Guest Reviews
- Ermete (10/5): - Disponibilità e gentilezza sia del proprietario che del personale
- Arcangelo (10/5): - Un generale tutto ben equilibrato Nessun punto negativo
- Poppy (10/5): Wonderful B and B - Absolutely wonderful stay at La Rada and Alex. My room was upgraded to a stunning corner room with balconies over both the port and the Roman ruins next to the property and was wonderful to be able to watch the sun go down by the water. I had been concerned about getting in due to other reviews but couldn't be simplier, I just Whatsapped Alex when I arrived and he came by within 5 minutes and helped me with my bags up. Alex even let me leave my bags whilst I went diving. Breakfast is served in a lovely café just round the corner, mix of croissants and coffee but perfect set up for the day. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Naples! Nothing

- Mariano (10/5): Camere ampie e pulite. Gran bel soggiorno!
- Koen (8/5): It is a fine place to stay for a night, nothing special, nothing bad. - The provided breakfast nearby was nice, and a good parking solution for 10 euros per 24h (which is hard to find in the area). There were good restaurants in the area. The view of our room was good, but this depends on the room. The room itself was clean. The host was somewhat unresponsive in the beginning, but when we had contact via whatsapp it was good. The stair at the entrance is somewhat steep, so not for the less abled.

- Carmine (10/5): eccellente - la vicinanza al porto nulla
- Zahra-Luan (8/5): - Great location if you want to go to the little beaches nearby or if you're there for diving, the diving centers were literally next door so I truly recommend this place if you are planning a dive. There were no pillows and I didn't receive the check-in/key instructions until after I had arrived and called twice, but then it all was smooth and worked out.
- Laura (8/5): - Location fronte porto Non c'erano bagno schiuma e shampoo (bastava un paio di campioncini).
- Ira (6/5): - Beware - The only access to the property is through a locked street level door. The rooms are located on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator. The staircase is very steep to ascend/descend, very difficult & dangerous to navigate with heavy luggage. The AC worked very poorly. The property manager did not physically show up at the property during my two night stay.

- Mark (10/5): Superb - Beautifully appointed N/A
- Ιωαννησ (6/5): A mis-management ruined a rather perfect stay... - Nice room with an incredible view. Parking options available. The location is also incredible. Restaurants, cafe, beaches, ancient ruins at a stone through distance. I had to do all the contact to get the keys and it was not a nice experience. I was waiting hopelessly outside a locked property for an answer of a call/message or a sign from God how to get in. I won't say more. I thought that this is every hosts obligation to look after their daily booking and helping the travellers by sending a simple message of what the check in get-keys procedure is.
- Clifford (10/5): Exceptional - Self checkin via WhatsApp messages. Although the operator was helpful so that's good. The neighborhood is nice but quite far away from naples. There are nice roman ruins around to see. It's 40 mins on train to get to Naples. Not so.bad actually. The food places around are quite expensive.
- Michael (4/5): - Nice location but very poor communications with host. I kept asking for information about the room, finally was given instructions by messenger how to get into the building and was told to take keys for the room “La Pinta”. But when we got there found there were no keys for that room. Tried calling, messaging with no response. After an hour or so, met another couple and they said they had been given the keys to “La Pinta”. After waiting some more, finally took some keys to a different room, hoping no one else had booked it. Kept trying to call and message host but with no response ever. Definitely the worst “service” I have had.
- cheryl (10/5): - Great location for the park.
- Magdalena (10/5): - The place is V quiet in a beautiful area
- Ashley (6/5): Pleasant - The location was great. Still a decent walk away from many things and if you are there on a Sunday-Tuesday many things to include restaurants were not open. Did not like that there was no way to avoid house keeping either.
- Kenneth (8/5): - Its a nice hotel in a prime location, right on the waterfront of Baia. The rooms are large, with a full bathroom and kitchen en-suite, and there is air conditioning in each unit, its very clean too. Some of the difficulty is that the WIFI did not work (even after rebooting it), the TV was not connected to any service (not even local channels for news), there were a lot of mosquitos, the check-out time is early, and there is no reception staff to accept bags before check-in time, and they are very slow to respond to any email requests or meeting times.
