- khair (5/5): It's just for one fast night , it doesn't help to stay longer than one night especially for families - The staff are very friendly and helpful , the breakfast was good but not enough The breakfast is not enough, the balcony was full of water so you can't go out , and there is no comfortable shower zone, and the AC is too weak

- mayara (1/5): Muito ruim e de pessima qualidade. - Apenas a localização Para acessar o hotel é preciso subir várias escadas, o elevador não parava no andar, estava com minha mãe e avó de 80 anos que teve muita dificuldade para subir as escadas. A pessoa que estava na portaria não conseguia se comunicar em inglês e tive muitos problemas para resolver os problemas que se apresentavam. A internet não funcionou nas 24hs que fiquei no hotel. As dependências do hotel estavam sujas. Enfim, havia reservado por duas noites, mas tive que sair antes. Não recomendo essa estadia.

The area is very lively and has many wonderful tourist areas and wonderful Egyptian restaurants. The location is good because it is really Close to all places and they even have discounts and offers on everything at a comfortable price. I even thought everything was far away, but on the contrary, everything is close to me. The area is always crowded and sometimes the hotel doesn't have any rooms but that's because it's a good hotel so I hope they will have more rooms

This is not the first time I have stayed at the hotel and my family loved the place and the cleanliness of the rooms.... What is also special is that they always give discounts to the hotel so I can stay at any time.And at any price, I do not suffer from that, and they can also wait to pay the money, and this is a very excellent thing. Marco und sein Team sind mega nett und sehr unkompliziert. Man findet immer eine gute Lösung! Ob Frühstück im Schwesterhotel, Kofferaufbewahrung oder Tipps für das Abendessen. Alles ist ein wenig entspannter! Nichts für Reisehyperhektiker 😉.

We got a nice welcome drink and snack while waiting for our room to be ready (before check-in time), as well as some good tips for places to see and eat in. The stuff was very friendly and even discouraging you from tipping, which felt like a breath of fresh air and made the hospitability feel genuine. The room was.spottless-clean as was the whole place. We only had 1 night here, but we would definitely stay here again next time in Cairo.

- Didem (7/5): Good - The staff were nice but there was a language barrier. It was complicated to understand each other but they were really nice. The room was big and comfortable. It wasnt cold or depressing. Location was perfect. We found everything we need. The room wasnt all clean. Bathroom was so little and there were water leaks so we didnt feel clean and we constantly have to go to the bathroom with our shoes.

- Thomas (8/5): Fair deal - Overall a decent hotel in the heartbeat of the old city and shows character. The television did not work and the internet was hit and miss but we managed. They also provide a simple breakfast in the morning
- Jana (6/5): - If you are looking for a budget accomodation, than this hostel is great( not sure why it is advertised on Expedia as luxury guesthouse, when sign in the property saying Hostgram Hostel). Overall it's a nice accomodation. We liked our big room with balcony overlooking Talaat Harb Street( it might be too noisy for some people, bear in mind that this street is very busy with cars all the time, but we didn't mind that). Breakfast is basic. Well when we asked about breakfast, we were told by the girl in reception that it's Egyptian beans, falafel, cheese etc, but then she brought us only boiled eggs, triangle cheese, jam, bread and tomatoes with cucumber. When asked where are beans and falafel, she said it's not allowed in the hostel....yet 20 minutes later, when we left our room, she was sitting in the reception with other guests offering them beans and falafel? Do they give different breakfast to different guests depending who they like? Never mind, we wouldnt eat it anyway, but no need to be so obvious. I think the best of all is the location of this place, opposite is a famous bakery so you can get your baked goods and cakes there and round the corner is great coffee shop called SIP. Also this hostel is based on first floor, so not really suitable for those with mobility problems as I am not sure if the lift works.
- Hind (1/5): All what is mentioned in the website is lies!!!! - Perhaps the price but very quickly regretted my decision once there; There is nothing to like! The location, the noise, the windows that did not close, the dirt ( flies and mosquitoes and no spray available), the lack of all the facilities listed in the website( no top sheet, no towels, no door key: we have to ask for all of these before getting them!). More importantly, the fact that it was a hostel when it was advertised as a 3 star hotel!!!!!! Furthermore, I chose that hotel as it was the only one to offer a room with a double bed. It took them two days, before moving us in one with a double bed, but a very noisy one!

