- Victor (10/5): -
- francesca (8/5): Consigliato - Ottima posizione, camera spaziosa, terrazza con vista mozzafiato, proprietaria gentilissima. Scala interna ripida con gradini alti.
- Marcio (9/5): -

- Dawit (10/5): The house was beautiful and very clean, with a spectacular view. Communication with the host was excellent and made the - Everything Nothing
- petra (8/5): Prima locatie - Super locatie, hartje Centro storico Monopoli Badkamer. Enorm hoog bad waarin je moest
douchen. Niet comfortabel en niet erg schoon
- Amandine (6/5): Bon séjour - L’emplacement Très cher pour une chambre
- Cassandra (7/5): Good - Great Location near beautiful cathedral, close to restaurants and bars The staircase to go up to the room was super steep and narrow. If you are carrying even a medium suitcase it gets challenging . Definitely this property not suitable for older people or anyone with mobility issues. The lights were tricky to find.
- henrique (10/5): - Localização, limpeza, tamanho da acomodação e atendimento dos funcionários. A vista do terraço é magnífica.
- Camilo (9/5): - Muy bien ubicado.
- Joe (8/5): We had a minor issue, but overall it was good. - Great location, large room. The light over the bathroom mirror was not connected so it was difficult to see for shaving. When we checked in there was very little toilet paper. We waited over a day to get more.
- Leonardo (9/5): -
- Joana (5/5): lack of communication - The location of the property is excellent, with the cathedral just a short walk away. Regarding smoking: the reservation clearly stated that the room was non-smoking, which I respected. However, nothing indicated that smoking was also prohibited on the balcony. I was careful to keep the door closed, and I can assure you there was no smell in the room. It is unusual that a balcony would be considered non-smoking, and it would be helpful to make this clear in advance.
As for the Wi-Fi: I did use the password written on the router, but unfortunately the connection simply did not work during my stay. Since “fast Wi-Fi” is one of the advertised features, this was disappointing.
Finally, on the point of toiletries: the description on Booking states that the bathroom includes free toiletries. Yet, there were none available on arrival. Guests normally expect basics such as shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper to be provided without having to request them separately via WhatsApp.
My review was an honest reflection of what I encountered. Future guests will surely appreciate clearer communication about these aspects.
- christophe (8/5): - Location in the center Town. The small size of the bathroom and the approximative cleaning of the apartment.

- Ali (6/5): Great location, limited facilities, - The location is excellent! Nice clean building, the host tried to help with suggestions when we needed help, although this was limited as we didn’t feel comfortable constantly whatsapping someone with our problems. The cleanliness was good when we arrived and the AC worked very well to keep us cool. No daily cleaning service so no fresh towels every day, no warning of very tall narrow winding stairs so we weren’t prepared to lug big bags up and down the stairs. Important for people who have knee and hip problems or health issues to know if they book a room high up. A kitchen is available for common use but we didn’t use it because it felt more like a storage facility for towels and toilet rolls. The plug sockets are for older plugs so we didn’t have access to charge our phones or tongs etc, we ended up buying an adaptor for our adaptor, tv was a small monitor size, no tea or coffee facility or water in the room we had to stock up ourselves. Drunk visitors were busy on the roof top, the stairs to which happened to be outside our room. Lots of clammering and loud noises at 2am. If someone turned on the light outside our room the light would shine directly into our room which was inconvenient when trying to sleep. The beds kept slipping apart from each other as it was two single beds put together, this made things uncomfortable. Shower cubicle was tiny, and the lighting could be much better for us girls trying to get ready for the day or a night out
- Janice (9/5): Superb - The location in the Centro Historico is wonderful, although not right next to Garibaldi Piazza, it's on a quieter side near the Cathedral in one of those clean narrow alleys that make up this incredibly beautiful old Greek city, yes Greek originally. Such a wonderfully bakery, Fritz, is better than Café Roma for sure, is around the corner. One can stroll in either direction for the main attractions. My room was huge, really like having a studio apartment, which was fantastic, because I there for 6 days and could stretch out, return to somewhere home like, and either go out for dinner or bring something home (away from home) The kitchen facility was downstairs in the lower ground level. The owner needs to improve the lighting in the kitchen. One can still have energy saving devices yet have a brighter space in order to see.
