- Sergio (7/5): The place was decent, pictures make it look more extravagant than it actually was. - They have a beautiful pool, and shower pressure was amazing. Location is very isolated from the rest of the city. It’s a dated building, and I did see bugs in the room.
- Av6054 (10/5): Value for Money! - The view, quietness & hospitality. I believe the hotel should have a bar or restaurant on board.
- Dragonmx4 (9/5): Superb - Excelent view of the ocean and city
- Gregory (8/5): Very good - view, location, pool wifi, Front desk lady was very kind but, did not speak english
- Vimal (8/5): Very good -
- MA Yolanda (4/5): Worst Hotel, something out of a bad movie. - This hotel is old and worn down lokking with cracked floor tiles. The bed sheets were stained, some stains looked like blood. Sliding shower door broken, you had to lift it to open it. Air conditioner barely worked. Couldn't control speed of fan. Had to step over corner of bed to get in and out of bathroom. Closet had no light. Bathroom had one little light. No on off switch inside bathroom found it by the lamp next to bed. No outlet next to or near bed. Found one outlet on the opposite side of the room. Door wouldn't stay shut unless even when lock fully engaged, door would simply swing open. You had to secure the door with a little piece of metal that slides up into the door frame. Hotel is noisy, could hear banging, alarms and shouting in the lobby even in the middle of the night. Was told restaurant would open at 8am. Went down at 8:30 and still closed. Booked for two nights. One night was enough, I canceled my second night and hotel refused to refund me my second unused night. Absolutely 💯 % would not recommend this hotel.
- Ma. (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel, great location, could use extra scrub. - An older but well-kept hotel with a great location on the peninsula de Santiago. Amazing views of both bays. Clean beds and most surfaces, but certain areas like the switches on end-table lamps and shower stall corners are a bit grimy and could use a little scrubbing, cleaning staff seems to ignore these. Without a car it’s a bit of a healthy exercise to get to the spectacular hilltop location. Not very many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, but two convenience stores are. Overall a little expensive, but you are paying for the view and peace from the city.
- Oscar (10/5): - Great property that is perfect for a family. We rented multiple villas so each group had their own villa. The pool was warm and the area has great views. 👍
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amplio,ubicacion,vista
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Family enjoyed the pool in the afternoons.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This charming hotel had stunning views of Manzanillo, we loved the view from our rooms and the pool. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, and the rooms tidy. It was a short walk away from Playa La Audiencia which is a pleasant beach with umbrellas and chairs available for rent, great food vendors, and boat rides.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hermosa propiedad y vistas
Bien ubicado y altamente recomendable.
- Joseph (6/5): Was not impressed. - Nice enough hotel on the exterior. Walking into the room was like walking into the 1970's. I did not want to live in the 1970's so cancelled my second night.
Nice owner., good location.
Shame in the 21st century so many hotels have poor wifi.
- Jasmin (8/5): Beautiful views - Two things stood out from my stay here, the service and the view. Everyone who helped us during our stay went above and beyond. Answered questions, got us taxis and left our room immaculate. The view was absolutely amazing overlooking playa la audencia. The pool was open mostly all day which made it nice. The furnishings are a bit on the older side so if you dont mind this then you will not have a problem. We didnt drive so we had to get taxis all the time. Just a warninf if you need a taxi outside office hours you will need to get ir yourself so make sure to get a number to call. Overall good stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property with lots of privacy and a great view of the bay and city.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall it’s a nice place to stay. Only thing is that you have to drive a few minutes to the beach and no continental breakfast. Beach is 3 minutes away.
- Liz (8/5): - The hotel is about 8min walk to the beach. Our villa faced the ocean and it was an amazing view. The villa it’s self is dated and needs some more up keep. However for the price, location and cleanliness it did the job for our two night stay. I would not mind staying here again.
- Daniela (10/5): - Amazing view, great housekeeping, overall excellent experience.
- dianewM226TT (10/5): Wonderful place in manzanillo - Villa las Angela’s is an awesome resort. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is situated on a direct bus route to the city centre and to groceries and other amenities. The pool is lovely and very clean. I am looking forward to coming back again and I would highly recommend this resort.
- jennifersI3475ZO (10/5): Lovely! - I had a very pleasant experience staying at Hotel Villas Los Angeles. My room was spacious with a terrace that had a magnificent sea view. Since there are no dining facilities on the the premises, the room had a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, plates, cups, etc. The property is very clean and well-kept with lots of flowers, washer-dryer and a lovely swimming pool. Cafes, restaurants, convenience stores and a beach are all within walking distance. The manager MIchel, (also from Canada) goes out of his way to be helpful and ensured my stay went well; from arranging taxis to buying a SIM card for my phone.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great view from mountain, very clean. Nice pool area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was pleased with everything, the check in, the villa was beautiful ,the location close to everything. I will come back for sure.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room to much expensive for the money other hotel have better VB deals
Me encanto!!!!
- BO (10/5): - Beautiful Hotel! Very clean and staff was great! Really recommend!
