Value for money even for kiwis( dollar so bad) There were stairs which I didn’t mind, 2 flights to upstairs bedroom but if you are adverse to these be aware.

• Gérard (9/5): Top für einen kurzaufenthalt in Split - Wunderbare Unterkunft in wenigen Gehminuten direkt in der Stadt absolut Spitzenklasse. Es hat alles was es braucht. Auch die Distanz zu Marjan Park war optimal. Parkplatz ist wirklich ein Problem. Die Gassen sind so schmal das kam ein Auto durchkommt um liegend an den Strassen zu parkieren ist eine Möglichkeit aber sicher nicht optimal. Da kann aber die Unterkunft nichts dafür.

Only one of the two TV remotes (satellite receiver & TVset) contained batteries. The house's staircase lamps were not working and also 2 or 3 of the indoor lights.

• Antonio (6/5): Deluxe was only the location. Bad Price/Value Ratio. - Central Location and free car parking on the street close to the accomodation The internet was not working properly. Very bad connection. Internet not usable. The bathroom including the toilet is very small and the TV is not a SmartTV, so no Netflix, Youtube or so ever. You can hear the neighbours and the door to the building all the time, since they pass through the main corridor, which is excatly next to the entry door of the room. Only one small trash bucket in the bathroom.

• Conor (9/5): We had two days in Split, this was an ideal location, close to the town. - Great location, really close to the centre of Split, well presented and maintained. Nothing, really lovely.
• Timothy (8/5): - This is a nice property, accurate in the description and photos. We stayed for one night. It was fine, but there are two things to note that may or may not be important to a traveller. First, while the location is very convenient for walking, it is quite inconvenient if you have a car. It is very difficult to get to the apartment with a car to drop bags, and then it is even more difficult to find parking. We ended up parking in the city parking lot and walking back to the apartment, about 8 minutes, which was ok but not ideal. Second, the street level apartment uses strong air fresheners, presumably to make it smell better. You can't easily open the windows because they are right where people walk, so you have to deal with the chemical odour. It's not great, and for some people would be intolerable if you are sensitive to fragrances. It's also dark and low ceilinged, making it feel like a basement unit even though it's technically not below ground. The upstairs apartment is better, but also has that same air freshener smell though not as intense. You could probably open the windows in that unit to get some fresh air.

First we struggled to get in. It took 1,5 hours before they picked up the phone and let us in. Apparently they had sent an sms in the morning and asked what time we would arrive but since the initial information here at hotels.com said an email with instructions would arrive I only checked my emails and missed the sms (I was on the flight with phone in flightmood when it was sent). So partly my own misstake. Secondly, in the evening when we prepared the sofabed we discovered we only had two pillows and three sets of towels to be shared by us four. I sent them an sms and 2 hours later, when we were already asleep we got a reply with information that more pillows could be found under the master bed. This morning we woke up early since one of the blinds in the bedroom is broken and the morning sun is shining bright directly in our faces. The free wifi we haven’t been able to use. We have asked for the password but has not got any reply. We have no information about how to check out today. But location is great (except for parking), the appartment nice and clean and you have all equipment you may need.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay! - The stay was exactly what we needed! We had to pop into town for 1-2 nights and were looking for an economic and friendly option. This unit was simple and had everything you needed! The host was also very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!

More than enough plates, glasses, mugs etc. There was coffee and tea, shampoo and so on provided by the host, very convenient. The location was very nice too, walking distance to all the attractions and split port. Very friendly host, easy to communicate with. Overall we were happy to stay here. - funky smell coming out of the AC unit in the dining area - missing window blinds in the bedroom, it got bright around 5 AM so our kids were up too :s - none of the remotes for TV were working (but maybe that's for the best, though, kids had enough screen time already)
• Jan (10/5): - Villa Daky is a professionally renovated house in the historic center of Split, with high-quality amenities and suitable for a multi-day stay of a family of four. Very short walking distance to Split harbor/marina promenade with multiple excellent dining options and good shopping. Also very close (5 min walk) to Teraca Vidilica, a terrace with great views of Split and very nice restaurant with open air seating.

Really good location just a few mins walk into the old town. The wifi wasn’t working when we arrived but our hosts fixed that quickly, they were really helpful and communicated really well. Good space for 2 people The room is below the street level, so the 2 windows cannot actually be opened, unless you are ok with watching people's waists and chests, and them looking straight on your bed. Because of this, the room is extremely humid. Nobody has ever opened the windows... There is a big stain of humidity right next to the bed, poorly covered with plastic. At night I could smell the mould (not very healthy), and our towels and swimming suits never got dry. Forget about sleeping in, or sleeping early in the evening. We heard all the people talking in the street and all the motorbike delivering food to the other apartments.