- Gary (9/5): Superb - Big comfortable room. Great rooftop view. Excellent location. Fridge in room. Kitchen was a little basic.
- Stephanie (8/5): Lovely place to stay, would recommend. - Rooms were in an excellent location in the old town. Had booked for bed and breakfast -understood that breakfast would be provided at a local cafe but there was no information avaiable.
- Mary (7/5): A Stunning Historic Stay! - The location was perfect - walking distant to all the sites we wanted to see, restaurants, cafes, bars, and the sea. The rooms were spacious. The rooftop terrace with its amazing view was a perfect place for our appertivo each night, and the shared kitchen was a great place to meet as a group but still have our own private room. This is a tower with steep stairs which was part of its charm. Because this is the historic center of Monopoli, parking is nightmare - not the fault of the hosts but something to keep in mind. The rooms have limited places for clothing, no dresser and a closet with just 3 hangers. We were 3 couples and the kitchen was not well stocked: only 4-5 drinking glasses and the same amount of wine glasses, no plates or silverware, no coffee. We also had difficulty connecting with our host to pay our local tax and were left waiting when we wanted to be out sightseeing.
- Magdalena (10/5): Perfect - Wonderful location in the old town, amazing view over Monopoli from a roof terrace. A nice little kitchen downstairs, comfortable beds. Everything was great.Steep stairs are to be considered
- Koren (9/5): Superb -
- Marlene (9/5): Location and view make for great value. - The location couldn't have been better, and the rooftop view was amazing. I didn't like the steep stairs but there's nothing you can do about that. The room, while very spacious, could have used more furnishings to make it cosier. And I was disappointed that a cafe breakfast was only for the first morning, but maybe I misread the description.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabela (10/5): Marvelous location and surroundings, astonishing 360° view from the roof terrace, friendly staff. - It has a great location and all the surroundings are extremely beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and lovely deco. The staff was friendly and attentive. The Breakfast was a surprise bonus as it wasn't in the pack, we had every morning in a cafe nearby. Delicious pastries and italian coffee. The cherry of the cake was the roof terrace with a 360° view of the city, absolutely astonishing! My partner didn't like the shower as he couldn't got the shower head high enough for him and the floor would get wet after a shower. We wish the bed was a queen bed instead of two large singles, apart from that everything was perfect for us.
- Amanda (7/5): Great view - The location is awesome and the rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to enjoy a glass of wine watching the sun go down. Our room was lovely, absolutely huge with a small balcony. The aircon worked beautifully. I found the bed comfortable, but my partner didn’t, so I guess that comes down to a personal preference. The voucher for a cornetto and coffee for breakfast was really appreciated. This is a big one for my partner. The property advertises a shared kitchen and there is one. However, we noted that the kettle didnt work on day one, we mentioned this to the girl who checked us in and she asked me to mention it on the group Whatsapp. I did it straight away, there was no acknowledgment and nor was the kettle replaced. The kitchen was also very limited with supplies, no bowls, we managed to find a plastic spoon. So kitchen, is possibly a generous term.
The stairs are steep, no fault of the owner - its just how it is. It was fine for us, but if you have knee or hip problems you may struggle.
- Karen (9/5): Loved it! - Great location, spacious clean room with good facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing really, might have been quite a climb if you’re in the top room!
- Phillipa (10/5): Very relaxing and would definetly recommend. Thankyou ! - Clean, private, spacious, helpful on arrival and with recommendation for health issue. Responded quickly and with care .
- Sandra (9/5): Excellent stay - Great location The stairs - should be advised that their are so steep.
