The guys at the reception always helped us with a smile. The porter helped us with absolutely every bag and was very kind and smiling too. Even the staff we met in the elevator were wonderful, smiling and friendly. This is definitely the best staff we came across during our trip through Vietnam. The room has a small window that looks at a wall and there wasn’t natural light in the room.

• Nathalie (10/5): Highly recommended hotel. - Highly recommended hotel: located on a quiet street, a 200-meter walk from the lake. It's in a renovated old market building. The room is spacious (15m²), quiet, and well soundproofed, with a small window, a small desk, a small refrigerator, and a kettle. The air conditioning is silent. The bed is very comfortable. Large bathroom with beautiful tiling. I recommend the breakfast: fruit, cheeses, excellent bread, etc. The setting is also lovely, as it's on the top floor of the building with a view of the lake. The service is friendly and welcoming. Nothing.

• Rohit Dilip (10/5): Awesome two days stay - The hotel location is perfect, especially for exploring Train Street and enjoying the nightlife in the Old Quarter area. The hotel staff was exceptional and very welcoming. They even provided our room earlier than the standard check-in time, which was greatly appreciated after our journey. Throughout our stay, the staff was always helpful and supportive. Breakfast was complimentary and the food quality was good as well. The only small downside is that the surrounding roads are quite narrow, which can make walking or driving slightly difficult. However, this is common in the Old Quarter area and does not take away from the overall experience. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hanoi. NA

They are all so helpful and super kind :) Location is close to Hoan Kiem Lake and you can explore the old quarter mostly by foot! Room was good aswell , cleaned really good. We booked a room without window and for us it wasn’t really an issue. Overall great , affordable Hotel, would recommend!

The breakfast had a good variety of western and eastern items. The location is very close to Huan Kim Lake and the Old Quarter without having to be right in front of the crowds.

Perfectly situated in the Old Quarter with ~2 minute walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake and many local restaurants (e.g. Pizza 4Ps is around the corner!) and cafes (e.g. the famous Cafe Giang and Cong Caphe are <10 minutes walking distance). The staff were so friendly coming in/out and asking about my day/night and what I ate, etc. Bonuses were that I loooved the breakfast buffet that provided a variety of fresh Vietnamese-style salads and foods with some Western foods too (got a load of fiber in to beat traveler's constipation!) and they give a discount on the spa services so the (already very affordable) massages were an even better deal. All in all, I would definitely come back again!

The room we were given was outdated and unclean, with black stains on the bathroom floor, walls, and glass doors. There was also a mix-up with our receipt. Despite coordinating the booking for our group, I ended up with the worst room. At checkout, we were promised the same transit vehicle we paid for upon arrival, but instead received a 7-seater SUV that couldn’t fit five people plus all our luggage. My wife and I had to wait for another transport. Overall, the experience was frustrating and far below expectations.

The room did not have a single bed, was quite small, The welcome drink did not offer a choice, but the bar atmosphere was nice, and my uncle quite liked it. Breakfast was okay. The bellboy and reception staff provided service willingly. The female receptionist helped me carry my luggage. The male receptionist did not pay attention to my questions but focused on my uncle, who was not the one who made the booking and did not know the stay details. He treated me like I was invisible, the room had a drain smell at night. The shower was leaking all the time. Housekeeping was forgetful—on the second day of the stay, there was no floor mat, and some glasses and minibar items were missing.

• Shanna (10/5): Perfect - This is our favourite hotel in Hanoi, we’ve now stayed here three times, and it never disappoints. The location is perfect, close to the heart of town with everything you need right around you. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the experience is seamless. A big shoutout to all the staff, especially Andy, Oris, and Jimmy. Every time we needed help or information, Jimmy was always there, making sure we were looked after and comfortable. Whenever you’re in Hanoi, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend! Nil

• Enrique De Jesus (10/5): Enthusiastic Staff! - Vietnam has been my 60 country visited. The front desk representatives have been the MOST PROFESSIONAL & FRIENDLY team I have ever had. This team are very professional and enthusiastic young people who treat their guests like their own family members. Once the check in was completed Anna walked me to the room to provide details of everything provided in my booking; plus a very professional explanation of the history of the Old Hanoi and the hotel building, etc. Sophie is another sweet professional front desk rep. The staff of this hotel is very enthusiastic and cordial. Location is walking distance for all places to visit in the Old Hanoi area. Very clean and comfortable. Too many options for breakfast. Looking forward to visit Vietnam again, returning back to Hanoi this will be my “home” again. This hotel is more than excellent.
• Jason (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Roof top bar was nice. Room with a balcony window facing the street, there is a lot of street noise, not unexpected. The streets in vietnam are noisy, so not a fault of the hotel.

• David L (10/5): Great location and excellent staff. - Location is great if you want to be near the old quarter, on the fringe near the lake. Staff were excellent, interested in your day and extremely helpful when need. Sophie was a standout, lovely nature and took the initiative to directly follow up our pick up bus when it was rather late. The Classic Double Room is on the smaller size, however I knew that on booking. Next time I would book the bigger room.
• Laurent (9/5): - Au cœur de Hanoi. En retrait dans une rue qui permet d'éviter le bruit incessant. A proximite de tout, a une minute du lac. Le petit dejeuner est très bon , beau et varié. L'équipe formidable , aux petits soins pour nous aider dans toutes nos demandés et rendre le séjour agréable. Un grand merci à vous.

• Catherine (9/5): Wonderful boutique hotel - The location, staff, comfortable bed, and breakfast was wonderful. Additionally, it was quiet. We stayed at another boutique hotel on the other side of the lake before we headed to the Hagiang Loop and we heard a lot of street noise. Not at the Dalvostra. The staff was exceptional. The first room we went to had a slight sewer smell in the bathroom. As soon as I mentioned it to the front desk, they had another room and helped move us to it.
• Vivien (10/5): Gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Hanoi kommen - Wir hatten die Junior Suite gebucht und alles war so wie wir es erwartet und erhofft hatten. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral im old quater und ist trotzdem sehr ruhig, in 2 Min. ist man am Hoi Kim See. Das Frühstücksbuffet außergewöhnlich gut und sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Die Kellerbar war sehr stilvoll und ist einen Besuch wert. DAs Personal unschlagbar freundlich. nichts
