The vibe is so relaxed and "cool" the kind of place where you can really just settle in and enjoy yourself. Every bite of the food was incredible, you can tell they actually care about the quality they’re putting out.
Honestly, it was Elizabeth who made my visit so cool. She was so attentive and genuinely kind, making sure i had everything i needed without ever being overbearing.
It’s those personal touches that turn a good meal into a great memory. I’m already telling all my friends they have to check this place out. I’ll definitely be back often.

- E2953EMtomw (8/5): Comfortable lodging, and surprisingly, very good food at the restaurant. - The hotel is comfortable and adequate as a jumping off point for Safari or a Kilimanjaro trip.
The best part is the restaurant, and Emmanuel is a fantastic server!

Staff was extremely friendly and atmosphere was very nice. Overall good food and good sleep (rooms had AC which was very nice). Also everything was very clean and not too expensive at all. Live music bar was an excellent way to end the evenings!
- thomassF3999LL (8/5): Staying at Keys Hotel Moshi - We had a great time at the Keys Hotel in Moshi. We stayed for several days before and after climbing Kilimanjaro before and after safari. The rooms are clean and have everything you need.
The staff is friendly and professional. The waiters (Charles and Foya) made our stay extra good with friendly greetings and great interest in our wellbeing.
- S7190RYramonr (10/5): Great dinner - Had dinner with my best friend at the restaurant. Elizabeth was our server for the night and her service was amazing. The food was good. I had the Chicken pizza and it was delicious.
- Wander07198219586 (10/5): 10/10 - Keys Hotel is my favorite hotel in moshi, they have the best kukuchoma and the best staff. Love them sooooooo much. I highly recommend.
- Navigator21576756000 (8/5): Good service in moshi - Good ambiance, delicious food, clean room & Good clean pool, good smiling service by Elizabeth . Great job, helping & caring staff to service customers with excellence
- Camper21002744622 (10/5): Good job - Elizabeth is doing a very good job and is perfect. In his job, lovely work.……. Keys Hotel is fantastic service. And best connection.
- E2064BYmarkw (10/5): Friendly staff, great location for Kilimanjaro activities - All the front desk staff, security staff and other employees were very nice and professional. They also had good recommendations for things to do in the area. The hotel was 10 minutes walking distance from the center of Moshi and the staff advised us on the safe way to hire a bajaji (3-wheeled) transport. The hotel restaurant was great, the servers were fun and enjoyed helping us with Swahili words. We had an emergency situation with another accommodation. They helped us to resolve the problem by talking with the other hotel owner in Swahili. When it became clear we had nowhere to stay, they found a room for us.
- jenifal2025 (8/5): Very lovely 🥰 - om the moment we arrived at Keys Hotel along Uru Road in Moshi, we felt warmly welcomed by the attentive, friendly staff — especially Foya whose cheerful professionalism made our arrival smooth and enjoyable. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance to the Moshi town centre, and on clear days, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the snowcapped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro right from the grounds
- 1015celeste (2/5): Unprofessional and Defensive Handling of a Lost Items - I stayed at Keys Hotel in Moshi and, unfortunately, left behind some personal items. When I contacted the hotel shortly after my stay to follow up, I expected a basic level of professionalism and effort in helping me locate them. Instead, I received a defensive and dismissive response.
Rather than showing concern or offering to double-check, I was told the hotel “does not have a habit of stealing” and was asked to question my travel companions. This kind of response is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. A guest seeking help with lost items should not be met with thinly veiled accusations or be made to feel as though they are being unreasonable for asking.
The lack of accountability and basic customer service in this situation was deeply disappointing and reflects poorly on the hotel’s management. I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who expect integrity, courtesy, and responsible service.
- kiimbotourskenya (10/5): Best hotel in moshi - This hotel is the best in moshi I will give it 10/10 from food to accomodation the staff everything was perfect I will be back again and reffer most of my friends and family best of the best family friendly solo trip I also recommend this hotel..
- I8476BKdinom (10/5): Croatia to Kili - A Keys hotel is the oasis of the Moshi town. There is warm atmosphere, fresh swiming pool, nice souvenir shop and very delicious food.