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachelle (10/5): Exceptional - The location just across from the cathedral, right in the heart of the town and a 7 minute walk to the beach was wonderful. We had a car and it was easy to find parking a few streets away. The room was very spacious and it was charming to stay in such an old building. I also enjoyed the coffee that was available in the kitchen and taking it up to the rooftop to watch the sun come up. A lovely stay. We had no problem with the stairs but for someone with knee problems it could be complicated.
- Aliz (10/5): Exceptional - The ticket to the café was a great bonus. We also really liked the access to the coffee machine and croissant in the community kitchen, it added a lot to the experience and well-fare. The staff was incredibly friendly. Highly recommended place.
- Mateusz (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing localization and nice view from the terrace.
- Evitaf (10/5): A real gem in Monopoli! - Friendly and always supportive staff- the owners made me feel like home.spacious room, clean and comfortable . They even provided umbrellas for the 🏖️ beach! The veranda is that little extra you need to make your stay memorable.
- Lidiya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ingvild (9/5): Superb - I liked the spacious room, and the location. The owner's were very easy going and answered quickly. We also enjoyed becoming regulars at The Fritz Café. The roof top has a great view. The aircondition is a little bit noisy.
- Lilla (10/5): Perfect:) - We loved everything! Annarita and her family helped with everything to make our check-in and check-out easier. Thank you again for your flexibility and kindness. 🥰 The roof terrace is not to be missed, it was also wonderful to eat our breakfast there and it is also perfect for late-night champagne. I definitely recommend it, if we visit Monopoli again, we will definitely come back here.🩷
- Chloe (9/5): Overall we loved the location, the room size and the hosts were lovely! - 1. The location is amazing and the old town is really beautiful, especially with the church at the end of the street. It's quite easy to get lost in the back streets which is always fun in a new place!
2. The room itself was really big, which was a really nice change from lots of small rooms. This allowed us to unpack our things and spread out properly to be comfortable as we had big bags due to traveling for an extended period. The bed was really big and comfortable, which again was a nice stay!
3. The hosts were lovely and super helpful - providing us lots of information on parking, beach recommendations and food suggestions! They were extremely responsive and flexible for our check in time as well, which was really nice!
4. The rooftop is seriously beautiful, and there's ample amount of chairs up there for multiple guests to sit - as long as you're happy to get a leg workout in the process! 1. The breakfast was really not viable for us, as my partner is coeliac (gluten free). We were told there'd be options for him at the cafe that the business has partnered with, but there was only 1 option and we would've had to pay extra for it. This meant he only got a coffee, not a coffee and a pastry option as described, and the owner didn't seem to care much about offering something else to him. They also took the cards from us, meaning we couldn't get a coffee for every morning, only one - which we didn't realise was going to be the case.
2. The clothes drying rack is absolutely tiny, and only holds a couple things at a time. We also were not comfortable having it over the edge of the balcony as it was obvious it would fall in the wind due to it's instability. I would suggest having a proper drying line installed on the balcony, or providing a bigger one for people to use inside the room - especially as the room is so big. This is particularly useful for long-term travellers like ourselves, who need to wash more than a couple small things at once.
3. If it's not already advertised - it should be obvious in the listing there there stairs up to the property are steep and narrow. It was fine for us as we're young, but it was still a struggle with our big cases - so other people with mobility issues or a bit older might struggle. For this I think it should be explained early on in the listing.
- Alicia (10/5): Wonderful Hotel in Historic Center - The hotel was in the perfect location in the old town close to everything! The beach was only a short walk away and many amazing restaurants nearby. The room was very big with a lovely little balcony and the communal terrace had amazing views of the entire town and sea! Staff were so nice and helpful.
- Anne (9/5): We enjoyed our stay in a B&B that was ideally located and comfortable. - Bright, spacious rooms; friendly host; excellent location (steps from historic district, beach, restaurants, grocery stores); rooftop patio with lovely views. A softer bedspread and softer towels would be nice. A tidier area where coffee/tea was available. Some simple directions on use of coffee machine.
