Mei (7/5): Industrial feel and a vintage element. Great new use for the former factory/manufacturing space. - The hotel is of industrial design, a nod to its history. The rooms are small/medium in size but just enough space for two. It’s 6-7 mins walk to MTR. The taxi to airport was about $330 HKD. The hotel and surrounds are quiet. Most restaurants close early between 6pm and 9pm. Kowloon Bay MTR, just one stop over has restaurants that open until 10-11pm. The elevator was large with a lot of room for luggage and people.

Andrew (8/5): Very good - Clean and tidy, comfortable bed. Really nice shower. It was a large room by Hong Kong standards. 10 minutes walk to metro station. Few shops , seven 11 and Starbucks, etc, nearby. Unfortunately, the walls are really thin and have no sound deadening. You will hear your neighbours every movement and conversation. The bus stops are outside and a busy road can be heard. But it is a city, so don't let it put you off. Just have some ear plugs. You will need to take your own toiletries or buy a pack from the hotel.

Caroline (9/5): Excellent stay for a solo female traveler at a super clean and practical hotel - The room was super clean, and a great price. I was a female solo traveler. The hotel was safe, the staff were super, and the immediate area was incredibly safe. I would walk back alone from the MTR station at 00.30 or so and never feel uncomfortable. Overall, for a budget hotel, it represented excellent value. You will get tired of the location after a couple of days, but it is incredibly practical - MTRs and buses nearby to take you everywhere you want to go, and there’s a lovely pedestrianized waterfront walk just a five minute walk from the hotel which was stunning. More corporates (eg JP Morgan) are opening up in the area so I think more amenities will come.

Nissa (9/5): Hidden gem, very clean and quirky, highly recommend! - I booked this hotel through booking.com 30mins before checking in as I needed a room at the last minute. I chose it because it was inexpensive and close to where I needed to be the next morning. I had no idea what to expect and was beyond delighted to find a clean, well-appointed, totally adorable, nostalgic retro-industrial themed hotel that I instantly fell in love with. I never leave reviews but in this case I have to. 10/10 recommend. Staff were friendly; my king room was spotless, quiet, and the largest I’ve ever seen in HK at a price point under HKD1,200; the decor in the public areas was playful without being cheesy, and the theme carried through in the room in a more subtle way, with design decisions that also seemed practical; the room layout and finishes were smart; temperature control was easy, and the price was excellent value. There was also a thoughtful binder in the room with ALL the nearby food, mall and delivery options with opening hours, walking distance, etc which was very much appreciated. Overall, IND Hotel was an absolute gem of a find and I’m so glad I happened to get stuck in this part of town with nowhere to stay so I could discover it! My only gripe would be that there was no shampoo in the room, only soap. Amenities were available for purchase at the front desk but a refillable shampoo bottle installed in the showers would be good. There were, however, nice white ‘real’ towels, thank goodness. Some ‘budget’ hotels in HK have started offering ‘disposable towels’ which are horrible to use and disastrous for the environment.

MissHK2009 (6/5): Some Noise from Upper Floor Somehow - This hotel is refurbished from an industrial building (I guess that's why it's called "IND"). The location is not good, not near to metro station and the neighbourhood is industrial. Very quiet in night time. The style and decor of the hotel are interesting, funky, nostalgic. Room is dark and windowless, limited space, cleanliness acceptable. The thing I don't like is that somehow I heard noise from the floor of upper floor, so sound proof here is not good. Anyway this hotel is not my favourite. Won't go back.

The information level afterwards was not satisfactory. I've been to the hotel twice in the last week or so, and the first time it was a much better experience. The personnel is friendly and efficient. Except in the middle of the night.

masaki (2/5): - 通りの多い道路沿いだったため車の音は絶えず聞こえる感じでした。隣の部屋との防音性は高くはありませんでした。またエアコンは効きが悪く布団をかぶっても寒かったです。また、ベッドの上にトコジラミがいたので部屋を変えて欲しいとお願いしましたが空きがないとのことで連泊の次の日から変えてもらいました。当日は怖くて一睡もできませんでした。部屋自体は清潔で水回りも問題ありませんでした。

Lok Yi (8/5): Great except for the traffic noise - I had to spend three consecutive days working in different locations across West Kowloon, East Kowloon, and the East New Territories (Shatin and Tseung Kwan O), and this hotel was the most reasonably priced and decent option with good connections to all the places I needed to travel to. The hotel's industrial theme is a nice touch. I appreciated the clean and practical feel of the room — the absence of carpeting made it feel cleaner. There wasn't any weird, kitschy artwork to cause discomfort. The shelf space for placing personal belongings and toiletries was sufficient, which is very important to me and is rarely found in many hotels. As a workaholic, I found the proper writing desk to be wonderful. The only drawbacks were the loud noise from the MTR trains running past outside from early morning until midnight, and the lack of USB sockets.

I really enjoyed my sta - The room was actually nice, especially for a solo traveler like me. The housekeeping - she’s such a gem! She maintained the cleanliness of the room and changed bedsheets/towels every day. There’s this one lady who works the night shift and can speak English. She has always been friendly and approachable whenever I need some stuff to use. Some staff at the front desk are not friendly and accommodating.
