Breakfast is basic for the price per night. Service is not great, getting your room cleaned is a major challenge, very little attention to making your stay memorable.

Wir hatten ein großes komfortables Zimmer , im neuen Teil der Anlage . Das Personal war sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit . Wir sind zum ersten Mal in Goa gewesen und waren begeistert. Es gibt nichts negatives zu sagen .

• Beck (9/5): Sehr schönes Resort. - Wunderschönes Resort, inmitten eines blühenden tropischen Gartens, direkt am Strand gelegen. Sehr freundliches Personal, v.a. im Restaurant Bereich. Tolles Frühstücks-Buffet. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es ist etwas teuer für 4 Sterne. Die Strandbars mit sehr lauter Musik links und rechts des Hotels am Strand, aber dafür kann das Chalston nichts. In den Zimmern ist davon zum Glück nichts zu hören.

• Angel (3/5): - The staff were very friendly, the facilities were fairly clean. The breakfast was ok. The baga area and the surrounding beaches are of the most horrible places I have ever visited. Speaking to locals they later told us that Baga has become an extremely bad area to visit over the past 5-10 years. Everything is dirty and run down, the beach is disgusting - trash everywhere. If you want to stay in the north, our friends reccomended Morjim only Otherwise, all the nice beaches are south of Dabolim airport.

• Diya (7/5): - Lovely location and staff. Weekend live band was great. Love the fact that in-room menu was the same as dining menu. Beautiful well-kept property and beach. Our rooms were in the older wing. They were a bit rundown. The family rooms did not have AC near the extra bed and the wall fans were very dirty. Mini fridge in some rooms had rust which was a big turn-off. The privacy in balconies is bad. You should have concrete walls put in between.
• Isa (10/5): Beautiful resort and location - The Charlton was the perfect spot for us to decompress after working for 1 month in Hyderabad. The accomodation was superb and the restaurant looks right out at the sea. The food was beautiful and the facilities were great. The resort is beautifully kept and the staff are incredibly attentive and helpful. The swimming pools were also lovely. Recommend having a drink and watching the sunset each night in the chairs out front of the restaurant. The breakfast was almost the same every morning - but you could order things off the menu also, so we managed to make it more varied.

Das Ressort ist etwas zurückgezogen, sodass man von den neon beleuchteten und musik beschallten Beachbars gut geschützt ist. Wir hatten Frühstück gebucht und waren mit der Auswahl sehr zufrieden. Generell war es im Restaurant sehr gemütlich mit Blick auf das Meer. 4 Sterne absolut gerechtfertigt.

• Robert (5/5): Not my cup of tea. - The location was the only good thing about this place. It’s supposed to be no smoking. But they let people smoke on your little patio. The people next to me smoked like chimneys. So I could hardly use mine and could often smell it in my room. They have weird sheets that feel like plastic. The air conditioner blows right on the bed, so either you are sweating in the plastic sheets or freezing. The staff is not very friendly and decidedly unhelpful. Their list of rules makes you feel like you are in prison not at a resort.

This hotel sits right between the lively Baga Beach and the long sandy stretch of Calangute, giving you instant access to sun, surf, and seaside strolls whenever you like — a major highlight for beach lovers. From the moment you arrive, the resort feels like a classic Goan getaway. It’s wonderfully green with well-kept gardens, and its beachfront position means you’re never more than a few breaths of sea breeze from Calangute Beach. Perfect for both sunrise walks and evening sunsets with a cocktail in hand. Rooms here are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and good air-conditioning — much needed in Goa’s tropical heat. The property also boasts two pool areas with a few places to relax. Although some rooms are a little dated compared to ultra-luxury properties, they nonetheless feel clean and welcoming. The beachfront restaurant is a definite charm — dining with your feet almost in the sand and views of the Arabian Sea make meals feel extra special. The menu offers a mix of Indian and international dishes and its opening hours mean you can always get a snack or meal throughout the day Some facilities could be modernised compared to newer resorts. The two pool areas felt like they were almost an afterthought . The original pool area was to one side off the older rooms and felt as though could only be used by those guests. The other much newer pool was restricted for use of only the new section of rooms , so I felt I couldn't use it. The resort needs a much bigger general use pool more centrally located .

Well the food was good but the meats were cooked soft, the mutton we ordered was a bit tough and the prices were quite high on the menu especially for people staying at the resort. • Dinesh Pattanayak (10/5): Delightful stay with impeccable facilities and an exceptional view of the beach - This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was more that what I had expected. First, the location is great with direct access to the beach situated between Baga and Calangute. You can go on a long walk in the morning on the beach which seems to go on for ever with countless shacks adorning it providing a delightful visual in the evenings. Their restaurant overlooks the beach with seating arrangements to enjoy the sunset or watch your loved ones enjoy a dip in the sea. Great for sundowners as well. Food is good. It has 2 clean swimming pools. Rooms are huge with a large king bed and clean bathroom. Property feels high end in all aspects with special attention given to cleanliness all around. The owner, Mr Chalston Dsouza is always on the rounds ensuring everything is in immaculate condition. Staff is helpful and courteous.

• Bharti (5/5): - It was repitative. We stayed for 3 days, and for 2 days they have exactly same menu. Same sandwich for all days same parathas. Taste was okay. It was a big disappointment for us. Include variety in breakfast. No moisturizer was provided in room. No iron was there. We need to ask again and again for iron. Price range is at higher range than you should provide basic things at least.

There is a pool table, they are not allowed to play with kids even though my kid was able to play the pool but they said management is not allowing. Nobody was playing on any pool table. They are just for show pieces. There is no welcome drink to the guest, although in small hotel and resort they provide welcome drinks to the guest in Goa. There is no event in resort for the guest.to enjoy. I booked the room 1 month early even though they give family room which is very smelly and without any view. After requesting they change it in the last corner of the resort.

The rooms were very beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean. The entire hotel property is quite large and very well maintained, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. One of the biggest advantages is that the beach is directly connected to the hotel, making it very convenient and enjoyable, especially for families. The hotel restaurant has a stunning beach view, and the food was simply excellent. Every dish we tried from the menu was delicious and authentic. Breakfast was included in our room rent, and it was outstanding with a wide variety of options. There were special breakfast choices available for kids as well, which was a big plus for us. Room service was prompt and efficient, and the entire hotel and restaurant staff were very well trained, polite, and extremely friendly. They made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. Overall, Chalston Beach Resort is a perfect place for a peaceful family vacation. Highly recommended for couples and families looking for comfort, great food, beach access, and warm hospitality. We would definitely love to visit again! There was nothing to dislike. The property met all our expectations perfectly.

• Mohamed (10/5): Erholung pur - Alles war super. Sehr ruhiges uns sauberes Hotel direkt am Strand. Der Service ist hervorragend und man fühlt sich hier Willkommen. Die direkte Strand Lage ist echt super man muss keine langen Fahrten auf sich nehmen. Das Restaurant und das Essen ist sehr sehr gut und zu erschwinglichen Preisen. Die Keller sind sehr sehr aufmerksam. Es war alles hervorragend!

• Craig (8/5): Well located and presentable property. - My room was in the new wing. It was spacious and well appointed. Despite being opposite the pool, it was relatively private and quiet. The restaurant staff were very obliging and watching the sunset from the lawn overlooking the beach was lovely. The hotel has access to local drivers and the driver I hired through them to do a half day tour of Old Goa was excellent. I got food poisoning from one of my meals at the restaurant.

Breakfast was the same and repeated so different options everyday would be nicer esp for vegetarians, family rooms are quite far from beach n restaurant so not quite wheelchair friendly.
