Anonymous (10/5): Warm Hospitality in a Perfect Location - This little gem is about a 10min walk from the train station, and probably 2mins from the bus which takes you to the funicular. It’s very well located. The beds were comfortable and there was ample room for the three of us. Our absolute highlight was the lovely man who runs this accommodation. He kindly carried our friends bag up the stairs (no elevator) and when we had an early train to catch the next day, he set up breakfast for us, all ready to go. Nothing, we all thought it was great.

Our room was very spacious and quiet despite being close to some busy roads, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the host was really friendly and understanding. Breakfast was tasty and not small at all! There were few times when we could really use an iron, but other than that I really have no comments!

Breakfast in Italian style, but very tasty and you can eat enough. Very close to the center, ferry station and train station. Ideal place for a weekend stay.

Stephen (8/5): Lovely staff in a central location. - Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent, I was presenting at the University (Politecnico di Milan - Lecco) and it is approximately 600 metres away. Very pleasant. It was also a short walk to Lake Como. Nothing I didn't like, the bed was a bit hard but that's just my view. The amenities were basic but that was not why I booked it, I just needed something close to the university and central to Lecco - this place was really good for that.

Matteo (7/5): Basic accommodation downtown - Location is good, owner is kind and helpful. Room is very spacious for four. Check in is allowed only up to 6 pm and no flexibility at all was allowed by the owner. Plan well ahead your trip in order to arrive on time. Breakfast is basic and limited. Parking is available on the street but one might be able to find a spot only quite far from the property, depending on time and day of the week.

Great location. Mattress a bit too hard, but it depends on ones taste. Windows could have mosquito nets, because there are a lot of small flies in the area which bites are very itchy. We got bitten a lot during the night.

A ten minute stroll from the lake and promenade. The yoghurt cake made by the owner’s wife for breakfast was fantastic! Maybe have the heating on a little longer? Because of the tiles floor and large room, it was a little chilly at night.

The property is close to both the train station and the ferry in Lecco. We used it as a base for visiting lake Como without any issue and at a considerable discount compared to staying in Bellagio or Varenna. Breakfast could be more varied.

Cleanliness well maintained - the shower and the whole bathroom was sparkling! Even the staircase room was very clean! The property is on the second floor and there is no elevator but, the host helped me with the luggage - which was very nice of him! He also agreed to keep my luggage free of charge after I checked out - which I am very grateful for, it was a great help! Thank you!! The WiFi was excellent!! (: The building might be difficult to find, especially if you arrive at dark time of the day! It looks like a regular old residential building with small and barely noticeable entrance sign. So don't expect to find it with your sight from far away (you'll have to read carefully small signs at each door when you'll arrive to the location). If you arrive at night/evening, the entrance is dark and the staircase room and the hallway of the hotel is poorly luminated! The room was not heated enough, it was cold (I arrived in February). There was no electric kettle or coffee/tea maker in my room even though it is mentioned in the description 'what is in in the room'! For me electric kettle was essential, the absence of it made my stay uncomfortable. It is also written that "Very good breakfast included" - but, actually the served breakfast is average.

Great location just outside of the center of Lecco. Only 10 minutes from the train station. Very helpful host with great suggestions and a generous breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect, pretty much no complaints. There wasn't many food options nearby, but they were plenty within a 5-10 minute walk. There was no air conditioning, but a fan was provided & the temperature was very comfortable.

Then it said to click on the email that was sent. However, I couldn't access my email until I had WiFi - very frustrating! This is the only complaint. I would have stayed another two days if it had been available.

Rickismiles (8/5): Great location & very comfy beds 🙂 - The Nostra Casa is lovely. The rooms are spacious and the location is central. Lecco is very nice. Lot's of bars & restaurants. A boat to take you to Bellagio and Varenna & a train station to get you to experience everywhere else. The manager is very friendly & knowledgeable. Breakfast is included. Delicious croissants 🙂 The rooms are on the 2nd floor and there is no lift...... it is a very old building and the stairs seem to go on forever! Do not stay here if you have any mobility issues......

Tammo (10/5): Beautiful, clean, quiet pension - absolutely recommendable! - This beautifully maintained and fully modernised pension in an old town building well exceeded our expectations, from the personal welcome by the host to the very large, suite-like (bath)rooms with balcony to the rear garden. While located on one of the main access roads to Lecco's old town, the place was absolutely quiet, safe (police station next door), and even provided for free parking on the nearby streets. Just 5 minutes walking distance to downtown. Strongly recommendable, really!
