The stairs that other guests had mentioned as difficult seemed absolutely fine to us. It wasn’t a problem for us, but if you have young children who are sensitive to noise you should be aware that the restaurants outside are noisy until about 11pm. The twin room is away from the windows overlooking this street.

Great Host! - Stavros (host) helped us with transportation from the airport upon arrival and someone meet us at our arrival time to show us the flat. Stavros was always available if we had any questions. The Flat was spacious and comfortable. close to everything in the Psyri neighborhood. and within walking distance of the Acropolis. and other Athens Sites. Everything was clean and spacious in the flat and also it had a washer machine for those hot days in Athens. Efcharisto poli Stavros. bonus: we went to Tavern LITHOS below the flat and the food/service were amazing.
• Bethan (10/5): A gem in the heart of Athens - excellent stay! - We loved everything about this property and would highly recommend to others. Honestly have so many positive things to say! The apartment is so spacious, looked after and clean. Loved that there is a full kitchen, and really appreciated the welcome drinks and ample coffee pods! Check-in was easy and the hosts great with communication. Absolutely loved the little balcony, such a nice place to sit and overlook the street. The apartment is also surprisingly quiet; we were a little worried it might be noisy because it’s a bustling area, but it really was quiet in the bedrooms - ideal (especially as we were in Athens for work)! The location is also excellent, in a lovely central neighbourhood, close to local restaurants, bars, shops, gelato - everything you could need. So many GOOD and reasonably priced restaurants in Psyri too, compared to other areas like Plaka (including the restaurant downstairs from this apartment, and a few others just around the corner). Psyri is more of a local vibe than other heavily tourist areas, so you get to see a brilliant side of Athens life. 😊 Already thinking about when I can come back, and would highly recommend this place to friends/couples/families! Nothing!

He was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. I’d stay here again for sure! I like king sized beds, but I know that’s hard to find in Greece.

• Carly (8/5): Very good - Awesome, large apartment in a fun part of Athens for tourists. Lots of space for our family of 4, large bathroom which is a great family sizr, and decent sized kitchen. It's in the main restaurant area near the Acropolis, so it is busy and noisy, but the windows are solid and keep out most of the noise. Cute balcony to sit on and watch the world go by. Well stocked with towels and kitchen stuff. Washing machine and dryer very helpful. Very cool decor, and a comfy place to come back to in the mid arvo heat for a siesta. You get a discount at the restaurant downstairs, we ate there one night and it was very good. Stavros, the manager, was lovely and helpful. The only thing I'd mention is that the stairs are not for the faint-hearted/anyone with a mobility disability/very small children. They are incredibly steep, even for Europe. We were ok, although my 5 year old struggled a little, mostly because he can't go anywhere carefully, lol.

• Karim (9/5): Beautiful apartment. Zero customer service. - Great location, beautifully decorated apartment with amazing floor coloring and ceiling decor. Balcony was super. Staff welcomed us once when we came. And helped with bags. The female blonde staff was in such a hurry. Barely showed us the apartment. No one ever checked back on us even though we were right above the restaurant. Requested creamer for the coffee and the response was to get it from super market. We paid $800 for the apartment booking. Disappointing service from the person responding to messages even though any one of the service staff could have taken a minute to deliver created from the restaurant.
• Peggy (10/5): Feel like a local and enjoy this fabulous apartment in the heart of Athens - Wonderful - This place is fabulous. Everything was wonderful. Communication was very good for check in. In the perfect part of town (Athens) to walk and see the sights, shop, and find tons of restaurants. This apartment is on the second floor, no lift. However, the nice lady who met us for check in had a gentleman carry our luggage upstairs for us. The apartment had great air conditioning, great beds, an equipped kitchen and a great living room and dining room with a cute balcony. A very large bathroom with separate shower and tub. Everything about it was really nice. The manager works at the restaurant downstairs, and we ate there one evening. The restaurant food was delicious and right downstairs!!!! Walkability to all tourist sites is very easy. Easy to secure a ride to the airport. I enjoyed the coffee and tea in the kitchen, made a cup each day and sat out on our cute little balcony. I would stay here again. Loved our stay Loved it all!!!!

