• O1964HAdg (4/5): Not the Peaceful Stay We Expected - I stayed here and, if I’m honest, I wish I hadn’t. Throughout our stay, we could hear a dog barking in a nearby room. When we asked about it, no one seemed to take responsibility. We were only told they had an idea who it might be, and that the hotel allows pets. I have a dog myself, so I’m normally very pet-friendly, but this was different — the dog was barking and howling whenever it was left alone in the room. We were given no explanation or gesture of goodwill. From what I gathered, it seems the hotel rents some rooms to long-term residents or to people coming in from other parts of Barcelona for extended stays. Unfortunately, this completely spoiled my holiday. I was woken up early in the morning and kept awake at night by the distressed dog. I definitely would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.
• JONATHAN (8/5): - The staff was friendly. The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the city and hills at night. It seems they have multiple buildings with rooms. We were in the building attached to the reception. We appreciated the free parking in the nearby parking garage for our car. The room was affordable albeit we were only a 40-minute drive to the airport in the morning traffic. We did not have the breakfast as we had an early departure. We did enjoy a cheese plate and Sangria in the bar the night we arrived.

Its a family run hotel in a very quiet neighbourhood but has a bus service right infront of the main door to barcelona university area. Breakfast is good, pool is nice and very quiete area.

• Aurelly (6/5): - Mon avis est très mitigé, il y a beaucoup à dire sur cet hôtel mais globalement je le recommande malgré ma note moyenne. Les bons côtés : chambre et SDB spacieuses, la vue, la piscine bien entretenue avec pataugeoire, l'hôtel est situé au calme dans un petit village mignon et agréable, le personnel est accueillant, ménage bien fait, la clim fonctionne bien. Les mauvais côtés : aucune isolation on entend les voisins, les gens qui passent dans le couloir et le pire pour moi était chaque matin d'entendre des portes claquer, il y a un manque d'équipement (pas de mini frigo, une seule poubelle qui se trouve dans la salle de bain, pas de bouilloire), l'accueil est situé dans un autre bâtiment que celui des chambres d'hôtels donc pas pratique pour emprunter les serviettes pour la piscine ou même pour juste poser une question.

• 478annh (10/5): A very pleasurable stay - We stayed one night here , the staff were extremely welcoming , our room , though a little dated was spacious and comfortable , clean plus a balcony with wonderful views over the valley . The use of the pool was welcoming on a warm day . The hibiscus hotel restaurant was excellent , the chef made a single portion of a dish that is normally only for 2 people . Breakfast was very fresh , fantastic coffee . The hotel was excellent value . A very pleasurable stay .

Noin puolen tunnin välein pääsee bussilla Barcelonaan (30 - 40 min), ja kun hyppää pois jollain metroaseman pysäkillä (esim. Maria Cristina) pääsee vaivattomasti mihin tahansa - rannalle, nähtävyyksille, ostoksille ... Rauhallisessa pikkukylässä mukava kierrellä ympäriinsä, ja saa samalla "porrastreeniä". Päivänmittaisille patikkaretkille ympäristöstä löytyy myös polkuja upeissa maisemissa. Hotellin henkilökunta tosi ystävällistä ja avuliasta.

