I didnt like that I was knowingly booked into a room that was too small for someone staying that long of a while, there were other rooms that couldve sufficed for the long stay. This was also inlcuding the upgraded room.

• Kirstin (5/5): Conveniently located. Passable place to sleep. - Conveniently located, staff were friendly and place was clean. No TV in rooms. Very basic 2 single beds and a toilet. No amenities, no tea and coffee station, hair dryer and side tables.

• Fred (8/5): Ga hier zeker weer heen. - Erg leuk guesthouse met zeer vriendelijk personeel. Compliment voor allemaal. Je kan lekker buiten zitten en genieten van de zon. Ontbijt was simpel maar lekker. Op loopafstand van het centrum. Auto heb je niet nodig. Goede WiFi is ook aanwezig. Een kleine koelkast in de kamer zou fijn zijn, en evt een stoel om op te zitten.

The water feature was a nice touch to the ambience of the place During the period of our stay, Swakopmund was quite hot. It would have been nice to have a fan in the rooms to cool us down

• Sebabi (6/5): Only the staff were exceptional but rooms need to be improved. - Perfect There was no TV, even a glass to drink water or even a cup of tea. Shower tub old material, no air conditioner. I have to ask the stuff to put my drinks in their kitchen fridge
• P (7/5): - Friendly staff and attendants. Upon booking they made me pay for two rooms, of which we needed connected rooms as I have very young children (the oldest is 10years). But they booked us into two separate rooms. We communicated our request when the booking was made that the rooms have to be connected, as children cannot manage locking themselves into a room. Despite having communicated upfront, this was ignored. Upon arrival I paid again for the family room at the guest house as this was the most viable option given the circumstances that we found out that they do not have connected rooms with hope they will refund the previous booking. Seeing this the guest house chose to withhold the larger amount as they chose profit rather than customer needs. Seriously, fairness is needed in such circumstances. We appealled to the Manager (Agnes) who was very rude and not wanting to help but only pointing to rules and regulations and not listening to our appeal, we feel cheated and betrayed. Surely putting people into leadership positions must also include PR training and active listening and not shouting to customers.

• Smith (10/5): A wonderful stay in a safe city on the water. - Great stay. Super friendly and helpful. We're able to help with everything I needed, including reasonably priced tours. Just slightly away from the centre of town, but still an easy walk in.

Sehr positiv: Wir durften das Auto im Innenbereich parken. Der strenge Geruch nach Doom oä im Zimmer, der nicht weichen wollte. Das Frühstück war überschaubar. Sehr hellhörig: Bei unserem Aufenthalt war eine Reisegruppe da, die früh abreisten. Der Truck lief lange und die Leute mit Gerede und Rollkoffern über das Gelände....

• Alida (1/5): Horrible!! - Location is good.... Beakfast okay... We arrived on Friday afternoon. We arranged with reception that we need to plug in the fridge in my car as the battery is not working properly. Once we got back from dinner, the security knock on the window and the lady open the window, screaming why do we knock on the door and there in no more place to stay. We booked in earlier on Friday. Parking is also a problem. First come first serve, which is understandable. But bigger trucks can stop outside and smaller cars inside. Trucks don't even stop properly inside, in the middle where another car can stop as well. Plugs inside the room also didn't work, how do I charge my phone at night?? Shower floor is so slippery, I almost slipped and fell in the shower. Shower head takes my by the shoulders, do I need to bent down to wet my head and wash my hair??? I need to book in December with my wife from 30 December to 4 January, with this kind of service and no friendliness, no hospitality I won't even refer my friends or other people to his place. That's not the way to treat paying guests. No wonder places fall to pieces with these kind of treatment. There is no more pride for anything in life!!!

• michelle (4/5): - During our breakfast, the owner interrupted us to accuse us of not having paid for our stay. She claimed we had entered the wrong CVV number, causing the transaction to fail. We assured her that this was not possible since we used Apple Pay, but she became agitated and asked us to accompany her to the reception computer. At the computer, she showed us a list of rooms that were supposedly unpaid. We noticed that the reference number for our room did not match the one for our booking and pointed this out to her. Once she realized her mistake, she quickly changed the subject and told us to "enjoy" our breakfast while she sorted out the payment issue. She mentioned that the booking office was closed, so we could continue addressing the issue the following morning. That was the last time she spoke to us about the payment. She didn’t even apologize for accusing us of non-payment or for her incompetence in confusing a date on her system with a CVV number, despite our explanation that we used Apple Pay. I don’t recommend this place at all. It doesn’t look like the pictures, and the host is rude. Additionally, a guest parked us in and became angry when he had to move his car. To retaliate, he maliciously locked us out of the parking when we returned. We ended up leaving our stay early because of all this.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Overbooked - My booking was an overbooking, so I ended up having a room that usually was for tour guides, very basic. It did have a private bathroom but had odor. Anyway, better than no place to sleep. Still appreciate the inn manager, and blame Hotels.com system for overbooking.
• ROSEMARY (8/5): An OK Hotel - The hotel id getting a bit tired and could do with a bit of an upgrarde. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. The soap dispenser didn't work in our bathroom and the sliding door needed a good clean on the bathroom side. Otherwise can't complain.

• Tarya (6/5): - Service was good and personal very helpful. The lock in the door to the room was very dificult to open, it was annoying. The water from the shower rann out on to the floor beside thought there was a shower curtain. The light in the room was weak. Outside was nice with a table and chairs. We could park our car in the courtyard which was very important. The price value versus cost is ok.
• Tarya (8/5): - It was ok to the price. Some small things like the water from the shower leaked out to the badroom floor while showing. There was a curtain but it didn’t help much. The doorlock was very dificult to open from outside. And the doorhandle was loose. It was annoying.

• Claudius (8/5): Zentral und doch recht ruhig - Das Dunedin Dtar Guesthouse liegt zentral in Swakopmund und hat einfache, aber zweckmässig eingerichtete Zimmer. Die Angestellten sind freundlich, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Recommendable - The guesthouse is a recommendable place for a reasonable price. Breakfast is a bit scarce, but alright.With prices in Swakopmund being pretty high in general, it's a good alternative to many of the overpriced hotels. Cleanliness good be slightly improved, though. No internet connection in rooms, only at reception.