• Ashley (10/5): Can't miss spot! - This was the best place to stay upon arrival in Athens. We were immediately able to meet with the Host, who graciously let us have access to the apartment earlier than expected/than they were ready - we must have looked tired. He told us to get settled and come down to the tavern for dinner. In getting settled, we walked the neighborhood-it feels walkable and centrally located to just about everything! We took the host up on the offer to eat at the tavern downstairs - Lithos Tavern. It did not disappoint. It was VERY good. So good, in fact, that we returned for dinner the next night upon the family's request (even though we tend to not be people that repeat places - especially on a once in a lifetime vacation. We want to see and do everything!) He also gave recommendations on must-see places. The apartment itself was nice, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed putting our kids to sleep (in the quieter of the two rooms), and sitting out on the balcony and people watch. As everyone states, the stairs are steep. The host was able to help us upon arrival, but we had to manage with luggage upon departure. It didn't bother us, but its something you should be mindful of.

• Adriana (10/5): I would absolutely stay here again. So pleased with our decision to stay here. - It's scary going to a new country and not speaking the language. However the owner of this property speaks perfect English and also owns the restaurant downstairs. All you have to do is go to the restaurant and they will tell him your there. Again we didn't have Internet so I was scared. It could not have been more easy. The Internet at the property was so fast and reliable. The air conditioning was fantastic. Worked great in every room and also helps draw out the outside noise. The location is everything. Hundreds of restaurants in every direction. Quick walk to the acropolis. When they say 20 minutes away I think they mean the actual entrance. It was so very close. I would absolutely stay here again. The balcony was fabulous too. Having our coffee there every morning was a great start to the day. Washer and dryer. We could not have been more pleased.

• Allison (10/5): Exceptional - We LOVED staying at ArtDeco Athens! Such a beautiful and unique property. It was very easy to get the keys, we were met upon arrival. It is located right in the old city section of Athens on a beautiful street. The cute balcony overlooking the street, the beautiful kitchen, bedrooms, sitting room, ornate pillars and artwork - we felt like royalty and didn't want to leave. It was a bit bigger than we needed for just two of us but we were very happy to have the extra space, such a luxury when traveling, and it felt very comfortable. Definitely would stay here again, and great value for the price! They even stocked the fridge with some nice little welcome items for us, beverages and such. If you are debating between locations, definitely choose this one.

The door was EXTREMELY hard to open and felt we needed better instructions on how to open it. We felt the door expanded with the heat in the hallway during the day making it more difficult to open. We had to find a neighbor downstairs to help us and she said to turn 3 times and push the key out a bit then push which we never would have figured out on our own.

• Fukiko (10/5): Best holiday rental apartment to enjoy Athens. - Beautifuly furnished and high quality renovated late 19th century apartment with original period features; tiles, cornicing and windows, etc. Functional amenities with very well equiped kitchen with generous supply of drinks, butter, jam and coffee capuls. Large beautiful bathroom with lots of hot water with nice body soap and shampoo. Centrally located with very good restaurants and bakery in a few mins walk, but still very quiet. The owner was super responsive, even during the pentecost holiday.

Helpful host - Stavros Front bedroom does have some street noise but this is what comes from staying above restaurants, location made up for it. Steep staircase to climb with bags etc.

Sitting on the terrace with some local snacks and vino soaking up the atmosphere is a highlight. The area is a buzz of activity, restaurants, cafes, bars, all literally on your doorstep. We loved this area and Stavros’ apartment so much.

• Connor (10/5): Amazing in every way! - Our stay at Artdecoathens was every bit of extraordinary. The apartment was clean, in a central area with tons of shopping and food around. The apartment itself was huge and fully stocked with everything you’d find in your own home. Besides the apartment, our host Stavros was beyond what a host should be. He catered to everything we needed and went over and above by taking time out of his day to personally sit and talk with us and help plan our daily itinerary. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. He also has his own restaurant downstairs which is always busy and for a good reason because his food was amazing. If you are thinking of booking this place for your stay don’t second guess, do it! Thank you again for everything Stavros! Nothing at all
• Katalin (10/5): Perfect, gorgeous place for visiting Athens! - It is a marvelous place in the strict city center! Gorgeous apartment in classical architecture style with classical interior design. It is just beautiful. Extremely comfortable beds, huge rooms and bathroom. Well equipped kitchen with free of charge water, coffee, tea and soft drinks as welcome presents.

