Within a short walking distance of the Cattlemen's II restaurant. Took 10 minutes for the front desk to find my online reservation. A pretty good cheap hotel right off of hwy 54.
michael (10/5): - Looking for a quick overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was excellent. The motel in general needs some TLC which is in progress. The staff was friendly even with a late night check in. Definitely would stay again. Great value.

TV would not work properly, and we couldnt take showers as the water pressure was slim to none with the faucets/shower head damaged. Absolutely not worth the $228 we paid for 3 nites reserved and front desk would not refund any of our money .

Now I am trying to get a refund on the night we cancelled from Expedia. I truly don’t know how this property passes any sort of inspection. And it is not easy to get in touch with Expedia to get a refund. No number to call?? I have used Expedia for years but now I second guessing - I am disappointed.

Soiled or stained mattress cover & bed skirt. Arms on the chair stained with greasy dirty hands. Door did not seal. Chester drawers front broken off.

Office was closed and I had to go to neighboring hotel to get someone to check in. I wasn’t sure if we were comfortable staying but woman who came to help was friendly and room was clean with newer a/c unit, working tv and fridge. Bed was very comfortable. Couldn’t tell if they were getting to shut down the hotel or if was going to be renovated.

The room front door was swollen and wouldn't close and lock properly. I had to use the door security guard to keep the door closed and secure. Stephanie (6/5): OK hotel - Stayed 1 night on a road trip. Front desk person was very nice. Room could have been cleaner. There was trash and a safety pin on the floor in the bathroom. Fortunately I found the safety pin before my dogs did. Could have been problematic with a small child as well. Carpet was questionable and we kept our socks on, beds were clean. Ice machine was not working, but we were able to go to the hotel next door and use theirs. Asked for shampoo and was given 1 bottle with another hotel's brand on it. Thought it was really odd, but learned the next day at a different Motel 6 that they aren't required to have toiletries anymore, so I guess we were lucky they had the one. There is a cafe/restaurant next door, and an abandoned motel next to that. Back of the hotel was all sand, no grass. Lots of semis parked on the back side and not visible from main road, very secluded. I would not have felt comfortable as a solo female traveler on the backside of the hotel; I was slightly uncomfortable walking the dogs back there alone, especially in the morning when I realized no one else was on the backside with us. Location was convenient to food and highways. I'd stay again for a quick overnight.

The beds were double size so small for two people. There were outlets by the bed, which was nice to charge phones. There was room for our gear and was still able to get around.

Kenneth (8/5): Nice and quiet - Well the staff was very friendly. The room was clean. The only issue was the water wasn't hot enough. I had to have it on full hot just to be warm!
S272KRlisad (6/5): Not much to look and no grass for pets. - It is a typical Motel 6. The room was decent. It came equipped with a mini fridge. The grounds are all paved and dirt. Had to walk next door to find some grass to walk the dogs. There is a large dirt lot behind the motel which is where large trucks park. The motel was relatively quiet, but there weren't that many guests. I felt safe enough as a solo female traveler. The staff wasn't rude but they weren't overly friendly. All rooms are accessed from the outside and there are only steps for the upper level. It was convenient for traveling through Liberal, KS, but there are several other budget motels that may be nicer. At least Motel 6 is still pet friendly without an extra charge. You know what you are getting.
taoseno2018 (8/5): Kansas Surprise! - We've been driving to NM from DC and back for 3 years now in our Subaru Forester. It has been a grueling trip each time, but ones filled with adventure, tragedy, accidents and good people! Monica Queen is one of those people and is the SHINING STAR of the newly opened MOTEL 6 in Liberal, KS. We've know Monica now for 2 years and she is always eager to see us and check us in! (btw, she makes great cookies!!) The Motel 6 is the 'newer' part of the old Quality Inn, still in place. Local management has made quite a few improvements but the hotel needs much more. It is a bargain at under $60 a night for a smoking room. Bathroom doors need painting still and there are some minor dings around. Monica is the evening desk agent and takes great care to make sure we're all tucked in for the night getting ready for our final leg the next morning from Liberal to Taos,NM via Guymon,OK and Clayton,NM up to Taos our destination for a month each year! Hopefully we'll make it west again this Summer. If we do, we'll be sure to stay with Monica!
harryajones (4/5): Seen better days - When you stay in a Motel 6, you are not expecting the amenities found at pricier places, but this facility was pretty run down. The young lady at the front desk was helpful, but she was the only employee I saw while I was there. Room was well used and not particularly clean. Lots of fast food places nearby if that is your thing. Probably would not choose again.
leadergirl (2/5): Choose a Different Hotel!! - I should have taken a picture, because then you for sure would heed my advice. It was AWFUL. This will be our final stay at a Motel 6. I do not care if pets are free. One positive- the staff was very friendly.
allisonlH9045AY (10/5): No pet fees yippee - Our room was very clean exactly what one would expect from a Motel 6. You can tell they just remodeled the showers are very nice. The best feature about the room that has locking doors unlike the Super 8. The lady at the counter was quite polite.
pretzelw (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised! - Had friends who stay regularly at Motel 6 so we decided to give it a try. The room was clean and roomy. The check in went smoothly and the receptionist was pleasant. Located on motel row in Liberal a traveler has many to choose from. We were glad we chose Motel 6 and would stay there again the next time thru. The cost was reasonable.
WilliamsPlace (10/5): One of the best Motel 6 experiences I've had. - Really helpful staff checked me in late and was able to meet my request for a quiet room. Room was large and clean and nicely furnished. Large property with very few other customers...felt good to have some quiet and extra space. Staff was also especially helpful in the morning when I had some special requests. Also glad to have a good strong heater working on a very cold night.
16dianej (10/5): Great for the orice - We were looking for a reasonable, clean place to stay. We don’t need fancy. The person who checked us in was efficient and answered all my questions. We have good television and great WiFi. I would stay here again. Don’t come here if you need a 4 star hotel, but if you just want a nice place to sleep, this is it. Another plus is that it’s next door to a great cafe!
Taoseno (8/5): Land of Oz - We stayed at the "Motel 6" Liberal,KS going to and from a months stay in New Mexico. This is part if the adjacent Quality Inn that was sold to M6. On arrival on the way out CHOICE HOTELS had screwed up our reservation as we asked for SMOKING. The QI has been refurbished and has NO smoking rooms now. We went next door and Monica Queen the famous hotelier of Liberal straightened out the mess and got us a room at M6. Monica had worked in the QI for years. Both hotels are owned by the same person. Her customer skills are amazing. Thanks Monica! We'll be back!
alex197630 (10/5): Nice esp. for motel 6 - This property use to be a quality inn and still has some of the amenities that other motel 6s doesn't have. In room coffee machines, iron, hair dryer and very comfortable beds. The only real issue is noise and we faced away from hwy 54. There is no fan on the a/c/furnace unit or in the bathroom to help drown out the noise.
