• Johan van de Pol (9/5): Geweldige gastvrije ervaring bij Asahi - Super gastvrije en service gericht host, het verblijf is een beetje gedateerd maar de grootte, de ligging en de host compenseren dat in ruime mate. Wij vinden dit een absolute aanrader, zeker als je van een authentiek Japans verblijf houdt. Even wennen ter plekke maar niets viel echt tegen.

Sayuri was incredibly kind, hospitable and helpful in us planning our stay. We loved having access to the bikes to be abld to cycle around the lake and end our day at the nearby Onsen! Un Lawson ( 24h/24) se trouve également juste en face de la rue . La maison est magnifique , typiquement japonais , très confortable et très accueillante. Enfin Sayuri est extrêmement accueillante, nous accueille dans sa maison avec un e très grande gentillesse, et toujours prête à aider ( taxi, démarche quelconques ) , nous présente sa famille et partage sa gentillesse et les informations sur la ville avec une grande sincérité. Sayuri est originale de Fujiyoshida et aime profondément sa ville et nous le fait partager Absolument rien

• Niklas (10/5): Nice hotel and even nicer host - Sayuri-san is a very friendly host. She picked us up from the station and drove us there after the stay too. Checked in frequently if we needed anything and gave great tips to get around. The rooms are traditional with tatami mats, very tidy and comfortable. Each room has its own AC unit, and the living room has a kotatsu for the colder months. You have the entire upper floor to yourself, with great view of Fuji-san from each room (if the weather let's you). The 1st floor with the washroom and kitchen is shared with the host's father, but thats no problem at all. A bit of a walk to the stations and restaurants, but still achievable. Overall very enjoyable stay, more than just a place to sleep.
• Vanessa (10/5): Feels like home! - Best accommodation in Fujiyoshida!! 10 minutes walking distance to the iconic chureito pagoda, amazing window views of Mt. Fuji, big spacious rooms, fully equipped, all amenities available, clean, comfortable and cozy. Sayuri took such great care of us it really felt like a home and she truly is the greatest host by heart. Can only recommend. Next time we will definitely take advantage of the bikes. Be mindful that the bedroom is in the upper floor and you can only access it through stairs. The bathroom is in the lower floor so be aware in case you have mobility issues. Nothing - it was too perfect.

• Miriam (10/5): Japanisches Wohngefühl in familiärer Umgebung - Man hat in der Unterkunft eine großzügige, gemütliche Wohnung (mit Toilette) in einem typisch japanischen Haus zur Verfügung. Zu beachten ist hier, dass man sich das Haus (d.h. v.a. Bad/Dusche und Küche) mit einem männlichen Teil der Familie der Gastgeberin teilt, was vielleicht nicht jeder mag. Für uns war das allerdings kein Problem. Ich fand es tatsächlich schade, dass wir erst bei der Abreise Kontakt zu dieser Person hatten. Sie hat einen sehr freundlichen Eindruck gemacht. :-) Die Lage ist in einem Wohngebiet und ein Stück vom Bahnhof weg, aber die absolut tolle Gastgeberin bietet einen Shuttleservice an und ist auch sonst extrem hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt und werden wieder hier übernachten, wenn wir in Fujiyoshida sind. Für uns war alles in Ordnung. Im Nachhinein war es schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

• MELODIE (10/5): - Maison traditionnelle bien située. Les vélos à disposition sont très pratiques pour faire le tour du lac kawaguchiko. La pagode Chureito se situe juste a côté (15min a pied) si vous souhaité voir le lever du soleil. Sayuri est une hôte très attentionnée, d'une grande gentillesse. Elle est venue nous chercher et nous raccompagner en voitureba la gare, ce qui est très pratiques quand on a des valises. Nous avons été très bien conseillé pour les restaurants de proximité. Le restaurant d'okonomiyaki et de hoto (spécialité de la région) sont absolument à faire ! Nous recommandons à 100%.
• Raul (10/5): Perfecta para una estancia de descanso - La comunicación con Sayuri (la dueña de la casa) es muy buena; ella es muy agradable y servicial. Nos indicó como llegar a la estación desde Kioto y nos vino a recoger con su coche para llevarnos a la casa, y de igual forma nos dejó en la estación al día siguiente. La casa está ubicada en una zona tranquila y a poca distancia de varios sitios turisticos. Es espaciosa y tiene todo lo necesario para la estancia. Desde dos de las habitaciones se ve el Mt. Fuji, lo cuál está muy bien ya que pese a que el tiempo no acompañaba durante el amanecer está más despejado y pudimos ver gran parte de él. Nos gustó todo. El padre de Sayuri vive en la planta baja y hace uso de las instalaciones cuando no hay nadie; a nosotros no nos importó, pero quizás es importante saberlo antes de hacer la reserva (sobretodo grupos ruidosos o parejas que quieran más intimidad)