• Irina (9/5): Superb - The place was great in terms of cleanliness, location, etc. We got what we were told we would get. What surprised me in a very pleasant way though: 1. how quiet the place was inspite of having the window leading directly into the busy street! (the apt. has 2 bedrooms and you can also chose to stay further away from the street; we took a risk by sleeping in the bedroom with the window on the noisy street and it paid off) We got nothing of the street noise during the night and were able to have very restful and peaceful evenings/nights. 2. the communication with the host was fantastic ! we arrived in the middle of the night and even though we were all set with the keys in the lock and pictures of how to manage the process of entering the building and the apartment, the host still made sure there was someone waiting for us downstairs to help us with this process. Great experience, great location, amazing apartment!
• Mary (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is spacious, well resourced and located very central to Athens restaurants and attractions. The owner Stavros is very helpful and runs the restaurant downstairs that has fantastic food. Fully recommend this property for an Anthens holiday.
• Melinda (10/5): This place helped make our stay Athens as nice as we hoped it would be! - Artdecoathens is centrally located, surrounded with restaurants, cafes, bars, Abad very close to shopping and archaeological sites. The house offers great space for our family if 4, is aptly furnished and supplied. The host was also very responsive and helpful to us. There are stairs going up to the apartment which we managed well but if you have big bags, it will be difficult to bring up.

• Shaun (10/5): INCREDIBLE - WINNING ACCOMMODATION - We had the most incredible stay at this gem of an apartment. From arrival to departure it was bliss. Spacious and Comfy. We were greeted by friendly staff. They assisted in carrying all of our suitcases up the staircase (which is quite steep) before showing us around. The fridge had been filled with colddrinks together with a bottle of wine. We immediately sat on the lovely Juliet balcony and enjoyed the atmosphere of the bustling area below whilst having a sundowner. A short while after, there was a knock on the door and a platter of fresh fruit was presented - a gift from the host. From arrival to departure we were spoilt by the host. We cannot say thank you enough to Stavros for his incredible hospitality. Stavros went beyond the norm to make us feel extra special and made us feel like we had chosen the winning accommodation of the season. The apartment is well appointed with everything you could wish for for a short or longer stay. The beds were comfortable. An apartment to be recommended to all and everyone. The restaurant below the apartment, Lithos Tavern, is owned by the host. The fact that we ate there every night of our stay is a testament to the quality of the restaurant. Not a problem for us but a note for others,...The stairs up to the apartment could be a problem for some.

• Jonathan (10/5): Great area, in apartment with great character - Area was amazing, such a nice part of Athens. Close to Monastiraki, some really good restaurants in the area. We felt very safe. The apartment was extremely cute, plenty of air conditioning in living area and bedrooms, great amenities. Balcony was awesome overlooking the pretty street. Good soundproofing, could barely hear the hustle and bustle of the restaurant and street below. Our 1 year old slept undisturbed. Would definitely come again. The only con was the Staircase, but it is an old building so all apartments are like that in the old area of athens.
• Achim (10/5): In the pulsating center of Athens - Stavros arranged transfer from port Lavrion on short notice, very good communication. Warm welcome by Stavros' restaurant staff, giving some explanations to the appartment and location. The appartment is huge! Fridge filled with bottles of water, wine, soft drinks, very much appreciated! Furthermore coffee capsules, butter, jam for having some breakfast. Sound insulation is quite good, we slept very well although there is a lot of nightlife around. Monastiraki square approx. 5 minuts by feet, area provides a very high number of bars, restaurants, etc.. Mary Poppins' "Litte Kook" around the corner. Not applicable.

It is huge, stylish, high ceilings, massive bathroom with a huge shower and separate bath, very large kitchen, very large bedrooms, a gorgeous balcony to have a quiet coffee in the morning and then watch the area come alive during the day and night. We loved the people watching from the balcony. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped with all things needed including drinks in fridge (water, soft drinks, juice, wine) and an endless supply of coffee pods to use with the much appreciated coffee machine, jam, butter etc. Fully equipped kitchen. Slippers, robes, huge wardrobe, large dining table as well as kitchen table, comfortable huge lounge room. There’s so much more. The pictures don’t do it justice as it’s even better in real life. We loved the history of the building and original architecture which had been beautifully restored whilst retaining its character. The aircon worked beautifully and we slept well and were able to relax in comfort when returning from the heat outside. It’s like a house not an apartment it’s that big. The value for money is excellent. The area is fantastic. Such a fun and cool vibe. Lots of cafes, restaraunts, bars and beautiful shops with unique things as opposed to the usual tourist stuff in plaka etc. We walked everywhere - to acropolis, syntagma, monastiraki, plaka, rooftop bars- everything is so close. We absolutely loved our stay here. It was one of our favourite accomodation. We will come back and stay here again. It was very special. The host Stavros is a wonderful man and great at communication helping us along the way with taxi to ferry port. He was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Stavros. • Wayne (10/5): Huge, well appointed apartment in a fantastic location! - Huge, well appointed apartment in a fantastic location! The bedrooms were large and it had fantastic living/dining and kitchen areas. The bathroom was very big and well appointed. It's in a great part of Athens, with many bars and restaurants at your door step. It even has a little balcony to sit out on to watch all the action below. Also an easy walk to the acropolis and surrounds. Stavros the host went above and beyond and organised my sons AirPods to be shipped to our next destination Paros (he left them on the bedside table...). Thanks Stavros!!

