. The rooftop pool is nice and relatively quiet. Jorge and Iris served us Drinks and poolside lunch. They were both awesome and very hard working. ALL staff have been great. Food is delicious with tons of variety. One negative that must be addressed is the mashed potatoes in Vista Prime Steakhouse. They are terrible and should be changed to fresh mashed potatoes or baked potatoes. The addition of sautéed mushrooms would be very well received. All in all a wonderful holiday. We will be back.

They also remembered our order and always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their colleagues Mario, Richard also ensured we didn’t need anything whenever they would pas by us despite not being our assigned server. Would highly recommend.

- Ianto999 (8/5): Lots of pros, a few cons - There are plenty of good things to say about Dreams Vista but one or two points that could be improved so I’ll do my best to sum up what I thought of the resort Positives: Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, special shout out to Vitor and his colleagues at the beach, nothing too much trouble Rooms are spacious and well equipped, big beds, nice seating area, huge bathrooms and lovely balconies (we were on floor 9 with a great view) Nice big pool, busy but never failed to get a sunbed Good buffet, buffets often let hotels down but this is well run, the food is fresh and the service good Spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout Negatives Along way from anywhere else, so it’s easy to get confined to the resort and end up suffering from cabin fever Lots and lots of weddings which in turn mean lots and lots of private functions taking up large areas of the hotel which are then out of bounds to other guests Very quiet later on, Sports Bar has some life but generally of the 20-30 North American variety So a nice stay, nice people but maybe somewhere more in the middle of things next time