- 325madaia (10/5): Great Hotel/Villas - We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Our room was very clean. The staff was very friendly. Pool was clean and they even allowed us to host a birthday dinner near the pool area. Our stay was comfortable. I recommend this hotel planning to soon return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Older hotel but well maintained. Beautiful pool area, laundry facilities, parking, and wifi. Incredible views as this hotel is located near the top of a winding cobblestone street in a hilly area. Great beach within minutes. Need a car or taxi to get around and to restaurants.
- WallyW942 (10/5): Great setting to start our vacation! - We had a night to spend before moving into our condo and had a most pleasant experience. Everyone made our experience really easy. And our view was worth everything. Very nice pool as well. And while there is no restaurant currently on the premises, it's ten minute walk down the hill to Blueberry Bistro Cafe where we had both dinner and breakfast. There are lots of great choices of places to stay on this part of the and Villas Los Angeles is a good one. Wifi is a little weak, but everything else is great.
- Angel (10/5): - Excelente
- Carlos (10/5): Must See! I would recommend highly. - We were kindly greeted upon arrival. Check in was quick and easy. I was even given the option to pay then or at check out. Then we were walked to our villa and had a tour of the property. The layout was roomy and confortable. There was ample supplies available to use in the kitchenette. The views from our balcony were amazing!
- Marc (10/5): Great Choice in Manzanillo - Stunning views, beautiful pool, friendly staff and clean, spacious room. Can´t really ask for more.
Highly recommendable!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice condo. 3 bed/2 bath. Pool area was nice. A/c struggled to keep up with the size the apartment but was good enough. Please was stocked with dishes and basic essentials. Receptionists did not speak any English. But easy enough to communicate with good translate.
- b0bbiedee (2/5): Not good experience - I was living in Condominium El Faro in the same Peninsula and I experienced once with this accomodation. Well I was not satisfied with the service and with the general arrangement of this accomodation. Maybe others could like it, not me.
- Israel (10/5): Nice hotel, great views and very clean! - Loved my one night stay at this place. From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly! Room was clean and they even have filtered water inside so no need to buy. Would definitely recommend!
- Janet (4/5): - False Advertising! I specifically chose this hotel because of the beach frontage. There is no beach. It was too late after my drive to find another hotel. All I did was sleep there. There were only pads on 3 or 4 lounge chairs and a family arrived at the pool at the same time I did so I did not use the pool as there was no place to sit.
- 76alejandroh (8/5): Easter vacations - Nice place, the Villages has enough green space to enjoy the weather, with a little pool but enough for all sizes, near to La Audiencia Beach when you'll make outdoor sport like snorking and camping. Ready for enjoy.
- oldtime6 (10/5): Great Holiday ! - From the moment we arrived till the moment we left ,we were well taken care of. Michel ..the owner and his staff were fantastic !. Highlights included the heated pool and the wonderful views as well as the fellow guests. Loved our Suite !!!! Would love to return sooner than later ! One of our best vacations ever :)
- ballroomgirl (8/5): Great Pool Area - We only stayed one night while waiting to get into a condo - wished we could have stayed longer. The pool area is beautiful and the pool was warm. That's not always the case, even in Manzanillio in February. Two other places we stayed that pools that were so cool they were a challenge even for Canadians used to northern lakes. Our room was nice with a balcony with a great view of the ocean. Only comment was that, went we checked in on a Sunday afternoon, the desk person spoke so little english that next to nothing about the place was explained to us. I tried Spanish, but I'm not great with the language. We found our way around anyway.
- 422trinak (8/5): A million dollar view ! - A view of both bays with a small bay down the hill below - where 'Ten 'was filmed. Lovely suites, very accommodating staff, well equipped kitchens etc. Owners will go out of their way to make you happy !
- 790nessam (8/5): Decent hotel, accommodating, beautiful pool and balcony view - We stayed at Hotel Villas Los Angeles for 2 days and 2 nights. Upon arriving the room we received was not what was pictured when I had booked the reservation online. Much smaller. The pictures made it look like there was more "hanging out and sitting areas." Still, not much to complain. It was quaint and nice. The view from the balcony was outstanding. The beds were most uncomfortable and it was really difficult to get a full nights sleep. Air conditioning was very powerful, but again can I really complain about having lots of nice cool air?
I would certainly consider returning to stay at Hotel Villas Los Angeles.
The staff was very friendly. The parking convenient.
The star attraction of this place is really the pool area. It's beautiful. Tons of lounging space and places to sit/eat/drink. The water itself was warm which was enjoyable for swimming. Very nice.
- maynic13 (10/5): Perfect Vacation! - We stayed here from 25th May until 04th June 2015. The Villas Los Angeles is a hilltop accomodation with picturesque views of playa miramar and playa audiencia.
Pictureresque views from our balcony!!!