- Queen (9/5): Superb - Amazing location with great views and so close to the beach, the hosts handled everything so professionally and with so much kindness❤️
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Authentic Italian building, regularly cleaned. Perfect location to get out and about, brilliant rooftop where you can catch the sunset and see all of Monopoli. On top of that, a great price. I couldn’t recommend it more
- Kevin (10/5): I felt fortunate to have such a great room in such a convenient charming location! I'd return for the city and the a - Great location, nice greeting. Breakfast close by. I felt so fortunate- cheerful room and a pleasant scent. All good. Careful if you are on the top floor. Winding stairs.
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (10/5): Amazing rooftop area , lovely spacious rooms at the heart of Monopoli - A lovely spacious room , we arrived early and check in was no problem , great communication with the owner . The B&B is within the old city so you are within 10 minutes stroll of everything . The rooftop area is just amazing and really adds to your stay . 10/10
- Rhiyen (10/5): Excellent and grateful i found this property - Fantastic host who met me for check in , they gave me all the privacy and were ready if i chose to ask any questions or make any requests, the house was unbelievably well located- directly next to the most beautiful cathedral in all of monopoli which i had no idea about until i arrived and saw the stunning beauty. The roof terrace has 360 degree views of ALL of monopoli and is a stone throw from the sea front ! This is a must stay location and i can’t wait to come back again ! 5 stars from me - thank you so much ! The entire experience was fantastic- there was nothing i did not like.
- Anna (7/5): Ok, though not quite as fine as expected - The location is exceptional. It is a nice touch that you get a classic Italian breakfast (caffe and cornetto) at a nearby bar. The room is really big and offers enough space. The room is described as superior, it is certainly not. The bed was not very comfortable, in fact the 2 mattresses in a double bed had a different height. The beautiful view you see in the pictures is from a commonly used roof top terrace that you have to climb to, the view out of the rooms is a wall (house across the narrow street). The mirror in the bathroom is way to low, if you don’t like seeing your face, you’d love it. Despite the fact that the room was cleaned well, details like the deeply yellow color on the bottom of the basically white shower curtain made us feel uncomfortable.
- Jenny (7/5): Good - Great location. Big clean room on the first floor. Nice roof terrace looking over the tops of houses and churches (up 4 flights of stairs - no lift). There are no staff there but easy to get hold of by whatsapp. Breakfast is a voucher for a (very nice) croissant and coffee in cafe Frizz close by. The cafe is a nice place to go with lovely owners but not what we were expecting after being spoilt by amazing breakfasts in other places we stayed. There's a kitchen in the property though.
- Leanne (5/5): Good location and Terrace but misrepresented and not comfortable - Location
Roof top Terrace
Contact person was Bed was rock hard like sleeping on a table
Fridge was so loud couldn’t sleep so had to be unplugged
Linen on beds was terrible
Room paid for with a view had no view at all and picture of the place is not the place at all but the cathedral
Steps up where extremely steep and hard enough to walk let alone carry case up
- Anne (8/5): Lovely location. Clean & comfortable room - Good size room, comfy bed. Very clean. Nice to have a fridge in the room. Valeria was lovely let us in early and explained that vouchers were used at a local cafe for breakfast. It was is a very good location. We were able to borrow a beach umbrella which was great as very hot. The roof terrace was lovely and peaceful just quite high to get to! The bathroom was quite dated and the shower base filled up with water quickly and took a long time to drain. This meant a wait for my husband to be able to shower. We are very pleased we were on the first floor as the stairs up are extremely steep and narrow, think we would have struggled with our luggage.
- Tracey (9/5): Such a great location, within walking distance to everything you need. The room was very clean and comfortable and the o -
- Krashkov (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anett (9/5): Great views, don’t miss out! - Located in the middle of the historic centre, the apartment, and especially the rooftop terrace is a hidden gem, we absolutely loved it.
