Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great boutique hotel in the Sacred Valley ------------------
- Brian (10/5): - A Garden of Eden in a little town, Lamay known for “Cuy”, in the heart of the Sacred Valley. Wonderful
- Yoko (10/5): - Michelle and Javier have created a true oasis along the Machu Picchu trail. The setting is incredible. Surrounded by jaw dropping mountains and canyon walls and situated next to the Urubamba river, it has to be one of the more picturesque settings anywhere in the world.
Each bungalow/villa is meticulously decorated with many of the furnishings made by Michelle. The attention to detail is amazing. Everything is well thought out and delivered with great style.
Most people visiting Machu Picchu will opt to stay in Urubamba or Olantaytambo or just make the trip from Cuzco. They’re missing out. Those towns are well established and cater directly to tourists, with all the downside that go along with that.
Lamay is very much a sleepy little town noted mostly for it’s barbecued guinea pig (Cuy). It’s a great place to disconnect for a couple days and be spoiled by Michelle and Javier and their beautiful family and staff. They do a delicious breakfast and dinner (trout and beef tenderloin the 2 nights we were there!) in their cozy restaurant/great room with many of the items coming from their organic garden. The courtyard is filled with hammocks, swings, a trampoline, and monkey bars.
On a clear night you can look up and see a million stars which is how many I’d like to give the Nunu!
- Ashleigh (10/5): Peaceful Garden oasis, beautifully decorated - I loved my stay at the nunu Boutique hotel in Lamay valley. Javier and Michelle were excellent hosts. The setting of nunu Boutique hotel is beautiful - a garden oasis with stunning 360 degree views of mountains. The decor in the rooms is most innovative and tasteful - each room has its own theme. Delicious linen, towels, gowns. A lot of attention to detail which makes one's stay very comfortable. The food was healthy and tasty. I highly recommend the nunu Boutique hotel!
