When I finally got into the room, it had a strong moldy smell that made me cough nonstop. The bed was also covered in stains. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I immediately changed hotels

But this was not the case, booking.com states Puri agung homestay is 3 stars, I personally would struggle to give it 1 star. The one staff saw & delt with was very polite. The Puri agung should be classed as a backpacker's!

- Elisa (1/5): Health Hazard, Avoid This Place - The location is the only redeeming factor, but unfortunately it is nowhere near enough to make up for the serious downsides. There are plenty of other accommodations in the area, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. This was honestly the worst stay of my life, and I've stayed in bad places before. I would strongly advise others not to book this place. I arrived in the middle of the night and the smell hit me before I even stepped inside the room. I don't even know how to describe it. It was an overwhelming mix of agressive chemicals, mold, sweat, beer, and rot. Within minutes I had a pounding headache from it. The smell was so bad and so strong that I would have left immediately if I could, but it was the middle of the night and I had nowhere to go. The furniture was literally crumbling with termites, leaving wood dust all over the floor. Mold covered the walls in huge patches, spider webs hung everywhere, and the sheets were not clean. Instead of proper bedding, you get an old scratchy blanket full of holes that smelled like sweat and feet. The bathroom was unusable. I could have dealt with the fact there was no sink and no hot water, but it was so unsanitary I couldn't shower. There were cockroaches crawling on the floor, dead bugs stuck to the walls, and mosquitoes and bugs everywhere. My body was covered in bites the next day. I don’t blame them for the mosquitoes, but the stench was so unbreathable that I had no choice but to open the windows. Which wasn't even enough as the smell was still very agressive even with open windows. On top of that, the place was extremely noisy: someone shouting on the phone for hours, another man coughing loudly right outside my door all night, and constant footsteps pacing up and down the corridor. I didn’t feel safe at all. I tried to be understanding and asked politely if there was another room available. The second one was somehow even worse, with the same unbearable smell, only covered up by excessive air freshener. The ceiling was basically rotting bamboo, and you could see through it. When I explained that the conditions were unhealthy and I couldn’t stay there, I kindly asked for a refund.

This place is more like local rental apt no a place for tourists that trying to rest after a full day in the beach or exploring . I request a solution to the staff but they don’t did nothing just look mad to me the next day . Roaches from the plumbing in the bathroom. Room smells like mold. Honestly is not q place for tourists more for locals that work in the streets . My best recommendations to the tourists dont try to engage and let them talk remember you ate bot from this area so you have more to lose with the police .

I try to talk normal let them now about the noises but look like they are looking for problems because they laughed. I been here 2 nights without a normal sleep of 2 hours because they are noisy for 24 hrs maybe the drugs and the alcohol on their system. 7am and they continued talking loudly. Is impossible rest in this place , no privacy here because walls are foam or wood . No respect to others is unbelievable. Management don’t do nothing to help with the situation. Still here because they dont have a cancellation policy.

- Justin (5/5): Passable - The location was pretty good and the roon was fair, however the bathroom was lacking a basin. Not the accommodations fault but one of the guests was ill and didn't seem to mind sitting in the communal area coughing is lungs inside out during all hours of the night. Also when I arrived the ashtrays where overflowing and still not emptied for two days.

- Mike (4/5): Very cheap so no hot water or tv expected but too noisy. Location is very central. - Close to beach and eateries. Clean Noise - three competing hi-fi rackets. Fan set on High only.

- Ky (10/5): Great Staff - You pay for what you get room wise, room is decent and clean but no sink would be better if there was one. I didnt get his name but one staff (host) was amazing, friendly and let me and my partner keep our bags there throughout the day for a late flight we had booked. The location is also perfect if you want to be close to the beach or walkable distance from Poppies 1 and 2 for the shops,etc A woman kept shouting early hours in the morning and through the night.