- Joshua (2/5): - I didn’t receive the room I paid for, they basically held me hostage and said I can cancel or change my room after one night. Mind you the room was like a closet and the shower was basically a hose sticking out of the wall next to the toilet. I had paid for a queen and twin room. I had no choice but to stay. The next day I tried canceling through Expedia. The manage pretended not to know English or just didn’t answer their phone while looking me in the eye. Do not go here, I felt unsafe and Expedia was not able to issue me a refund. Expedia has no control of their partners.

Marco, the host, is very kind and honest—his advice was always in our best interest, which is rare in Cairo. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, and Rania, the cook, made delicious food. Overall, good value for the price. Poor noise isolation, making it hard to sleep at night, because of the traffic noise. Cleanliness of the room can be improved.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful experience - "Deluxe" room stank of smoke, had an ensuite with a partial wall and a toilet over the shower, the sink was leaky and the room was right next to reception. I checked out in the middle of the night because I didn't feel that I was safe from the taxi driver who dropped me off - he had written down my name and hotel and told me he wanted to sleep with me. I checked out within an hour of checking in and the hotel are refusing to refund my stay when I didn't use their facilities. Stay away!

- Rémi (8/5): Comfortable hotel in the center of Cairo - Very good location near the Egyptian museum. The balcony with sofas was a big plus. Some bathrooms have the toilet seats in the shower, which is a bit inconvenient and leaves a lot of water around the toilets after taking a shower.

- Moonchild (4/5): If you are a young and adventurous traveller, go for it! - Central Cairo location was good to explore Cairo. The driver who worked with the hotel was kind and good. The trafic from the main road was quite noisy. The cleaning, emptying rubbish bin, changing the towels were not provided daily. My partner was only provided one small towel for five days. A fresh towel was provided two hours before our departure.

- Julia (6/5): quite good bed-and-breakfast hotel - The hotel has good location - easy to reach from Go bus station and to the Museum, has good cafes nearby. We had a room for 3 persons. It was large and had a balcony with nice view to the street. The room was not very clean - the floor was dusty, spots on the blankets. There was meal and drinks left by the previous visitors in the fridge. Still the host Marco and managers on the reception were very hospitable and helpful. There were no problem with the water or the light. Wi fi connection was good. There’s very noisy street under the balcony, but after a tour to Pyramids we have no problem with sleep. Breakfast was simple but quite all right for us - yogurt, bread, cheese, eggs, tomatoes and cucumbers. There’s a kitchen in the hotel, if you want to make tea or warm some meal. To sum it up the hotel is quite all right to stay for a day or two.

Mais je reste sceptique sur le fonctionnement de cet hotel...nous arrivons et l'hôte marco nous propose de nous.metre dans 1 aitre hotel...nous avions vue 1 precedent commentaire ou la.personne netait pas contente de l'autre hotel..alors nous refusons..nous comprenons pas l'offre car lhotel a lair vide...bref au final il nous montre une chambre plutot grande et jolie et nous acceptons.. Confort du lit affreux,matelas completement mort...salle de bain tres simple mais suffisant pour se laver etc... Petit dej,plateau avec crudités pain et yaourt..pas top mais pour le.prix on chipote pas. Fenetre simple vitrage,cirxulation intense sous les fenetres...quand on dort on a limpression que les voitures passent par la chambre,Horrible!!! Hotel bien placé pour visité cest tout. Si vous avez les moyens Prenez de tres bons hôtels au Caire. John tres sympa a laccueil le soir!!