For me, the best of the staff was Hans who is ready to help you whatever you ask. He is smart hoast and he speeks fluent English.
However, hotel is clean and secure.
- Z9639MYjuliob (10/5): A place to stay if you climb Kili or do Safaris. - Nice hotel near the city center. Breakfast was nice and there is a pool with a nice garden behind the hotel. The waiter Hans was a legend and he gave his best to make us feel good. There is a lot of nice food to order at reasonable price and the pizzas were delicious.
- 292gabum (10/5): I love you Keys Hotel. You ushered my 2025 nicely❤️ - Am from Kenya and Damn, this is one of the best hotels that i have ever visited in Tanzania. We enjoyed the food, swimming pool, Serene environment, fire works, live band, my bed, acrobat, entertainment and how can i forget the Buffett 🥱❤️ Jesus❤️🇰🇪
- AbidAlam1 (10/5): Moshi Hotels - A good warm friendly place offering everything you require in a small family run hotel. Staff are friendly, and very flexible to meeting your needs food is good, rooms are clean, and well fitted out. A must try in Moshi. Secure and in a good vicinity.
- beanriding (10/5): Meru & Kilimanjaro via Umbwe - thanks Bosco and team for - My son (15) and I did a mt meru and Kilimanjaro via the Umbwe route with Jagged Globe and their local partner Keys Hotel. The planning, organising and execution was faultless. The instructions pre trip were helpful and concise and the service on the ground, from the hotel accommodation to the guides (Bosco and Moses) and porter team was first class. A further special mention must be given to Bosco and Moses from Keys, they were the two best guides I’ve ever had. Their care, skills and fitness levels were remarkable. The whole porter team was brilliant. Miranda from Keyes hotel also made our stay at the hotel outstanding. My thanks to the Jagged Globe team and their partners.
- FrankK355 (10/5): Excellent Hotel in Moshi - This is a great place to stay in Moshi. Super friendly staff and the Hotell is super clean. Bar and restaurant area is excellent to relax after activities nearby. Stayed there before and after the climb to Kilimanjaro. Highly recommended. The breakfast could have been better and have more options, but all in all this was a great place.
- Sightseer30983267096 (10/5): Kilimanjaro Tour - Our Visit was amazing and our Barkeeper Hans made every evening a special event! The rooms were clean and we had everything we needed. All of the personal was very nice and helped us with everything. Breakfast was also nice and plenty full. Thanks to the whole Team!
- ylisfirst (10/5): Keys hotel - Very friendly hotel, specialised on tourists climbing kilimandjaro. Hotel restaraunt is one of the best places to eat, that you can find in the city. Wi-Fi os good. Administration can link you with guides if you dont have one. Barmen Hans can make your stay very delightful)
- P8402VSbarbarab (10/5): Incredible experience! - We had an amazing trip. Keys staff; Miriam, Trizer, Swai & Tito were with us every step of the way. We spent 3 days in Zanzibar & 3 on Safari. It was so wonderful to come home to Keys.
I would love to go back and would definitely want to stay at Keys again!
- 149evgeniyaa (10/5): Nice hotel with a pool - Nice hotel, I stayed here three times during my travel. There are rooms and small houses. For me rooms were better. Very pleasant staff. You can keep your luggage while traveling. Good restaurant, tasty food, very very very cute barmans. Especially Hans, we had nice conversation with him, he advised me good local wine. But all of the waitress and barmens were so good with good English and very polite maners. Like this place and highly recommend it
- 441zakk (10/5): Best hotel in moshi - The hotel was quite literally the best hotel i stayed at while out in Africa, the staff were so friendly, the rooms were so clean and fresh the beds were clean and comfy. The food was amazing couldn’t complain one bit. i would come back any day! Check out was perfect and the breakfast time meals was also perfect. they had free WiFi which worked perfect just not in some rooms. But they had so many leaflets with things to do on display and the dining area was something like fine dining it was astonishingly good.
- Matt (6/5): - The property is at a high level of accommodation for the area, however, broken fixtures and leaking toilets across the bathroom floor were issues we faced. The room did not match the online pictures. This was pointed out and the room changed. Staff were friendly and attentive for the most part. Food was good.