Dafür sind alle freundlich und hilfsbereit.
• lorned780 (6/5): Stepping up - There is a great view from your balcony over the mountains and valley and you can even see Barcelona in the distance. The bedding and towels seemed clean but we had no room service in the four days we stayed. They provide some basic shower gel and shampoo in packets. The rooms vary greatly in quality... some have modern furniture and even air conditioning. Others (ours) have no air con and old worn and broken furnishings. Ours had a kitchenette and working TV but no safe, broken wardrobe doors, broken latches on the sliding balcony doors and even the room door lock was dodgy. The hairdryer in the bathroom was also broken. We opened the balcony door and also the door to the corridor and window on the other side of the block so you get a decent breeze through to give a semblance of air con. There are a lot of steps down to the pool and even more down to reception and the restaurant and bar. There are lifts but they are very slow and usually in use - often by staff - so be prepared to climb steps. The pool is nice and clean and although the area around it is concrete they put planters out and there are loads of sunbeds (quite old and basic metal and fabric) but not really a problem once you've put your towel over it. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of food in a buffet. Cereals; pastries, bread, toast, ham, cheese, coffee and OJ etc. Lunches and dinners were also good food and hearty portions. The waiting staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Bar service was prompt and very cheap. In fact they clearly struggled with pricing the spirits and you can easily end up being charged just a couple of Euros for virtually half a pint of Cointreau! The covered terrace is lovely place to eat or drink in the evening with a lovely view. It is very cheap but a decent enough basic hotel for exploring the area. You have to be prepared to rough it a bit and check which room you are getting as it really makes a difference. They offer parking but there is a free road to park on behind the hotel block and you have a back door key. Its a dead end so be good with tight 3 point turns.
• mary19john (6/5): Average - a no frills hotel but the rooms vary in quality so be careful - Staff were very helpful and polite. There is lift access throughout the 2 buildings. Views are amazing across the Catalonian villages. The rooms vary in quality. The family rooms are spacious and clean. Fire escapes do not seem to exist but at the back of the hotel escape can be made from the 4th floor. The hotel is build on the banks of the mountain and so the land rises at the back of the hotel with the building. Food was good and served politely and considerately. A lovely terrace allows for a great view for an evening drink. The pool is nice, shallow (an adult can stand throughout) and cleansed with a salt/chlorine mix. An outdoor shower helps clear this chemical, but there are not changing facilities near the pool. There is an under-hotel car park which is 6 euros a night - but you don't need it - the road behind the hotel is safe and secure and rarely used by cars. it is not a through road.

We had guests from our wedding staying there and unfortunately the variety of rooms was very different from guest to guest.They would need to do a complete refurbishment of the hotel to make it look a bit better as otherwise the location and specially the views are amazing!
• jeanette51 (6/5): Good Position - We were here for a wedding but were a bit disappointed with the quality of the rooms they need some money spending on them as things are broken , there is very little water pressure in the bathroom just enough for a shower , the rooms are big more like an apartment without a kitchen they have a room with table and 4 chairs and a sofa , separate bedroom , we had to go to reception to get a remote for the TV as there was not one in the room
• 294lightningd (4/5): School vist - It was a terrible place to stay! The views were lovely but the rooms were terrible! Stuff were broken, stained and one thing that confused us on light didn't work at all with two switches and the other one did. I think we should have had a choice of what to eat for done if the good we hot given were disgusting. If anyone's planning to go I wouldn't recommend you go for everyone in my school said it's a terrible place to go! By the way there was also a rat in the bathroom on the last day we were there...
• Indian_Nalini (10/5): The most pleasant surprise - We booked this hotel out of desperation and a fantastic deal online ($50 per night for 3), just two days before landing up there. We were skeptical that maybe staying a little far from Barcelona might cause us to miss out. How we were wrong! This place is absolutely beautiful, the county gives you a real glimpse of Spain, it's a beautiful old county with his you can't imagine are right from your room. I would love for people to discover this while eat the same time I hope it stays out of limelight to retain it's serene beauty. Loved the staff, super helpful and the restaurant is wonderful too. Don't sweat because it's away from Barcelona(45mins) and there are buses every half hour. From 6 onwards. There is also a direct bus back which runs till 10:30 from Barcelona (Maria Cristina) Stay here!!
• 829rogera (6/5): Nice place - This hotel is a bit old but nice and clean you get what you pay for. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is way up in a mountain village. The view is spectacular. There's a bus to Barcelona stopping every 15 min just outside the hotel. Breakfast is ok, coffee juice fruits and bread.
• M3174ESbobc (6/5): Brilliant location but a little tired - We stayed here as a party of about 30 people for a Catalan choir tour. The location was excellent for our purposes - much quieter and cheaper than staying in central Barcelona and the views are magnificent. Most of the accommodation is in a separate building to the reception and restaurant. Rooms are large with balconies but not all have air con. All clean and tidy and well serviced but fairly Spartan - eg no pictures on walls. Bed firm and comfortable. Room safe did not work nor did telephone (for internal or external calls). Wifi very weak and patchy - not in all rooms. Probably built in the seventies to a good standard but in urgent need of a revamp. Total lack of sound proofing between floors. Excellent choice of food at breakfast and the one dinner which we had in restaurant was very good. We had our own coach transfers arranged but probably a bit too far out of centre of relying on public transport.