Location is very wonderful in downtown in the heart of Cairo. Staff very friendly and helpful. I must back again that's why I recommend Hostgram to be the best in downtown Nothing everything was good
- Alexander (8/5): Rooms of different quality - On the whole positive with a caveat. I had booked what was billed as a "deluxe" single room - in part based on some of the photos. When I got there, the concept of deluxe was somewhat missing .... the room was small, its window opened to a rubbish filled inner courtyard and the shower was integrated into the bathroom/toilet.... that's the negative. But considering the price, the location and the fact that these sorts of things don't bother me all that much, it was actually good. On one of the days I was there, I was asked to pack my bags because they needed to do some work on my room and I was promised a nicer room - but because I was out all day, I got put back in the old room and I wasn't impressed. And I mentioned it - so for the last night I got put into a huge, lovely room with way more room and a separate sitting/lounge room. And then for the last night in Cairo (after going around Egypt for a bit) I came back and, having written to Marco, the owner/manager, I ended up in yet another lovely room with a view over the main street and plenty of room. Breakfast could be booked in addition and turned up punctually except for one day - but that was once only. I'm left with the sense that the owner really does care about the satisfaction of the guests, that where possible you get nicer rooms but that things are a little ad hoc. If you are coming here, think about spending the extra money for a "double" room simply for the additional space. Overall I would recommend staying
- Marcin (6/5): OK for a budget traveler - Convenient location and helpful staff, spacious room. I have done my research prior to booking and I didn’t expect much so I wasn’t disappointed. Located in once grand and opulent building the place, just like much of the downtown area, is sadly in a dilapidated condition. Weird color scheme throughout the venue, random art decorations, no shower cabin in the bathroom, poor lighting of the room. Egyptian standard of cleanliness. Poor wifi signal, water pressure was problematic at times and we did experience a short black out one day. The freezer compartment door was missing from the fridge so everything inside just froze. Uncomfortable old mattresses.

Arrivés à l’hôtel Hostgram, on nous dit d’attendre pour enfin comprendre qu’on va être transférés dans un autre hôtel, Cairo Heart Hostel Et là… une chambre dans un état déplorable, à se demander si le ménage avait été fait, Salle de bain horrible, shampooing, gel douche déjà entamés… et le pire a été le thé moisi dans la bouilloire ! On s’attend et on comprend la vétusté des logements au Caire, mais on avait payé pour un minimum de confort à l’hôtel Hostgram que nous sommes loin d’avoir de eu.

- Marina (4/5): - The property is well located with plenty of shops around and only a short walk to the Egyptian museum. However the area is extremely chaotic and loud so it may not be the best pick if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing spot. Staff is friendly but not all speak English which can be impractical. The tours organised were pricey and didn't meet the expectations. I'd definitely encourage travellers to look elsewhere for those.

- Tairi (4/5): - The hotel was good. Not a luxury hotel, but you get what you pay for. Also the staff was accommodating when I had problems. But never take their tours! My guide insisted on giving her tips and kept asking me if I needed to withdraw money from an ATM for her tips. When I was at the ATM, I felt so insecure because she was standing behind me and clearly looking at my credit card numbers - she even jokingly said "I can see your numbers" and "can I have your card, please". Her English was mediocre and she barely answered my questions. The souvenir shops they took me to were sketchy. My complaints about the tour go on, but overall the tour was so unpleasant that I doubt I'll ever visit Cairo again. So this hotel is only great if you just need a place to sleep in downtown Cairo for some reason. But if you need a guide, take it elsewhere!

