Guest Reviews

- Ian (8/5): -
- Piyush (9/5): Wonderful stay with a good experience - Room size, cleanliness, Staff & service Location
- Hans Juerg (9/5): Nice hotel for short term stay (a few days max) , that offers great value for the price. - Their rooms are spacious, clean, with a surprisingly big bath/shower section, and excellent AC. Power had a few hiccups, but it always came back on withing a few minutes.
The bed is very comfortable.
Breakfast and Dinner are buffet style, and tend to be a bit repetitive, mostly Indian dishes. But there are also a-la-carte options, and the staff is very attentive. They try to accommodate any culinary request if possible.
The spa has excellent massage therapists, that provide a variety of massages. It was a very relaxing experience. The location of the hotel is a bit off the beaten path and not that easy to find. And one is mostly limited to the one restaurant in the hotel, as it is outside of town and going into town is not that easy in the evenings, unless you have a driver available,
Just a note: If you go on the tiger safari in the morning, be prepared to get up before 5 am, as the safaris start at six.
- Arjun (7/5): -
- Deepika (10/5): - Excellent staff and excellent property. Food was awesome and the kitchen staff was courteous and friendly. Great hospitality!
- Jayanta Saha (9/5): A good hotel - All Staff of the hotel are very well behaved and helpful.
Good location.
- Lorryce (10/5): Great location to the national park, staff couldn’t of been better. Amazing food. Thank you! - Everything Nothing
- Maria (8/5): -
- Yasmine (7/5): Nice and calm and very beautiful place. Not very modern rooms but the charm of the place is that its old historic place - Such a beautiful place, really calm and tranquil. Maybe a bit old especially bathroom even though its charming
- Sandra (7/5): Wonderful engaged staff and management - Mega comfortable bed - we slept so well
Food was plentiful varied and very tasty
Staff were engaged and very helpful
Location was a short drive to the safari No outside dining/bar
The bathroom was a bit scruffy, paint on the window, hot water was erratic and the shower didn’t drain correctly so one side flooded after each shower
- Michael (9/5): -
- Geoffrey (8/5): A Beautiful, Stunning Hotel. - The hotel was stunning and we had a beautiful room. The pool and gardens were lovely and you can book a massage at a reasonable cost. We were told that you could eat in their restaurant and choose from the menu. However, everyone was ushered into the garden for their a’la carte buffet. This is fine if you like the Indian cuisine. When it came to breakfast we had two separate waiters during our two day stay, who continually plied us with food that we didn’t want. They stood over us which made us feel very uncomfortable. We couldn’t wait to get out.

- Angelo (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Relaxing retreat after Golden Triangle tours - Great staff; nothing too difficult from blankets for morning safari, food top ups, lovely gardens to train station pick up. We enjoyed a very late check out too!!
They’re happy to go the extra mile which showed - lovely character hotel - highly recommended Yes it’s on a bumpy road but it takes 5 mins to the main road
- Patty (9/5): -
- Wood (9/5): - The staff were amazing and could not be more helpful, the place was clean well presented lovely pool and gardens very peaceful and would recommend especially if doing the safari
On a side note the safari's are numbers 1 to 10 and you’re more likely to see the tigers from 1 to 5 hope this helps anyone booking To be honest the only thing was the location as there no other restaurants etc nearby but you weren't overcharged for food or drinks
But that was a positive as was quite
- Susan (9/5): Fantastic comfortable relaxing stay - Old world charm. Rooms clean. Staff exceptional. Relaxing. Lovely pool. Massage therapists in the day spa were very experienced. Nothing to dislike
- Tanja (8/5): - The staff was very friendly, helpful and forthcoming. Beautiful rooms, spacious and luxurious interior. The garden is lush and well kempt, with beautiful flowers, bushes and palmtrees. Nice pool with spa options. Unfortunately for our taste, the whole place has an imperial and rather colonial feel to it. Also, the whole dinner (even the fresh fruit) tasted extremely of chlorine, which one staff member explained to us by pointing out that they sprinkle it over the food for safety reasons and to kill germs. The receptionist denied this when we pointed it out the next morning.