Bus stop right outside for Barcelona, don't bother driving in, did that, not fun....Evening food good. Don't bother with breakfast as not much choice . Views fantastic. Joseph at the hotel very helpful and pleasant.
• 881susannahh (4/5): Really Poor - Stayed here on a school trip, thank god I didn't have to stay here on holiday. Location is really bad, in a godforsaken place on a mountain in the middle of nowhere. Takes 40 mins to drive into Barcelona. Nowhere nice nearby to walk to. The lift is old and slow, takes ages and doesn't work half the time, will get stuck at points. The only option is to take 7 flights of stairs - exhausting. The food is disgusting. They don't even provide a proper full breakfast - just some hard bread rolls, cold and hard pastries and croissants, some fruit FROM A TIN (there is so much fresh fruit available in Spain??? Never in my life has a hotel served me tinned fruit. Also some sliced cheese and a machine producing hot beverages that look and taste like dishwater. I was stuck with this meagre choice for an entire week. As for dinner - really poor. They served a shady soup that had clearly been made from powder to which milk was added. The meatballs were frankly worrying as they had a squishy consistency - pretty sure there was about 3% quality meat in there and the rest cheap filler. Pasta is reheated and disgusting. On another night we get chewy, dried out overboiled pork. The rooms leave a lot to be desired. They have no decor. Literally a barren room, no carpet, empty walls, just bed and a table. Unwelcoming and like a prison cell. Plus the tooms are FREEZING. I had to put 5 thick blankets on my bed, ridiculous when it was warm outside. Trip to the bathroom in the morning was hellish when I was shivering. Plus there is no power shower - the shower produces a weak drizzle - like flow. The walls are thin and we were plagued by noise from other rooms during the night. All I can say is I am praying for the guests at this hotel that actually had to go on holiday here. I would prefer to stay at home if I'm honest.
• 226eduards (10/5): Great option near Barcelona - We recently celebrated at Hotel Can Fisa the annual black tie dinner of our organization and we had a very nice experience: the event started with a reception canape at the terrace and then a geat dinner in a private hall. The food was excellent and the service very professional.
• chilee21 (8/5): Great hotel with a nice view - Stayed for 3 night and it's was a wonderful hotel. The location is high so the view is great. The room was spacious and handled our large family of adults. We got together and was a total of 6 adults. The room had two bathrooms and a balcony. The hotel was very clean and the employees were very friendly. The price is reasonable as well. The pool looked nice but we didn't have a chance to use it. They had free wifi but as it's an old stone building the wifi worked best on the balcony and right by the sliding glass doors only.
• theLadidah (6/5): Pleasant, great view, not mind-blowing - We did not eat at the hotel, but stayed two nights. The room was an excellent size - a mini-apartment style space with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room space and a large balcony. It comfortably fit 5 people without feeling cramped. It was clean, and the staff are very pleasant. The pool is large and the views from the balcony are beautiful. The pool is unsupervised and open most of the time (we didn't come across it closed at all, but I am not sure if it closes at night). Most of the beds were comfortable - although the "additional bed" to cover the fifth person was awful - a horrid sprung bed which made a lot of noise and was very uncomfortable, we didn't complain however, as we were tired enough to get through it! On the whole, the hotel was also quite quiet - occasionally there would be early risers making lots of noise in the swimming pool, but not much noise at night.
• UlsterFryNo1 (6/5): A step back in time in more ways than one. - We had a fine time at the Can Fisa but we're seasoned travellers and know how to cope with things that are less than ideal. For the unwary, tempted by the price, be careful. The comments by DAPB and Jayne2612 are accurate but not the whole story. The older 'upper' village of Corbera de Llobregat is a step back in time. It is the epitome of 'sleepy'. It has Mediaeval roots so the streets are narrow and hilly. The church is probably pre-13th century. But, while we were there, it was all closed: church, information centre, cultural centre and most of the shops. Looks like the 'upper' town is dying while the newer, 'lower' town, at the bottom of the hill, is thriving as a commuter town for Barcelona. The upper town could rival hilltop villages throughout Europe, if it got its act