She provided us with warm clothing, gave us rides to the park, and recommended some amazing local spots. Her hospitality and kindness made our stay truly special. • Eider (10/5): Una experiencia maravillosa en un entorno maravilloso - Lo que más nos gustó fue el trato de Sayuri, es una mujer excelente, llena de luz, amable y muy servicial, más de lo debido. Nos recogió el coche a la estación, nos llevó al parque de atracciones, nos volvió a recoger... Sólo por eso ya es de agradecer todo lo que ha hecho por nosotros. La casa es preciosa, muy clásica y con vistas de lujo al monte Fuji. Volveremos sin duda. Absolutamente nada, todo fue perfecto.

• Abigail (10/5): Phenomenal stay and hospitality - I honestly couldn’t recommend Asahi and Sayuri enough. From the beginning, before even arriving to Japan, Sayuri made recommendations and answered any questions I had She has picked us up from Kawaguchiko, with a car that was suitable for our needs (we have two young kids). Sayuri even dropped us at Kawaguchiko the next day to make our day easier to handle, and dropped us off when we checked out. Our kids really enjoyed the time in the house. The view from the house is amazing, the location is easy to get to. 10 minutes flat walk to the nearest station, 10 minutes flat walk to the Pegoda, and it was just perfect. 3 rooms, plenty of space. Aside from the above, Sayuris dad was there too and he was very nice. I wish I could speak Japanese so I could communicate more with him 😬

• Le (10/5): Great stay and the host is awesome! - Great location to see Mt Fuji, walkable to Chureito Pagoda and Honcho street. It's a traditional japanese house, but there's a lot of attention to detail to make things comfortable. The host was extremely generous and picked us up and dropped us off at Kawaguchiko Station which was a huge help with all our luggage. Also she helped us plan which bus to arrive and which bus to leave on which was awesome. Definitely would stay again

• Jateen (8/5): A lovely property with views of Mount Fugi and an AMAZING host - The host, Sayuri was an amazig host and so so helpful in all aspects from before we arrived to after we went. She gave us great help in how to get there, came to collect us from the bus station and provided all tips of where to go and how to get there during the stay. The property is spacious and has amazing views of Mount Fuji from the bedrooms. Our only regret was that we wish we could have stayed longer. Bathroom was downstairs from the sleeping rooms and is shared with her Father, which is ok but with young daughters not ideal.

• Lesley (10/5): Relaxing, enjoyable, family bonding, meeting new friends - Sayuri proved to be an exceptionally gracious and knowledgeable host, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. From providing transportation to reserving and covering the cost of seats (until we could immediately reimburse her), her generosity was truly remarkable. Our exploration of the nearby surroundings on the complimentary bicycles was enhanced by their excellent condition, overcoming any initial hesitation I had. This experience became a precious opportunity to connect with our children in a relaxed manner. Our stay was nothing short of delightful, prompting us to plan a return in September. The captivating view from our bedroom balconies only added to the charm, as captured in the photos we highly recommend checking out. Despite not sticking to our initial plans due to the sheer enjoyment of our stay, our two days were incredibly relaxing. Sleeping in late was a testament to the comfort and pleasure we found during our time there. A short stroll to the Chureito Pagoda and a bike ride to Yamanashi provided additional memorable moments, contributing to an overall wonderful experience. We should have booked for longer ;) Otherwise we had a fabulous time and would recommend everyone to stay here. All 5 members of our party loved staying here.
• Yoav (10/5): Excellent hospitality, space, location and value for money - We enjoyed staying one night at Sayuri's house very much. We arrived driving and she waited outside the house to direct and greet us. She's a fluent English speaker and we felt very comfortable and welcome. Our accomodation was very spacious and clean. We had three bedrooms and a living room with a kotatsu. The facilities were clean and organized. There's a kitchen we used for breakfast. We also did the laundry, baths, everything needed for a short or long stay. The location is very good. A walking distance from the Chureito pagoda, a short driving distance from Kawaguchico lake and very near a Lawson grocery store. If I'll be back in Japan I'll definitely stay there longer None

• Wiratman (10/5): We're lucky to find the guest house, the host has been very helpful for driving us from the train station and the pl - The place is large and clean, we really enjoy cycling to Chureito Pagoda with free bicycle from the guest house. We had pleasant time for every breakfast at the terrace. There're complete kitchenware to use and they have many collection dishes. Definitely will stay here again if there's any chance to come back here. Nothing, everything's perfect

The location is very practical for visiting the pagoda by bike and the region. Her property is traditional, well apportioned and serviced and the fact she only rents to one family makes it special for a family stop. Sayuri is exceptionally kind, speaks good English (which is helpful), has recommendations that we very much appreciated and practical maps.
