Victoria (5/5): Disappointed - The room was cute and management was friendly Noise, shower pressure, shower would go hot and cold then all cold, tv didn't work, no ice our whole stay, dirty ice bucket, no pool or breakfast as promised in the ad, experienced racism and discrimination at the local restaurant recommended by the lodge. Lodge was not located in Island Park as advertised, therefore much further from amenities and Yellowstone west entrance than we planned for, costing more money and time.

Emanuela (9/5): - Room and essential services clean and functional, comfortable air conditioning in welcoming hunting/fishing style furnishings. Also suitable for multi-day stays. Very helpful staff and check in was super easy. Breakfast and lunch nearby with little choice (not included in the price). Tip: Try not to be assigned rooms on the lower floor to avoid any disturbance from noisy guests on the upper floors.

Aby (4/5): Not good - Location close to highway, the bed and the blankets were clean and good. The room is very small and not worth for the money paid. Fridge, Microwave and coffee maker is placed in the bath room, that is not expected or acceptable, so we did not use any of those. There were mosquitos inside and around the room, so we could not even open the door for few seconds. Room was clean though it was too small. There was water on the bath room floor that is also not acceptable. I stayed in another property(Cabin Village) 10 miles away form this property which was just $25 more that was kind of 5 star( specious room and bath room). The stairs and outside area were too dusty and not at all clean, Our family was really uncomfortable staying and checked out very early morning.

The gas station/convenience store .1 miles away had great smash burgers and fries at a reasonable price. There appeared to be several restaurants nearby. Check in is done via text. We were coming from Yellowstone with 0 service. Had to borrow wifi from a hotel in West Yellowstone. Other than that, everything was great.

Leonard (2/5): - The River Lodge cabin we had for two nights was awful. Floors were so filthy that even after showering if you walked on the floor just in the bathroom without shoes you had to wash your feet with a wet cloth before putting your house shoes on. There were spiders in webs in the ceiling that I had to knock down with a wet cloth when I saw them after showering as well as webs with insects caught in them. The cabin was inconvenient as there was no place to store any foods other than those that would need refrigeration. The bed linens on the beds did not look as if they were fresh washed as there were stains on one of the bottom sheets where something had been spilled and left. We were only booked for a 2 night stay and requested trash pickup before we left this morning at 6:45 and received a text message that because we requested trash pickup we were charged for a 3rd night. The request was only to let management know that we had left. All I can say to anyone thinking of booking a stay at River Lodge is DO NOT BOOK. I would never recommend River Lodge to anyone ever. This was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed.

Alan (5/5): The location was good. However, the road condition to get to cabins were awful you may need to make several attemptsfet - Told to text for trash pick up, texted but never picked up. Had asked for towels and toilet paper but that never came either. I had to phone the next day to get the trash picked up and get toilet paper and towels. The road back to cabins was awful. Ruts, they need to gravel and level out. We had two cabins and only one of the cabins had the key left in room for late Check in. Had to contact and put all luggage in one cabin to secure it since no key for one of the cabins.

No that is how you check-in and your room is unlocked and you message when you arrive and leave. When i received the text I didn't have service for the day. It was just weird, its just technology.

Sandie (6/5): Nice location, clean room, but no internet as advertised. - The cabin was wonderful and clean. The location fit our needs perfectly. Loved the texting check in and check out. The big screen TV with direct TV worked great. On their website, it says "access to high speed internet". We were unable to get on on to their internet. We texted and called to no avail. I was told that it was "just a guest internet" and we were in the mountains with spotty service. In order for a text to send, we had to be out on the porch. In the room, it said "emergency calls only." (We have T-Mobile) Yes, we were in the mountains, but needed the internet to make sure I could be reached as I was on a heart monitor. We have stayed in other cabins in the same area with no issues. Had I known, I would not have stayed there. It is a perfect place if you are ok with not being connected.

It's a self check in, not that I didn't like that but, didn't know that because they text you the info. Apparently, mine went to spam. So I contacted the property, they got us checked in quickly. I like the concept, but check your spam if you don't hear from them. Their is no office at that property.

Daniel (7/5): Reasonable place for a stop on the way south from Yellowstone - The location was very good for us, also the kitchen was good and has a big refrigerator which was very convenient for us as a family of five. The water in the sink in the bathroom came very small stream, and showering in the morning was either hot burning water or cold water. Was very difficult to have it on comfortable lukewarm water. One chair in the cabin had several broken pieces in its legs which we didn’t want to use and the other chair had wiggling backrest. It had also not very clean floors and stairway . It could be a very nice place with a little more effort
