Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): Go somewhere else - The room smelled like cigarettes and sweat the entire time. The carpet was sticky and turned my socks black. There were tons of gnats and flies. It took hours for the room to cool down. The sheets were uncomfortable.
- Olga (10/5): - Great! Wonderful reception, clean room, hot shower and close to everything. Just what I was looking for
- Rita-Marie (8/5): - Pet friendly. We arrived late & left early, so it met our needs for a good sleep & a great , hot shower.
- DeAnna (8/5): Not bad for the price - The door to the office was very hard to open. The check in was fine. They remembered to give me the wifi code without me asking (always a plus). The room was clean. The heat was turned on way too high. They needed to fix the sink faucet and deep clean the chair. Otherwise they kept the place tidy and quiet.
- Wayne W (8/5): - Although old, the rooms were very nice with a certain vintage charm.
- David (10/5): - It was an older but very clean room. Very family oriented and very welcoming management.
- Terrie (6/5): - The manager was super friendly and helpful! It was like a "Schitt's Creek" hotel. The carpet was very old. The shower, I didn't bother showering because it kind of grossed me out with the mildew. Everything was old/outdated. AC did not blow air. Pet area was awful to get too and muddy. There was a cigarette burn in the comforter on the bed. There were some strange folks hanging around too.
- Gary (10/5): - I liked everything.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff nice, friendly with broad information about restaurants and places to visit. Unfortunately the room was disappointing. Carpet is stained and ripped in several areas, upholstery in chair completely worn out and looks dirty, mattress and pillow worn-out. For the rate I hope the owner can make some updating
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Jim was extremely helpful. Gave us tips on dining options and directed us towards some historical buildings and points of interest.
- Georgia (8/5): friendly - Manager is great. This is a small family-run motel and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good place to stay the night.
- Mary (8/5): - This is an older hotel but it was very clean and the man working at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. No breakfast is served but you can't beat the price.
- Anna-laura (10/5): Nice motel - The manager of the motel was very nice. Room was clean. We definitely would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cute Motel - You get what you pay for, but this was one of the best old motels we have stayed in so far. The gentleman working was very friendly. We felt like we were transported into Schitts Creek!
- Jeff (10/5): - Charming old-style motor lodge. Clean and family run.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My room smelled like cigarette smoke!! Very disgusting!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - it was so so
- Gary (6/5): Cheap basics - Ok for what it is. Generally clean but carpet and chairs so worn the perception was not clean. No kids channels on the tv and the good movie channels were in Spanish??? Probably not go out of my way for another stay. Excellent restaurant called the Harvester nearby though.
- Terence (8/5): - Good decent hotel and great for the value!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great price ! Excellent customer service!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice & helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - shelves by bath had loose dirt from shoes
furniture treadbare
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good place to stay. - Super nice man at checkin. Room huge, decor dated but very clean. Decent bed
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Maintenance deficient. First room had defective heater. Second room, bed frame partially collapsed during the night. I was not expecting a lot because it was a short overnight and price was good.
- Jason (8/5): Family. - The guy that owns this place is awesome & will do whatever it takes to make you feel safe & like you’re at home.
- Verified traveler (10/5): OK - Manager went out of his way to take guests thru KFC drive they so they could eat!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The motel was a great stop to stop and sleep on a road trip.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very retro room and property. It was a clean and comfortable room with a pleasant staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean. The manager was great. The price was right.
- hmt (8/5): - This is our go-to motel because it is always clean and it's economical.
- L778MDjohnl (8/5): It's just a good honest, clean motel. - I read the other reviews before we made our reservation and upon our arrival we got just what we expected. It's nice and clean and well kept, and for the price we really couldn't have asked for more. We will going up there a few times over the next few months and plan on staying there when we do.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's just a good, honest Motel. It's clean and inexpensive, and we will stay there the next time we're in town for sure. Nice staff, too.
- Linda (8/5): - This little motel was a pleasant place to hang my hat for a few days while I enjoyed Las Vegas NM. Staff super friendly, clean room and very comfortable bed. Not may amenities but I was there to be out and about and not in my hotel room. La Vegas has lot's of great stuff to do!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 3 restaurants very close by was convienient, easy to find location, nice clean bathroom , and it was great to have a microwave and fridge. But chair was nasty and beat up, and floor was dirty feeling , needs a shampoo or something. Man at desk very friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (6/5): Quick sleep - Obviously an older, basic motel. OK for a quick sleep but that is a bn out it. Needs a little maintenance.
- William (8/5): It was ok - It was ok. Carpet looked like it hadn’t been swept.
- Stefan (8/5): Adequate - Front desk man was very friendly and helpful. Room was fine. Proximity to road and thin walls meant putting up with some noise.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - My only 2 issues were nobwashcloths and the mattres is worn out I was sleeping on a slant
- LANE (10/5): Staying again on the way back. - Truly a good fine very clean. Very dated. That did not matter. What a price. Needs some attention to caulking around the sink counter and bathtub. Pillows are Far too thin and should be replaced. Everything else was fine parking was easy and well lit. Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Privately owned and cared for. All was good. Close to everything
- Charles (8/5): - This is an old property. Gentleman at check-in was polite and cheerful. Room was old but obviously kept in good shape & clean. Linens were clean and NO BUGS! Flat screen TV with all the expected cable channels. Window AC worked perfectly. Quiet at night. Hot water and a shower that worked just fine. On the 2nd day of two, the room was made up when we got back around 3 pm. Restaurants and fast-food joints within walking distance. This is NOT the Ritz, but it was comfortable, clean and cheap. If I come this way again, I will stay here. FAIR NOTICE: This was my experience. Every place, even the Ritz, has a bad day now and then and you might arrive on one. Won't be my fault.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Definitely a route 66 original, this room brought back memories from childhood vacations. Older room and well-loved, but clean and comfortable. love the privacy that you don't get in a bigger chain, and owner was a joy.
