• Timmer, (6/5): Kleine Zimmer, sparsam eingerichtet, gemacht für Übernachtung, nicht für Urlaubs - Altes Haus, aber Zimmer und Bad neu und sehr modern renoviert. Frühstück nicht im Zimmerpreis enthalten, im Café nebenan, sehr freundlich, reichlich. Lage mitten in Daun optimal. Zimmer etwas klein für ein Doppelzimmer, nicht mal Platz für mehr als einen Stuhl. Nur wenige Sender im Fernseher.

• Alexander (7/5): - Ondanks dat het in het midden van de stad ligt, is de geluidsisolatie goed Voor Eifelsteig wandelaars: het hotel ligt aan een “zuweg” naar de Eifelsteig die een km verderop ligt.

• Alexander (6/5): Ruhig, gute Lage, am Kopfkissen und der Dusche besteht Handlungsbedarf - alle sehr freundlich und unkompliziert gute Lage günstiger Grossparkplatz in der Nähe Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen Ich habe auf dem sehr hohen Kopfkissen nicht gut geschlafen Dusche nicht sauber (verkalkter Duschkopf, defekte Armatur, Duschkopf-Aufhängung siffig)

• Georg (9/5): - Das Frühstücksbuffet war super. Es zwei Varianten. Eins für 15,90 € eins (das Buffet) für 19,90 €. Produkte aus der Region super lecker, O-Saft und andere Säfte, Obst, ect alles da. Das Restaurant ist total urig mit einer Empore, eine richtige tolle Einrichtung. Auch das Personal ist super freundlich - Danke hier an Madlen und Anja. Für Biker gibt es auch eine Unterstellmöglichkeit in der Garage. Wir waren mit dem Auto dort und sind den Maare-Mosel-Radweg runter gefahren.

• JPB1904 (4/5): Strange behaviour of service - In the beginning of the evening, the service was very cheerfull and gave the opinion your are very welcome, which is one of the most important aspects of the people who give service on a terrass. But during the evening it changed to a more nonchalant automated task which had to be performed: drinks are thrown on the table without any word or attention for the customers. Too bad, but we won't come back there. A better place to be is on the opposite, the brasserie of Hotel Stadt Daun which has nice people, great food, drinks and service that make you feel a guest in the house.

However, I stayed here on a Wednesday out of peak tourist season (early September), when pretty much the whole town turns out to be shut. Any other day of the week would probably have been a better experience.
• Sean (8/5): Good value, friendly place to stay. - Conveniently located for local walking routes. The town has everything you are likely to need. The staff were very well organised, friendly and welcoming. Rooms are basic but at the standard expected. The attached bar and restaurant is also good.

• Anna (10/5): - Hübsches Fachwerkhaus. Bei Fragen und Problemen wurde mir sofort freundlich und kompetent geholfen. Ich würde aufjeden Fall wieder hin. Das einzige Problem ist die Parksituation. Es ist kein eigener Parkplatz vorhanden.
• Silverfox36065 (4/5): Not for me thanks - I asked for a double room, single occupancy. Because I was travelling alone I was given a double room with a double bed and A SINGLE SIZE DUVET! How crazy is that?! It looked ridiculous and felt wrong. Lots of noise from drinkers sitting outside the bar. The restaurant and food was nice though, but nobody else in there. You get a breakfast option, but you have to walk to a different hotel to eat it! There was WiFi available, which was good down in the reception/bar area, but up in my room on the 2nd floor it was very weak. Overall, I was unimpressed.

• Gabi (6/5): - Hotel liegt an einer viel befahrenen Strasse und ist entsprechend laut. Essen schmeckt steril und aufgewärmt. Service sehr freundlich und schnell Lage sehr zentral. Für Kurz-Urlaub ok.
• Verified traveler (4/5): small rooms, the hotel needs a renovation - The thing that disturbed me the most was the very small room. The bathroom was indeed big but contained only a shower, so it was mostly an unusable space. The hotel generally needs a renovation. For example, some light bulbs were missing, the carpets were losing color as well as the staircase that needed painting. Furthermore, the hotel has no parking so I had to wake up early and buy a parking card. The WIFI was weak and frequently collapsing for a few hours. Finally, the price was not high, but we paid the same in Best Western in Trier a day before, for example, and got much more for the same rate. Two positive things I can say are that the hotel staff was friendly and that the hotel restaurant was good.
• petervS6261LT (8/5): Very good restaurant - This is German cooking as I know and love it: Quality ingredients, carefully and lovingly prepared. They serve some local specialities, and traditional hearty fare. Excellent service in a child friendly restaurant. Recommended.
