Squallido soprattutto la stanza singola che sembrava la cella di un convento arredata con mobili vecchi. Il bagno confortevole. Inoltre con lo stesso prezzoco 3 giorni prima avevo pagato una stanza favolosa al 4 stelle ZANHOTEL che addirittura mi aveva assegnato una camera con letto matrimoniale king per una persona. Purtroppo non avevano disponibilità . Sicuramente non ci tornerei

It was located about a block from the train station and walking distance to city center and the historic sites/shopping district. The room was extremely clean and modern. The host was friendly and extremely helpful. We will stay there again the next time we visit Bologna. Nothing - It was perfect for us.

- Monica (1/5): Wouldn't recommend staying here for safety reasons - The only good thing about this hotel was the location. They were entering the room without our consent to turn off the AC and we had left snacks in there and all the chocolate was melted when we got back. They didn't even change the towels or make the beds so not sure why they were entering the room, zero privacy wouldn't recommend leaving any valuables in the room. You never know if they are going to go through your personal stuff. If I'm paying the amount I paid, I should be able to have the freedom to leave the AC on unless stated otherwise. Also, they should ask for permission before entering the room as they please. The owner is very shady.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointed - It was difficult finding the apt. It’s said to be a hotel, but is more of an apt. Apparently from Oct - May Bologna doesn’t allow air conditioning to be used, at least that is what the owner/manager said, however it was still warm outside and this is a downtown unit on a busy street, busy all night. To much sound to sleep. The unit was very clean, but couldn’t sleep at all.

- oxanal272 (10/5): Great location and hospitality 💫 - Wonderful place to stay in Bologna. It’s really close to the train station and the city center. I had a large piece of luggage that was hard to drag around the city so being close to the station really made my trip logistics better. I was able to easily take a train to Modena, which again saved me lots of time on logistics. My walk from the station to the b&b was smooth and under 5 mins. The place is very clean, quiet and the shower is great - usually I struggle with the level of heat and pressure but this time it scored. Definitely recommend!

I think it was not from the hotel but on the same floor. The television in their room was on until past midnight and effected my sleep.
- joooolesm (8/5): Decent stay but, given the price, a couple of downsides. - This was a small operation on the third floor of a building very close to the train station, as the name suggests -- why I chose to stay here – and because photos showed the room as a fairly spacious double, with a handy single bed to spread out my stuff. The room faced the street and was rather noisy at times. That wasn’t so bothersome but … although there were “no smoking” signs, the hallway reeked of a sickening cigarette smoke. The listing may have mentioned it, but there was no in-room private bathroom; instead, I was offered a “private” bathroom down the hall, which turned out to be a major hassle. The WIFI was good enough though it wasn't connecting 100% of the time. Other than that, my two-day stay was fine enough. The room came with a comfortable bed and everything I needed, including a refrigerator, and the proprietor was very helpful. I was offered a free coffee and a brioche each morning which, I was told, wasn’t always provided with reservations made through Expedia (true or no, I was offered a lot more breakfast elsewhere during my trip across Northern Italy ... while paying less). All in all, given the fairly high price paid, I think I might have found more suitable lodging near Bologna Centrale. I struggled to give this review four stars; reading reviews by other guests got me there.

Giovanni was an excellent host who welcomed us warmly (communication prior to our stay was prompt and efficient). The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had a fridge and a coffee maker which we weren't expecting. The position of the property was very convenient for the train station - a three minute walk from the side entrance of the station. There were lots of places to eat nearby ( and , of course, shops and a supermarket) and we had a great meal at an authentic Italian restaurant recommended by Giovanni. Bed & Breakfast Centrale is quiet and comfortable with a convenient location for exploring the city. We highly recommend a stay here and if we return to Bologna we won't even consider staying anywhere else. Thank you Giovanni.

