Aan de tuinzijde hoor je wel de ventilatie draaien. Maar dit valt best mee. Ik vond het ontbijt karig.

- Michael (10/5): I wanted somewhere quiet and homely for a good rest and North Kessock Hotel was spot on. - It is situated in a quiet area with on road parking. The room was very clean with a modern bathroom and a fantastic shower. The beds seemed hard at first but I still had a very sleep, waking fresh and ready for a long drive home. It was a bit small with one uncomfortable chair. The online description of side view of the river means you have to twist your neck a bit to get a glimpse of water.

- Philippa (8/5): I love it here, really lovely spot. - Best freshly cooked breakfast in the Northern Hemisphere! The breakfast room itself is a bit lacking in atmosphere - could maybe do with some gentle music to cover up the noise & chit-chat from the kitchen - this can only be heard because of the tranquillity of the location! Dinner through in the other Restaurant is a bit pricey, but well worth it - always delicious and piping hot. There's a bar area, and an outdoor seating area which I think might be a recent addition - it looks lovely. I love staying here. The view from the waters edge facing rooms is just so peaceful. The downside of that is you are roadside, so the 4.30am delivery woke me 🤣 The food and the staff and the Manager Ian absolutely make this place for me, they are so nice & friendly. What could do with updating/improving are the mattress and most certainly the pillows. Would I return - yes I would. Even just for the Sticky Toffee Pudding! 🤣

My starter of scallops was perfectly cooked and the main course of venison could not have been bettered. My only small criticism is that the sweet course could have been smaller!

- LowerPitkerrie (8/5): Weekend on the Moray Firth - Friendly staff apart from check-in, delicious food, and a sizable room with dual aspect windows. The bed was very comfortable and the room was fully stocked with consumables. Check-in was a disaster with little to no information being provided. I had to push to get a restaurant booking in a crowded venue and there was no explanation as to how to operate the shower.

- Tony (10/5): Great hotel, exceptional food - Pulled up outside the Hotel and the view across the water was stunning. In conversation next morning I discovered that a few days earlier, 3 dolphins were seen frollicking in the water just off shore. I was lucky to have a room at the front of the hotel and again enjoy the view. Though sadly no dolphins appeared. In reception I noticed a framed award presented to he hotel as finalists in the 3* hotel catogory. I would reccomend them to be winners. The hotel restaurant is justifiably popular with locals for a special dining experience. I can confirm the food is amongst the best I have eaten. This is not a critisism: put on linen table cloths and napkins and it would compete with the best. I believe the owner is also the chef? his passion and dedication to good food made my experience memorable. If I am lucky to be in this area again, I will definetly be staying here. I cannot fault The North Kessock Hotel

Pleasant warm room, bathroom was really good, great shower, lots of shelf room and plenty of Body wash etc. Firm comfortable beds. Everything was fine.

- Ms AAH (7/5): Comfortable, pleasant place - Great room - comfortable, clean, with a very nice bathroom. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Dinner was excellent, very tasty. Unfortunately Storm Ada took out all the power in the region at 8.30pm on the night of our stay, so it was a very early night and no chance for coffee in the morning! Reception was unclear - I went through a door labelled 'Reception' and was in a lobby with no obvious staff or place to go - I ended up peering through a door and calling out. Dinner was great, but the staff forgot us after the main course (it was very busy). We sat with our empty plates for 20+ minutes, and decided to go, despite having been interested in ordering desserts and coffee.

- Baztheman42 (4/5): Very disappointing evening delayed food and poor service - We were a group of 8 dining at your restaurant with a reservation at 5:45 PM. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing for several reasons: • Long Wait for Mains: While three of us had starters (and a kids’ meal arrived with them), we waited an unusually long time for the main courses. Despite asking multiple times, we were told “about 10 minutes” by one of the servers, and then later “2 more minutes” by someone from the bar. In the end, our mains didn’t arrive until around 7:20 PM — well over 90 minutes after we arrived. • Food Quality Issues: Some of the dishes, especially the battered fish and battered prawns, were extremely greasy and difficult to eat. One person in our group had waited so long that they were no longer able to finish their meal. The only dish that stood out in a positive way was the venison, which was well-cooked and enjoyable. • Service Concerns: Staff never approached us to check if we wanted more drinks. They seemed more focused on talking amongst themselves, and we had to get their attention to order drinks. On two separate occasions, we had to get up ourselves to ask for more water. • Poor Communication: We were told that the delay was due to the restaurant being full and all the orders coming in at once. While we understand that busy periods happen, it’s not acceptable for customers to wait so long without proper updates or care from the staff. • End of Visit: After our table was finally cleared, we were offered the dessert menu, but by then it was nearly 8:00 PM and we declined — we’d simply waited too long. After paying the bill and leaving, not one member of staff said goodbye, thank you, or even made eye contact with us. We left feeling extremely disappointed. ⸻ In Summary: The quality of the food (with the exception of one dish), the long wait times, lack of communication, and poor service made this a very underwhelming experience. We hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve both the customer service and kitchen coordination in the future.