- SZYMON (8/5): -
- Ouyang (10/5): - Location very close to the national park. The staff were incredibly attentive
- Sue (8/5): Good location for the tiger reserve - Very authentic hotel with some beautiful pictures
Restaurant staff extremely attentive! Quite dirty under the bed and towels looked old and grey. No room clean and stayed 2 nights. Had to ask for fresh towels
- Sonali (1/5): -
- Meg (9/5): We had a fantastic stay. The rooms and facilities are great for the price and the food was lovely and very good service. - Everything! Nothing
- ANJANA NARPAT (5/5): -
- Mo (10/5): Excellent staff, cuisine and atmosphere. - It was traditional, beautiful with lots of character. Nothing
- Giulia (8/5): -
- Kirti Dinesh (6/5): Okay facility - Location Beds were not comfortable
- Rahul B. (9/5): Home away from home !!! - The property has a rustic charm to it and gives a feeling of really living in a Haveli.
Right from the security staff to bell boys to restaurant staff, all of them were courteous and helpful. Everything was good

- Parasuram (8/5): - The staff were excellent, looked after us very well (sometimes extra, but that happens). The food was good and we liked the stay overall. The road to the hotel is poor, dusty and is badly maintained.
- Alok (9/5): Great hospitality .. warm people ! - Cosy and clean property with great hospitality . Mr Aslam and his team were very helpful and gracious and Lakhi at the restaurant truly served us very well ! Thank
You The location is a bit father and the hotel can only be reached via a dusty road fir a few kms
- Vinay (9/5): -
- Basu (9/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): Beautiful hotel with excellent food - Really wonderful stay. The room was terrific, the staff very helpful, and the food exceptional. Someone should organize a trash pickup in the neighborhood. There are a lot of nice hotels, with rampant trash outside their walls.
- Anna-Karin (10/5): Ståndsmässigt, trevligt, rent och snyggt. Personligt - Underbar atmosfär, välkomnande, rent och snyggt, bra mat. Rummen var stora och personliga. Stort fräscht badrum. Trevlig personal.
- Jennifer (8/5): difficult to arrive in the night - options on the restaurant to limited, people are really nice very friendly. location
- shailesh (9/5): -
- Roma (9/5): -
- Ranjit (8/5): -
- Adithya (10/5): Beautiful Stay! - The staff was extremely helpful, went above and beyond to make our stay amazing.
Dilkhush was an excellent staff member, recommended great food and incredible service. Little on the expensive side.
- Vanessa (9/5): Wonderful heritage property - Beautiful heritage property near the national park. Immaculately clean, great food with attentive staff. The hotel is along a bumpy track which could be cleaned of rubbish. The staff were attentive but too attentive in the restaurant. Our friends and I would prefer to get our own food and not have to constantly be given food we might want or didn’t ask for.
- Shubham (10/5): -
- atul (7/5): - Neat and clean! The food! Very poor
- Sietse (8/5): Geweldig - De accommodatie was prachtig De ligging
- Surya (10/5): -
- Roz (9/5): - Food excellent
- Nicolas (10/5): - All good!!
- Stephen (7/5): -
- sonjoy (10/5): -
- Annabel (9/5): -
- Sunesh Kumar (10/5): - Infrastructure Approach road to reach hotel
- Balji (5/5): - Staff greet guests well. Breakfast was good, with good options. The heritage aspect can be seen through the property. However, not as Good as what we paid for. We stayed in room 118, the wifi wasn't working even after a few complaints. The bed wasn't very comfortable we couldn't sleep very well.
- sumitro (9/5): -
- Ellen judith (10/5): -
- Jhumka (5/5): - Approach road is very bad, there are no signages to lead us to the hotel, the GPS takes us to a route that is blocked.
Couldn't walk around the property and we were captive
- Matthew (10/5): Excellent Terrace for Views of the Taj Mahal - The staff gave us excellent service and made lovely food for us after a long journey. The view on the terrace was just like the photos so we sat in the evening and watched the Taj Mahal at sunset while we ate our dinner.
- Eric (6/5): - I have mixed reviews about this property. When I originally booked the room (months in advance) I had asked the hotel if they would be able to help me book the Tiger Safari tour. I was told they would. Fast forward to a week before my visit to India, and I’m told I need to book it myself! High season, everywhere was basically booked. I had to pull strings with a tour group I used in Delhi/Agra to help me out last minute. The site is well off the beaten track, which may not be a bad thing and the local city is quite mosey, dusty, and busy with traffic and honking. Rooms had basic amenities, my comforter had a couple stains on it. Overall for the price, it was ok. Service was great, the waitstaff were awesome, and the food wasn’t too bad.
