- Catherine (10/5): Wonderfil - Beatiful views, great, friendly service and great accommodation. Nothing
- Linda (6/5): Disappointed - View and garden. No one to greet. Door locked on arrival.
- Dan (10/5): Perfect for our over night stay on business, we seemed to step out of the bustle. - Perfect for our overnight stay away on business. Very welcoming and very helpful which made our evening very relaxing. we were set up for the following day with a great breakfast.
- John (9/5): - Beautiful location
Friendly hostess Room was small and a little cramped.
- James (10/5): Great hidden gem in a handy but hideaway location - Really warm welcome. Clean and comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast spread. Lovely relaxing drawing room with open fire. Very welcoming of dogs. Only issue was the noise in our room from water pipes when anyone else flushed their toilet or used the tap.
- Claude (8/5): -
- steven (9/5): Beautiful Lodge - Location and views amazing
Suzy was first class
Breakfast excellent
Packed lunch a bonus Nothing!
- Anne (10/5): - Very relaxing in a beautiful part of the country. Good food and helpful staff.
- Alanis (10/5): Lovely place, exceptional hosting! A great stay - I liked the quirkiness of this hotel, Suzie went above and beyond for us whilst staying there. We were going to a gig nearby and the owner drove us to where we were going. The property was extremely clean. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of options were there to choose from. Everything was great

- Dave AB15 (10/5): A real discovery. - This property is in the countryside near Melrose with beautiful views over the Border countryside. It is a Victorian lodge and it is like staying in a large, comfortable, cosy family home. I was well cared for by Suzie Walker the hostess. The bedroom and bathroom were large and well supplied with all the usual items that we expect in accommodation nowadays: coffee and tea, trouser press, iron, hot water bottles, etc. An unexpected extra was the small decanter of sherry in the room.
The food was excellent, a generous dinner one evening. The breakfast menu was extensive and everything was freshly cooked, no dried out breakfast buffet food here. Lots of use was made of local foodstuffs.
Strongly recommended. Very little could be better, but guests need to accept that it is out in the country and not easily accessible by public transport. To be really picky the wi-fi network is a bit variable, not unexpected in an old thick walled building.
- Danon (10/5): Solo femal traveler walking St. Cuthbert’s Way. Quiet, restful night. Great company at dinner. The food was excellent! - The food! Nothing
- Ruth (8/5): Would stay again. - Views, garden. Nothing
- Louise (10/5): Wonderful relaxing stay on our walking trip. Dog and selves were made very welcome. - Beautiful setting, Victorian lodge, spacious reception rooms.
Very comfortable bedrooms.
Great welcome, we were very well looked after.
Property set in large grounds.
- Simon (9/5): Country house comfort in the gorgeous Borders - Breakfast was a comprehensive Scottish spread, served in an exquisite country house dining room. The other public rooms were full of furniture, photos and memorabilia, giving guests the feeling of arriving at one's family's country seat after a hectic week in the City. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were equally classy, the latter having plumbing of a bygone decade (though still functioning perfectly), the former equipped with mountains of luxury bedlinen, an unbelievable view of the Borders scenery ... and a little decanter of sherry in case one wanted a snifter before bed! Suzie and her staff made us feel very welcome indeed. What didn't we like? Almost nothing. The kettle in the room had seen better days and the selection of teas was limited.
- Bram (9/5): Excellent B&B in a lovely spot. - The welcome by the host. The beautiful location and well maintained building. Excellent bed, and spacious room.
- Philippa (10/5): Highly recommendedĥ - Excellent all round. I was made to feel really welcome.Spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable bedroom with glorious view. The food was delicious...both dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended
- John (10/5): met some very nice people sorry our stay was so short - very nice welcome including the dog
the room was excellent and so was breakfast
would book again next time i am in the area it was all good
- Camilla (6/5): Stunning location but could do with a spruce up - The location is simply stunning, and was really handy for where we were going.
The extra large bed was great.
The breakfast was good. I should have noticed before booking, but I was silly to assume there would be showers in each bathroom. Just a bath with an attachment that wasn't very powerful was annoying and didn't help us to feel fresh in the morning.
Whilst we weren't there to watch TV we did need to spend the evening in our room with our dog, and the TV remote didn't work.
Whilst the venue promotes there is always someone to help if you need, the radiator was stuck on in our room, leaving us and our dog sweltering even with the windows open. I went downstairs and knocked on the residence door, and could hear the TV with the football on, however got ignored. I then had to ring the phone number provided on booking . Com, and had to wait for the heating to be turned off when the host got home, and frankly sounded annoyed that I'd disturbed their night out.
When we arrived with our dog I was asked if he was friendly, and I said he'd be fine with other dogs, to which the host replied with having to keep their dog away then as it wasn't friendly to other dogs. Why on earth advertise a dog friendly if you get that reception about their own dog?
We felt like we were a constant inconvenience, unfortunately.