- April-pixie (10/5): Lovely stay. - We arranged to stay here several months before actually arriving and had excellent communication with Giovanni throughout. Bologna Centrale is a short 2 blocks away making it convenient for train travelers such as us. Once we arrived he gave us suggestions on where to eat as well as a map to orient us. We spent 2 rainy days in Bologna during the recent flooding and were grateful to return to our room after a day of wet sightseeing. Our room was comfy with two beds, great WiFi and lots of hot water. We opted for the quick breakfast at the cafe downstairs and enjoyed that as well.

- TamRea (8/5): Great place to stay near Train Station - This is an excellent place to stay near Bologna Centrale. The area felt safe and plenty of places to eat near by. We were able to walk to the Bologna area sites. The only heads up is the room that has a double bed and single bed has a bathroom down the hall. We were told no one else would use the bathroom, but you can't lock the door from the outside, so anyone could just walk in and use the bathroom when not occupied. The host was very friendly and kind.

- P3450NEmatthewt (8/5): Value for money of place & location - Great location to Central Station as its only a minutes walk. Its quite & safe neighbourhood for a good sleep and comfort. About half an hour walk to the centre of town but there are loads of buses if walking isn't your thing. I would stay again if im ever back in town.
- Paul (8/5): Very good - I had a great welcome from Giovanni and all communication was excellent. The B&B is very close to the train station and only a 15/20 minute walk to the centre of the city. Unexpectedly, I was given two vouchers to have breakfast (coffee and croissant) at a nearby cafe. I was on a short cultural tour of Italian cities and, all in all, the B&B suited my purposes very well. Thank you. On one night, there was quite a lot of noise from an adjacent apartment, which went on until quite late. Nothing Giovanni could have done about this.

Located near railway station and possible to walk around and to city center, near Modigliani museum (MAMbo:). Very nice host and helpful. We were happy to stay there and recommend you to book when visit Bologna.

It is clean and it is ideal for short visit. This b&b is on the third floor of a building where professionals or private people live.
- edmonda397 (10/5): Great value - Really short walk from the train station; allowed us to use Bologna as a base for daily train trips to Ravenna, Mantua, Verona,.... without having to change hotels every day, and without having to pay high hotel prices; excellent value for the money. We also found reasonably priced good restaurants around the area. Giovanni, the owner, was very hospitable and welcoming. PS Excellent air conditioning in the room :)
- Kanuck98 (10/5): Great stay and Friendly Owner - I stayed twice at Bed and Breakfast Centrale. The location is a mere 3-5 minutes’ walk from Napoli Centrale. There are a number of trattorias and mercatoa nearby if you need to feed your hunger. The owner - Giovanni - greeted us at the door and offered to store our luggage as he was still in the process of cleaning our room. Yes, he is hands-on and genuinely happy to welcome guests. We had a triple bed-equipped room, and had enough space to spread our belongings out. A fridge is provided, as is coffee and tea. The air conditioning is cold, and the key system for getting into the building and rooms is logical. The two towers of Bologna are about a 20-minute walk away, and lots of shopping can be passed along the way. Communication was open; he messaged us a few weeks before our arrival to ensure he was present for our early check-in, and also suggested various restaurants and activities we may have wished to partake. We hope to return as soon as possible. Thanks, Giovanni.

- Siva (10/5): Great stay at Bologna - Absolutely lovely host and very cozy accommodations. It's a short walk away from the city center but I would stay here next time. We could easily walk to all the key spots. Giovanni, the host is very very helpful and flexible. Great stay overall! Nothing. It was very good.

