Guest Reviews
- Anne (9/5): Great two day stay in the Camino in a beautiful town and excellent hosts! - Great location. Excellent communication and assistance from our hosts. Loved the tea and water offered and the communal space Would have loved a breakfast option on site or use of the refrigerator so we could arrange our own simple breakfast/lunch.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Emily (8/5): - Good location. Check in done electronically with instructions. Was very easy to follow instructions and access my room. Close to restaurants.
- Elizabeth (8/5): A great place but you need earplugs to sleep! - Right in the center of town. The room and bathroom were beautifully kept. Very helpful host upon arrival. No sleep because every hour the church next door had bells going off all throughout the night!
- Kim (7/5): See above - Very clean and comfortable No laundry facilities, no kitchen access, NO coffee in the morning (unless you “made arrangements” for a 10euro breakfast). Even a stand alone coffee vending machine would have been appreciated..
- Helen (8/5): Good value for money - Good, clean hostel, perfect after a long wet day. Great that teas and fruit were available Hairdryer would have been helpful
- Marly (9/5): -
- Vibeke Bech (8/5): -
No sabíamos a qué hora.
- Jasyn (9/5): Great spot. Clean. Great location. - Nice hotel
- Ilya (10/5): -
- Dee (9/5): - Lovely welcome with a roaring fire for two very cold pilgrims. Complementary tea & fruit and communal room to relax.
Room was clean and we liked the balcony with flowers.
- James (10/5): A clean and relaxing space that feels like home. - First of all, the location is near the popular attractions of the town of Molinaseca. It is very near the old pilgrims bridge into town. It is near some of the premiere and casual restaurants in the town. I stayed in a room with its own balcony.
There is a very comfortable common area to relax with tables if one wants to work. There is a fireplace for cold days and nights. The host offers to prepare guests breakfast in the morning as an option. The facility is clean and well maintained. The best part of the stay for me is that I felt at home.
The Hotel operates a taxi service separately which guests may take advantage of for extending trips to nearby towns. Also if you are on the Camino and need a pick up to the hotel, the hotel staff can arrange that for you. The owners are very kind and make themselves available for any questions guests may have. I’ll stay here again the next time I visit Molinaseca.

- Michael (10/5): Great price, location and staff - Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had everything I needed.

- Maria Agnes (9/5): Cozy accommodations with a very friendly host - We arrived at Hostal El Horno after a very difficult descent into the area during a rainstorm. We were delighted to find this warm and welcoming hostel in a restored building in the old town. The host gave us dinner recommendations nearby (excellent) and cooked a filling breakfast in another accommodation that he manages. The generous breakfast prepared us very well for the long walk ahead. The room also had a lot of amenities, but this made it a little bit cramped. The room had a lot of amenities (even a little table and chairs) and was a little cramped.
- Ture (10/5): - El Horno was closed for the season but owner moved us to San Nicholas. Staff was amazing and cooked us a great breakfast.

- Casie (10/5): - Mara and José are the best hosts - if you have the opportunity to join for the Brazilian feijoada,DO IT! It was the BEST meal, and one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had on the Camino! Cannot say enough positive things about our stay! The accommodation was also clean and comfortable. Would absolutely stay again!
- Ana Margarida (10/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Einfach Perfekt ♥️ - Sehr freundlicher Empfang von Luis
Super Service
Tolles Zimmer und super bequemes Bett
Alles was man braucht ist da
Perfekte Lage um die Stadt zu erkunden

- Regine (9/5): -
- Caroline (10/5): Fabulous stay! - I was moved just round the corner to their other property Casa San Nicolas. It was fabulous!
I also had a beautiful breakfast, the host couldn’t have done enough for me! Great selection which also included organic yoghurt and locally sourced honey.
The added bonus of Molinaseca is being able to swim in the river which just topped off my stay!

I had a fan in my room which made a huge difference on a hot day. We truly enjoyed the Brazilian dinner cooked by the owner and his wife. It was quite obvious that they really enjoyed hosting pilgrims. I highly recommend. Nothing
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmen (10/5): One we will never forgot! - We would return to this hostal if we ever travelled through Molineseca. We stopped over during the camino and we may have missed the legendry Brazillian meal that the hosts preparatory for guests, however a beautiful restawas recommended. In the morning the breaksfaat was exceprionL and one that we continued to talk about the hi EU, cinamon bananas all the way to Santiago!
- Marcos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Wonderful hospitality and some great food to boot. A must stay! - Fabulous spot to take a break along the Camino. Jose and his wife were amazing hosts - can’t recommend their special dinner & delicious breakfast enough! A real treat after a long day’s walk on the Camino. Stay here - you will not be disappointed.
- Terry (9/5): Superb -
- Alon (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing hosts- they sometimes arrange a Brazilian dinner for the guests which is a must
- Anonymous (9/5): Good choice in Molinaseca - Good-sized room and bathroom. Location is great--right in the middle of Molinaseca near restaurants and shops. A highlight was a homemade breakfast prepared and served by the lovely owners.
- Don (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent room, gracious hosts, wonderful location
- Sharon (9/5): Character meets comfort - One of the best welcomes from the Host. Really appreciate particularly at the rate that pilgrims come through.

Hosts were amazing so accomodating plus made us feel like part of the family had a lovely dinner and breakfast in their home which was amazing Having to go up 2 flights of stairs but that was just me after a long camino day
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Todd (7/5): Good -
- Crystal (7/5): Again host was very nice. In fairness, I did not make a complaint, as we are traveling the Camino and was there for jus - The host was very nice. Paid for a private room with private bath. The shower head was broken and the middle piece of the shower head would not stay in causing water to spray everywhere. The room could have been cleaner for what we paid. Many cobwebs in ceiling corners. My friend used her poles to get many of them down. We couldn’t use one of our plugs because the headboard rails were in the way and couldn’t be moved. It wasn’t terrible, I would say it was just okay. I think you could probably find a better deal.
- Keith (10/5): Nice little hotel near the bridge. - Stayed here after coming off the Camino soaked to the bone.
It’s an interesting place where the owner/operator seems to have several smaller properties. When you ring the doorbell he comes to meet you from an adjacent property to check you in and give you your keys.
He and his wife also serve a great breakfast (additional charge) at a nearby property.
You get two physical keys, one for the front door and one for the room although there was another lock on the vestibule serving our room and an adjacent one. I mention this as those locks take some gettin used to which way to turn and how far.
All in all a great stay in a cute little town.

- Loman (9/5): Nice room in a pretty town at the end of a long days walking - Very convenient location and a lovely host Decor was a bit drab and dull . Garden chair in the room. But clean and comfortable with everything I needed.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb - Excellent contact by sms
- Guenther (10/5): Excellent! - This is a wonderful Hostal! I had a private room that was very clean and comfortable. It is located on a quiet street, but just off the main street in the central part of town. The hospitalero is very gracious and friendly. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and a real treat away from the standard fare on the Camino.