- Rusty (4/5): - Not a place where there is any
amadeus ..for their are better choices for the price.
- Dee (10/5): sunshine Motel - The room was a pleasant surprise! Clean, comfortable, warm, nicely decorated, pleasant owners, quiet and safe place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): more worth the price - great surprising that the extra heater keep the room quite. stuff very friendly even helped us clean the unexpected snow on our car.
- Chuck (8/5): - Been there before, rooms are spacious and comfy, nice town
- Verified traveler (4/5): uh-uh. - Front desk (owner ?) was eager to help & provide local info. Room dated but adequate. Mini-fridge & microwave are plusses but no coffeemaker. Towels badly stained. Foul odor from bathroom pipes. Way overpriced for what you get. Won't return.
- Chuck (8/5): - Close to everything, food was great, walked down old town Las Vegas and plaza
- Bryster (10/5): - Great spot to rest before going into the mountains, go down to the town square beautiful area, go eat a pizza at JC's, then go to the Rough Rider Museum, also go to see the door of Absaroka County Wyoming Sheriff Office where the Longmire series was filmed, take a picture. Have some fun!
- GustavoC3270 (10/5): Very cheap and excelent helping people - I stayed for 2 days in this very nice motel. It was very clean and nice. The mananger the helped me told me that it ´s from new owners and the service was great. They offer nice bikes and he helped me with all the questions that I maked to him to visit the nice Las Vegas. For sure I´ll came back there.
- katez72 (4/5): My stay - Old, no dead bolt on the door, was clean for being old, cheap, 55 bucks. I probably won't stay here again. Had a microwave oven and fridge. Parking lot wasn't really lit up. It's small
New owner was really nice and helpful.
- Paul011267 (10/5): Cute, clean and cozy! - What a Bargain! This cute little hotel was clean as clean can be and although a bit old the new owner was so accommodating to our needs.
When we were leaving we found the owner scraping the frost our windshield and found out that he was doing it for all the guests....THIS IS AT 7:00 AM!
This is above and beyond.
- CindyW786 (8/5): CUTE PLACE TO STAY - This is a cute place to stay, very clean and inexpensive. Close drive to downtown, The owner is very kind and has the sweetest lil dog, He was very helpful, It's not fancy but like I said it is clean. I would stay here again.
- magnevilfredh (6/5): Clean rooms, low price - On our way from Denver to Alamogordo NM we stopped at this motel for the night. It was a pleasant stay, the room was clean and comfortable. The rates were low, so we were very pleased with our stay. There was little to do in Las Vegas, but we were able to get eat in the nearby resteurants available.
- A6115VRalicet (10/5): gem of a motel - Great value, clean comfortable room with friendly helpful family owners.Good location for exploring charms of New Mexico and delightful town of Las Vegas. This would be one of the best value motels on our six week trip and would love to visit again.
- GlenH716 (10/5): Just what you want. - We are a family of four and were looking for a clean, comfortable room at a very good price. This is it. The place is not very modern, but the staff takes care of it. And we were very impressed at the value! Don't hesitate to stay here.
- superstitionmtnview (10/5): Best of all! - We are completing our nearly 8000 mile trip to visit all the kids and grand kids. We stayed here last night. It was very clean, homey and welcoming. The furniture was quality. Beds were very comfortable. Everything we could want: coffee maker, refrigerator, fridge, tv with plenty of channels, sitting area, clean!!! Thank you!
- willdriveforfood (8/5): Mom and pop, more like grandmother grand daughter motel - Ok , so I hit the office which appears to be the living room for the owners, and interrupt the grand daughter watching TV. Pleasant enough for being torn away from Judge Judy and quickly got the key (old style) , The room isn't bad for under 40 bucks for a single. The motel itself is located close to restaurants on Grand ave. And seems relatively safe.
Checkout was just as fast, tossing the keys on the counter as the grandmother was watching TV..and headed out. I'd stay here again If I needed to, but I stumbled into the Plaza hotel for breakfast….that looks like a nice hotel to stay in if you want to triple the dollars going in.
- 585rm (2/5): great room rude owner - we checked in talked to the owner and explained we were in town for a funeral .The owner told us that the rooms were real nice and we should try and keep them that way . she also told us that hookers worked the corner across the street and if she finds them in any of the rooms she would throw my family . the following morning she tried to charge us for another night although we had already paid for two nights and had the receipt to prove it .also we were denied a rollaway bed because the room we were in was not big enough even when I made the reservation she confirmed it was for a double and a roll away also the WI FI never worked the entire time we stayed . Bottom line the rooms were nice but the owner was rude and harassed our grieving family the entire time would never stay again
- NatChilton (10/5): Perfect for the price - Cheap rate for a clean room with comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room for no extra charge. COLD AC. Easy walking distance to a couple convenience stores, fast food, and a local restaurant. Would definitely stay again.