- Verified traveler (2/5): TERRIBLE hotel - このホテルのいいところは立地だけです。 デラックスシングルルーム(クイーンベッド)を2泊予約しました。 部屋に入ってみるとシングルベッドが2つ、またsilver会員へのドリンクサービスはありませんでした。 ベッドについて聞いてみると、ベッド1つを予約して2つあるのだからNo problemと言われました。 それが問題かどうかを決めるのは彼らではなく私です。 わざわざ高い金額を出して広いベッドを予約したのに…1人で2つのベッドに寝れますか？ またWi-Fiはほとんどつながりません。 これについて改めて聞くと、明日には直ると。 Wi-Fiの有無は海外旅行者にとって死活問題です。 ぜひこのホステルのページにはWi-Fi無しと書いてほしい。 さらにシャワーを浴びようとすると水が出ない。 さすがに呆れてクレジットカードの支払いをキャンセルしろと言いに行きました。 しかし何度言っても支払いのキャンセルはできないと。 Wi-Fiがよく繋がる広い部屋にするからとのことでやむを得ず了承しました。 しかしシャワーは相変わらず浴びれません。 付近で水道工事をしてるとかとのことでしたが、事前にそのことをアナウンスしておいてくれればその時間以前にシャワーを浴びることができたのに、もしくは他のエリアでホテルをとったのに…。 翌日にはシャワーは浴びれましたが、よく繋がると言われたWi-Fiもまた繋がらなくなり、もはや文句を言うのも面倒になりチェックアウトの日を迎え、ホテルを出ました。 このエリアには¥600程度からの安いホステルがたくさんあります。 このような酷いホテルに¥3,000も払うよりホステルに泊まればよかったと後悔しました。
- Jose (6/5): A hostel is a hostel - Hostgram hostel..a hostel..located in downtown..convinient..room cleanin upon request..breakfast is the same every day..hard boiled eggs and tea.. Mohammed at the recepton was excellent.. The only problem we encountered was at the moment we had to pay for our stay.. A guy named Marco insisted for us us to pay in cash,even though they accept credit cards.. The moment I said we were going to pay with credit card,he said "no problem",but asked for a favor as a "friend"..Marco wanted to collect the money from the credit card but wanted to report to Booking.com as if we never showed up,even though we were already there for 8 days..the reason for that is so no commision had to be paid to Booking.com..as per his words.. A very heated conversation ended on us paying with credit card and to no more talking to this particular person who actually left a "sour taste" on our trip.. As a tip,bring your own toilet paper...the ones at the hotel are small and hard to get.. Egypt as a whole is a beautiful place to visit,and its people are wonderful.. Personally next time we will stay away from Hostgram...

- Yoen (8/5): Wide balcony, wet bathroon floor - Very wide room with 3 beds and balcony. Right at the downtown, near Nasser metro station. They only accepted cash. Bathroom floor is tilted wrong, and the water does not go out thoroughly and makes a swamp. They opened the window so dust and (many) mosquitoes had already come in. Downtown might be noisy for sensitive tourists.

- Maud (7/5): Good - The hotel is situated in a very nice area, friendly service. Some of the best spots to have a real Egyptian experience nearby. The beds are probably not to most people's liking, but I slept like a baby.
- Toshimitsu (8/5): カイロ中心地 - 立地は考古学博物館が徒歩圏内で、良い場所の割に値段が安いと思います。 ただし、シャワーは付いているものの、トイレスペースしかないため、実際には使えなかったり、2泊したが特に部屋の清掃などはなかったりしたので、それらを踏まえたら値段相応なのかもしれません。
- Ludovica (6/5): Spacious bedroom but the bathroom is a nightmare - The bathroom had the shower literally above the loo and every time we showered the whole toilet was floated, water everywhere on the floor and on the wall having to put the towels and toilet paper outside the room. I did mention this to the property and the owner shouted we could leave if we didn’t like it or move all our luggage to another hotel he owns, but at that point we were super tired after a long day traveling and we just stayed. The next day the same guy shouted at us again in regards to the conversion euro-dollar and wanted us to take back the payment we did in euro on the checkin day and give him dollars or Egyptian pounds instead. This stay was too stressful considering also the noise coming from the street and the staff not speaking good English most of the time, but the hotel has great potential for improvement. Please modernize and renovate it as the position is great and the rooms are very spacious. It needs definitely some work in order to call it a hotel. The owner.

- Verified traveler (8/5): 만족해요 - 배낭여행객에게 괜찮은 호스텔입니다. 1st 플로어까지는 엘베가 안가서 가방을 들고올라가야 합니다. 어리둥절하지마세요! 4층은 다른 호스텔입니다. 시내는 엄청 시끄러운데 12시 넘으면 차가 많이 안다녀서 조용합니다. 노이즈캔슬링 이어폰 끼고 자니까 괜찮았습니다. 매연 엄청 심해서 발코니 나가보지도 않고 문 닫았습니다. 사장님 및 직원들은 모두 친절합니다. 출발하는날 가방 킵해주고 밥사왔는데 먹을 수 있게 도와주기까지 합니다. 어차피 여기저기 돌아다니다 잠만 잘거면 가성비 최고방 아닐까 합니다. 단 시내라서 숙소 앞 트래픽 심합니다. 주변에 샤와르마 맛집
