- Ariane (10/5): Great place - Large house in a great location with everything you might need, including laundry detergent! There's even video games, mangas, and video subscription services on the TV. The only thing we didn't like is that the front door is basically just a sliding door with a paper screen, so we could see the shadows of people walking/standing in the street at night. It gave us quite the scare at first and it made the house feel less intimate.
- Monnaliza (10/5): - Such a cute little gem in the Azakusa area! The house is well equipped. Though, just be careful with coming up and down the stairs - they're a bit steep, and there are extra rooms that have low clearance. The house might also not be very suitable for seniors or those with special needs, which is worth noting as a limitation, but overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay.
We loved everything, highly recommended, especially for young families and big groups! Super convenient - there's a bus station nearby, less than 1 min walk from 7-11. We will definitely stay here again.
- González (10/5): Amazing space, good price and several bathrooms. - Big spaces and several ACs that help keeping everything warm There are not a lot of food options near
- Matthias (9/5): Good location, good beds, nice neighbourhood - Good beds. Lots of space. Greatly enjoyed the switch and the smart-tv It sometimes felt as if someone could walk into the house at any second.

- Gaston (9/5): Shhh... This one is seriously good. Don't tell anyone. Keep it secret! - A very spacious place for Tokyo and incredible value for money. The design is unique, and it’s located in a great, safe area close to two convenience stores. The check-in process was easy and simple, and communication with the host was great. We would definitely return. Nothing really. You could say it isn't right next to a train station, but it isn’t a long walk either.

- Hollie (10/5): Great little place, would definitely stay again. - Great location, very clean and excellent facilities Mattresses were very hard and pillows on the bed could be better.

- Mats (10/5): What a great apartment. - I think anyone who finds this available for their dates already know they have struck gold for their trip to Tokyo. This place is so cool and amazing for housing a family or group. It's what you see in the photos, a fun little retreat over two floors, right in Tokyo. Good beds, every convenience you need, very clean.
It's also closer to the metro station that Google Maps indicates. The A7 entrance for Kuramae station is right across the bridge.
- Lai Leng (9/5): -
- Annmarie (9/5): 3 nights family in Tokyo - Fabulous house. Well renovated and thought about. So much more space than I thought! Road traffic noise... it is Tokyo after all!
- Elissa (8/5): - For the space, it's a bargain! A quirky little bolt hole to base yourself in Tokyo. A quick walk to stations, Skytree is close with buses too. 7/11 directly across the street is a bonus. Having lots of toilets and showers is helpful. We would have liked to have sheets for the futons in the tatami but we took them from the other beds in the loft. Which is worth a mention, the western style room has 4 single beds, two accessed by steep ladders making them suitable only for the nimble and small 😂. Stairs between the two floors are very steep and small and would be a struggle for those with mobility issues.
- John (10/5): Wonderful place for a big family or group. - Kitchen was useful and decently stocked. Always had hot water. We made many meals during the week. Great location, convenience store and really nice grocery store nearby, subway stations walkable. Great place for the kids - video games, loft beds.Washing machine, small appliances, cups, plates, bowls, clothes pins, shaving cream. Lots of little things to make it easy to do stuff. Wifi was good on first floor and front bedroom. Bidet style toilets. Owner was very helpful. Adequate lighting. The stairway required special care for the grandpa. Not quite enough electrical outlets in entry/living room.
- Cole (10/5): Was a great stay - Great Nothing