- Glenhl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iain (10/5): Great place for exploring Baia - The location was perfect for the Baia Archaeological park and also for scuba diving in the bay. The check in system is very simple and efficient. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and a great sea view with balcony. The nearby breakfast was also great, thank you!
- Robyn (10/5): Great stay in Baia - Everything was presented beautifully. Alex was a great host and that view was priceless
- Yannick (8/5): Very good - Well located Nothing
- Ruiyi (5/5): Passable -
- Preziuso (7/5): Good -
- Alex (9/5): Superb -
- Hendrik (9/5): Excellent accommodation - highly recommend - The owner come and visited us, he was vey friendly.
the accommodation is right by the shore with a series of restaurants - we had lunch and dinner at two of them and they were the best pasta we had in our 2 weeks in Italy.
the view was of the Baiae ruins, which was amazing - how many times can you say that your accommodation oversee a 2000yrs old roman ruins =)
accommodation included a simple croissant breakfast which was amazing (great cafe staff) no kettle in our room
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great waterfront place - Awesome place! Room was large, comfortable, and well appointed. Owner friendly and helpful. View from the room was wonderful as was the little balcony. Breakfast is offsite and pastries were fresh, hot, and homemade! Parking close by and very walkable, parking lot attendants were friendly and helpful. Dining options very close by and food was excellent.
- Lynda (8/5): our stay was good apart from other guests who were rather noisy (not very considerate). Not the owners fault - location was ideal for our needs. property was spacious and very clean. -
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): This accomodation is amazing. Fantastic location. It is serviced everyday - the standard of cleanliness is perfect. I me - This room was very large - more like an apartment.
The accomodation also has a small kitchen, with a top cooker, pots/pans cutlery etc so you can quite easily make breakfast or dinner and relax and eat on the balcony.
The room was perfectly presented, extremely clean. It felt very welcoming.
Many restaurants / cafes are below and short walks from the accomodation. Small supermarket around the corner with a larger one approx 12 min walk.
Beautiful quiet area.
The sea view from the room was amazing. There isn’t one negative thing to say about this property. My experience there was perfect.
- Nikola (10/5): Exceptional - I liked absolutely everything! And the most was the air condition in their place. Everything was clean and tidy, the bed was amazing, balcony with a view to the sea <3 I have been totally amazed immediately when I entered to the place.
- Gabriela (4/5): - It was not what expected. The access to the room smelled bad, with no light. The room was never cleaned in my 4 night stay. It was connected with another room with a closet door tha you could hear the noise of the other guests. Not worth the price, nethir the expedia rating.
- Nancy (9/5): Clean and spacious room. - spacious room right by the water. All communication was via WhatsApp- no staff at the property to ask questions about the area or the property.
- Sherri (8/5): - What a wonderful location. The owner was extremely friendly. The stairs up to the room are very steep and difficult with luggage. The toilet seat was broken. Price was reasonable. Towels were very old
- Natalie (10/5): - Right on the beach front, very peaceful and veey cosy. The room was very big, very clean and we had a view of the roman ruins at rhe back. The room had a closet for hanging clothes, refrigerator and tv. The b&b host was hospitable, made sure we were comfortable and helped to arrange a shuttle to pick us up at the airport. The driver was friendly and really helpful, when we got to the accommodation he took our luggage inside and helped us check in.
- G (10/5): Amazing value - What a find this place was .. met by the owner ( who was an extremely helpful and pleasant guy ) who sorted out the keys, once it we were blown away with the size and quality of the room but also the view over the port, Vesuvius and beyond.. 5stars from me .. would recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a problem with the Wifi Alex tried to fix it but he had to get a technician in and then it was all ok and proved to be a fast internet connection. The apartment was spacious and in an ideal position, with a great view. It would have been nice to have tea, coffee and milk available to make a drink when we arrived. We know where to stay when next in Baia.
