Guest Reviews
- JAVIER (6/5): - Todo bien.
- José Antonio (10/5): - Bien. Es un lugar acogedor y luminoso.
Tv pequeña. Caja fuerte no funcional. Se duerme bien. Es silencioso. Cercano a los principales monumentos. Personal atento.
- PATRICIA SALINAS (10/5): - Todo perfecto
Tranquilidad absoluta.
- julian romero (10/5): - Está muy bien situado. Puedes ir andando al centro historico. Muy relación calidad-precio
- bellemex (10/5): Location and price - This is not a “hostal” with shared bathrooms. We recommend this hotel for its location, price, customer service. Very simple hotel (we knew this when we booked it) but clean, nicer than expected. We only had orange juice to go for breakfast; the breakfast area was super cold. No noise from other rooms. Nice beds, we asked for and received hot water and ice. The shower is very small, if you are large this will be very uncomfortable. Water pressure and temperature was great. Parking was not a problem. Close to everything, Baeza is a small town. The promenade with views of the olive trees behind the hotel is safe, clean and is great for walks, strolling, and sunsets. Avoid Michelin restaurants as they are a fiasco, not worth it. Go eat with the locals.
- Manuel (10/5): - Todo bien
- Jose (10/5): - Ok
- kevins684 (8/5): Very good value - A very good small hotel in the centre of the town very near all the sights. Parking will be difficult as it is in all the small towns with historic centres in Spain but we managed to find an on street spot just 50 metres away. Our bed-room was not large but on par with what you would expect for a city centre hotel, and much better that the title ‘hostal’ or the price might suggest. The room is modern, immaculately clean, powerful shower, good wifi, safe, tv we didn’t try, perfect for a few days. And of course it has a swimming pool. About 8x4 metres with seating for 14 people even with Covid restrictions it proved a very welcome relief after a hot morning sightseeing in 36c. Break-fast not included, options available. With again a language barrier we asked for ‘standard breakfast’ which turned out to be just the Andalucian with toasted bread roll spread with olive oil and tomatoes to taste with coffee or tea. That was only €2.40 per person, good value. But adding eggs juice etc was beyond our language capabilities with no assistance from the staff in trying to help.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Bien - Bon rapport qualité prix. Bien situé à proximité du centre.
- Rudi (8/5): - Schöne Lage direkt in der Altstadt. Sehr freundliches Personal.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, well located a great place to stay in Baeza - which is stunningly beautiful. Would I stay here again, yes. In Baeza - absolutely.
- johngcurrie (8/5): Good Hotel, Excellent Location and Excellent Value - This is a fairly new hotel located right behind the Cathedral. the rooms were largish and ours was one of the few that faced the street. While the bathroom was large the shower was fairly tight, and at 6 ft, 160 lbs I do not take up a lot of room. The first floor has a small Patio where we could sit.. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a bit of noise but nothing that a seasoned traveller is not used to. The price was very good. In fact 3 nights here equated to 1 night in a similar room in Sevilla.
- LaJarrie (10/5): Handy location, and very good value for money - Stayed here not long after it opened several years ago, and when deciding to stay in Baeza again this year the Aznaitin hostal leapt out at us! Very reasonably priced indeed, including buffet breakfast. Breakfast simple, but fine, especially when considering the price. Rooms immaculately clean, nice linen and soft beds, with memory foam pillows (which you will either love or hate). Wi-fi good in our room. Friendly and helpful staff, also giving good options for restaurants or tapas bars. Quiet location, and only a few moments from the stunning old buildings of the town. Not desperately easy to find, as tucked away behind the cathedral on the edge of the Casco Antiguo, and if going by car, make sure it is isn’t too big!... the streets leading there are pretty narrow, even for Spain. On street parking nearby.
- tripprf (8/5): Ideal location in the historic section of Baeza - The hotel was located very close to the historic center of Baeza and easy walking distance to restaurants. The rooms are modern, very clean, and although somewhat small for more than two people, are still a very good value for the money. Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location,,excellent price, adequate size room and friendly,,helpful staff
- ankitarora200 (10/5): Superb value for money - I was driving from Andalusia towards Madrid and Baeza seemed like a perfect one night stopover and Hostal Aznaitin seemed like an economical option. Firstly the town itself blew away our mind, its tiny but so beautiful especially at night when we were the only ones wandering the dimly lit medieval streets. The Hostal is superb, ample street parking nearby and we had a private double room which had ample space for both of us with a balcony overlooking the street. The breakfast was cheap and pretty good. We struggled a bit at check-in because we don't know Spanish but the lady at the reception was sweet and tried her best to speak in English. Overall a lovely place and an awesome value for money for the price
- Nick (10/5): - Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, on the edge of the historic quarter. A little difficult to find through the old town with tiny winding streets, but definitely worth the effort. Bar was handy too. Baeza was lovely.
