• Horst (10/5): Es hat alles gepasst. Für uns war es ein idealer Standort für Städtetrips. - Traumhaftes, ruhiges Anwesen, liebevoll gepflegt und dekoriert. Super abwechslungsreiches Frühstück mit selbstgemachter Konfitüre, Säften und Gebäck. Sehr bequemes Bett und gemütliche, geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Sehr nette bemühte Gastgeberin. Da gibt es nichts.
• Vanwynsberghe (9/5): Fantastisch en voor herhaling vatbaar! - Voor wie houdt van fietsen en wandelen in de omgeving van Beernem en op zoek is om te overnachten in een sfeervolle, karaktervolle, nette B&B met een mooie, rustige tuin met zithoekjes gerund door een enthousiaste gastvrouw die een fantastisch, uitgebreid, supervers ontbijt aanbiedt, dan is B&B Het Soetewater de ultieme plaats om te overnachten. Veronique biedt de gasten ook de mogelijkheid aan om een drankje te nuttigen in een gezellige zitruimte en stelde zelfs voor om het bed op te maken en het sanitair een poetsbeurt te geven na onze eerste overnachting. Een klein detailke. Misschien kan Veronique het geluid van de bel wat verhogen, want zij heeft ons niet meteen horen aanbellen waardoor we bij aankomst toch een 10 tal minuutjes moesten wachten. We mochten hoe dan ook vroeger inchecken dan de gebruikelijke incheck-uren wat ons heel goed uitkwam daar wij de dag van aankomst nog een wandeling wilden maken en wat we dan weer als een pluspuntje aanvoelden. 🙂

• Olivia (10/5): A sanctuary in this busy world - Veronique was very welcoming. The local and property was beautiful. A great nights sleep in the family room, such a lovely location. Breakfast was amazing, so tasty with local ingredients and home made juice and jams. Nothing, it was all great!
• Federico (9/5): - E' una struttura perfettamente restaurata e ottimamente mantenuta, posta nella campagna fiamminga a circa 10 km da Bruges. Il nostro appartamento, al 1 piano, era delizioso, arredato con gusto e ben illuminato; il bagno enorme e dotato di box doccia e vasca. Colazione da favola con succhi e marmellate fatte in casa, frutta esotica, formaggi, salmone e croissant. La proprietaria gentilissima. Unico neo della struttura sono le scale di accesso al piano, strette (in profondità) e ripide. Sarebbe utile qualche depliant illustrativo della zona in inglese.

• Martin (9/5): Great place, very nice owner. Just one star down because of stairs to room. - Owner is very nice and friendly. Local food for great breakfast. Room clean and spacious. Location, even not far from highway, it’s calme and peaceful. Possibility to charge your car. The way up the stairs. There was our grandpa with us and he was not sure and struggling a bit. Stairs are too steep and railing a bit weak. I would recommend rather put another one on the wall. And we were missing fire in fireplace :-(.
• Thuis (9/5): Aanbevelenswaardig! - Erg sfeervolle locatie, mooi ingericht en erg goede bedden. Heerlijk ontbijt en een vriendelijke, behulpzame gastvrouw. Jammer dat het zo dichtbij de snelweg ligt. Als je buitenkomt, is het helaas niet stil.

Het zwembad ligt in de achtertuin van de woning van de eigenaren - je voelt je een beetje bezwaard als de familie er zit om erin te gaan ondanks dat we vaker hebben gehoord dat het wel mag.
• Dr. Ulrike (10/5): Der Aufenthalt war sehr erholsam. - Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Veronique, die Wirtin, bot zahlreiche selbst hergestellte Spezialitäten an. Die Qualität war erstklassig. Im Zimmer gab es einige Spinnenweben, die die wohnliche Atmosphäre leicht beeinträchtigten.
• Christiane (10/5): Wunderschönes Anwesen, gemütliche Zimmer und tolles Frühstück - Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und ruhig gelegen und mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert worden. Unser Zimmer mit Balkon war sehr sauber, geräumig und hatte ein tolles, großes Bad und sehr gemütliche Betten. Wir haben uns von Anfang an bei Veronique sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Garten ist ein Traum. Das Frühstück wird von der Gastgeberin jeden Morgen abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker vorbereitet. Parkplatz vor der Türe. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Brügge, Gent oder Knokke-Heist etc… Fahrräder kann man vor Ort ausleihen. Treppe hoch zum Zimmer ist nichts für ältere Menschen.