The hostess Valeria was super flexible with our check in, although we arrived close to midnight.
We also liked the breakfast options.
- Riccardo (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): Perfect base to explore Puglia we loved it and had a wonderful time - Nice big room, good air con, the roof top terrace was lovely, excellent location, we also loved. going to the little cafes for breakfast ! We were delayed and very late getting to the property, about 2am but we were met by a lovely young lady who greeted us just the same as if we had arrived at midday with a warm welcome and took time to explain everything, amazing customer service! Thank you, We also had a what’sap group incase we needed anything which was nice to know If anything at all the shower was a little bit small, just as feedback
- Tomasz (10/5): Exceptional - fantastic stay.
large and spacious room. comfortable bed. air conditioning. 100 m to the beach and port.also proximity to other beaches. Wonderful neighborhood with an Italian climate - calm.
terrace with an amazing view.wonderful sunset-sipping wine.thank you for your hospitality
- Camila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasa (10/5): Exceptional - Location, comfort, very nice rooms and the best rooftop.
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- John (7/5): great and convenient location! very spacious rooms and everything promised worked - great location, very spacious, clean, lots of character beds were uncomfortable for a couple(two single beds pushed together that kept sliding apart in the night), water pressure was very low and short on hot water. No do not disturb signs for rooms and as a result we were walked in on twice.
- Jim (10/5): MONOPOLI!!! Please Monopoli preserve your old-world charm! DON"T become a gentrified tourist trap! - Monopoli, the B&B and the Apulia region at-large where extremely welcoming with wonderful hospitality.
This B&B is a medieval watchtower so please expect a ton of steep and narrow stairwells if you are booked in an upper room. If you read the reviews and the complaints about the stairs (which I found absurd and void of any understanding about the structure) then take notice before booking. The views alone were worth the climb. The 4th floor room and the balcony view filled my heart and soul. And the lovely Val, the service manager was an angel. My sincere gratitude to all. Monopoli stole my heart and I hope to revisit sooner than later. I would have to be really nit-picky or over critical to say any thing negative about my stay. In an effort to be constructively critical, the shower stall is a bit tight for the space the bathroom affords and offers no storage. for sundries ( soap, shampoo, etc.). The timing of the lights that go off automatically in the stairwell seem too short for the time it takes to ascend and/ or descend from the 4th floor. Again minor details in the bigger picture.
- Edward (10/5): Awesome villa with terrace of panoramic views of Monopoli and the Adriatic Sea - Nicest roof top terrace we’ve ever stayed in. Definitely the nicest in Monopoli - panoramic views of the sea and get sun until very late as it sets over the churches in the west of Monopoli.
The room was very large and the bathroom was nice and clean.
the hostel is located superbly well, in the old town and thirty seconds from the bars and restaurants.
Margherita provides breakfast tokens for both days - offering coffee and croissants. Our cafe was closed on the first day, so to make it up to us, Margherita bought us a bottle of wine. We weren’t annoyed at all about the breakfast but this shows the excellent level of hospitality on offer.
Hopefully we will return to Monopoli and we will definitely stay here if possible.
- Rory (10/5): This is a super place in a fabulous location walking distance to everywhere it’s just excellent - It was a super location and had lots of facilities fridge in room etc The fact we had to leave 😊
- Clara (9/5): Lovely and comfortable accommodation in an historic building. - Wonderful experience of staying in an historic building. Typical breakfast fare in the area provided in a neighboring cafe. Excellent location in the heart of the historic district. No reception area thus requiring contacting the host, which was easily done by texting.
- Sally (8/5): Wonderful, relaxing trip - Great location for our stay as we attended a wedding at The Cathedral. Breakfast was at a nearby cafe with very friendly staff.
- Susan (8/5): friendly owners and great location - lovely spacious bedroom tea facilities were down lots of stairs not in room
- Sara3197 (9/5): Superb -
