Only one coffee despense was on the counter upon our arrival at 1:00 p.m. I know coffee is getting expensive, but hey, we paid $140 to stay one night. Only one choice on coffee (regular) during the day. And the coffee was warm, should have been HOT. Need to check the heat settings on the coffee pot.

Linda (5/5): Not too pleased - It was convenient. Rooms spacious. Breakfast decent The staff was not helpful. They gave us one word answers We asked for towels and were told we are on the schedule. What time who knows . After waiting for 11/2 hrs we had to track down an employee. Room was never cleaned and coffee was not replenished. We were there for 3 nights. We would not recommend to future relatives who are going to visit.

It was dirty. There was hairs on the shower. The walls were dirty. The toilet paper was half empty sink cut hairs. The floors seem like they never been mopped or swept before for the location. It was utterly disgusting.

John (10/5): - Great location for staying in the McKinney/NE Dallas metro. Easy access to the interstate. Hotel is newer and clean. Buffet breakfast was very good, but could use more seating on the busy weekend. Parking was good, just don’t forget your parking tag. Plenty of shopping, food, and entertainment options near by. During our stay our shower door leaked water onto the floor. Asked our three other traveling couples and they had the same problem to varying degrees. This caused us to ask for more towels. We did not get towels. Three days with a wet floor towel on the floor. Again minor, but we should have had towels. The pool area was also out of towels. When asked about this we were told “they were in the dryer”. They said this for two days. Let’s hope the dryer issue or towel issue is fixed.

Shenina (6/5): - As previous reviews mention, this hotel seems to have problems with ants in the room. I killed several ants in the bathroom and throughout my room. I was on the 3rd floor, so I definitely wouldn’t expect an ant infestation. Also they need to have house keeping dust the headboards. Gross thick build up.
Jonathan (6/5): You most likely can do better - The trip started off ok with check in but upon entering our room we found that the tv didn’t work. No big deal and the Front Desk receptionist tried to help but was unsuccessful so she said she put in a ticket for the maintenance guy. They never showed up to fix it. Not the end of the world but helps with the kids. Then we discovered the room had ants that just got worse by the end of stay. This was probably also to the fact that housekeeping never once came to our room.

Danielle (4/5): The pool is not swimmable - I usually love SpringHill Suites but this one in particular does not clean their pool. It had algae growing in it, water was practically green, did one scrub with the pool brush and it was clear it had not been cleaned. The craziest thing is before my husband realized it, he went to front desk to ask for pool towels and the front desk gave them to him. Did not mention at all that the pool was unsafe to swim in.

Vernon (1/5): Terrible communication and ability to recitify problems! Do not recommend! - Terrible communication by the assistant manager Razi, and the handling of a booking that was paid twice. Arrived at hotel, to be told the booking was not paid, and that booking.com needed to provide a virtual credit card for the payment to be deducted, however it was provided, but Springhill Suites had attempted to deduct more than what was originally prepaid/booked for, hence why the payment I made was not showing. When I originally handed over my credit card on checkin, I had assumed that it was just going to be for the standard holding fee as most hotels would normally do. The front desk receptionist at the time had not discussed anything about taking out the full amount or explained what my credit card was going to be charged and just took the extra payment, although I had already paid it online. I did not even register this until afterwards and I checked my online bank account. On reflection, I should have questioned why they needed my credit card again although already having fully being paid - but after a long international travel from New Zealand plus domestic travel (almost 19 hours of travelling) and baggage not arriving from a domestic flight from Houston to Dallas (which was another issue), the “brain” was absolutely not working! Once the problem had been discovered, this is when the nightmare began in trying to get it resolved with Razi, the assistant manager. Had seen the assistant manager twice the following day to get it resolved, and he advised that he was working on it. Went to reception later that afternoon a third time to find out what the progress was, only to be told by reception that he had gone home for the day and would not be back til Wednesday, knowing that we were checking out on the Monday (2 days prior)!!!!!!! As above

yingz900 (4/5): Sub par experience - This hotel is sub par. We stayed there for a week recently. When we arrived, we were told by the hotel that the cleaning was to be every other day. On the first night, the toilet overflowed. We asked for cleaning the next morning, but the front desk staff told us the cleaning can only happen every other day so it was not our day to clean yet. I was given a Lysol spray can and towels and was told to "clean it yourself." I cleaned the mess up but had a lot of towels piled up in the bathroom. So, I asked the front desk if the cleaning people could come to collect the towels. The front desk staff initially said that it was not my day for the cleaning so the cleaning people would not be able to come in to collect the dirty towels and I had to put the towels outside of our room myself. I told her the towels were gross and she said that the cleaning people will come the next day to collect the towels. Then, on the day of the "actual" cleaning, the dirty towels were removed by the cleaning people. However, the only "cleaning" they did was to make the bed, empty the trash cans, but nothing else. They left a new soap bar but didn't wipe down the bathroom vanity and counter. On the third night of our stay, the hotel had a scheduled electricity outage so there was no air conditioning for about 4 hours during the night. In addition to these inconveniences, the elevators had minimal air conditioning and had smelled like spoiled food the whole time we were there. The hotel also didn't supply any water for the rooms. We had to purchase water bottles ourselves at $6 per bottle. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone coming to McKinney, especially there are so many hotels at that location.