- Sharon (5/5): Tired hotel, no lift, noisy, and not very comfortable. We would not recommend this hotel. - Good size room. There was no lift, so we had to drag our very heavy case up the stairs. At the time of booking, and prior to arrival, I sent the hotel two messages asking to book a table for dinner at a specific time. The hotel responded to the second message, saying that there were always tables for the hotel guests for dinner, so we did not need to book. On arrival, we unfortunately could not get a table for dinner at the time we wanted, as they were all booked up! They could however, offer a very late time for dinner, which we did not want. Therefore, unfortunately, we had to go elsewhere for dinner. We booked a 'Superior Double Room', which certainly did not feel like a 'superior' room. The bed was ok, a little hard, but ok. The lamp bulbs protruded out of the top of the lamps, and were much too bright, so we didn't use them as it was uncomfortable to have them on. The TV is situated on the wall on the far left of the room, so the person on the right-hand side of the bed (me) would get a crooked neck if trying to watch TV, as it's too far on the left-hand side (about 8-10 feet on the left from where you are sitting/lying on the bed). It wouldn't be as bad if it had an extending arm/bracket where you could adjust the positioning, but it was fixed flat to the wall. The blind on the toilet door fell apart when we tried to close it, so my husband had to put it all back together, and we didn't touch it after that! The toilet was wall-hung and installed far too low. During the night, whilst washing my hands, the top of the tap fell off, which my husband re-attached in the morning! The hotel was noisy with banging doors until very late, and noisy people above us, which continued past 1 am!! We felt that the hotel was overpriced for the room, and we would not return or recommend this hotel.

Parked right out front of the pub…heaps of parking due to quiet position. Our room had views of the water. Good hot showers, heating, comfy beds. Tasteful decor, it seemed to be very well maintained. We had a lovely continental breakfast for very reasonable price, hit breakfast available on menu and by ordering, and an excellent pub meal for dinner. My husband is gluten free and they have a full gf version of the menu. The staff were all great. We have no complaints. We had to take cases up stairs but it was very manageable. Not a negative as we just took overnight bags.
- 695VeronicaB (10/5): A lovely overnight stay on the road South! - We stayed at the North Kessock Hotel last week on our way back to England from the Isle of Lewis. We had a very comfortable room, overlooking the Firth of Beauly. Whilst the room was compact, it was very well equipped, nicely furnished and welcoming. We had a really good evening meal of battered king prawns, salad & deliciously chunky chips in the bar / restaurant and then a lovely breakfast the following morning in the dining room on the other side of the entrance hall. The salmon & scrambled eggs was plentiful and delicious. My 'other half' had the cooked breakfast which was nicely cooked & very enjoyable. All in all a great stay - thanks to all the Team.

Free parking outside property, perfect for a nigh - We ate in the restaurant as nowhere else nearby, the food was gorgeous. Very friendly staff, comfortable bed with tea/coffee in the room, very clean. Good choice if you are doing the NC500 Nothing

- M. (8/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful, and local attractions were just a short drive away. The room was clean and well appointed. It's an older hotel, and that's apparent in some of the decor and facilities. It was quite warm in the room even on a cool day, but that was quickly resolved by opening the windows a bit

- Jan (8/5): Fijn verblijf met veel mogelijkheden! - Goed restaurant , leuke bar, groot terras gedeeltelijk overkapt. Personeel was geweldig, stonden altijd voor je klaar en supervriendelijk. Ook de eigenaar en z’n vrouw waren heel vriendelijk en persoonlijk. Wij hadden een hele kleine badkamer. De kamer was ook niet groot .

Perched overlooking the stunning Beauly Firth, the hotel provided breathtaking views that enhanced our stay. Dining downstairs at the restaurant was a wonderful experience, with a vibrant ambiance that made every meal special. We couldn't fault this experience in any way—truly a highlight of our trip!
