- Frank (8/5): - Recht enge Treppen und rustikaler Stil. Das ist halt original. Ich mag das. Die Räume sind groß und toller Ausblick. Die Lage ist klasse. Alles in der Nähe. Auch Parkplätze gegenüber für 5 Euro.

- Jonathan (1/5): - Nichts Unfreundliches und Geld geiles Personal! Wir wurden mehrfach darauf hingewiesen, das wir ja über booking.com gebucht haben, was sie ja schon 12% kostet! Zudem war für uns keine Kartenzahlung möglich, da dies ja auch nochmal Gebühren kostet, wo wir ja schon über booking.com gebucht haben. Außer wir zahlen die Gebühr selber, dann könnten wir auch mit Karte zahlen. Im Bad war der Abfluss undicht und immer der Boden Nass, es war kein Duschgel vorhanden, nur eine billige Handseife die mit Wasser verdünnt wurde. Im Mülleimer war kein Beutel und keine Beutel für Damenhygiene vorhanden. Bei 3 Übernachtungen wurden nicht einmal die Handtücher getauscht! Es waren Spinnenweben vor den Fenstern. Der Rauchmelder im Flur hing mit Leerem Batteriefach von der Decke.

- Glenn (7/5): Decent stay while biking. - Secure bike storage. Beautiful locaton along the Rhine, and close to train station. Had to pay cash for rooms. Breakfast not included (unless you book directly).
- Angie (10/5): It was a wonderful time. We enjoyed the fireworks the location couldn’t have been any better.. - The food was delicious. Everyone was very nice they work hard together. The location was great. The parking wasn’t the best. We had the 4th floor and that was hard with no elevator. We did not carry the suitcases up to the room.
- Heike (5/5): Passable - The location was excellent. A few minutes walk from the boat dock on arrival and to the train on departure. The cleaning staff was friendly and cooperative when we checked why our room hadn’t been cleaned (it had not been put on her list). The room was clean on arrival but only cleaned a couple of times and no fresh towels were provided during our 5 night stay. The room is basic but adequate. Lots of activity in the central square. Feels safe and secure. The main negative was an unpleasant waiter, who acted put out at having to serve us and was rude to a female coworker. As a result, we chose to eat at other restaurants nearby. There are plenty of good options. At reception we were asked for payment. I informed the clerk that we had prepaid through booking.com. He then said he would request payment from them. Wifi is free but is not secure, so not great for online bookings and payment.
- Susan (10/5): I highly recommend Am Markt and shall definitely stay there again. - In a prime location beside The Rhein with its castles and famous Loreley. Buses trains and boats all within a couple of minutes walk. My room was clean and comfortable, breakfasts varied and plentiful. I ate there most evenings and every meal was excellent. Without exception staff were always friendly, helpful and efficient nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
- Rebecca (5/5): I would only book direct with them - The location was right in the heart of the fireworks festival When we arrived for our three night stay, the room was not reserved for the first night. We were offered a small room with an extra mattress on the floor for 4 people. We refused and other arrangements were made.

- Hille (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, large room, kind staff. Beds were comfortable. Lots of space is a huge advantage when staying more than one night. Hotel is close to everything. Friendly and helpful personnel. No shower gel or shampoo, and that was the only downside.

- Robert (10/5): We had been traveling about a month and it was very relaxing and one of our best experiences. - Everything was outstanding. The soup at the restaurant was excellent also. A great experience. We couldn't have asked for more. Great location. New section we stayed in was excellent. Well decorated bright, clean, friendly staff. Very pleased. Honestly it as a great experience. Nothing to complain about or ask for beyond what we had.

I can however understand why it’s not to everyone’s taste. - location, character, friendly staff, great food including excellent breakfast, superb views. the rooms are quite dated but that’s what I love about the place. I don’t always want to feel as though I’m in a generic boring hotel room with phone chargers everywhere.

- Cumps (6/5): Pleasant - credit card mandatary for booking, but not allowed when checking in. Then it's suddenly cash only. The staff customer friendliness started there and went downhill from that. "Why did you book at booking.com? You payed too much. You should not book at booking.com. You did it wrong." Those are all the right things to tell to your customer at arrival.
