• Sabine (9/5): Schöne Unterkunft für den Start in Sri Lanka :) - Freundliches Personal! Sehr bemüht! Zimmer sauber mit AC. Frühstück mit guter Auswahl. Für Frühstück und Pool musste man in das Hotel 2 min mit Tuk Tuk entfernt. Strand leider sehr dreckig, vielleicht liegt es an der Nebensaison. Wer im September schönen Strand sucht, ist an der Ostküste besser aufgehoben.
• Zosia (2/5): Nie polecam - Obsługa była bardzo miła i przystępna Najgorszy hotel w jakim miałam okazję być. Na dzień przed nasz hotel został zmieniony na Jleaf bez zmiany rezerwacji na booking, jedynie wiadomość, zaifalismy i nigdy więcej nie popełnimy tego błędu. Prześcieradła brudne, łóżko umazane w jakiejś czerwonej szmince, łazienka wygląda conajmniej dramatycznie. Obsługa przystępna, ale śniadanie to jakiś dramat. Niby szwedzki stół ale wszystkie pojemniki puste, dżemy sfermentowane i jedyne co zostało nam zaproponowane to naleśniki z gigantyczną ilością cukru i omlet z cebulą bez żadnych pozostałych rzeczy 🫠 Po poinformowaniu Pani o stanie pokoju obiecała że ogarną brud jaki był w pomieszczeniu jeszcze tego samego dnia, jednak nie stało się to przez 3 dni! Nigdy więcej tu nie wrócimy… to był dramat

• Maria (10/5): Clean, calm and beautiful hotel - This hotel exceeded our expecations by a very long mile! The room was very cosy, clean and the Villa itself is situated on a more quiet street, but still close to one of the restaurant streets. The included breakfast is served in another hotel of the same owner and had a variety of local and western options. We were especially impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the young receptionist at the Villa :)

• Mona (8/5): Correct et pratique - La chambre était spacieuse. Le personnel était amical. On nous a fourni un petit déjeuner à emporter car nous avions un vol très tôt le matin. Le lit était inconfortable car beaucoup trop mou. Il y a eu un problème avec la réservation, notre chambre n’était pas une chambre familiale mais l’hôte nous en a accordé une sans frais supplémentaire.

The bed was very comfortable and I had the best sleep during my stay. Being able to walk to the restaurants and take my daily beach walks was a definite plus. Nothing.

• Kevin (8/5): The host was great and made our last night in Sri Lanka very pleasant. - It was a very good accommodation, very safe, well furnished with many different communal areas as well as a generous sized bedroom, kitchen, dining area and lounge area so ideal if you wanted to cater for yourself.The breakfast was fine, fruit, omlette and toast with tea or coffee. The host was very friendly and helpful and organised a car for 1.30am making sure the driver was in plenty of time and stayed up to check everything went smoothly. We were very grateful. We paid for breakfast separate for the accommodation and felt it was a little expensive but hadn't asked the price beforehand so no complaints.

Janet made us feel right at home making our visit to Negombo nicer and welcoming. Our room was spacious and very clean; a nice size bathroom with hot water. The rooftop offers beautiful views of the area. Maria Villa is located on a quiet street within walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. We would stay here again. Liked everything about Maria Villa.

• Gaoheng (9/5): Superb - Great location. The center and markets are within walkable distance. Maria villa is full of taste and style and I loved my two nights stay there. The hostess is a super kind and cool lady. In case staying at Negombo, this place is highly recommended! The switch for the fan in the room was too sensitive in the meaning that you turn a little bit and the fan either barely spins or it spins crazily. Luckily, I could handle that. The breakfast offered there was tasty but the portion was too small to be honest especially compared to what I had received everywhere in Sri Lanka.

Also very close to the beach. The house itself is in very good condition as well and the host was very friendly. Good parking. BREAKFAST is a bit expensive at 4 Eur p.p., so we did not take it.

• Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Normally quiet, hospital, new stylish room. Thank you for the mosquito net, it needed there - and a room with it is ideal for me. They even help me to send postcards! This Friday especially was a party but it was finished near midnight. The bed is very soft - but it really depends on how you love, then mark is 10.

Owner is pretty nice and very helpful (She is living in Europe and has staff onsite to manage the place, communicating on booking.com is the best way) 3. We loved the complimentary tea and coffee in the morning 4. The whole house is very nice and beautiful and has many areas to chill 5. Location is easy to find 1. Wifi not working well so we had to reply on mobile data. Even when connected to wifi, the internet is either very slow or you get disconnected quite frequently 2. Weak water flow for shower

Owners and sfat were super nicd with me: I was suppose to leave Sri Lanka and they let me keep the room also in the afternoon (despite check out was at 11 am) Location very closed tk the sea and you can visit market also by walking. Rooms are wonderful, with everythjng you need and also very nice. Breakfast is vedy good (fruit, eggs, toast, tea) Thanks again for the lovely time!
• Derk (8/5): A little disappointed... - Nice looking building, Nice garden. Locked fence all around. Prvat tuktuk/carparking possible. Nice staffmember. Booked 3 nights.Only a lIttle daylight in room. No balcony connected to room. Outside room everywhere Cameras. We had to work but wifi was only working last evening. The free breakfast was simple. Fruit minimal.

Quiet area, walking distance from restaurants and beach. Clean and big room, lots of storage space. We loved the rooftop which you can climb up and watch the sunrise/sunset. So serene! Would recommend if you are in Negombo, thank you Janet! The shower sometimes didn't have hot water, but wasn't too much of an issue as Negombo is a warm city!
