- Rajesh Rauniyar (10/5): Good Stay - I only stayed one night, but everything was super easy. The instructions were clear and they even put my name outside my room, so it was easy to find. Also, it was good to see the Alpacas roaming around outside. The only thing was the internet was a bit tricky to connect since it only worked outside the room, not inside. It wasn't a huge deal, but it would be nice if the range was extended. Other than that, it was all good.

- DEBORAH (6/5): Did not meet expectations - Very quiet. Alpacas were friendly Old and run down. Blinds filthy. Very basic. Bathroom spacious and clean. Owner came into my room when i was out. Was shocked. On major highway. Very hard to get in and out.
- Andrea (10/5): Luxury amidst beauty! - The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean, and the property itself was beautiful. We had gorgeous views out our windows and were greeted by friendly alpacas. We loved the continental breakfast, tea and coffee provided in our rooms, as well as the towel warmers in the bathrooms and lovely views off our back porch. The Homestead is nestled in rolling green hills and we thoroughly enjoyed the location as well as our host. The only drawback we experienced was getting to the property. It is located just off a divided highway, which means if you are coming from the east, you must travel past the location, exit the highway and re-enter on the eastbound side to be able to access the property’s driveway. This really isn’t a big deal, but Google Maps didn’t figure this out so after an already long drive, we drove another ten minutes out of our way trying to figure out how to gain access.

- Trichka (3/5): Disappointing stay due to very poor cleanliness, which resulted in us leaving early. - The location was convenient. We stayed in the King Suite. On arrival there were spiderwebs and spiders throughout the room, including above the bed and on the wall behind it. The curtains were dirty with visible mud at the top and appeared not to have been cleaned for a long time. The bowls and cups in the room were full of dead bugs, so we didn’t feel comfortable using them. Due to these issues, we chose to leave early and stayed only one night instead of the two nights booked.

- Bruce (1/5): Don't go here - owner was same nationality as my wife,the llamas were cute Badly organised,we booked 2 suites but were offered one and a room in the farm house...as it was for our 19yo daughter we opted for two rooms in farm house so we could be close.The facilities were very old and unclean...the breakfast was a continental one but I had doubts on its freshness so we didnt partake..The bedding and linen certainly didnt have a fresh smell to them, quite the opposite.My wife thinks she detected tiny insects in bed

- David (8/5): Nice unit in quiet and relaxing rural setting - Much enjoyed the rural aspect with great views across the paddocks to the hills. Also, the ultra friendly Alpacas in the paddock alongside the unit who kept guard on us overnight. The light breakfast provided was also appreciated in a nice well-lit unit with a deck and bbq table outside had the morning weather been better. Access is a bit of a problem if you are driving towards Cambridge from the south or wanting to head north towards Hamilton, because of the mid road safety fence, requiring a 5 km diversion in the wrong direction to get back to square one on the right side of the road. A small breakfast table in the unit would be helpful.

- Philip (8/5): Nice simple accommodation - The one staff person we met was very friendly and helpful. Llamas in the garden! Great view of the mountain. It is right next to SH 1 so can be quite noisy, and the windows do not shut well. Access is a very sharp turn off the highway, easily missed and a 2.5km detour if you need to turn back! This also means that getting into Cambridge is a bit tricky. It is impossible to make a right turn onto the highway, which would be very dangerous even if it was allowed, so you have to turn left and then drive 2.4km to a turning place.

- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional facility and staff - This facility was just out of town in the peacefull countryside. When we arrived we were met by a wonderful welcome committee of 3 very friendly Elpacas who all enjoyed a good pat and scratch of their ears ! The unit itself was warm and conformable with exceptional fittings and facilities - we could highly recommend this as a destination for a nice quite and comfortable stay at the end of a busy day Everything was fantastic-

- SoundByte (8/5): Quaint - A nice country feel. Our room was part of the old homestead and was very large. Alpacas in the yard on the way to the room were friendly. Comfy bed. The room smelled a bit musty. The shower was not in great condition. Some of the crockery wasn't clean, like it had been sitting unused for awhile and had gathered some dust.

- Andrea (9/5): An enjoyable experience especially for animal lovers - Very clean ,well presented,lots of bedding to keep us warm. The host was warm welcoming and helpful. The alpacas and cow were a highlight,very friendly enjoying lots of pats. Breakfast on the patio was a great bonus. We missed the turning into the driveway,a bit tricky turning off a 100km rd. Got it second time around !!

- Janelle (10/5): Homely quiet stay on the fully equiped Homestead - What a wonderful homely farm homestead you have 🐄🐮🐑🦙. 22minutes out of Hamilton. Owner friendly and helpful. Loved having Bobbie visit in the Morning along with his friends. Lovely having Cereal,Toast,milk,biscuits and preserves available. The unit had everything you would need with modern appliances. Also loved seeing the Cows walking past going off to be milked and also seeing the big Bull and sheep on the property. You could hardly hear the traffic its very quiet.. Bed was very comfortable also.. Aircon was great we had a lovely warm stay and the shower pressure was AMAZING. I would love to stay again.

- Judy (8/5): Very good - Comfortable and warm. Seeing the Animals roaming in the yard brought a smile to my face. Basic Continental breakfast was sufficient. Good parking. Very hard to locate after sundown - google map directed us to wrong address. Small shower
- Adam (10/5): Excellent adventure – would definitely do it again! - We loved the critters at the place!! it was so much fun to share snacks with turkeys, llamas, and a bull. Also made for really interesting pictures. It was kind of hard to get to.

- Sharon (8/5): A lovely room with a view - The room was spacious and bright. There was an excellent heat pump. Everything was clean and well presented. Breakfast supplies were great. Better signage would be helpful - it's a busy road so some warning about the B&B entrance would make it safer & easier to find.
- AKIRA (10/5): - Waking up to misty mountains in the distance was a way to start to the day. The animal friends in the yard was a bonus. It’s a cute, quiet place which allows you to relax and enjoy the world around you.
- Phylina (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our farm stay at Homestead B&B - It was a delightful experience to wake up to a beautiful scenery surrounded by alpacas and other farm animals. We had a fun time feeding and interacting with the alpacas. There are sheep and birds and also cows strolling nearby. Waking up to fresh air and beautiful sunrise is wonderful. The amenities are clean and decent. There are fruit trees like avocados, oranges, lemons and grapefruit. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. Nil

- Verified traveler (10/5): B and B with Animals - Good place to stay although quite cold in the lockwood style cabins even with the heatpump running.
- Michelle (6/5): Accommodation ok - The accommodation was reasonable. Nothing great but nothing awful. It was difficult to enter the property from the main road in one direction. You have to drive a long way to get to where you can turn around as it is on a divided road.
- William (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet and restful The basin in the bathroom was on top of the bench and as I am a short person I found it difficult to wash my hands! There were a few flies due to the turkey & alpaca droppings but the owner provided flyspray.

- Julie (4/5): Alpacas were cute but….. - The outlook from our room was sheets on the washing line. The property manager attacked the alpacas with a broom. He saw me watching but carried on. Lots of flies. They were immune to the fly spray. Very dirty under the microwave and behind the TV. No cloths or bath mat provided

- Linda (8/5): Great, quiet and comfortable stay, thank you. - Well set out, comfortable and tasteful unit. Great shower, close to Cambridge. Continental breakfast included, was a lovely bonus. Bed was a little firmer than what we are used to. Animals were lovely but just had to watch out for Turkey droppings where you walked.
- Vassella (8/5): Farm stay - Clean room, free breakfast, good hot shower. Nice and quiet once you in property, but located on busy highway 100 k.p.h. as soon as you leave gate and only able to turn left.
