- Neil (10/5): One of the best solo travel experiences I’ve had! - I stayed at La Ventana Azul for about two weeks, part working remotely and part on holiday, and it was a perfect choice. The staff, especially Paul were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help. I met amazing fellow travelers and volunteers from all around the world. We had movie nights, taco nights, eco farm visits, beach volleyball and even paragliding! The location is also perfect, just a few steps from the beach and promenade. I loved going for daily runs there, especially during sunset! An unforgettable solo trip with amazing people, beautiful sunsets and a hostel that genuinely felt like a little community.

The sink and the mirror was occupied with people getting ready. It's enough space for 2-3 people maximum. La chambre était trop petite et pour 50 euros la nuit, y a mille fois mieux. Le pire auberge de ma vie. En plus, il fallait payer les serviettes de bain.

- Ana Paula (5/5): I don’t recommend it - The only positive aspect of this hostel is the location. The room was extremely hot, and the ceiling fan only works when the lights are on, which makes it impossible to use at night. The only alternative is to leave the window open, but then you get a lot of street noise, making it very difficult to sleep. Cleanliness also needs improvement. Regarding storage, the luggage lockers do not have locks, and the only lockable space available is a very small compartment that doesn’t fit much. Additionally, not all beds have full privacy curtains as shown in the pictures, which was disappointing. Overall, aside from the location, there was nothing particularly comfortable or positive about this stay.

The rooms are clean and private and there is always someone in the kitchen or on the rooftop to hang out with :) The vibe is really chill and friendly and there are soooo many activities you can join (either offered by the hostel or other guests). And you can check the waves at la cicer from the rooftop, so its perfect for surfers :D
- Stine (10/5): En fin opplevelse😃 - Jeg likte beliggenheten veldig godt, rett ved stranda. Tacoen var nydelig, helt annerledes enn hjemme i Norge. Veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme mennesker som jobba på hostellet. Veldig mye sosiale aktiviteter man kunne være med på om man ville. Takterassen var veldig fin. Anbefaler virkelig dette hostellet! Luften inne på romma, ble litt innestengt.

- Hardy (8/5): Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. - Die Lage des Hostels ist super nah am Strand und die Dachterrasse des Hostels lädt zum chillen in der Sonne ein. Zudem gibt es die Outdoorküche auf der Dachterrasse. Die Betten sind auch sehr gemütlich. Es gibt jede Menge Aktionen und Freizeitangebote. Surfen, Wandern, gemeinsame Abende mit Spielen oder den "TacoNights". Die Dachterrasse schließt um 23 Uhr, was ein bisschen schade ist. Dadurch werden gemütliche Abende im Hostel abrupt unterbrochen. Diese Regelung müsste noch einmal überarbeitet werden.

- Sarah (10/5): - Great Hostel, I would definitely recommend it and come back. It's right next to the beach, the surfing spots and there's a lot of restaurants an Cafés nearby. The Hostel looks super sweet and has such good vibes! They offer a lot of different programs like movie night, karaoke night, yoga, Sunday Brunch and a lot of activities nearby. The people where amazing and again, the vibe was great!

- Anna (10/5): Amazing vibes, people and terrace!!! - La Ventana that translates to “window” is really your window to different perspectives, people from around the world and experiences. Staff and volunteers made the place unique, and the experience super worthwhile and just unforgettable. I am Typing this review on the way to the airport and I am just sad to be leaving that place and people behind I loved everything! Activities organized, the vibe, and the terrace were top notch! It’s located practically on the beach so that helps, too! Thank you La Ventana 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍 and yes big shout out to Paul, the manager for his help and support!

Getting out of bed… when you’re having such a great time in the evenings, mornings can be a bit tough!

- Zsanett (10/5): Great hostel in a perfect spot for surfing! 🏄♂️ - I wasn’t even planning on surfing, but after seeing the location and meeting people there, I had to give it a try and I am so happy I did! The hostel itself lovely! The beds are super comfy and everything is kept very clean. The volunteers are friendly and welcoming, and Paul, the manager works tirelessly to make sure everything runs smoothly. Would definitely stay again! Can’t think of anything which was bad!

- Kimberley (10/5): - This was one of the most social hostels I have stayed in. I think because the bathrooms are communal for all dorms. And the kitchen and upstairs terrace which also has a kitchen. The events as well were really good and social and really reasonably priced. Would definitely return.

M-am distrat, am povestit, am uitat complet de griji. S-au organizat multe activitati interesante si mi-am facut doza de adrenalina🎉 Ca la 11 e stingerea si noi nu ne mai saturam de povesti😆

Dazu noch so schön im Dachgeschoss in der Küche mit den anderen zu kochen und neue Freunde kennenlernen. Also die Betten und Zimmer sind sauber , riechen nicht und das Wichtigste das Personal war mega nett !!! Ich habe mich sogar mit einigen befreundet. Und ich würde auf jeden Fall nochmal besuchen. Es war unvergesslich, danke La Ventana Azul❤️

- Marisa (10/5): Community vibes, rest and fun. - Staying here feels like being welcomed by a community. A lot of the guests are regulars who keep coming back and I understand why. Amazing vibes, great staff, a lot of fun activities planned and right next to the beach! From a creativity workshop, to movie night and a taco dinner there were so many fun things to do and meet people. But, it’s also a calm place where you can take moments alone to rest and go to sleep early in a silent environment (the common areas close at 23h and those who want to continue chatting leave to bars then, so you are able to sleep and wake up early too). Very clean, there is alwyas someone from the staff making sure things are tidy. The manager is really kind and accomodating. Definitely recommend!

- brayan (10/5): I'll come back as soon as I can - Everything was great. I really liked the vibe of the hostel and the friendliness of the staff. I’ve stayed in three different places in Las Palmas, and Ventana Azul has by far the best facilities: two large kitchens, big rooftop with a stunning sea view, plenty of bathrooms, clean and comfortable bedrooms, and cozy common areas that make it easy to socialize.

- Sarah (4/5): - Gute lage am strand, nah an der promenade Hostelmitarbeiter sehr unmotiviert. Pancakes-Frühstück angepriesen mit Getränken und Früchten. Allerdings haben es die zwei Volontäre dann nicht mal hinbekommen, die pancakes gescheit zu backen, sodass eine andere Gästin mitgeholfen hat. Es gab keine Getränke und keine Früchte. Sehr schlecht organisiert und viele wurden nicht satt. Außerdem schimmelgeruch in den Zimmern, was mit Febreeze weggesprüht wird, sehr alt und mufflig alles. Es war nicht unbedingt dreckig aber alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Tür zum Schlafraum schloss nicht richtig. Es war nachts laut, wenn Wind gegen die Tür kam und sie auf und zu ging. Im Gemeinschaftskühlschrank wurden trotz Box Dinge geklaut. Besonders bier ist beliebt und kommt schnell weg. Für das Geld nicht wert.