• Elena (6/5): nice room for 2 people max if you need to stay the night in Split - location was good, lovely room for 2, max for 2 adults and 1 child the windows in the picture cannot actually be opened as they are right into a busy street at a ground level. so if you don’t mind a room without windows or people straight into your room, you will like it. it is very small, it is actually tiny and when you pull the second bed out of the wall, there is literally no space.

• Lisa (5/5): It was OK, could be better - The location was great! In only 5 minutes, you're in the city center surrounded by many restaurants, grocery and gelato stores, and even the haven. It is the perfect spot as you can go back to your accommodation for a pit stop or just to relax when you're tired of walking around the city. The host seemed friendly and helpful when communicating via WhatsApp and replied fast. The room was VERY small. We were with a total of four persons, and if the bed was rolled out of the wall, there was barely space left to walk, especially with each of us having a(n open) suitcase on the ground.. (the clothing area was very small). I would not recommend this stay for a longer period, but maybe only for one/two nights. We stayed for 7 nights, which was way too long in this cramped up space. Additionally, as the room is so small, it gets dirty quite easily, and Villa Daky only grants you one clean-up day where they vacuum, give you new towels and fill in on supplies (however, our beds weren't cleaned up even though they said it would). While the air-conditioning worked well, we've noticed that when it was on a low stance, some kind of weird smell would come out of it. We went to Split during a heat wave, so sleeping without the AC was a no-go as it would be too hot. Putting the AC too high would be too cold, and as said, putting it on a low stance resulted in a weird smell. Though we did not mention this to the host, we could see that the AC was full of dust and hasn't been cleaned in a while. Moreover, there was only one extra duvet for a room of four persons. When we asked the host for one extra, she referred us to the cleaning lady, who then said that we couldn't get one and should just put the AC on a lower stance. The room was overall clean, only very dusty underneath the wall where the bed would roll out of. The free WiFi and our 4G/5G didn't work quite well as hoped, it was rather erratic. This could be due to the fact that the room was located half under the ground (just like a souterrain). Also keep in mind that the room is rather dark because of its placement.

• jenny (2/5): 아주 좁은 방, 불량한 청소상태, 습기 가득한 방, 조식은 어디에? - 남편과 지금까지 30여개국 여행을 다녀왔는데, 머물렀던 호텔 중 최악이었습니다. 호텔이라기 보다는 그냥 방하나짜리 반지하 민박입니다. 반 지하 비슷한 위치라 좋지 않은 냄새가 나며, 바로 옆이 길이라 창문을 열면 행인들과 눈이 마주칩니다. 밤늦게까지 밖에서 떠드는 소리가 들려 잠도 설쳤습니다. 방은 매우 좁은데, 식사할 마땅한 자리도 없습니다. 침대 옆 벽은 습기 때문에 썩은 자리들이 차지하고 있습니다. 저희는 조식포함이라 예약하였는데, 전화로 체크인 시 조식은 얘기도 없었고, 결국 못먹었습니다. (체크아웃 때 열쇠는 방에 두고 가면 된다고 하더군요.) 아주 불편한 마음으로 나왔습니다. 이 호텔이 평점이 높아서 선택하였는데, 이 점수는 이해가 되지 않습니다. 정말 최악의 숙박이었습니다.

Only issues we had: 1) could not reach owner right away when we arrived 2)breakfast is off site and does not open until 9 am. We arrived at 9 but they were still not ready and told us to come back in.10 minutes as nothing was set up yet. We could not because we had to catch a ferry. Next day, Sunday we arrived again at 9 am and found out they were closed on Sundays. The last day, Monday, we had to leave at 8 am so we missed it again. We never had their breakfast. This information should have been clearly stated on their site. We would not have chosen the breakfast included option if we knew that ahead of time.

• Alina (10/5): Highly recommend- Villa Daky - 5 Star apartment - My husband and I rented Villa Daky for 4 nights during a recent stay in Split. The apartment was so nicely decorated, full of character, very clean, comfortable and outfitted with many special touches. Dragana, the owner met us on arrival and provided great suggestions for dining and touring the area.The apartment is relatively small but very comfortable, within minutes to Old Town! Everything inside is new and chosen with a personal touch. Situated on 2 floors, with small living room and kitchen on the bottom floor and bedroom & bathroom upstairs. The whole place is immaculate. Comfortable couch, which could accommodate another person or a couple of kids, TV and dining table in the living area downstairs.The kitchen is state of the art, and provides everything you need. Dragana thoughtfully included tea, coffee, sugar, condiments & spices and welcomed us with water, orange juice and beer in the fridge. Both levels have new AC units which came in very handy in the summer heat. The bedroom is in a charming attic, with comfortable bed, a dresser and clothes rack. There's a nice shower and a washing machine in the bathroom. We didn't get to cook, but loved our naps in the attic after a long day of exploring the city and watching movies with Croatian subtitles at night. Many thanks to Dragana for her wonderful hospitality. She provided great suggestions for dining and touring and recommended a doctor friend when one of us felt ill. We loved our stay at Villa Daky!