- alexis (9/5): - Peaceful n beautiful hotel Last day no Internet or hot water
- John (10/5): Tigers and the other Ranthambhore Park wilsdlife experience was much enhanced by staying at this establishment. - Looked like a fine country estate / palace with large comfortable guest rooms. The staff were almost too enthusiastic and attentive ….but most helpful and welcoming. The rutted bumpy track from the freeway to the hotel
- Patricija (9/5): Superb stay - Very helpful staff, great food and amenities, can have a massage on the property etc
- Brett (9/5): Tranquil location, stunning service, beautiful spaces - This was a heritage hotel in a peaceful location. The rooms were spacious and clean and the public areas superb. The sitting areas on the first floor, the gardens and pool area, and the peaceful courtyards all gave the hotel a sense of relaxed luxury and calm. When things went wrong, as is almost inevitable in a heritage building, the staff responded speedily and dealt with it. The restaurant staff were particularly outstanding, and the meals, a choice between à la carte and buffet, extremely good. We were really impressed with how - so rarely experienced - the buffet selection was always piping hot, and at only 900 Rs per person, it was also a bargain. My word, the road getting here is an experience! But we accepted that as part of being in an out-of-the-way location and it only enhanced the tranquility of the hotel.
- Suveni (9/5): Beautiful property, great staff, enjoyable stay - The property is very beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were very clean and spacious - much bigger than I was expecting and the rooms and property look better in person than the photos online. The staff was helpful - special shoutout to one of the servers who went above and beyond throughout our stay to fulfil food requests, etc. The server felt like a personal butler of sorts who always did what he could to help us out. The swimming pool was also nice (especially on the 1st day when there weren't too many people and kids). Breakfast selection was good.
Bonus - I liked the fact that they didn't ask us to pay for the stay on checkin, like some hotels do. It just makes the experience much better. - The mattresses could be a little more firm.
- The food was decent / good but since the property is otherwise so good, I think this is one area that they can improve.
- Annabel (10/5): - Great
- Beverley (9/5): Lovely Hotel - The hotel was really nice, the staff were friendly and the facilities were great. Difficult to get to off the main road.
- Gaurav (9/5): - Nice property. It is located inside forest not on road. Staff very helpful.
- Navaneeth (10/5): Must stay when going to Ranthambore safari - Closer to Ranthambore national park safari spot. One of the best and luxurious hotel to stay at decent price. Staff were very polite and helpful. They helped us with commute a lot. Hotel itself has great space and rooms.Must stay! Nothing
- Siddharth (10/5): - Very friendly and supportive staff Nothing
- Michiel (8/5): Overall okay stay - The beds are very soft and comfortable. Rooms and the hotel itself are very beautiful. We were all alone in the hotel. The overcharge on safaris and transfers to train station. When you come from the station it is best to keep the phone number of the driver bringing you. Location is in the middle of nowhere and the roads are very bad.
- Aukje (10/5): Geweldig! Verder perfect!
- Ell (9/5): Beautiful Hotel - Gorgeous hotel. Staff could not be more helpful & attentive. Check in process was smooth including the receptionist calling our safari tour guide to sort out pick up and how we would get there which was helpful. Coffee & biscuits were served prior to our 5:30am safari pick up which was a nice touch. Housekeeping was good & pool area is clean. Room is spacious & comfortable as well. Large bathroom which were clean. Dinner was delicious every night, we did the a la carte & the breakfast was great - we are not big eaters but there was plenty of option both Indian & Western cuisine. Not much to do around the hotel, you can go into the town but we didn't bother. Beautifully grand hotel but quite pricey.
- Eva (9/5): Amazing hotel close to tiger safari. - Very nice hotel with friendly staff. They are helpfull with arranging safari's, taxi's or anything you would like to do. Breakfast was amazing! Location of the hotel is near Ranthambore NP entry 1-5, very convenient. The swimming pool is a nice welcome after you come back from your tiger safari. Nothing, everything was good.
