Guest Reviews
- kristina (8/5): - Rooms had all we needed though a little squishy with luggage. Staff was friendly. Make sure you put the decorative throws somewhere she can see them or she will chase down your car and cut into your travel itinerary.
- Nataraj (10/5): - Good location. Great host.
- Michael (10/5): Excellent stay - Loved our stay very friendly and welcomeing loved the diffrent styles of rooms it was one of the reasons we choose to stay here. Very clean and brilliant friendly atmosphere at breakfast which had so much to choose from will definitely be back highly recommended đ
- Eric (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean, our room was very clean and comfortable. We had stayed 10 days around the country and this was by far our most comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable. One thing that I didnât think would make a big deal was the fact that the shades on the windows made the room very dark. We visited during June and it was light a lot and we had a hard time adjusting to the new time zone and that actually helped us sleep better than we had before during our stay. We had a very nice breakfast downstairs that was included. The owner was very friendly and nice and very welcoming. The property was also in a good location to explore Inverness! Loved our stay here and would definitely stay again if we come back!
- David (10/5): - Mandy the owner was brilliant with those extra unexpected touches, like the water and wine in the room, and the cakes left for us on our second night, the whole place was very clean and the breakfast and choice was great.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Loved our stay at the Gleninver Guest house. Our host was very attentive to our needs and suggested local places in town to make our experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast was wonderful with specific dietary accommodations for us. The breakfast "diner" was unique as was the decorations of each room. Although the hot tub wasn't available (due to covid restraints), our overall experience was fantastic and would recommend to any travelers.
- Neale (10/5): - Fab nights stay! Fantastic host comfy bed and a beautiful breakfast definitely recommend.
- Neil (10/5): Great B&B with a Wonderful Host - Stayed here for five nights and wouldn't hesitate to book again. Host Mandy was unbelievably welcoming and helpful going above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
For a small B&B the facilities in our room were amazing. The bed was comfortable and, being set back from the main Fort William Road, there was little traffic noise.
Breakfast? - Superb! All you could ask for. Location was just right for us, just a pleasant 15/20 minute walk to town centre alongside the river.
Thank you Mandy for all you did for us and for making our stay so pleasurable,
- Nikki (10/5): - Had lovely stay here room was so comfortable and breakfast was lovely toođ Mandy was a lovely host and so inviting, would highly recommend!! Thanks for having usâșïž
- Elaine (10/5): So friendly - Lovely, Mandy is so friendly and a wonderful host. The room was very clean and the bed so comfy. Thanks for the complimentary bubbly and chocolate, much appreciated. Very nice breakfast in the amazing diner. We'd happily recommend and hope to stay again.
- Samantha (10/5): Jackie and Steve - Really lovely B&B very comfortable bed havenât slept so well in years beautiful cooked breakfast everything you could have wanted and more! Mandy was a very lovely host couldnât do anymore for you ! And we will definitely be staying again.
- Sarah (8/5): - Very friendly and welcoming.
- Adam (10/5): A great stay - We had a really great stay at the Gleninver Guest House, we stayed three nights over a Loch Ness Marathon weekend a nothing was to much for Mandy the owner during such a busy event.
It was clean, beautifully decorated and we had a bath n our private bathroom as well. We had two breakfasts there and both times we asked for dippy soft boiled eggs and soldiers and they were all cooked just right too.
The guest house is 10 minutes walk from Inverness city centre (which we really liked), 5 minutes walk from the river and Bught Park (handy for the marathon) and 20 minutes drive to the Loch Ness Visitors Centre so really well positioned.
We would definitely go back when weâre back in the highlands
- peter (10/5): - supercute place with the nicest host
- kora (4/5): Disappointing stay - We stayed in the champagne-themed room for two - which is decorated quirkily and nicely as shown in the photos. However, the "private" bathroom is not en-suite (it's actually across the hall), and "other guests are not meant to use it" - which was far from reassuring, especially since the door didn't actually lock from the outside. There was no mobile service in the room. Upon arriving in the evening, we were expected to know what we wanted to have for breakfast the next day and to state the exact time we'd be having breakfast. Had no service in the room and the WIFI password was unclear so it took ages to connect. The owners also live in the house. In retrospect, would much rather have spent the same amount of money to stay at a local Premier Inn, where I know what to expect and have more privacy since this experience felt more like we were staying in a hostel. First time in a B&B so perhaps this is typical, but I would caution prospective visitors to go in with the right expectations to avoid disappointment.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ein tolles Erlebnis!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly host and a great breakfast. Great local knowledge.