• Dr_cosmic (10/5): Superb private hideaway in the heart of the city - This is an exceptional apartment, tastefully furnished and well-appointed, in the heart of the lively Psirri district of Athens. It's over a popular restaurant, up a private flight of stairs. Staying here was like being an aristocrat for a few days with a personal townhouse above the busy streets. The two bedrooms are at opposite sides of the apartment, good for privacy. The bathroom features a huge shower cubicle, a whirlpool bath, and twin wash stands. The kitchen has hobs, a microwave, coffee machine, fridge etc, and we were provided with soft drinks, some snacks, tea and coffee, and a bottle of wine. There's a flat roof for sunbathing (possibly) or drying clothes. The living room is spectacular and comfortable with TV, couches, Corinthian columns (!) and a balcony from which to view the city life down below. It was lovely just to have so much space. Everything worked smoothly - booking, getting the keys, etc - and it was a bargain compared with hotel prices in this area. -

• Cenk (10/5): Amazingly chic stay in a very central location!! - We fell in love with the Artdeco, I cant even know where to start. The location is amazing at the center of Psiri, for sure you are gonna love to choose this location. And for the house, if you wanna experience a private stay at a historical greek building its definitely a place to be. Everything was vintage but beautifully renovated, even though our location was very central we had no problem with the noise at all (thanks to soundproofing). This place has the most beautiful bathroom and kitchen I have ever seen recently. Last but not least, our host was very responsive, helpful and communicative before and during our stay, he was very helpful for our luggage, the amenities inside the house was magnificent. I dont even need to state how clean and the beautiful the place was. It was exactly like the photos. I would definitely recommend you to stay here and cant wait to come back.

• Smilesback (10/5): This stay exceeded our expectations in every area! - Amazing host, very available, caring and supportive of meeting our travel needs for taxi, information about area, sightseeing and good places to eat nearby. Loved being able to walk within 30 minutes to all the famous tourist attractions. Really liked the outstanding restaurant, Lithos for dinners so close to apartment, which is very spacious, kitchen well equipped, beds super comfy, quiet and good sleep, easy check in and check out, value is superb, location near restaurants and sightseeing. We immediately were reassured that there are people to help us day and night. So understanding and we had a great holiday. Nothing.

• Emma (10/5): Spacious apartment in lively neighbourhood - The apartment is gorgeous and the location is great - main sights are within walking distance and there's plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants round about. We were thoroughly entertained 'people watching' from the balcony and the owner's restaurant downstairs was also super! The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy given the restaurants and bars downstairs. This might bother light sleepers but with some earplugs it was not a problem at all for us (or our young children). Actually we loved how lively the place was.

Abundance of restaurants and eateries nearby. Apartment is on 2nd floor on top of Lithos Travern. It is very spacious, clean and with a complete kitchen. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Washing and dryer worked well. Bed is comfortable. Sunny balcony, great for morning coffee. Street noise from below during busy nights. Cushion need replacement for all dinning room chairs.

• Anushka (9/5): Well located large property - perfect for a stay in Athens! - Overall the property is located in the best touristy area of Athens. Super close to all the bars, restaurants and shops so it’s very easy to get around. Property itself is beautiful, well laid out and extremely large. Beds were lovely and comfy and they kit the place out very well. Even left some complimentary drinks in the fridge which were much appreciated! I’m surprised more people haven’t mentioned it in their reviews but because of its central location it’s very noisy at night. It wasn’t warm enough to have the air con on so perhaps we heard it more than others but if you’re a light sleeper maybe best to bring ear plugs!

Great location amongst lots of restaurants & bars, easy to walk to tourist spots. Met the owner at the restaurant downstairs who was super friendly. The music at places nearby might go on a little late for some people's preferences (it was fine for us). Once that stopped it was very quiet.

The apartment was above our expectations, it was spacious, well equipped, and very nicely designed. But, above all, the hospitality and warm welcome from Stravos and his brother was incredible. So nice to meet good people like them, that are willing to help out with anything. They own the restaurant downstairs from the apartment, which turned out to be one of the best we found in Athens. We will definitely come back Nothing. It was perfect.