- Eve (10/5): A really lovely treat! - Beautiful location,beautiful place,very friendly host,delicious breakfasts Nothing all good
- Mark (8/5): Single night stay in Clint Lodge - Impressive house with far distance views over the countryside. Very warm welcome and an excellent meal served in the evening and breakfast. Large bedroom with an equally large, comfortable bed. The bathroom is a little tired and unfortunately the toilet cistern was not working properly which let the place down.
- Albert (10/5): Comfort and Peace - Beautiful spot very welcoming and comfortable accommodation with fantastic breakfast

- linda (10/5): Unwind and relaxing stay - We had a fantastic time at Clint lodge the people are friendly and it is a great place to unwind with lovely views, off road parking great food and lovely rooms . Host goes our her way to help make your stay a good and memorable one.
- Molly (9/5): Comfortable and well fed ! - The breakfast and evening meals ( to order) were excellent. The view was superb - even better in good weather! The room was large and well equipped , bed was comfortable and the hostess is very friendly and pleasant. Lots of free parking. There was a lounge and conservatory available for the use of guests. Free Wifi. The TV was not working all week and the reading lights were inadequate. We felt the room rate was excessive. Also the house was several miles out of town, but some people may not mind that.
- Michael (8/5): Short break in Borders - Fairly late booking so got last available room which is smaller than others but large lounge and conservatory to sit in plus garden seating.
Large bath had no rails so getting out was difficult and wouldn't be suitable for some people.
Breakfast was excellent and we had dinner on two evenings, again quality of food very good.
Host and staff very friendly and helpful.
Located a short distance from St Boswell with lovely views across river, car essential if staying here.
- malcolm (10/5): Just lovely - Fabulous stay at Clint Lodge.
So welcoming and the bonus of being dog friendly which they truly are.
Lovely bright, comfortable room with a view. Breakfast delicious.
Totally relaxing couple of nights away from it all.
- Alison (10/5): Warmly Recommended - Spent 3 nights at Clint Lodge. Loved it - a warm welcome from the hostess, who is also a wonderful cook and provided us with breakfast and excellent dinners on all 3 nights. It is BYO, so you save on alcohol costs.
The Lodge has a lot of old-world charm, with country-house decor and furnishings.
Very comfortable and clean. There is a lovely garden, a beautiful view and complete silence and darkness at night.
Handily located for trips to the surrounding abbey towns (by car or bicycle via the 4 Abbeys Route)) and near to St Cuthbert’s walk and the River Tweed.
I believe also popular for fishing and shooting.
- John (8/5): Tranquillity by the Tweed - Quiet and peaceful. Pleasant location if you appreciate the aforementioned. Central for the eastern Scottish Borders
- tamra (10/5): Make sure you order dinner - Lovely
- john (10/5): Calm retreat - Welcoming peaceful and quiet. Great food excellent countryside.

- LDS (10/5): Lovely spot with a gorgeous view’ - Heather was delightful and made sure that all our needs were met. Her home is lovely and afternoon tea was delightful.
The beds were comfortable and and the en suite large. Everything was just plain lovely!
- alberto (10/5): Albergo confortevole con bella vista sulla vallata - Albergo nella campagna a 10 minuti dalla città più vicina , molto tranquillo e confortevole , arredato in modo curato e tipico ....