- simon (10/5): Excellent place to stay - The owners of this guest house were very friendly and very easy to chat to. They met all of our requests and were happy to help us. The room was very cosy and the complimentary fridge filled with drinks in the hallway was an added bonus. Shower could have been more powerful but it was not a massive problem seeing as the room was very nice. Parking was a bit tight but it can be done.
- Therese (10/5): - We had a terrific stay at Gleninver Guest House! We only wish we had stayed more than one night. Lovely breakfast!
- James (10/5): Great Little Guest House. - Very friendly and couldnât do enough to make our short stay great and make us feel welcome. Beers, sparkling wine or water, as a welcome in the communal fridge was a nice touch and whatever you wanted for breakfast was no problem. Also, a pleasant 10 minute walk along the river to Inverness town centre.
- Marte (10/5): A great place to stay - We stayed at Gleniver guest house for two nights, and would have loved to stay longer. After travelling around in Ireland and Scotland for two weeks, living in every thing from 4 stars hotels to student accomodation, this is the place we will remember the best. The rooms were beautiful and cleen, the breakfast was great, and our hostess, Mandy, was wery helpfull and kind. We would love to stay here again.
- Kerry (10/5): - Our stay at Gleninver was very nice. The room was very well decorated and the bed was super comfortable. The welcome drink was much appreciated. Breakfast was very homey.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Some of the services which should be included were not. Misleading advertisement. Host couple wasnât polite all time and especially male host gave âagressiveâ impression.
- Silvia (10/5): Great place!! so sweet home ownerr - Super!!
The owner , Mandi, is simply fantastic. She makes you feel at home.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Mandy is a sweetheart and a good cook too! Our family room was quirky and cute w comfy beds- decorated in bright colors.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very unique rooms with much love from Marylin Monroe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Supermysigt litet B&B, fint inrett och Mandy Àr jÀttetrevlig!
- Sam (8/5): - Charming hostess cosy and comfy place. Quiet and peaceful.
- Stephanie (8/5): Close to city center and uniquely decorated rooms - Overall, the room and bathroom was very clean and all amenities were provided. The area is quiet and close to the main attractions Inverness has to offer (around 20 min drive to Urquhart Castle). The owners were helpful and informative.
- André (10/5): Super Gastgeber! - Sehr sauberes Zimmer und tolle Gastgeber! Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen!
- Amy (10/5): Fun and interesting guest house. - The inside if the guest house was very interesting and clean. We enjoyed the decor which was fun. The breakfast bar was lovely and had everything anyone would want for breakfast. The host was lovely and made us feel very comfortable. Thank-you for a lovely time.
- Marco (10/5): Great stay in Inverness - I liked the themed rooms as well as the dining room. Bed was comfortable and Mandy did all that you get your breakfast. Perfect place!
- Britt (10/5): - We had such a lovely stay here, th host is absolutely lovely and very accommodating! We had the highland cow room which put a permanent smile on our faces, along with the big bathtub. Would absolutely stay here again, breakfast was perfect, it was hard to leave!
- Carol (10/5): Simply beautiful.... - We loved the place. We loved her interior design. The host was very friendly and helpful. A hearty breakfast with plenty of choices. Highly recommended....
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quirky decor and good food - Easy access to Inverness centre and the river. Comfortable although our room was rather small and lacked hanging and drawer space - and surfaces for laptop, charging phones etc.
Very friendly host and excellent cooked breakfast.
Decor is themed around 1950s USA and blingy but quirky well done!
- Sarah (10/5): - Some nice touches - hostess brought us some drinks in the evening and a made to order breakfast that was great. Short walk into town for dinner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable hotel and close to the city center.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet and peaceful, close to city centre - Host very friendly and accommodating, very relaxed.
Room was more than adequate for single person or couple. Would recommend if you wish to stay outside of the busy centre but close enough to walk to and from
- Tim (10/5): - Stayed for event at Eden Center and meal in Inverness
- Sunshine (10/5): Awesome stay! - My mom, aunt and I stayed here as we were passing through on our self guided tour of Scotland. Mandy is wonderful and so accommodating! The beds were comfortable and our private bathroom/shower was great. Mandy cooks and serves meals herself in a small diner downstairs. Everything was just wonderful. Mandy even offered to wash our clothes after our luggage had been lost for four days. I would highly recommend Mandy's place to any traveler.
- Damian (10/5): Great Guesthouse Experience - Great place to stay just down the street from the city center and walking area. Our every need was looked after and nothing was too much trouble. We slept great, ate good, and very much enjoyed our stay. Donât waste your money anywhere else. I would definitely stay here again.
- THIERRY (10/5): On conseille !