- Minty (2/5): - NOISY - NO WIFI
Property is situated above restaurants extremely loud and noisy until 1am on Fri sat & Sun eve and midnight the rest of the week - we couldn’t sleep so decided to cancel our second night. However there was no WiFi which had been reported and promised to be fixed that afternoon but hadn’t. Therefore we messaged the owner Alessandro to cancel but refused to authorise - Expedia tried to mediate but Alessandro could only communicate in Italian and refused. Alessandro stated there would be no noise as restaurants were closed on Mondays however this was not the case and endured a further sleepless night. The breakfast is just one croissant and a coffee which was nice.
Archaeological site was excellent but would recommend looking at alternative accommodation owing to the noise.
We found Alessandro to be insincere and disingenuous as what was communicated to us was entirely different to what was stated to Expedia. Expedia were brilliant in trying to resolve a positive outcome.
- Minty (2/5): - NOISY - WIFI ISSUES - This property is situated above a strip of restaurants - it is extremely noisy until 1am fri/sat/sun eve and until midnight weekdays. We decided to cancel our second night owing to noise and no sleep - however we had no WiFi to do this via Expedia- Alessandro the owner had promised it would be fixed that day but hadn’t. Therefore messaged Alessandro directly that night explaining the problems but consequently he refused. Expedia were brilliant in trying to resolve the issue, Alessandro stated to them he could only understand Italian which was surprising as other reviews states he speaks perfect English! Needless to say we were ‘trapped’ there - Alessandro turned up Monday morning stating restaurants are closed that evening and he would refund one night for the inconvenience meaning we could stay free of charge for the Monday. However when Expedia contacted him he had no memory of this conversation! On the Monday restaurants were still loud and noisy needless to say no sleep again. We found Alessandro insincere and disingenuous in our experience during our stay.
The property itself was clean and spacious but I would not recommend the location there are plenty of other options to consider.
- Rouletta (8/5): - Fantastic location, large and comfortable room, friendly and helpful service
- Caroline (10/5): Wonderful La Rada - Had an amazing stay at La Rada in Baia. Baia is only a small town but a great base for exploring the area. Had lovely views from the room overlooking the bay of Naples. The owner of La Velo, the nearby café bar where you go for breakfast (coffee and a croissant) is very friendly and informative. He let us know where the nearby station is in Fusaro (approx. 15 minute walk) and from here you can get a train to Naples which takes about 40 minutes. He also recommended that we went to Procida, which is an Island approx. 40 minutes away and is very beautiful. Also a visit to the Castle, the Archaeological park and Bacoli were also recommended and enjoyed. A visit to the restaurant La Testado is also a must.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent Stay - A 2 night stay. Right on the front with a fantastic view, very quite.
- Teresa (10/5): Lovely B&B, close to amenities and sea - We stayed in La Rada in Baia for 2 weeks. We wanted to explore the Campi Flegrei and Naples and this was a good location to start.
Baia Archaeological Park and the submerged ruins are on the doorstep. The old Greek/Roman city of Cuma is a few kilometres away, as is Flavian’s Amphitheatre in Pozzuoli, to name but a few!
Baia is not really a tourist area like Sorrento, so English is not widely spoken, but we managed with an Italian phrase book and the patience of the lovely local people.
The buses stop by the main square and tickets can be purchased at a Tabachii shop and should be stamped using the machine on the bus. The shop in Baia doesn’t sell tickets, but they can be purchased nearby in Bacoli or at the nearest train station of Fusaro. Likewise, for train tickets.
There is so much to see and do in this area, but to get the most out of it, you need to be prepared to walk up and down hills and lots of steps!
We went out for a morning’s snorkelling with a local dive shop to see the underwater statues. It was fantastic! Some of the group were divers, but it was still possible to see them as the water was less than 5m deep. There is also a glass bottomed boat which does trips, only at the weekends.
The hotel owner was the nicest, most hospitable I’ve ever come across! He really made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Breakfast is served in a little cafe nearby, which is also hosted by lovely people.
Definitely a wonderful 2 weeks!
- Raymond J (8/5): Nice lodgings, shame about the neighbours - La Rada B & B was clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. However, the location was noisy being above numerous popular restaurants and overlooking a major parking area. The noise level from patrons and garbage & waste collection trucks in the very early hours was a negative. Their breakfast arrangement with a local cafe was great.