- ricardou286 (8/5): Nice hotel! 👍🏻👍🏻 - Amazing staff. Everyone from the front desk, to the waiters, cleaning crew, chef, subvenir ship attendant… great attitud always!

- R7017ULlouisew (2/5): Dont - This is the worst hotel ever. There is No hot wather. The manager said 3 times he would fix it but he did not! I will nerver Come here again This is not worth spending your money on. Now me and my family has to go to the kilimanjaro Mountain and we havent got a shower for 2,5 days
- 779hemanthr (10/5): Keys Hotel for Kilimanjaro hike - We were on a trip to hike Kilimanjaro. Our stay at Keys hotel was perfect. The rooms were excellent, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The front office staff, service staff and dining room staff were very courteous and accommodated any request we had. They were extremely helpful in providing us any information we needed.

- Russell (8/5): Great stay & very helpful hosts - Friendly & courteous
- Susanne (10/5): Perfect place in Moshi. - My experience at Keys Hotel was most enjoyable. The hotel has everything it needs for a great stay: comfortable bungalows, a very nice pool and a restaurant on a nice veranda, which offers a large selection of excellent dishes from different cuisines (local, Indian, Chinese, and even a dedicated pizza baker). The location is also very convenient as you can easily walk into town from the hotel. The cherry on the cake is the lovely personnel that truly makes you feel like you are at home and gave my stay a very familiar touch - from the porter over the team at reception to the waiters and waitresses (Marietha and Charles, to name only two). Everybody there is really caring and so open and warm-hearted. I can most warmly recommend Keys Hotel to everybody.
- Ronald (9/5): Superb -
- Aceijas (6/5): Nice place - It is a nice place. Room was clean and staff were friendly and willing to help. Our room faced main street and was a bit noisy but we were tired enough so... hey... we slept!.
The general state of hotel is a bit tired. Could do with some renovation and a coat of paint. Somehow pics are a bit better than reality.
- Annelieke (8/5): - Very nice place to stay while exploring the Kilimanjaro area. Staff is super friendly and the pool is wonderful! Cottages are basic, but clean and food is good! Really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone who want to be close to Kilimanjaro!
- Rick (4/5): Tired and unfriendly. - The pictures of hotels.com are deceiving. This is a tired, rough around the edges hotel. The manager was very nice but his restaurant staff need a lesson in customer service. Raw chicken for dinner. Sent back but the bill came anyway. The manager eventually partially refunded it.
The cabana room bathroom was moldy and the entry door lock broken. There are better hotels in Moshe for the same price or less.
- Justin (10/5): Have a nice stay! - Staff was always helpful and would go out of their way to help. The room was just as advertised and the ground were well kept. The pool was nice and the food was delicious.
- Courtney (10/5): - Very nice hotel. Great hot water. Very clean. Friendly staff. Would recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): ok - men ikke mere - Ok - men kun til en enkelt overnatning
- Ole Overmark (8/5): Dejlig hotel til meget rimelige penge - Dejlig hotel der fuldt ud levede op til vores forventninger.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - good hotel
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Rooms were just okay. Food was average. Couldnt find our expedia reservation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Location in attractive part of Moshi and close to town center.
- Tracy (8/5): Great place to stay! - The waiters were so kind and helpful, always with a smile. We came back a day early from our Kilimanjaro trek and they were able to accommodate us without hesitation. Great place to stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Facility very nice. Staff friendly and always helpful. Only thing was took an hour or more to get food once it was ordered.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The stafg was so helpful and friendly. We arrived after 4days of canceled flights and delays. They allowed us to sleep in and made breakfast for us at Noon...they went above and beyond and Charles our waiter was so thoughtful..what a wonderful introduction to Tanzania's
- Gleicon (10/5): Muito bom!!
- Debbie (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Keys Hotel in Moshi. Staff were amazing-friendly, attentive and went the extra mile to please. Good restaurant and bar. Spacious comfortable rooms- have your torch handy as we had several short power cuts. Easy walk to main town and markets. Gift shop on site with local curios that are cheaper than those in town! Recommended.
- Jerry (10/5): - The Keys is a modest, clean hotel with a staff who are excellent. Everyone is helpful. This is the fourth time that I have stayed at the Keys while working on an education project with the local Rotary Club.