- Simon (9/5): Our family loved every minute we were there, definitely will be back - Great location, close to everything we needed, very unique establishment Nothing
- Charisse Krizzia (10/5): The best stay in Japan - The property was only 10 mins away from the nearest station and everything we needed during our stay was at the property. It was huge and managed to fit 8 adults comfortably, it also has 3 toilets and 2 showers which is very much convenient of you are travelling with a big group None
- Siu (10/5): Great place to stay in Tokyo for families. - Secret base was our favourite place we stayed in Japan. It was a lot of fun. It had everything we needed for our stay. The location was reasonably close to train station / airport train and 7/11 and supermarket. Some blackout curtains. But it maybe a Japanese thing not to have blackout curtains.
- Lakshmi (10/5): Unique, convenient, spacious and the hosts have thought of everything. Highly recommend! - Excellent location. Right in front of a7 eleven which has everything. Walking distance to the beautiful Sumida River, and many interesting locations like the Sensoji temple and Samurai museum. Great restaurants nearby. Nothing
- Marcel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (9/5): Awesome place to start a trip in Japan - Architecture of the house, utilities, very clean Could have an international plug adaptor
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Duncan (10/5): Highly recommend. - The set up of the accommodation was excellent. Every facility you could need was there.
Not too far from the train stations.
- Lisa (10/5): Fun and special - It’s unique and comfortable
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - Our favourite place we stayed in Japan! The house was so much fun for a group of friends to stay in - from the alligator slippers, the ninja costume and all the rooms and spaces to chill in. Very comfortable to sleep and great location <10 mins from a metro station with many food options nearby. Can’t wait to visit again. N/a
A dryer would have been nice to wash clothes on shorter stays.
- Pindur (10/5): Spacious place to stay in a bigger group right in the center of Tokyo with great facilites - This was one of the best places we stayed in during our Japan trip - it was really spacious, had great utilities (multiple bathrooms and toilets) and offered separated bedrooms. The whole apartment was cleaned to perfection and had slippers to use during the stay.
- Lam (8/5): Great location with plenty for rooms for a large group. - Great location, close to rail stations and convenience stores. WiFi was really slow
- Carla (10/5): Lived it and would highly recommend. - Facilities, location and convenience and especially cleanliness.
- Simil (9/5): Incredible experience - The property is super well-located and well-connected, and their team is just a text away always ready to help. They even arranged an early check-in, which was a huge plus. The ninja theme is both unique and cozy, while still being super comfortable. Plus, having two showers/bathrooms makes it even more convenient when traveling with friends. Highly recommend! Wifi connection is poor. Nothing else tbh
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (10/5): dream home. - clean and had a lot of good utilities, location was comfortable and quiet and nearby asakusa where sensoji temple is NOTHING
- Amanda (6/5): Overall the stay was good as long as you are not a light sleeper. - It’s very clean and tidy and bed is rather comfortable although it would be lovely to have more pillows. The property is beside the street. On the last night of my stay there is construction work going on in the middle of the night till early morning. It’s near impossible to have a good rest.
- Theodore (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and well stocked with what you need. Great location too
- Diana (9/5): Love it. - Big space, two bathrooms and toilets, enough for big group The room close to the street is a bit noisy and it's quite bright in the morning. The other room is fine
- Jorika (10/5): An absolute gem of a place to stay for families and groups - We absolutely loved our stay in the Ninja House. So much attention to detail, you have everything you could need. Fully functioning kitchen and washer etc. The adult kids enjoyed the entertainment system including a gaming console, youtube etc. The beds are comfy and the location is perfect. Only a few minutes from the nearest station and a 10 minute walk along the river to Asakusa. There is a convenience store just across the road and a big supermarket within walking distance. Its great value for money, especially for families or groups. Highly recommend this place! PS we loved the slippers <3
- Truman (9/5): Great stay and good location. Great host! - Switch for chill days, multiple toilets for group travellers. The tap doesn’t exactly reach the bathtub.
- Jacob (10/5): Great place for our first time in Tokyo - Six of us stayed here and had a great time. The place is very stylish and spacious. It is very well equipped, especially the kitchen and laundry area. It was great to have two showers for getting ready in the morning quickly and it is nice that the toilets are separate from the showers to stop the bathrooms being constantly in use in the mornings.
Floor plan is great with two spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Bedding is light and great for the summer, and the AC cools the rooms quickly. The front area with the table is great, and we enjoyed playing mario kart on the nintendo switch during some downtime (there are many games provided).
Very close to Kuramae subway station and the location is very nice, with the nearby river, the Sky Tree and Senso-Ji. Also a vending machine right outside the front door.
This is neither a negative or positive (I didn’t mind) but know that payment is taken off platform. The payment was easy. You are also given the entry code before you pay, and I was sent the invoice on the day of arrival. So you can arrive, connect to their Wi-Fi and then pay the invoice to unlock the bedrooms.
We would easily come back and stay again! The Wi-Fi was great in downstairs by the table and upstairs in the ‘Japanese style room’ but the Wi-Fi extender in the ‘Western style room’ was patchy and hardly worked. Not a big deal as we are out exploring Tokyo! It is also on the corner of a busy intersection and we heard many loud ambulances passing through at all hours.
Nothing more than minor inconveniences.
- Joey (9/5): Superb -
- Dyen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ching (9/5): Excellent - Location n staying experience No.
- Ashwin1092 (7/5): Good -

- Verified traveler (8/5):
