Luckily the cleaning lady came in on her day off …. The room was on the 6th floor of an office block and was reached using an old small lift.

• allan (2/5): My dormitory room in the 70's was better than this - Location. Near the train station and main shopping street. This is an extremely overpriced property. The building is terrible. It's run down. The elevator is small and requires one to close 2 sets of doors when leaving. If someone fails to do that it won't work and you'll be walking 3-6 flights in a dark stairwell. Careful the lift floor does not align with the building floor, easy to trip. Room consists of metal furniture. Metal lockers for a closet. 1 metal chair, metal night tables. Bizarre lighting. Unplug the light if you want to charge your phone. All seems industrial, not pleasant at all. Bed on a metal frame. It's more of a hostel than B&B but at high hotel prices. If we paid half it still would have been too much. Very disappointed. The McDonald's next door generates a lot of trash nearby and people loitering outside building door. All in all, we felt deceived by the pictures and whoever rates this place anything more than awful. The breakfast was ok. If you eat in the breakfast room you'll sit on short metal stools. By far our worst experience in Italy and disappointed that Booking.com didn't screen this place more effectively.

• Laura (8/5): Great location great balcony beds were uncomfortable - The balcony on room 303 was AMAZING. It wrapped around 2 sides with the longest side by the promenade leading to Old Town. The shower bottom was very slippery. When you added soaping up it was more slippery. You could easily add adhesive strips to make it safer. We just threw a towel on the bottom and that eliminated the problem. The beds were not comfortable. There was a dip in the middle which made it very uncomfortable for stomach sleepers. The positives were the location was very very convenient as the train station was minutes away.

• Paul (9/5): Eine TOP Adresse, wenn man Anschlussmöglichkeiten mit ÖFFIS (Flughafen, Bahnhof) wahrnimmt! - Die Lage direkt in Bari Centrale neben Bus-, Flughafen- und Hauptbahnhof ist bestens. Gleich ums Eck beginnt mit dem Corso Covour die Lebensader Balis und auch die Aussicht und der Balkon zum Bahnhofspark sind erfreulich. Das Frühstück haben wir aus Zeitgründen der Abfahrt nicht wahrnehmen können. Der uralte, enge Lift in den 6. Stock funktioniert zwar schnell und tadellos, strahlt aber wenig Vertrauenswürdigkeit aus.

• Doris (8/5): Zentrale Lage - nettes B&B - Die Lage war sehr Zentral - wir haben unser Mietauto in Bari Stadt retour gegeben, und die Abgabestation von Sixt war direkt am Platz. Die Aussicht war fein, Frühstück war zum Aussuchen am Vortag und wurde aufs Zimmer gebracht. Die Wegbeschreibung und Kontakt war gut und immer sofort und kurzfristig erreichbar. Die Lage ist super direkt am Bahnhof und direkt auf der Einkaufstrasse - Altstadt fußläufig in ein paar Minuten durch die Einkaufsstraße erreichbar. Wir haben gut geschlafen. Da Zimmer war sauber. Supermarkt in der Nähe und Lokale. Einrichtung modern und alles vorhanden was benötigt wurde. Wir konnten die Koffer am Abreisetag deponieren. Der Eingangsbereich ist von außen nicht ersichtlich, es wurden aber Fotos geschickt und somit hatten wir kein Problem diesen zu finden. Das Frühstück wird ins Zimmer gebracht, wir hatten auch 2 Zimmer mit Balkon bestellt - ein Zimmer hatte dann aber keinen Balkon (Lösung wurde gefunden) und fürs Frühstück stand dort nur ein Sessel und kein extra Tisch zur Verfügung. Leider waren wir nur 1 Tag und es hat geregnet, dadurch konnten wir auch nur im Zimmer auf dem vorhanden Tisch Essen. Der Aufzug ist sehr speziell und retro. Leider war am Platz eine Baustelle, die noch länger andauern dürfte.

• Isabell (10/5): Schöner Aufenthalt in Bari - Das Hotel hat wirklich die perfekte Lage mitten in bari und direkt am Bahnhof. Der Check in ging reibungslos über WhatsApp und war jederzeit erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wird einem aufs Zimmer gebracht und man kann am Vortag wählen was man möchte, super lecker und super entspannt. Es war total sauber und schön eingerichtet.

• Dave (9/5): Perfect for solo/couples who wants to see towns in the area. - I was traveling solo to check out different towns in the Puglia region and was looking for a hotel near the Bari Centrale train station so I could zip up and down the coast to check out towns like Monopoli, Bisceglie, Trani, etc. This hotel was in the PERFECT location for what I wanted as it was a 90 second walk to the station (be sure to use the Trenitalia app for your train tickets, SO easy to use, no waiting at kiosks or getting your tickets validated, the app does it for you). Bari's old town was a safe and easy 15 minute stroll down the main pedestrian promenade so if you wanted to be near the old town, this hotel might not be for you but it was perfect for what I needed on this trip. The hotel uses Whatsapp as the main for of communication so make sure to have the app installed before you arrive. For check-in, you go up to the 6th floor of the hotel's address, the elevators are the tiny ones you'd expect but still worth noting. The hotel gives you clear and easy instructions for gaining access to your room, couldn't be easier. The free breakfast was really nice and right across form my room (601), breakfast is everyday from 7:30-9:30, the staff is super friendly, they even make you fresh coffee as you eat! For my departure, I needed a 4am ride to the airport but the trains weren't running at that hour. I asked the hotel the day before my departure and within minutes, they had a 4am taxi confirmed for me for the cost of only 25 Euros, some places wanted 50-70 Euros for the ride. The cab showed up ten minutes early, the trip back to the airport couldn't have gone any more smoothly. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. I know the hotel has no control over this, but only negative for me was the street noise at night, it was pretty loud up until midnight and then started up again around 6am as the station opened up for the day. Even with the windows closed, the noise was noticeable but I put on my white noise app and snoozed away. Just wanted to mention this in case you're a light sleeper, maybe even ask for a room away from the street, that would probably make a huge difference.
• Ana (10/5): Vizavi de Bari Centrale - Locația strategică, chiar lângă gara Bari Centrale, ceea ce face deplasarea foarte ușoară spre alte destinații turistice cât si spre aeroport, la 10 minute de centrul vechi al orașului. Camera a fost curată, spațioasă cu un pat mare, toate cele necesare unei șederii relaxante, iar vederea spre parc si gară genială (am avut camera cu balcon). Mic dejun simplu dar suficient pentru a începe ziua. Gazdele au fost foarte amabile și comunicarea a fost rapidă și eficientă, oferindu-ne toate informațiile necesare pentru check-in și pentru a ne bucura de oraș.

Literally a few minutes walk from the train station but also a pedestrian shopping street with high street and designer brands and lots of great restaurants. The room was spacious, warm and the staff (Agostino especially) were very helpful communicating how to access the building and very friendly. The old fashioned lift is a bit small and rickety and fits 2 people and 2 large cases at a squeeze but it’s an old building and at least there is a lift.