- SoloBella (10/5): Exactly what we hoped for and more - Nice little hostel just on the fringe of the historical centre. Street parking for the car. Friendly reception. Spotless room. Copious breakfast. Price deceivingly low for quality. All sanitation tastefully done in special tiles and marble. Room not huge but adequate. Comfortable bed with firm mattress. Pity they don't open the cervezeria any more, but nice tapas bar 50m away and a great restaurant 2 minutes away.
- GarryC363 (10/5): Superb - Wow first of all Baeza was an inexpected gem of a town to visit. A place small enough to really enjoy sightseeing and all the history in the town. The hostal is right there a short walk to all the amazing sights and local restaurants. Our room was very cute and clean. The receptionist was very hospitable and willing to provide information and a recommended route to walk as well as places to eat that were the locals favourites. The breakfast next morning was more than superb. Lots of selection and quantity. We highly recommend a visit to Baeza and staying at the Hostal.
- 898yves (8/5): Hotel picked at random, last minute but - LUCKY DIP!
A charming, small, modern, spotless place with very nice staff! We enjoyed the pool after a long drive and breakfast the next morning was served before the advertised 07.30 time: suited us perfectly as we still had a considerable mileage ahead...
We will return!
- simonesP7210YB (8/5): Clean and modern hotel, but no bar facilities - Room is clean and modern. Airco was ok, but not as cold as we needed.
Swimming pool is small, but fine.
We got no information about the breakfast, although it was possible.
Location is great, close to the monuments and restaurants.
English of the Receptionist was very basic. It was a pity the hotel only offers water (2,5 euro for 0.4lit!) and no other drinks or food. There was a bar around the corner.
- amadeo194 (8/5): Modern bathroom - Use a GPS or map to find the hotel.
A couple of streets to narrow.
Gided tours, but check for your language.
Cost 12 Euros for 2 hours and 30 minutes,
and by mini train for 45 minutes cost 3 Euros.
Many Tapas bars on the main street, and
one next to the hotel.
Despenaperos museum was closed early May,
so left for Cordoba and Malaga harbor area.
Very friendly reception.
- megm169 (8/5): Great small hotel in charming Baeza - This is a very nice small hotel a half a block away from a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It has been nicely updated and is very clean. The hotel also has an elevator which we really appreciated since my husband had a recent injury. Breakfast was offered for 5 euros but wasn't worth it. The biggest down side was that it is difficult to find by car.
- klangtest (10/5): Where we always stay in Baeza - Our third stay at Aznaitin, and just as enjoyable as before. Though now showing faint signs of wear, it's a modern concept in a classic house on the edge of Baeza's fine monumental old town – a very useful location for parking, which is otherwise mighty tricky. The staff are friendly and very professional. This is our go-to hotel in Baeza, it's incredible value, and we'll not stay elsewhere.
- Susana61 (10/5): Build more Aznaitins! - This two star hostal was better than many three star hotels we stayed in. It even has a pool and exercise room, although I didn't check these. Breakfast was included and was very good, and location was perfect, in the middle of the historical centre.didn't check these. Breakfast was included and was very good.
We stayed in room 'Catedral', in the corner, with two windows and a nice view.
- nauticals_13 (10/5): Immaculate little gem of a hotel. - Immaculate hotel, good location, quiet but just round the corner from the city centre. Free but limited parking just outside in road, but we had no problem. The old building has been refurbished inside to a very, good standard, it is very clean and comfortable and enhanced by having an indoor gym next to a very nice secluded outdoor swimming pool. The hotel like Baeza has plenty of character and good ambiance. Our first floor room had a Juliet balcony overlooking the street, the staff are very nice and a reasonable continental breakfast is provided at 5 euro. Highly recommend this hotel for good value and would definitely stay here again.
- O7367CUjohnm (8/5): Perfect location for exploring Baeza - This hotel has been recently refurbished to a high standard. Rooms are a good size and the hotel was very clean. The staff are very friendly but speak very little English. Parking is easy in the street close by. We travelled there in June and there was no problem finding spaces.