together, the lower town is soulless. The Hotel Can Fisa is also a step back in time, but not so far, just back to the heady days of the 70's Spanish holiday boom. It is absolutely typical of the period with no real character, paper thin walls and floors that seem to amplify sound from rooms above. Cracked plaster, lift panel held together by insulating tape, botled gas cooker, no bottle opener all added to the memories of holidays with my mates in Rimini and Benidorm. The food was definitely 70's quality (a bit mediochre to say the least). We had one evening meal, one late lunch and one breakfast (which, on the Ulster Fry Breakfast Scale scored 3/10). The service quality was the same: no towels changed until we asked, ran out of toilet roll, minimal and cheap toiletries. All of this was ok in the 70's but we expect better today. Staff-wise, Josep and the others on the main desk were very pleasant and helpful (although 50 euros transfer charge from the airport is steep - Josep took us back for 40 and I think could have been bargained down). The rest of the staff were surly - ah the 70's again. Ear plugs are a must - lack of air conditioning in the appartments means that, in hot weather, the windows need to be left open at night so if the dogs are barking, as they did for a couple of nights, they might drive you round the bend. The hotel website says that there's a bus service to Barcelona every twenty minutes. So there is, most of the day, but not always and not on Saturdays or Sundays. Also, the journey takes about an hour including a bit of waiting time and there's a fifteen minute walk at the other end to the Ramblas - but it's not an unpleasant journey. Knoiwing what we now know, I would hire a car to visit local wineries, Montserrat etc rather than trying to do it by public transport. If you're cooking for yourself, it's a must to get to the lower town for groceries, although, if you're happy to eat simply (bread, cheese, ham, juices etc) there is a small shop at the opposite end of the upper town. There's an old folks' residential home in Corbera de Llobregat - Can Fisa is probably best suited to the same market. The only night-life is a bar with a few old codgers and two 50's coffee bars! If you're easy-going and looking for somewhere quiet, cheap and without any fuss, Can Fisa could work well for you.
• DAPB (8/5): Excellent value for money - The check in was quick and efficient. the room was very clean, very large with huge floor to ceiling windows and a large balcony, with stunning views, especially at night. We ate in the town and left early so no idea what the food was like but we had a quick drink in the bar and it seemed comfortable and laid back. this place is a bargain compared to hotels in Barcelona at about a quarter of the price, and only a 20 minute drive away, was ideal for us as we were travelling about Spain in a hire car. Some people may say it is too far out, but we thought it was great..
• jayne2612 (8/5): Good value Hotel, great staff - We stayed in one of the apartments adjacent to the Hotel. The staff were very helpful suggesting ways to get Barcelona from Girona airport before we decided to hire a car. Great location in the hills about 20km out of Barcelona. All the rooms have wonderful views of the valley and the small town of Corbera. The rooms were clean and tidy if a little dated but I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Great value for money, we didn't eat in the Restaurant so can't comment.

• Heisenberg_uk (6/5): "Great rooms, view and pool...but needs tweaking in some areas - We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a trip to the Barcelona area. I was with a wife and 2 small kids. First of all the positives: We were in a family apartment on the pool side of the road (The hotel is split in 2 and divided by a road inbetween), The room was huge, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a spacious sitting/TV area and large balcony. We had a great view and it was clean pleasant and comfortable. The pool was great for the kids, warm enough and had a shallow end. The terrace restaurant looked nice but was out of our price range. The location is impressive - about 30 minutes from Barcelona. The negatives: Long trek up with our luggage (which we had a lot of) in a small lift - only 1 lift for 4 people in a 7 storey hotel! Thankfully it was working. Shabby sunloungers by the pool. A minor point but an example of the overall impression that the hotel was a little neglected. Expensive restaurant. Dogs seem to bark all night here and the sound does carry upwards - we used earplugs and clearly this is not the responsibility of the hotel but worth knowing if you are a light sleeper. Restaurant is pricey. Overall it was good value and we would consider going here again.
