• Simon (4/5): Needs a rennovation - Location Very basic and older furnishings. The bed was extremely firm without any topper, my wife and I could not sleep for long in this bed.

• Caroline (8/5): - I love the location, the pool and being close to the beach. We checked in around 3pm and the floors were still wet with a strong bleach smell. It's like they just cleaned it. There were some building roof restorations work going on with the front units which impacted privacy.

• Tuffin (8/5): Relaxing and peaceful! - Washing machine and dryer, kitchen was adequate with kettle, microwave and stove. Bath was a good a size. Bed was comfortable. Pool and beach access were amazing - highly recommend for families. Close to restaurants and other services.

• Kellie (8/5): Despite a few negatives, our stay was magnificent. The amazing location meant everything. - The location was perfection. Walk to everything. Bed and pillows comfortable and clean. Laundry facilities very handy, fabulous balcony with ocean views. Super easy access from car. Key collection and return were quick and easy transactions. Bar size fridge not sufficient for this property. Freezer was useless and leaked water throughout the fridge. Couch is stained. Bathtub, clean but stained and there was a sickly smell in the bathroom.

The receptionist didn't know how to give verbal instructions In fact we were 500mt from her but she told me to google directions. Very silly and disappointing. After a long trip it would be good to have helpful staff

• Caroline (7/5): Good - Love the Seashells. Fantastic location is near the beach and restaurants ect. We loved sitting on the balcony and swimming in the pool. The bath is very scratched and didn't look very clean. The shower over the bath was awkward and it was difficult to have a shower without getting water on the bathroom floor. The fridge was up too high and required defrosting. It's was also a little noisy, we could hear other guests and doors shutting. .

• Tony (3/5): NEVER AGAIN - Access to the beach and pools. For the price, it was terrible. $650 for a ground floor room with no view unless you liked looking at the back of the beach chalets which had bedroom windows facing directly into our room and balcony, zero privacy. The carpet looked like it had some kind of acid burns on it. The TV and bed were cheap and poor quality. The fridge door was missing its bottom retainer. Whilst the staff were lovely, they didn't have a clue where we were supposed to go and there was no map directions on where we to stay, fortunately, we know the area well and after a few phone calls and a wasted hour we finally found our miserable room. Upon arrival, I found that if we wanted to use the pool, we had to drive back to the office to get some towels AND pay a surcharge!!!!! For $650, we couldn't get 2 towels. I have stayed at the sea shells quite a few times and for the same money, I've had fifth floor apartments with full panoramic views of the ocean and the inlet or one of the magnificent beach side chalets that I was looking at the back of. All I can say is...STAY AWAY, this is not even remotely value for money. If you want a pleasant night away for a short staycation, this NOT where you want to go.

• Bert (8/5): A great location, roomy apartment in a quiet peaceful area and affordable. - The location was a real bonus. Walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. The apartment was roomy and comfortable. The area was very quiet and peaceful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend it to family and friends. The fridge was inside a cupboard, so the heat couldn't escape, as there were no air vents. It was set on the coldest setting and needed to stay on that to keep the food cold enough. The small freezer section was covered in ice and at one stage we couldn't close the fridge door as the ice build up was too big. Had to scrape some ice away to close the fridge door. After that we left the cupboard (which housed the fridge) open, and all was fine, could even turn the fridge to a less colder setting. The light above the sink area (can't remember exactly which part), we couldn't get to work. Also a globe wasn't working near the kitchen section, so it was pretty dark there. A handyman did come out promptly, to put a new globe in, but couldn't fix the lighting above the work area. Also we couldn't get the tap to fill up the bath to work. We don't like complaining, but feel that some of these issues need attention.

• Diane (9/5): A wonderful location in beautiful Mandurah - Location was wonderful, right beside the beach and just a walk to lovely shops and cafes. The apartment was spacious, very well appointed kitchen. The bathroom was tired. We couldn't switch the water from shower to spa bath so had to fill it via the waterfall shower which needs replacing. The bath needs resurfacing, with brown marks over the bottom. It was unsightly and offputting and the apartment should not be rented out until repaired. We deserve a partial refund. It was slightly inconvenient having to uplift and return keys from a different location. Luckily we had a car but initially we were training down and would add to the cost using taxis. 3 remotes for the TV and no instructions. No compendium of local information.

The instructions on how to get the keycard was confusing and not clear. We arrived at the Dolphin Quay Apartment 12 am in the rain and could not get any taxi, uber, didi to take us to the actual location where we will be staying at which is Seashells Mandurah. I am disappointed and unsatisfied with t how to get the keycard for our apartment. Moving from one location to another in the middle of the night pouring rain with suitcases and unable to get a ride would definitely call it a miserable experience and it was.

The location was amazing and the place was well kept. - I was able to get the keys on a late arrival Communication message regarding late check in was sent to me very last minute. Also would of been more convenient to pick up the keys at the same location as where we were staying.

• Jennifer (6/5): No view - The location of the hotel was great, the location of the room not so great Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The non existant view of the ocean or surrounds as promised. As soon as we walked in we could see that our view was the back of the 2 storey units in front. Those units in front have windows which could see right into your balcony, there is no incentive to want to sit out there which is a pity because it would've been lovely.

Pool chairs were dirty and irresponsible parents allowing children to run and jump in pool with out any care for other people wishing to use the pool. A few more sun shades would be nice.

The staff to the resort were very helpful and went out of their way to help. originally didn’t have WiFi but with a lot of cajoling from on site staff and customers it was put in. Although it’s range is limited, the Seashells Wi-Fi is far superior and offers films. It’s advertised for longer term stays - needs full sized fridge and freezer. we stayed for a month and the policy of only thoroughly cleaning at end of stay has to change, needs vacuuming at least once a week. A walk in shower is needed, climbing into a bath is most unsatisfactory and dangerous. Dishwasher is very poor would not remove sun cream or lipstick.

• Donna (4/5): way too many steps to have to go through just to check in and out. - The check in and check out were extra step I'd prefer not to have done. Having to go someone where else to collect the keys and then find the accommodation was not explained ahead of booking - and I wouldn't have booked if I knew this. The worse thing was the name of the accommodation on my booking was not the name of the actual building and there was no clear address, so I ended up driving around looking for the name of a venue that didn't exist. I tried to call the after hours mobile number for assistance and no one picked up. Check out was the same thing - I had to return the key to the locked box at a different location but wasn't told what the code would be. However I was told that I'd be fined if I didn't return the keys. I checked out at 6am and again contacted the mobile number and never heard back. Very poor experience and would not be recommending this to anyone.