- 216KC (10/5): Great Hotel, Great Views, Great Swimming, Wonderful People! - My husband and I stayed at Villas Los Angeles for the second time this January (2015), and it's still as wonderful as it was three years ago. The views are breath-taking, the rooms are clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and many have kitchens, which means you can cook your own meals and save a lot of money (dished, cups, pots, pans, and basic kitchen tools are provided, but you might want to bring an apron). There are several supermarkets nearby where you can buy almost anything you can buy in the U.S. If you like to swim, the hotel pool is very pretty and great for lap swimming or simply splashing around. Also Audencia Beach is nearby. Audiencia is one of the best places in Mexico I've found to swim--warm, calm, and pretty. Although it's not a prime diving or snorkeling site, you can easily snorkel along the shore and see some spectacular fish. Perhaps the best thing about Villas Los Angeles is how well it's run. The owners, Michael and Patricia are a Canadian/Mexican couple who go out of their way to help you. They appear to treat their staff well, which means that everyone from the people who clean your room to the people who tend the flowers are also very friendly. I've written such a long review because I've traveled extensively and Villas Los Angeles is one of my favorite places.
- norcalretiree (10/5): Wonderful relaxing stay for serious swimmers - Sitting on top of a high hill, Villas Los Angeles commands beautiful views from every apartment. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is impeccably maintained. The charming owners, Michel and Patricia, are often on site and are easily available to address any problems. The suites are well-equipped and furnished with a very pleasing Mexican sensibility. Nearby are beautiful beaches--our favorite is a well-protected place perfect for long leisurely swims, La Audiencia, heavy with Mexican history--and a range of excellent restaurants that guests and staff are eager to describe. We walked, we swam, we had long conversations--we didn't want to leave and have already booked our villa for our next visit. This place is a treasure; no wonder many guests stay for months at a time!
- ceoliver (10/5): Manzanillo 2015 - Okay, this is a hard review to write for me. I'll start with the good points first. Our room was clean and the decor was nice. The bathroom and vanity was clean, that's very important to me. There was a coffee maker, coffee provided and minimal dish ware, small frig, TV, air conditioner and a balcony with a great view. The property was beautiful! Bad points - for us, the Wi-fi was only in the pool area not in the rooms like advertised which the manager explained what the issue was and he working on it. I'm not sure this is fair to add as a con but for us it was. The bed was very hard and between the traffic and barking dogs noise, which went well into night and early morning we did not sleep well.
- leej423 (8/5): You can not find a better view in Manzanillo - We were looking for a quick get a way in Manzanillo and could not have been happier with the Hotel Villas Los Angeles. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a balcony over looking the ocean, (or golf coarse if you are on the other side).
Each evening guests gather to socialize and watch the sunset over the bay disappearing behind the mountains. Beautiful.
The pool area is nice with wifi and flowering plants. All and all very nice.
The only down side is the lack of wifi in the rooms. There is however a hardware Internet connection in each room.
- R0bert213 (10/5): I highly recommend this place - We stayed at Villas Los Angeles over Labor Day Weekend. This hotel is perfect for people who are looking for a quiet and private experience. The rooms and grounds are very clean. We were so thrilled that we found this place and happy the we stayed here and not at a resort style hotel. Staying here gave us the opportunity to eat at different restaurants and not had to deal with hotel food which can be a hit or miss. Their staff is very helpful and friendly. They also connected us with Daniel from Dani Tours who was also friendly. We will definitely be staying here again. We stayed in Villa #215 which had amazing views of both the Bay and Manzanillo. I highly recommend this place.
- Gonefishin2014 (10/5): Manzanillo Retreat - Hotel Villas Los Angeles was a perfect fit for our party of six (two rooms) including three of college age. The full kitchen and large living area in one of the 3 bedroom units allowed for cost effective meals and a gathering place for all of us with great views of both the very scenic Santiago and Manzanillo Bays. The beautiful pool area was a welcome retreat in the warm afternoons. The owner, Michel, was extremely accommodating and offered tips on restaurants and went out of his way to locate a specifically requested local tour guide for us. This hotel/villa arrangement is an excellent choice over the larger more expensive "packaged" resorts and offers a more personalized, easy going experience with beautiful hilltop views and very nice accommodations.
- Yesi2000 (10/5): Beautiful staff very friendly and nice. - We originally only booked for 3 nights and we had to book a 4th because it's just so relaxing here and staff make you feel welcomed and are very nice and friendly. The owner Michel talked to us a few times and he was very helpful on what places to eat and visit. The beach we went to was about 10min away in taxi and the hotel has a great view and an awesome pool!!! It was perfect for our family vacation. Definitely will be staying here again when we come back to manzanillo.
- 209richardg (8/5): Wonderful for a few days' relaxation - This property is an exceptionally nice place to relax. The other guests were nice folks from Canada. The general aesthetics are compelling and the views are indeed exceptional. We were here just overnight, so couldn't take much advantage of the kitchenette in the pretty room -- there is no restaurant -- but enjoyed a couple decent restaurants that were short cab rides, as is a nice small beach down the big hill. Michel went out of his way to connect us with a good doctor for a minor emergency. He also was accommodating about a late checkout and in other ways. We definitely recommend.
- tomgyakima (10/5): Great hotel, great views - We just returned home from a week here. One night in 211 and six in 210, a larger unit with kitchen and king bed in a separate bedroom. While not beachfront, the hilltop location provided great views of both Santiago beach and Manzanillo beach. The pool area was excellent and noted 2 charcoal grills and 1 gas grill. There was a nice area for watching sunsets overlooking Santiago bay. Patricia and Michael were excellent hosts.