- Jurjen (9/5): Superb - Everything.
We felt very welcomed, great food, great value, super-friendly staff.
Second time here, would stay here again next time for sure. Nothing to dislike
- Chloe (9/5): Beautiful building and friendly staff - Beautiful and clean building, very good for photos. Lots of areas to relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful during breakfast, dinner and to help with telling our driver where to go for the safari. Pool area was lovely and clean and perfect for chilling after your safari. The room was also lovely with the tiger imagery! The aircon in the room wasn’t amazing - it did cool down somewhat, and the fridge didn’t work. We managed but in 40oC heat some might need better aircon. Also for sustainability and to reduce plastic waste, would be better to provide larger reusable bottles of filtered water. We got through at least 10 bottles during our 1 night stay - which when extrapolated is huge and damaging for the area.
- Manan (8/5): Good property - Quite confoortable Nothing
- Helen (9/5): Amazing experience - Very, very beautiful building
Delicious food Nothing
- Lucy (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel is nice and has a rustic charm, even if dated. The facilities are basic - although look very stylish and photograph well.
One issue we had, which feels odd to say, is that the over service became oppressive and too much, meaning we didn’t look forward to meal times and one night tried to find a way to avoid them. The waiter, although well meaning, asked us how everything was at least 25-30 times in a 30 minute sitting and would watch us the whole time, meaning we were unable to relax. This seems to be the culture in hotels we have visited in India, but the level here was extreme and actually unpleasant.
- Richard (9/5): Fantastic stay in an old charm hotel that is Relaxing and a great base for the safari trips. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay - The old world charm is such a beautiful characteristic of the hotel and great location for the safaris. The evening meals in the superb garden area was certainly a highlight. Overall a fantastic experience supported by attentive and friendly Staff. Really great stay.
- Garima (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharmila (10/5): A memorable stay - We loved everything.
- Sandeep (8/5): Okay - Staff behaviour was not good specially with Indians. If its any foreign visitor they are happy to serve with a smile but opposite is the case for indians.
- Kajsa (10/5): AMAZING - The included breakfast was amazing. You can have fresh made omelettes, there's juice, and a large variety of dishes to choose from the buffet including fresh fruit. They serve chai as well as coffee. They also have a great system for the safari goers with a small snack in the morning before departure (blankets you can use on the jeep), and then full breakfast when you return. Food for ordering for other meals were also excellent and the staff are incredible. We do not think there is anything that could be improved. This hotel was an amazing last minute addition to our itinerary in India. We'd recommend it to anyone trying to get to the national park.
- Sonia (9/5): Really enjoyed a relaxing break with safari - A fabulously beautiful hotel with a great ambience.
The pool was great. The gardens were gorgeous. The afternoon tea was very welcome and a chance to mingle with the other guests. Nothing to be honest
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional - It was very comfortable! Staff were very helpful! Booked us a Safari into the Ranthambhore park where we saw three tigers. It was worth the whole trip. Food was very nice! Nothing!
- Simon (9/5): Great place, people and facilities - Beautiful throughout.
- Rajinder (9/5): Great stay as the heritage haveli made it up for anything like the location - Staff very helpful and well trained. Ambience of the hotel was great and enjoyed the swimming pool. Dining in experience was great too. Buffet meals were not so nice but one could order freshly made items and the staff were eager to help and it was appreciated Out in the sticks, road to the hotel really bad sandy and there was no where local to go
- Rachel (9/5): Beautiful hotel, with exceptional staff - brilliant - Staff were exceptional - super attentive and were outstanding when I had an issue with my driver, making sure I got to and from the safari on time. They knew exactly where I needed to be and when, and made sure I missed nothing ! Very proactive, and genuinely just lovely. Nothing really - the dirt track to the hotel is a little bumpy in my 'emergency tuk tuk' but no drama and added to the experience.
- Marcel (9/5): Great location, nice gardens and very friendly staff - The property is well located close to the gates(15min drive) of the national park. Its heritage looks gives you a luxurious feel. The garden and the pool very great and welcomed you after getting back to the Hotel after safari adventures.
The staff was very helpful. They booked a safari pick up, helped with the check-in for the safari and even a late check-out was possible.
The food was also good. However, we liked the dishes from the menu better than the buffet.