- SANJOY (2/5): - B&B owner Giovanni, didn't care. Too high price for all the trouble we took. His place was too hard to find even for local Bologna people who came with us searching for his place. There was no sign board, just under all apt owners a small name plate for mail it said "B&B". He sent us what's app same day of our check in but we were in transit and had no Wify. He could not understand english. This was a real unpleasant experience for us. We had to look for wify to see our text as he said "he texted us that he wont be home" and be back later. We ran from here to there in a new city Bologna, trying to get another accommodation prior to seeing his text after getting wify from another hotel. Finally, after getting wify i spoke to his translator on what's app. We decided to come back to his place at 10:30pm. But he again came 15min late & we stood outside the main entrance of this residential complex waiting for him. When he came he just said, he went for dinner with friends. Next day we checked out and left our luggage with him. When we came back at the time we agreed upon, he gave our luggage but wouldn't let us use the toilet and said "they are all occupied" .... unfriendly, unprofessional, inhospitable, senseless. Never again a B&B with orbitz. This selection is not good for orbitz on B&B. This place should not be promoted. This types of service is not good for Orbitz business. This is not worth $25/night. So sorry but no one should experience this. Sanjoy
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bed & Breakfast Centrale is located a few minutes walk from Bologna central station and 15 minutes walk to the historic center. On arrival, I found Giovanni very welcoming, polite and very helpful. My single room was comfortable with kettle, nespresso machine, iron, ironing board and hairdryer provided. Breakfast included (croissant/panini and coffee/tea) was provided by the friendly staff in the cafe next door
- L (10/5): Convenient and appropriate - We enjoyed our stay. Conveniently located near railway station, clean and excellent service. It''s 15-20mins walk to Bologna center but lots of shopping and restaurants if you don't mind the walk. So, for being near Bologna centrale, it's perfect. Our main goal was just that so that we can take the train and also catch the Airbus to the airport. We did discover more though. Great restaurants within 10 miins walk. The outside of the hotel is not the best looking surrounding but is ok. The best part was the service. Giovanni responded quickly to my messages, was flexible when we had to make a last minute change, and even assisted me with obtaining boarding passes. As others had observed, the mattress was a little bit hard so we hope they can improve that.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This B&B is located very close to the main train station which is why we choose to stay at the B&B Centrale. (It is a given that being near main streets means there will be some traffic noise.) Our room was clean and had carved wooden furnishings, a firm mattress and pillows, long gorgeous heavy drapery at the window, and ample space in the room for all our luggage. Directly across the street is a 24/7 shop of vending machines convenient for drinks and snacks when you awaken with jet lag in the middle of the night. The best however was the friendly proprietor who met us cheerfully at our late arrival and kept our luggage the next day even after we checked out so we could see the town before leaving. The unique accommodations and such personal assistance made for a lovely stay. We would definitely stay there again.
- Amy (10/5): I'd definitely stay again - The owner was so helpful and hospitable and had my room ready early for me to check in. The room was spacious, comfortable and I had a good night sleep. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. I will definitely stay here again as not only did I enjoy my of night stay but it's so close to the train station/airport bus and the centre of this attractive city. Great wifi too, nice and fast.

- RGBookman (10/5): - Great value, excellent location just a few minutes from the Central Station. Room was immaculate with a private bathroom directly across the hall, which was fine. Welcomed by smiling Giovanni - who made sure I had the best, faultless directions from the airport for a late arrival. Felt very safe and secure. Thoughtful details from Giovanni - water dispenser - chocolates in the hall (yes it was me who ate most of them) and a great coffee maker in the room. Breakfast is at the tabac next door - Cafe Chez Maxsi - perfect - friendly folk there too - and help with bus tickets and taxis. Giovanni's local knowledge led to Bar Ristorante Il Veliero which was a real 'local' find. Next corner up, on the right on Via Milazzo - opens 6.30 pm - best to book. Never saw such Pizza choice before - but a broad menu and good wine took me back 3 times in 7 days.
- Jenny (10/5): Lovely Stay - Our stay was short (just one night) but we were very impressed with this accommodation. It is very close to the train station. Our host Giovanni was very easy to communicate with and it was a breeze to setup a time for our check in. He provided us with tickets for a brioche and coffee, which we appreciated very much, grazie! The room and bathrooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, I would definitely recommend B&B Centrale!