• Stephen (10/5): Fantastic quiet oasis - We had a wonderful stay here for two nights. The host was more than accommodating and really helpful. Rooms: we stayed in Chocolat which is quite private and on the side. Own private entrance. It has dual aspect windows looking out over the fields. Huge bathroom with jet tub and large shower. Nice amenties and well thought out. Coffee machine and kettle which is so helpful. Honesty mini bar in small fridge. TV has both Netflix and Prime on it so easy to get your own entertainment. WiFi is strong and reliable. Bed is huge, really comfortable and we slept so well as its silent here. Breakfast: a basket of bread and croissants awaits you as you sit with different gorgeous jams and butter. Your hot drink of choice is made, lovely apple and pear juice is served to the table and water on the side table. A different selection each day of cakes and local pastries is offered. Eggs made to order and extra hot drinks on request. The breakfast room is very nicely decorated and the owner is very attentive. Location: is about 5 mins away from the main highway, 20 mins from Bruges and 30 mins from Ghent. It's in the middle of nowhere amongst farmyards. Very peaceful and quiet. Parking for about 8 vehicles. Only small things to consider, a spoon for hot drinks in the room (or wooden stirrers if you don't want to wash up) a price list for the minibar so you know what you are buying, we weren't sure if the water was included or not? Overall we had a lovely time, thank you.

The service wasn’t really good, it felt like we annoyed the owner since we arrived instead of being welcomed in the house. For this kind of stays it’s important for us to have someone kind … we couldn’t even say goodbye because she was gone not to meet us out.

• Sven (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great 5 nights stay in the lovely family owned B&B. We where warmly welcomed by Veronique and felt like home instantly. We liked the quiet and beautiful decorated house and garden with country and modern elements. The rooms are beautiful, clean an very detailed with unique furniture and a cute little terrace. It's the perfect place for calming down an relaxation. The breakfast was awesome! Veronique offers a range of fresh bread, croissants, fresh selfmade juice, fruits, home made marmelade, the best granola, cakes and everything you wish for. She also prepared vegan options for us. We are absolutely happy with our choice and can recommend this wonderful place when you want to visit Brugge, Gent and the Belgian Coast. All destinations can be reached by highway within 30 minutes. Thank you for everything, we will definitely come back!
• Mary (9/5): Nice property to stay for a short visit in the north of Belgium - The room was clean and cozy. The bathroom was very large and had amazing heating. The breakfast was perfect. Fresh bread, ham, cheese, different variety every day, croissants, fresh apple juice and nice coffee. We were leaving the breakfast room very full every morning. The area is very quiet and dark in the night but you are in the nature which is really nice if you come from a big city. If it was worse weather, the fireplace in the breakfast room would have been nice to have an relax there, but weather was quite warm when we visited. Parking was available and good wifi. The host was very kind. We could not adjust ourselves the heating in the room, but it was quite warm when we visited, so not really an issue. The toilet could not flash properly the first morning but after that it was fixed. It had some mosquitos when you were opening the balcony door so again not an issue (we didn't really sit outside) but maybe during summer it is.

Clean room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was served at the table in a nice manner. The host was very helpful and hospitable. The breakfast could be more extensive and with some items as buffet.

• j (10/5): Unique farmhouse style B&B - Exceptional place that offers a unique quality and service. The room I stayed accommodates 4 people offering a double bed in a separate room, and 2 single beds. There is also a secluded balcony for late evening drinks or early morning coffee in a private setting. All the furnishings were of high quality in and outside of the room, and I can say the owner has great taste. General service and communications were great and the owner always tried to accommodate the needs at best to make sure your stay was like at home.
• Werner (10/5): Wunderschönes B&B in toller Lage - Wir durften in Het Soetewater eine grossartige Woche verbringen. Unser Zimmer war im oberen Stock, sehr geräumig und sauber mit grossem Balkon. Die ruhige Atmosphäre und die freundliche Gastgeberin Veronique haben dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns sofort wohlgefühl haben. Besonders das Frühstück war jeden Morgen ein Highlight. Vom B&B aus ist man mit dem Auto in kurzer Zeit in Brügge, Gent oder am Strand. Auch eine Fahrradtour können wir empfehlen, die Fahrräder kann man bei Veronique mieten. Wir können einen Aufenthalt im Het Soetewater wärmstens empfehlen!
